Dalton's Cafe in Lisburn

I always went there first thing in the morning. At 7.40 I went to order breakfast to be told by this awful young girl who obviously doesn’t want to be there that we don’t open until 7.45. Stuff your breakfast. I go to Bob and Berts now. Such pleasant staff there.

My husband and I would visit Daltons quite regularly for breakfast or lunch. We’ve never been disappointed with any of our visits. Their food is lovely and love their homemade soups. Recently tried their toasted tuna, onion & tomato wraps just for something different, really nice. All the staff there are lovely, Leigh in particular who always takes the time to chat.Will be back in next week again I’m sure as we usually come at least once a week lol.

I’d cycled from Belfast, I ended up on Market street, did a quick TripAdvisor search for a coffee shop & Daltons won my hard earned wonga, there were vacant seats outside which also sold the deal as I’d not packed the cycle lock, so wanted to keep an eye on the velo..Only had coffee & cake, was very tasty, less than a fiver, so I was ok with that, was very pleasant surroundings with the water features opposite the shop.I’d be tempted to sample the fresh sandwiches if there was a next time, though I’m sure the return journey wouldn’t be so fast

Great sandwiches made right in front of you with a great selection. I couldn't ask for more. Staff friendly and helpful

Have eaten here a few times now. Every time I have been totally satisfied with the sandwich I believe they make an amazing sandwich. Never had any problems with service actually had a bit of banter with one of the staff members before so I would say it’s a friendly environment. Yes I agree 50p for onions is a bit expensive but hey it’s a good sandwich! I’m willing to not let that get in the way of me and a good lunch!

They got my order wrong twice and the staff were pretty rude and unfriendly. The server at the till didnt even look at me as i paid my over priced bill, i wished her a merry Christmas and thanked her anyway but i was ignored... rude. The pricing is expensive for what is only average food, if the service was better i could easily overlook the price but this is not the first time i have had this kind of service at daltons. I wont b returning

I visited Dalton's at 1pm on 16 August for lunch. The place was very busy but there were a few tables available. We ordered the Irish fry with 5 pieces. Mine was vegetarian, and my cousin's had bacon and sausage. The food arrived within 5 - 10 minutes. I really wanted to try their Irish bread and soda bread and I was not disappointed. It was delicious. Definately worth visiting for fresh and delicious food.

We are repeat customers to this fine establishment, where the staff cannot do enough to make your visit more enjoyable. The boss lady is always in attendance, serving customers just like one of her staff.A great selection of sit down or carry out on their menu, I cannot recommend their salads highly enough numerous already prepared (but fresh) ingredients await your selection, portions are very generous. Do yourself a favour, call for lunch some day, and I can assure you, you will surely not be disappointed.There is a varied menu available in addition to the salad bar, we have not been disappointed in any of our selections to date.

nothing is too much trouble for the staff, will cater for whatever you want even though it is not on the menu. Sandwiches are reaaly well filled with your choice of filling and taste excellent

We visit daltons quite regularly. One of my favourites is their chicken Caesar salad which I get quite often. Their sandwiches are quite expensive but there is plenty of filling in them. Staff are friendly. I’ve never had a problem here any time I have been.

Ordered a sandwich and was asked did I want salad with it. I asked for tomato and onion. I handed over £5.00 and it was then the girl said £4.40. I said "it says £3.90 on the menu board". She said it was for the onion. I asked her why she did not tell me that there was a charge for the onion. She simply shrugged her shoulders, There was a crowd of people behind me and I didn't want to get in to an argument. Did she deliberately take my money before telling me the price? Hmmmm. If I hadn't given the money when she told me the price I would have said I no longer wanted the sandwich.

Call in for lunch on Monday while shopping in Lisburn. No problem getting seats. you go to food counter to place your order. Our food came short time later. I got the teriayki wrap which was piping hot and delicious and my partner got scramble egg and toast. Service good staff good and friendly and food excellent. Will call again

We both got sandwiches which I could not say a bad word about, they were well filled but very expensive. The staff were not very friendly at all, they grunted and were not pleasant. This would put me off coming back!

Utilizamos esta tienda sándwich regularmente cuando visitemos Lisburn. Los bocadillos son hechos a la orden, y hay una variedad de panes para elegir, marrón, blanco wraps, etc. Hay una gran variedad de rellenos. Ya que son hechos a la orden, puede omitir los ingredientes, como en el caso de queso de mi esposa. También ahora sirve desayunos fritos, que es una adición reciente. Además puedes conseguir sopa y ensaladas. No es el más barato, pero recibes lo que pagas.

