Previous weeks I had good quality. That's now changed, rock hard uncooked chips, fish partly cooked...I asked for Cod twice but I did not get cod...so many eyes looking at me in the chips. Last time I eat here, will travel elsewhere from today. Shocking quality.

I had chips with mushy peas on top with a few scraps. The peas were sour, they tasted awful! The chips were dry and bland, also lukewarm. I don’t know how a fish shop can get something so simple like chips and peas and get it so wrong! It was vile, worst fish shop I’ve ever been to.

Called here after me and my partner had been away for the weekend as it was the only open one we could find . It was 12oclock so not sure if it had only just opened? After waiting 20+ minutes for our order ...which I thought must have been getting cooked so i accepted the wait. We got home to find luke warm chips,curry and peas. A battered sausage that seemed like it had been sat there from the night before and a fishcake (pattie) that was warm but potato still hard and partly cooked. I didnt think it possible to get scraps wrong? But even these were stale and no crunch to them! Very bad experience, no matter how hungry I am I would not eat here agsin

Anyone who does anything but slam the food and service for this chippy is on the take. Worst fish chips and peas EVER. All thrown away £20 for 2 small portions of fish, 1 small chips,,1 portion of peas,sorry, green water, all now in bin, wow !!!! Service crap too with not enough English to even take your order,just pointed.

Just ordered 2 kebab specials, the base ( it’s meant to come with a garlic bread base ) is basically a round circle of cardboard, I’m guessing the guy forgot to put the garlic butter on, first time and last time I’ll be going here !!! Unbelievably bad

Ive been putting off doing this review as i think if you dont have anything nice or positive to say then dont say it, however im still annoyed with my order think if the owners actually read this then maybe they can adapt and chamge and make this chip shop into a good one. Thought I would give the place a go used to be the best chippi in the area years ago, popped in and ordered a large chips at £3.50 and thought I'd indulge and order onion rings also at £3.50, (kids love the onion rings from the chippy). There was only myself in the shop but it took the bloke 20mins to give me my order, if I had not paid by card I would have requested my money back and gone else where. When I eventually got my order I was mortified a large chips was more like a small chips (I'd say 1 large handfull) and the onion rings where small, mushy breaded things that have obviously been bought from a supermarket. The chips where dry a little chewy as though they had been sat for ages, and they where just warm. Very disappointed and will not be going back. I must add the shop itself seemed very clean and did not have that greasy look to it. Just think they need to sort out the food and portion sizes.

The menu was very rich and delicious. Lovely shop 😋

Ordered a pizza which was ok to some point. Also ordered a donner burger this arrived cold and did not have any kebab meat inside ? So why advertise a donner burger if you are nit going to put donner meat inside.

Can't rate atmosphere as ordered online but the food was great and I didn't have to wait very long to arrive

Food not good. Chips were hard and grey looking, couldn't decide if they had been refried or pinged in the microwave, really unpleasant, they went in the bin. Fish was buried under the chips so the batter was soggy and the fish was squashed into the box. Food was hot, and delivered quickly but that is the only positive. I have ordered from here before, it was lovely but think it must have changed ownership, tonight was awful. Sorry guys!! Won't order again £15 wasted.

Delivery was on time. All the food was hot and tasted good. Delivery person was polite and friendly.

Our first and last visit to this chippy - the fish cake was uncooked and cold, batter around fish was soggy and just not nice, chips were ok - I’ve had better and the curry sauce was forgotten All in all very unimpressed

The pizza and chips was lovely, they have changed the chips and you can really tell the difference & delivery was on time.

Food from this establishment used to be impeccable before the old owners sold the business. The new owners are running this place into the ground. Have ordered a few times since the new management took over and there is no quality at all. I put it down to teething problems and said I’d still try again and hope they improve and they still haven’t - ordered a chip butty with curry sauce today and some of the chips were lovely, while others were either cold or not even cooked through. The teacake was hard and not buttered and the curry was tasteless and watery. I’m not sure why the new owners bought a fish and chip shop if the best and tastiest thing they sell are their pizza/calzone/garlic breads they have on their menu. Will not be returning. Kostas Plaice up the road is much better than this establishment.

One of my friends ordered a kebab wrap at 20:30 still no delivery when phoned at 21:20 when we called we we’re told that the delivery guy had phone 3 times (this phone had no missed calls). The restaurant was still open at this time and refused to deliver my friend's order... I'd understand if they where closed but they weren't!!! The customer service from the owner was appalling will never order myself!! The lady on the phone at first however she was pleasant and willing to help I think.... So that's a pub full of people who's you've lost orders from!!!

The amount of food given for what we paid and ordered was shameful. Make sure you know that a large meal is the equivalent to a kids meal , what an absolute waste of money .Won’t be ordering again considering we paid 20 quid for what would be usually 2x3.50 fish specials which would’ve probably contained more food !

We gist have some chiken wich was all burnt and very greasy seeing the price for it 3.80 for 2 pic and we had 6 pic wich we didn’t eat I was aspected to be at last eatable and curly chips burnt and dry aswell .not recommended

Food arrived on time but was absolutely terrible. The fish was undercooked, grey in colour and batter soggy. The chips were half decent. Would not order again.

Just called for chips n curry n ended up putting them straight in the bin outside. Disgusting.

Called in here for a quick chippy tea the fish and chips were cooked well with a very tasty fish in a nice batter, to top it off it was a generous portion.

Over the last few years I popped into this chippy for the occasional fish, chips and peas meal but, sadly, it's not the best chippy I've tried by a long way. They always seem to give very generous portions (which is nice) but the food has little, if any, traditional 'fish and chips' flavour, which I find really disappointing. Instead, I find that there is an odd taste to the food - which may come from the cooking oils they use to prepare it. In addition, the peas often have an wholly unnatural colour to them (too much colouring?) - which makes me wonder what it is exactly that I'm eating! If these issues could be addressed by the owners then I think they would have the recipe for a successful fish and chip shop but until they do, I think I'll go elsewhere for my food.

We've been here a few times. The first time we really enjoy it and the chips were to die for the 2nd time pretty much everything went in the bin and we just ordered a takeaway. The chips were scabby and not cooked properly the fish was dry and the peas tasted like cheap tinned mushy peas. Will not be visiting any time soon

Called in from work one day for a quick tea never been in before and when I got home they had given me a massive fish n the chips were spot on

Well on my tour again and came across this place on the side of a road. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food from this unassuming place. The chjps were well cooked, and were real potato, which in this day, age, and part of the world comes as a treat. There is only basic. traditional condiments on the counter, salt and vinegar. There is parking on the main road outside. There is a variety of foods available. Service is good.
