Disappointed last time, was so much better when it opened

Amazing food, big portions, good value, good service. Couldn’t ask for anything more truly flavourful and will definitely be going back.

Lamb and chicken was absolutely amazing

I have been to may Turkish restaurants and the quality of food was top notch and portions so foiling I wasn’t able to finish. Definitely recommend and I will be coming back.

Delicious food and plenty of it!

Our first time visiting Damla and was very impressed with the large choice of food. The flat bread served with some dips and salad prior to the starters arriving was a really tasty welcome. The Fisherman Casserole was outstanding, loads of mussels, and generous selection of fish in a really tasty sauce served piping hot! Tasted like it was made with proper home made fish stock rather than the ready made stock pots I use at home. Hubby had the lamb kebabs which again were absolutely delicious. Very good value for the amount of food you get. Looking forward to returning again to try many of the other dishes I couldn't decide on which to try! A wonderful restaurant in Burton, hope they do well to keep going in these tough times.

I feel like this place has potential but the food, although nice, was not anything special and was let down by a strange atmosphere. The waiting staff didn't know anything about the menu and despite only having 2 tables in the restaurant, there was no music, leaving us to hear the conversations in the kitchen. They haven't been open long so I'm sure they will improve over time as everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

First time going to Dalma and the food was fantastic and great portions! We had a few complaints from our evening but would prefer these to be looked at as constructive criticism as I would love for this restaurant to do really well. Staffing seemed to be an issue as only 2 members of staff serving and clearing. This meant that drinks orders were forgotten and it took a while for the plates to be cleared. The staff were friendly which is why I rated service as a 3 instead of a 2. I really hope this can be taken on board and we shall see you again soon.

Really good experience!! We had the chicken platter shared for 2 and it was absolutely lovely! We then had some desserts which again they were of a higher quality! Really good dinner, we will be back again 😋

First time went with friends excellent meal will definitely be going back loved it just need to clear table from starters before bring main course out but other wise excellent 👍👍

Ordered mushrooms and the panko shrimp starters which were both great and came with their own rice. Chicken was spot on but lamb a touch overdone. Bread was great and salad was nice too.

We have been here twice and we have always been greeted and seated straight away. Our orders were taken within a couple minutes of arriving, drinks took about 5 minutes and food arrived quickly. I'm surprised at the other reviews as we have not seen any issues with service and the food is always amazing. I hope it gets a bit more local support because I personally would be sad to see it close.

Visited for the first time recently. We seen very mixed reviews when they first opened so waited for any " teething issues" to resolve. Went for lunch which we had booked a table. On arrival the doors were unlocked so we walked in but there were no staff around. After calling and waiting someone arrived out of the kitchen as told us to find a table. We were the only ones in the restaurant. The starters brought out were delicious but we didn't receive our drinks order until our food arrived which was over an hour after we arrived. One of the party chased their food as they had to go to work (we had allowed 2 hours...) so their caesar salad arrived on its own. We waited and another 4 meals were bought, 1 was wrong which they rectified. Waited another 5 or so minutes for the final meal, only for it to be a half portion due to a "mix up" and another half bowl arrived 10 mins later. A gentleman member of staff apologised for the poor service and explained a waitress hadn't turned up. They staff who were there were friendly and most of the mains were OK, not the best food. A very disappointing birthday meal and won't be in a hurry to return.

Took the family down on a weekday and it was amazing less busy so more attentive and we had a wonderful experience for my sons birthday as the staff even had a cake done also collectively singing for him which we found lovely. Great to see a turkish restaurant in Burton Latimer and we will be definitely be regularly visiting.

Delicious food and excellent service. The hot and cold meze platter is amazing. For mains, our favourites are the Fishermans Casserole and the other House Specials. A truly great range of dishes on the menu and they never disappoint.

We were very excited to try this restaurant at the weekend after seeing such amazing reviews however unfortunately we left extremely disappointed. The service was the worst we have ever experienced, certain staff didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing and walked around aimlessly. We we seated without menus for around 15 minutes, had to ask for our drinks order to be taken. Menus aren't even for this restaurant and are in fact using the Sedir ones which drinks prices reflect different on to their drinks menu. Why open a restaurant without menus when so much effort is put into promoting, decor etc. When starters were bought out mine wasn't the correct order so my partner was left with his and I waited over 10 minutes for mine to be cooked and when it finally arrived it was practically thrown Infront of me with no apology and my partner had finished his. Mains weren't great and meat was quite dry. Due to the bad experience we decided to leave without dessert because we just wanted to get home. Waitress asked how we found the meal and when we expressed that we weren't happy at all she had nothing to say and just continued to get the bill. There were so many tables complaining on this Saturday evening, which appears strange as there is so many amazing reviews...maybe it was just a bad night they were having.

Awful night, a series of problems I won’t mention them all. For those who say we should of spoken to the managers we did 3 times. I ordered a mixed grill then another plate arrived and I was accused by management that I ‘didn’t’ order the mixed grill. I don’t appreciate being called a lie. When food come back again it was clearly microwaved and very slap dash. To top it off and I am being very serious. During the night and the next day I vomited 4 times. Yes I appreciate I may not be allowed to link this to the meal however quite a coincidence. If you want to talk you message me.

7 of us ate at Damla tonight. Food was delicious, and the restaurant has the potential to be excellent. Three of the meals served did not come with rice. We did tell the female waitress twice after the meal but she wasn’t interested at all. But we did tell the waiter when we asked for the bill. He did apologise and did offer complimentary desserts. We will go back. Lovely atmosphere. As I said before once established the restaurant will be brilliant and hopefully next time will give 5 stars.

Went there for a birthday meal this evening. Could not fault the food at all, was impeccable. A couple of small teething issues with service and menus took a little longer than expected but once ordered all food was perfect. The music in the corner was a bit loud and very random so would suggest it was turned down and left on a playlist for the evening. Staff were quite happy to sort a birthday cake for us and they even offered a complimentary bottle of champagne. Salads and bread were very much family style and shared amongst the table, which I thought was quite good. If service were to be improved and the background music sorted, this would have been a 5 star visit. I hope to return soon!