Hemos usado un par de veces, Daltons sus sándwiches son generalmente bien, pero un par de veces que hemos tenido problemas con diferentes ensaladas y sándwiches de ser incorrecto o encontrar en ellos los visitantes inesperados.

Como digo, Dalton es un lugar concurrido, con un montón de gente, y un gran sandwiches sin Phaffing. Sólo tengo una reserva. . . . . . Una taza de café caliente no es. El café estaba tibia cuando tienes y si pones la leche en su, bien, realmente tibio. ¿Cuál es el problema? Tienen temor de 1 grados de quemaduras. De todos modos no sándwiches y el personal es genial.

Así que teléfono y pedir sándwiches con todas la ensalada encima y la persona se lee de atrás para ti, hasta ahora tan bueno.

Mi hermana y yo, junto con su recién nacido parado aquí para el almuerzo un día durante la semana. La comida estaba bien, es muy caro y sobrevalorado, como para el personal de la sonrisa no mucho esfuerzo. También el personal de la planta que nos dan nuestros platos de manzanal en la mesa, ya que estaba cerca de la hora de cierre. Mi hermana estaba alimentación su bebé y no había terminado el almuerzo, mientras un miembro de personal, más a menos de decirle que prisa como lavavajillas no le gusta hacer platos después del cierre. No es una manera de dirigir un negocio. Am todos para apoyar negocios locales, es que no volveré a! !

No tengo nada malo que decir de este café, hemos estado yendo allí durante años y el personal y el nivel de servicio son increíbles! Otras cafeterías necesitan tomar nota de esto. En Lisburn. El mejor café de lejos :) sigan así y por favor, nunca dejará de hacer coronas triple.

The sandwiches are pretty good, but it's massively overpriced.Also... The staff, if you went in every day for a month would look at you like they'd never seen your face before. You get more personal treatment in McDonalds.Specifically the woman at the till who is so rude and cheeky. Of all the places I've ever ate this place has the worst staff bar nowhere.

I returned to Daltons, a former lunchtime favourite of mine, for the first time in about a year and was shocked at how far downhill the place had gone.Despite being first in the line two people were served ahead of me as they were taking away while I waited for the person who was serving "sit in customer" to prepare. When I did order I may as well have been talking to the wall as I had to repeat my order on three separate occasions as the staff member forgot what I wanted.The sandwich was as usual very tasty, but the portions are a lot smaller than they were in the past and finally the lady at the till clearly missed the service with a smile memo.All in all over £7 for a sandwich and bottle of coke, I no longer think the Daltons experience warrants the price, a real shame after building such a good reputation over the past 10+ years.

Used to love here - but the food has gotten so expensive I can not afford to eat here any longer. need to introduce meal deals or such

A great place for amazing sandwiches but you can get a cooked breakfast, lovely scones and toast and a great welcome. Coffee is excellent.

Comprehensive range of sandwiches with an equally good selection of breads/rolls. Enjoyed their veggie option with brie, smoked cheese, sun-dried tomatoes .... with a good cup of Earl Grey tea. Clean and central location with reasonable prices.

Went here for lunch today with my Mum. It was so good. Friendly and helpful. Setting is relaxed and comfortable, clean and tidy. We ordered lasagne & chips and chicken/ham pie, chips and peas. The chips were freshly cooked and both meals were delicious. I really would highly recommend a visit.

I try to visit Daltons any time i'm in Lisburn. I've been to most cafes about the town, most aren't bad but simply don't compare to here. Nowadays there's a big focus on coffee within cafes and very few specialise in gourmet sandwiches which is why I love this place. A yummy big sandwich and great coffee to go with it. Very relaxing place to eat and very family friendly. Staff can't do enough for you.

I visit this cafe whenever I am in the town and have never been disappointed. I usually have a salad which is delicious. They have a great choice of sandwiches, stew, soup etc. The tray bakes are lovely and too delicious to avoid.

