I think they have new chefs as the food is not very good

Ordered a takeaway for new year's eve. Slight mix up with the order, phoned up and within 10 minutes had the food delivered to the door. Great service, lovely food. Hope you have a great 2024

This is usually our go to Chinese takeaway in Tonbridge we always order from here but after today we won’t be. It took them 2 hours to send out our food for the woman to tell us she’s prioritised our order when it came, it was stone cold. The chicken balls were soggy so was the chips. Everything was horrid, They offered to send out another order but I politely declined as we had already been waiting 2 hours, we wasn’t prepared to wait another 2, when our young children still hadn’t eaten. She said she’d give us a refund and call us back, however we didn’t expect a full refund, it was a £50 order so hardly cheap. She called back to say her BOSS has refused refunding us and can’t give it to us because we waited under 2 hours, to be precise it took 1 hour 55 mins from when we ordered, after being told it would only take an hour, I asked is there no way we can get something off of it and they told me NO. I’ve been ordering from here for a few years. Not no more. My children have been able to eat the rice and noodles as I’ve heated them in the microwave but everything else has gone into the bin. ITS UNFAIR AND DISGUSTING.

Rang at 630pm on a Sunday (early) told it would be there within an hour. Now 815pm still nothing, told they don’t know how to refund card payments and to wait for someone to drop cash off…. Still waiting. Awful customer service on phone, rude attitude and still no apology.

I worked for these guys years ago so always a pleasure to pop back and see how the family are. Always friendly and willing to accommodate my order (fussy eater)

Last take away was poor , Singapore noodles were very dry , curry sauce was like wallpaper paste

Hands down my favourite chinese restaurant/takeaway. Food is always tasty, at a good price and the portions are huge! Definitely recommended.

I love it here. I have been ordering here for the last 9 years or so on & off. (I don't eat any other take away food & fast food at all and picky with the quality of my food and don't compromise) Despite it looks like a small take away place, the quality of the food is really good, portions are generous indeed. Their Ramen Soup are absolutely wonderful, no other take away places all around this area offer full main meal size of Ramen Soup except tiny little bowl size. Although I have "my usual" to order on regular basis, I heard from my friends that they speak highly of the food here. If its cooked with Love & smile as well, that's even more bonus. Great food quick delivery staff are friendly and polite

One of the best chinese takeaways in the area!Honey ribs are what keeps me coming back for more. If you haven't tried already i would recommend you give them a go.

Fast delivery, good quality every time

Not too expensive and the food was really good. We had special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls and chicken with pineapple. Very good indeed! Xié xié !

Unreal, best chinese in Tonbridge without a doubt

I ordered a chicken chow mein and egg fried rice both were excellent but the egg fried rice was bit dry but never the less it was really food. :)

Daily Rice are always very polite when ordering and helpful. Personally I think their chinese is the best in both Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. They always give us free crackers too 😄

I often stop here for lunch. Service is quick,portions are good value and the food is always hot. Good selection for vegetarians.

Daily Rice has been our go-to Chinese takeaway for years, always tasty and fresh. It's a surprisingly good place for lunch too, with very generous bowls of ramen noodle soup full of fresh veggies and your choice of protein that aren't on the takeaway menu. You'll probably end up sharing a down to earth formica topped table with a stranger or two, but you can pay a lot more for a worse lunch at Wagamama in Sevenoaks if you want...

Always used this takeaway and food was always good. Have, over the last few takeaways, had such salty food that it is almost inedible. Thought we would try it again today in the hope it was just a blip but, again, awful. So much salt in every bit of the food (even pancake rolls). Won’t be ordering again.

First visit was ok..Subsequent visits poor food quality..Take away food arrives cold & has not much flavour..Big chunky lumps of meat which they seriously cannot bother to chop properly in horrible sauces! We won't be bothering with this place again!

The staff who was taking orders at the counter was friendly and attentive in everything while I was asking what kind of ingredients the meals were prepared of... before placing my orders....the tasty meals were fair priced

This is one of the best Chinese I've ever had! It is always hot, delicious food at a good price. Their Chow mein is full of flavour and the sweet and sour chicken balls are so good! Would definitely recommend to anyone, and they have a 4 star scores on the doors hygiene rating too which is always good to know :)

I am partial to a pancake roll and these are really good ones two is al meal in itself and only three pounds!

An hour for food supposedly. 2 hrs later still no food and the lines constantly engaged. Can't review the food as it never arrived.

Previously recommended by a friend, this is the second time I have eaten from Daily Rice. Ordered a takeaway. Friendly service on phone and on delivery. Great chicken balls and sweet and sour sauce, chicken satay, chicken rice, vegetable spring rolls, seaweed... just great food. Good value for money. Would order again. Great takeaway experience.

It’s always until you order from somewhere else you realise how great something is that you get used to.. Daily rice is by far the best Chinese take away in this area. The staff are friendly and food always arrives piping hot and on time. I like the way they use metal containers instead of plastic as it makes the food feel much fresher! I highly recommend the chicken satay skewers are out of this world, the sauce is literally amazing!! In summary all of the food that we have had from here every time has been great. The portion sizes are great value and I have noticed that it is actually cheaper than other places in tonbridge.

We rolled up after a panto at Tonbridge school and decided to eat in. The service was very welcoming and the young man serving was very knowledgable and helped us to try some great new dishes. The food came out on on plates accompanied with cutlery and was delicious. We were happy with the variety quality and presentation of all our dishes. They even gave us a doggy bag as the portion sizes were generous. The canteen style seating added to the friendly atmosphere. Overall a very pleasant experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.

The food here is brilliant. The delivery is quick and prices are really good, the portion size is excellent and meat is lovely.

