28-Apr-23 D'Angelo Orpington. Visited on a Friday evening for dinner. Received a warm welcome even though it was my first visit. Nice Aperol Spritz and San Pellegrino to start. Burrata was excellent with saffron strands topping. Seafood risotto was OK but lacking depth of flavour. I was surprised it wasn't busier, but appreciate there's a lot of local competition. I'd happily return, and try a different main course that might be more to my taste.

We have eaten here before but felt we must comment on tonight's meal. Grilled King prawns were superb as a starter followed by moules mariners which was excellent. Combine this with good service and you have a great evening out.

Although quite empty inside must say the lunch was excellent. The ambience inside this lovely restraunt is classy and we were were very impressed. We had the 2 course lunch and came away feeling very full. The Tiramisu was to die for. 1st visit here and definitely won't be the last.

Visited with a friend the choice of restaurant was determined by the fact we both love Italian food. What we ordered could not be described as food but total rubbish! We ordered brushetta with advocation! The whole dishes tasted very peculiar a burnt taste we realised there was no avocado called the waiter he looked at menu and agreed went to kitchen said chef had none so he had plastered it in raw garlic! The main meal was pure pasta with little salmon and no asparagus and my friends risotto was like ice cream! We were given a “free” dessert! The wine was expensive but the best part of the meal. We couldn’t pay by card as the machine wouldn’t work! We had to leave and go and find cash! What sort of a disaster of a restaurant is this??.. diabolical! Please don’t waste your time and money! Very dissatisfied!

We pre-booked a table for 12. 11 adults and a ten year old for his 10th birthday party. The staff were surly and unhelpful, would not split the bill into a separate one for 5, 2 for 2 and 2 for 3. Restaurant was empty when we arrived a 6.30 and we had to ask twice for drinks, they arrived 30 mins later. Another hour passed before we received starters and another hour after with the main courses. Orders were wrong, food was cold, there were children in the kitchen an tables of 2/4 that arrived after us were served before us and eating and leaving before we had our main courses. The lamb with potatoes and veg had tomato pasta sauce on it - obviously dished up with a dirty spoon. Our 10 year old became tired and hungry and couldn't eat his main course because it was after 9pm. The bill was around £500 and we were left to break it down for individual costs ourselves. All of this was reported to staff by 2 of us and there was a 'couldn't care less' response. WE WILLNEVER RETURN to this disaster of what calls itself a restaurant. I have eaten in 100s of 5 star restaurants across the world and while I didn't expect this standard, I expected some level. I've eaten and had better service and food in a transport cafe!! I'm flabbergasted by the 5 star reviews on the site!

The service was good we was looked after. However we had waited a very long time for our starters to arrive and it wasn’t overly busy. It was also freezing cold. When our starters arrived they was tasty. That being the bruschetta and the calamari. The soft chicken marinated on the other hand the chicken was salty and warm. The other chicken on a skewer was cold in the restaurant. We waited a very long time for the main courses to come. I was hoping maybe the would make up for the wait. When the “14”oz rib eye arrived it was served so flat you could not tell what was mushroom and what was steak. I was not entirely convinced it was rib eye let alone 14 ounces. For the price you pay we was left so disappointed. The risotto under the chicken confit and also the wild mushroom Risotto was far too cheesy and almost inedible. The Navarin of lamb was cold once arrived which the waiter apologised. This should not be expected after having to wait ages for our main courses to arrive. The buttery spinach tasted boiled and not what I was expecting for “buttery spinach” I’d presumed it would be pan seared in butter instead it was more water logged than buttery. So so very dissatisfied it was my mother in laws birthday for the prices you pay on the dishes I wished we went else where. With various delays between each course I felt as though this was as a result of a much larger table of around 14 people. And felt as though that tables food was prioritised before a table of 5.

We went here for a Saturday lunch and opted for their set 2 course menu. The food was very tasty and exemplary service. We really enjoyed it! we eat out a lot and I do not often take the time to write a review but this little restaurant deserves it, they are doing a great job and one of the nicest meals for the money that we have ever had! The rose wine is good too! if you ever needing to eat out in this location, go here! you will not be disappointed.

This place is brilliant, and quite easily the best restaurant on Orpington High Street. I have now been twice now, once with party of 9. Seafood and fish is super fresh and very well cooked. We enjoyed a variety of dishes - starter grilled prawns, fried calamari, mains prawn risotto, seafood linguine, lamb shanks, salmon, all were very good. Home made sorbets (tried raspbery and mango) were absolutely perfect! Happy to recommend to anyone!

We toyed with the idea of travelling into central London to find a special restaurant for a special occasion. We decided to stay in Orpington but try D'angelo's as they had some good reviews. We were not disappointed: The quality of the food was outstanding and delicious, everything was cooked perfectly, served by very efficient and friendly people. It's not cheap, but for a special occasion we thought it was perfect!

Have just got back. Really nice restaurant. Nice atmosphere, lovely staff and great food. I had Penne Pollo Picante. It came with a garlic and olive flatbread which was unexpected but very nice. Waiter and waitress in particular were really nice to me. I wouldn't hesitate to go again. It's a bit special!

Visited this restaurant for my birthday, the staff was attentive, food was tasty. Not many people made it speak easy. Good and strong cocktails. Pleasant atmosphere. A good place to eat good food, a place you would come again

It was very quiet when we went on Saturday 23/4 at 1530. Looks like a fairy new business. Not sure if it is. The people serving were polite, friendly and attentive and could not do more for us. Service was prompt and food came in good time and at a good pace for us. Food itself was of a high quality and everything was lovely to fresh and piping hot. Menu was broad and there was something for everyone. Even had a set menu. It’s a shame they were not more busy, they deserved to be as the place is lovely. Ambiance was just right for us. Nice touch was when the owners family came in and ate too. Shows they have faith in their own food. Also the rest rooms were fresh and clean, for us another good sign of a well managed establishment. Well done. We will be coming again.

The staff are very friendly the food really good and beautifully presented, unfortunately the restaurant was very quiet for a Saturday night so the atmosphere was lacking. This is a lovely restaurant and I would definitely return.

A total rip off, so overpriced…you aspect for some quality, but any festival food truck have higher quality. £7,50 for an appetizer composed of falafel & hummus for one( barely), very scarce, at least the falafel was good, the hummus as good as the ones sold on tesco, and £15 for a basic cheeseburger( horrible) that didn’t worth £5, I wouldn’t pay £5 for a dry old bum with an overcooked, dry, unflavored, and certainly frozen patty, served with and mediocre salad and processed yellow cheese ( sottilette kind)Horrible, horrible, bad and cheap ingredients, badly cooked and overcharged. I was charged £35 for that with one drink and 10% service . Total rip off.

A fabulous cafe, by far my favourite in the area. Great meals and a lovely place to sit. Lots of choice and cakes you won't be able to resist.