On Christmas Eve my brother & I were in Lisburn, trying to finish the Christmas shopping. Mid morning we decided to try Daltons Café, it's a nice place, was busy so we checked the menu. The prices were on the menu so I paid for 2 frys 7 piece & 2 black coffees. At no time did I see any signs requiring "Place your Order & pay at Till" or like. We sat down at a table, I was facing the Sandwich/ Menu area. The black coffee was only warm, and in the half hour we waited for our order, I had good look at the signage & there was nothing for 1st time customers on the Cafe's ordering etc.I asked a member of staff about the order only to find out it hadn't been placed,,, by me. Two hurried frys later and 2 cups of warm black coffee, frankly, I just wanted finished & out of Daltons. The staff are pleasant & efficient, the sandwiches may be great. BUT, We didn't have the sandwiches!It was an awkward visit, like I should have known how to order food. All I can say is it left a warm saturated oil flavour in my mouth, not necessarily a bad taste!

I call into daltons regularly for my fix of Stuffing, turkey & cranberry sauce on granary bread! I wouldn't go anywhere else for my sandwich fix, they also do skinny fries ive had couple of times they hit the spot :)

Lovely fresh well filled sandwiches and nice fresh bread but I did think it's was pricey. Two sandwiches and two coffees nearly £12. The quality of the food is good though. Nice for a treat.

I've been coming here for years. The huge sandwiches and refillable coffees are great. The staff are friendly but efficient. It's always clean even thought it's busy. The only real fault idiots a bit over priced for the area. It's still worth a visit.

... you haven't been to Lisburn. Famously good cafe fare - paninis, toasties and the like. Has been keeping Lisburn going for years and has had a refit and redesign which is very pleasant. No public toilet sadly, that's about all I can say against it.

Best place by far in Lisburn for sandwiches - a wide variety of choice and not too badly priced when you consider their sandwiches fill you when in comparison a McD's or KFC located nearby, only fill a hole in your tooth for similar price.Worked nearby Daltons for years and to be honest one sandwich filled me and now despite working elsewhere, if I am ever in Lisburn I will make Dalton's number 1 choice for lunch.Well worth a visit and a bonus they now do chips :)

Great fresh food, lovely staff and reasonably priced! Big range of well-filled sandwiches and the salads are always second to none!

The food here is great but the staff are really unfriendly and rude.Today I waited in the queue to order and when I got to the front the staff ignored me and served the people behind me.After they had served 3 people, I asked to order - no apology given even though the server knew I had been waiting.All the staff look so unhappy to be working there, I tried to start conversation and make them laugh- not even a smile.It wasn't even busy when I was in, so I wasn't distracting them from working.It's so unfortunate that the service isn't better as it actually is really good for food.

The very best sandwhich in Lisburn by far!Great choice of fillings although sometimes the bread has already run out, the show of a good sandwhich shop i suppose! they always have another option and can recommend what goes well.A trusted option for lunch on the go

This has always been a very good eatery. Recently I have been diagnosed as ceoliac, and when I asked for gluten free options the server said there was none. I asked why and she couldnt offer me a reason why?? Oh dear. Not impressed :-(

We were regular visitors to the Daltons branch on Bow Street, but when that one closed we decided to try here for breakfast. The choice of food is poor and the staff are unfriendly. My children ordered a sausage and toast but the sausage was so tough and rubbery it was difficult for them to eat. On the plus side my husband and I enjoyed our sandwiches and the decor is nice, though I'm not sure if we will be back. The other branch on Bow Street is sorely missed.

I have been to Dalton's regularly for the past few years and the quality of the sandwiches is always great. The coffee is also now delicious and it is hard to beat it if you are looking for a lunch. The service is friendly and the portions are big. The sandwiches are slightly pricey but I am happy to pay it for the quality!

I regularly Visit daltons when i Visit lisburn.very varied sandwhich menu and freshly prepared Soups.very friendly and heloful staff. Free top ups of filter coffee .Excellent value for money. Will return soon.

The sandwiches are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Always packed well with ingredients and enough to do two people or do one for two meals. Well worth a visit

When I was in daltons for the first time I went along with my family and when we went in the staff were so friendly and very helpful . When we placed our order the sandwiches were made so quick which is always a good thing because not many places are as quick at service! I thought the food was very fairly priced as my sandwich was packed and you also get a top up with you're tea or coffee :)) I would defo recommend to visit daltons

Daltons has and always will be my favourite place for lunch! The sandwiches are amazing, always well filled and you can tell that they use the highest quality ingredients! I am in the shop most days and I can honestly say I have never been unhappy with anything, the staff, atmosphere, cleanliness of the place are all five stars! Keep up the good work! :)

Until recently Lisburn had two branches of Daltons, the one that has closed down was the most pleasurable place to visit. But the staff in the remaining cafe seem to not want to be there or help you. They were standing along in a line, and it took a while for anybody to ask what I wanted. The sandwiches are great, but I am put off by the service, the atmosphere is not great. I have never written a negative view on trip advisor, I always try to write positive, but I'm afraid the next time I fancy a coffee and a sandwich, I will be visiting somewhere where I feel welcome.