Having looked at the flipping menus menu.... the prices where totally different to what I got charged.... when I called after to query this I was meet with a quite rude response.... ( we don’t deal with any websites) ok... anyway... after I had to wait an hour and half for my order... was told an hour... I spent over 30 quid and I wish i never bothered...it was cold and every dish was bland and devoid of any flavour and threw most of it in the bin...

I have only recently started using this place but am very glad i have. The food has always been very good for eating in or a home delivery, well worth a try as it is a little different from the norm.

We have been ordering from daily rice for about 4 years now. The food is always good from here and always turns up when it should and hot!

Servicio de entrega era bueno y la comida llegó caliente. Sin embargo, salsa dulce y agria era demasiado finas y dulces, sabía muy artificialmente barato. Huevo frito arroz estaba bien preparado, pero la mayoría simplemente arroz hervido. La calidad de la comida diaria de arroz no es lo que solía ser, y por consiguiente esta opción no conseguir llevar nuestro a medida en el futuro.

I went to the daily rice as usual , but was very disappointing this time, has the chef or owners changed. I specifically bought the king prawn chow mein and kung po chicken,. the noodles weer not the usual ones they use, rather fat and over cooked, not tasty at all. the kung po was filled with a lot of nuts and other parts and not much chicken, cooked in a very difference way and not that spicy.

Un lindo lugar en donde puedes conseguir comida saludable en un ambiente informal, el restaurante de la familia. China lindo nick tentempiés que en la ventana. Sin embargo, su principal ha sido la misma durante años. Necesita un poco de amor y atención que no cuesta mucho. Tienen grandes ventanas, pero necesitan ser más creativos para conseguir transeúntes. Es una pena que no hacen más. Tienen revistas y periódicos gratis, lo cual es una ventaja.

Don't waste your time with this takeaway

Ordered quite a selection for 14 people and it arrived at the time I asked, every dish was excellent plus free coke, fortune biscuits and prawn crackers. All my family being regular Chinese take away users also said it was exellent and will use the...

La entrega fue horrible. El conductor era extremadamente grosero y me cobraron una libra más debido a la distancia que no se mencionó en absoluto cuando pedí la comida. Ella no golpear mi puerta y me pidió que en vez de correr a su coche y recoger mi comida. Además, la comida era de mala calidad y obviamente no era sabroso. Yo no pedir de nuevo.

A good value takeaway. Prawn chow mein and sweet & sour Hong Kong style dishes are consistently tasty. Always get complimentary prawn crackers and fortune cookies. Delivery service is reliable, usually around 30-40 mins.

I have had a few takeaways from here over the years, however decided the other week to eat there with the family. Basic is the only way to describe it, but the food truly makes up for it. Served hot from the wok straight to your table...it almost felt like I was in Singapore again and no pushy staff trying to sell you more drink.Eat in or take away you won't go wrong.

Use this regularly for takeaway. Doesn't look much from the outside but I went on the recommendation of a few Chinese people who eat there. Great value, good portions and always tasty food, delivered quickly!

A great take away and if you want a lunch time meal and, if you are happy with basic seating, that is benches, tables with no tablecloth etc. then it is perfect. Simple but it does not pretend to be anything more.

Located at the far end of the Tonbridge high street. I had many takeaways there in the past, and they all have been very good ,and to a very high standarads. it is recommended if you like Chinese food.

Went last night and ordered some ramen to eat in. While we were waiting for our order one of the delivery drivers came in to pick up an order, along with their small child. The child was running around the place and they were playing a noisy game which involved the child standing on the tables in the restaurant, which is gross. The food came and it was clear it was poor quality. Also ordered green tea which came in a big mug, not the authentic chinese experience I was hoping for. I was eating the noodles and discovered two small bugs floating in the broth. Eurgh. Complained and received my money back. Will not be returning.

Few months ago decided to get a takeaway order was nearly 2 hours from order to delivery, then they took it to the wrong address! So by the time we had it, it was cold. Tried to complain but got told it wasn't there fault. Thought we would give them another go tonight. Went in to order, was told 20mins wait, 50mins later had to ask when it was going to be ready. They weren't that busy at all! Finally got our food an hour later, took it home to find we had 3 of the same dish and missing 2. To top it off food was barely warm and either bland or stupidly salty! Really won't be wasting any more money there. Had a second chance and massively failed again.

Great place for ordering your take-away. We always phone through our order and it's delivered quickly and always hot. Very reasonable prices.

Can't cook shouldn't cook comes to mind. The lady didn't speak much English so was struggling with taking the order. Food was totally dry and even burnt and excessively salty. I was a regular and was saddened to see the deterioration.

A good variety on the menu for a take away and delivery. There are a couple of benches where one can eat if desired. The dine in prices are the same and the portions are decent. I love the curries ..tasty with large chunks of meat and vegetables

Tasty Chinese food with all the usual favourites on the menu. Good, efficient takeaway delivery service. Reasonably priced.

I think the daily rice is a good Chinese takeaway and delievers what is expected. nothing gave the wow factor however decent food with generous portions and quick service.

predictable but dependable menu produced quickly and in a friendly manner- same prices as all these places in provincial towns…..people are nice inside and do have to put up with awkward customers

We love eating at the Daily Rice. The food is always great and the service friendly. The tables and benches are a great option to eat in too.

Daily Rice has improved over the years in terms of flavour and variety. Its mainly a take away venue but there are a few tables in there where you can eat in on a quick lunch break. They deliver to. Must be tried.

I have been coming to Daily Rice for a few months now and can honestly say it's the best Chinese in town, always quick and delicious, knocks the socks off of the other ones in Tonbridge
