Danieli on the Green in Richmond upon Thames

A quick visit for a single cone. Fast, pleasant service. Biscuit gelato, and all looked in general, much softer that i’m used to, but tasted great. Sensible price.

What a gem of a gelato and chocolate shop with the best gelato in the London area! The gelato they serve is so much better than what we Americans call ice cream, and the wonderful service with a smile from Freya and Catherine made our day. For Ted Lasso fans, Danieli's exterior has appeared in the first 2 seasons and rumor has it that a scene from season 3 was shot there. A visit to Richmond wouldn't be complete without a stop at Danieli on the Green!

This is one of my favourite gelato places. I absolutely love their pistachio..today I went and the server was so rude...no taste aloud! I literally come here at least once a week! Anyway luckily the sorbet and gelato was heavenly. Absolutely love the quality here. Even in the winter months I cannot resist

Fantastic customer service, AMAZING selection of chocolates! Beautifully boxed & wrapped. Such a lovely idea for a gift or even self indulgence! Every piece of chocolate was more luscious than the other…. Highly recommend!

I have always loved the chocolates from this place - my sister-in-law buys them for me every Christmas. We don't live nearby, so I was delighted recently when I discovered they deliver. The service was just as brilliant as the chocolate. I ordered a box for my parents, and the staff went out of their way to get the gift message right, and send them out on time. When one of the boxes got stuck at the post office (not their fault), they sent another, even though I told them they didn't need to. So now my parents have had two boxes. And of course they are now the biggest fans too.

Danieli have two outposts virtually next door to each other one mainly a take-away for ice creams and chocolates directly overlooking Richmond’s Green the other selling identical produce with more seating. Apparently the vanilla ice was served to the Queen on the occasion of her 80th birthday. And if fit for a monarch who could say the tubs and cones of gelato we chose were not fit for us. A choice of thirty or more flavours including a special of the day which didn’t seem to be finding many takers. Particularly pleased with my choice of mango sorbet and cherry. Only problem: how to find an available bench on the green before it started to melt.

I purchased two lots of chocolates, one for my sister in law (Gluten-free) and one for my mother (diabetic) Sarah was extremely helpful and polite, I also got talking to Carlo the owner, his genuine passion for his products is amazing, Carlo insisted I try his gelato and explained where and how he sources his ingredients. The chocolates were beautifully presented in gift wrap - I highly recommend Danieli on The Green and will definitely be returning.

As an ice cream fiend I cannot believe that I missed this gem. The queues ten minutes before closing were a massive giveaway as to what treat I was about to have... So ok diet starts tomorrow. I had three scoops...mango sorbet, pistachio and biscuit. Absolutely amazing. Glad I've discovered this place.

there was a long queue for ice cream today but it was worth the wait . A great selection of ice creams, sorbets and frozen yogurts. The fig and yogurt and chocolate sorbet were delicious. As good as traditional Italian ice cream.

I regularly visit Danieli and am never disappointed! The chocolate is amazing as is the ice cream (especially the pistachio) Definitely the best around. The staff are always so helpful and greet me with a hello and smile. If you're in Richmond I 100% recommend a visit here.

Beautiful ice creams with lots of flavour choices - more traditional & unusual. You could go crazy because they're all delicious!

With no quality chocolate purveyor in Kingston upon Thames, I made the journey by bus to Richmond and came here for the first time to purchase a large box of luxury chocolates for a Diamond Wedding Anniversary gift. The shop is spotlessly clean, busy and the staff are friendly. I paid £75.00 for the largest box available and a member of staff consulted with me before filling it neatly. What she failed to inform me prior to putting the lid on, ribboning it and decorating was that they were out of protective covers to keep the chocs in place. Once home, I could tell they had fallen out of their neat little rows and cases and were a complete mess. Also without a covering they had marked the inside of the presentation box. I did phone to offer feedback and they asked me to return for them to repackage. At 17.30hrs on a Friday and being a bus user this wasn't practical. I'm bitterly disappointed for the amount I spent. My goodwill has been lost.

Otra cosa si quieres beber el café mediocre que se habrán de servir tienes que bajar a la calle y tomar su café.También algunas sugerencias para conseguir que sus camareros hablan inglés estás en Inglaterra y no tan grosero.

We return to get some rum and raisin truffles. The owner has seen trip advisor review and remembers me and asks how the last chocolates were. She finds it hysterical that the I did like the last lot and that she charged me 97p to try it. Oh how funny you are! Please remember your local customers - we do talk!

By far the best Ice cream in Richmond. The ingredients are genuinely Italian in nature, i.e. no vegetable of animal fats, and the flavours are derived from natural ingredients. The service is friendly and they are happy for you to sample the range before deciding on your selection. The chocolates are similarly free from additives and are the best value for fine chocolates in the area.

Danieli's ice cream was so popular that he has has to open a second shop! This one sells chocolate through the winter, and ice cream in summer. It's a great location, right on Richmond Green.