We visited this sandwich bar in Lisburn City Centre and I must say. It was good. The sandwiches were well filled and really fresh bread. The chicken / bacon was so tasty. Real fillet of chicken used. The service was first class. Nothing was too much trouble to the staff when asked.The only point I will say was the price. I thought it over priced for a sit in Sandwich bat.Two coffee , a full sub and a sandwich was £13.50But overall I can't fault the rest of it.

Just called for a quick sandwiche and coffee and it was very good. Fresh prepared sarnie made by friendly staff. Decent coffee and nice enough surroundings.

Intended meal turned out extremely unlikely. Changed for the worse unfortunately. When the restaurant was in Bow Street food, service and staff and atmosphere were first class. Couldn,t say anything positive about them now. Didn't stay to eat because everything about it was negative.

I used to come here all the time before I moved away from home. Took my girlfriend on a recent visit back and was pleased to say that not much had changed. High quality products, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Dalton's has and always will be one of Lisburn's shining lights.

Unfortunately Lisburn has had a lot of knocks recently - ongoing roadworks, fountain construction, parking issues etc but one thing you can rely on is friendly service at daltons. I only ever get a coffee but am served with courtesy and a smile every time.

I love sandwiches and Dalton's always appealed to me, the appearance and atmosphere were very tempting as a student.When I bought sandwhiches, it was always freshly prepared in front of me, and done very fast too!The only thing about Dalton's, as a student I always felt like I wasnt getting my moneys worth, and I think there was a charge to sit in? Not cool.Also there was never any offers or anything that would keep me coming back, maybe its changed since. If not I would definitely reccomend some kind of student sandwhich deal changed regularky throughout the week. I would have went a lot more!

Working in hospitality I am very fussy about going out for lunch! But I absolutly love this place! All the ingredients are fresh, always good sized portions and reasonable prices! I look forward to visiting on my days off!

We came yesterday for lunch, sandwiches were absolutely delicious as they always have been and the coffee is good too. Good value for money!

Have gone twice recently with my "grown up" family for breakfast.Service was good and the quality of the, freshly made, food was good.The environment was comfortable, clean and quiet.Prices good. My son loves their coffee.Recommended.

This used to be one of my regular haunts for lunch when I worked in Lisburn, but after returning recently after a couple of years I was hugely disappointed. I was looking forward to having my lunch here again, but my most recent visit last week will definitely be my last. Firstly, the staff were incredibly rude; I didn't know what I wanted after standing in front of the counter for 20 seconds, so requested that the staff member give me a chance to look at the menu first before I ordered. She continued to scream "what do you want?" at me and when I had decided what to order was very condescending and criticised my choice of sandwich. She continued to make snarky comments whilst making my order and when I asked for extra lettuce, ignored me completely. Dalton's used to be known for their very generously-filled sandwiches, but on this occasion I could barely see the ingredients between the bread and when I asked for additional items on my order the staff member rolled her eyes at me. To be perfectly honest if I hadn't been so hungry I would have just walked out and not bothered. She then neglected to ask whether or not my friend or I would like a drink and literally snatched the money out of my hand when I was paying. I was incredibly disappointed in both the service and the sandwich and will not be returning to an establishment where staff feel it is acceptable to treat their customers like 2nd class citizens. As someone who also works in the hospitality industry, I was shocked and appalled and would suggest that the management of Dalton's invest in some customer service training for their staff. I will be warning others to avoid this place like the plague. There are a number of other cafes in Lisburn who actually care about their customers and treat them with respect.

Everything about Daltons is great - services, range, quality and priceI usually go for the big smoke ... highly recommend it.Go along and enjoy an excellent sarnie - don't even think about any of the chain sandwich shops when in Lisburn

My son would choose to go here above anywhere else and he's 9. Friendly staff remember him even if weeks have passed from our last visit

I love this place. It's a comforting little sandwich shop with the same smiling faces serving huge portions of good food. It's great for a lazy morning coffee but come lunchtime the queues goes out the door. To me they must be doing something right.

Lovely wee place to eat, have a cup of tea or a milkshake. The staff are very nice and the food is good. Good if your on a budget.
