Food was below the average , service was too slow and very loud environment

Can never knock this place. Food amazing. Staff helpful explains dishes very well. And atmosphere nice and all laughing. Staff always happy to help.

Shocking service, made to feel unwelcome from the minute we arrived. Didn’t change our cutlery between courses, a lot of huffing and puffing from one member of staff, everything was too much of an ask. Food was cold and lacking flavour. Genuinely wish we booked Desh across the road

Have eaten here and had takeaway many times and the food and service has always been fantastic! They are also very consistent every time! Would highly recommend!

Ate here tonight with guys I worked with for 20 years. It's a tradition as we only see each other once a year nowadays. We always enjoy our meal here. First class meal, fantastic food, drink & service. Thanks to all staff. Excellent.

We had a company meal there last night and the food was delicious and the service excellent!

5 of us had a meal at the Bombay Cuisine yesterday. I cannot comment on the quality of the starters, as we only had a main course and side dishes, but all of commented on how good the food was. Enjoyable experience and will definitely return again soon.

Had a lovely meal at the Bombay with great service. We started with poppadoms and the usual accompaniments and then I tried the chicken tava which is served in a sizzling dish and was not disappointed. My dining companions had lamb jalfrezi, chicken naga and chicken bhuna together with the usual rice, naans etc. All agreed the food was excellent. The meal was also good value for money.

First time in West Malling. Ok, where do I start? Oh yes, the starter, onion baji and mixed grill. Baji's were just gram flour with a tiny bit of onion, mixed grill dry tasteless and cold. TBH I think they gave us some left overs from the kitchen. SHOCKING, embarrassing......the funny thing was that the manager was not one bit interested, Three men stood at the end of the table which was intimidating. I paid for the drinks, luckily they didn't mess those up and left immediately. They should be shut down for even thinking the food on those plates were fit to be consumed by humans....Shame on you. From an Indian customer, who has been to some of the counties best Indian restaurants. WOW!

Food very good, a little quiet on a Sunday night but not always a bad thing.

This place always delivers on flavour and service. Recommend the Naga Chicken if you want some real heat!

First time we have eaten here although my Partner has had takeaways from the lovely restaurant. We were greeted warmly without having a reservation. Seated.in the back of the restaurant away from the busy section This was very nice and we were able to enjoy a quieter section We had some.popadoms while we.decided what to choose Islam helped us to decide with top remmendations We had a chicken and.a.lamb dish and some veg dishes. It was very obvious that all the food was freshly home made , even the lime pickle which was outstanding! Many thanks to the chefs the whole team and to Islam especially. He made us very welcome x look forward to another visit

Hadn’t had a Takeaway from here in a while and was not disappointed it was excellent! Best Chicken Tikka Masala I had tasted in a long time. Whilst like everywhere prices have increased you get a good portion size. Very very good indeed.

Reservation on Bombay cuisine was the worst experience for a lunch on Sunday .The person on the other end was very rude and was in a hurry and did not want us to visit at all, finally just hung the call.Not sure how they treat you once you are inside .

Lovely place with good food and excellent service

Thought it was about time I posted, I have eaten there atleast 3-4 times a week for the past 3 years. For a bloke who doesn’t cook they have never failed me. I have tried the whole menu multiple times, built my spice level up and opened me up to try things. They are always accommodating as their culture would be.

Deserved to be busier, but at least it meant we received rapid service. Pretty faultless Indian cuisine. The menu is the right size with a nice mixture of favourite dishes and chef specialities. We all ordered our own preferences and then shared. Perfect!

Easily the best curry house in Kent, we’ve been using the Bombay for 14 years, since Covid they have very sensibly introduced a take away service, which has meant we have used them even more, the standard of food is sublime and very consistant. We will continue to use this jewel of a curry house and I suggest that you do the same, Love it!!!

Lovely food, well priced, good service.

Loved the food, some of the best I have had, service is good and you're not rushed to free the table up. Good value for money. Only downside was the noise, with lots of people in the restaurant talking and laughing it was at times unpleasant.

Great food served quickly. The staff didn't speak great English but they spoke enough. The tables were set beautifully and the food was really nice. Would definitely recommend

A fantastic meal as always, they never disappoint.

Total disaster! When eventually served they took the order but forgot both of our drinks. I reminded them and was rudely told that they were on the way - 10 minutes later, no drinks! Ordered a lamb curry which had to go back as the lamb was inedible. Tough as old boots. This was replaced with a chicken curry which was so bland.

Highley recommended good service Excellent food for a rowdy party of 24 not one wrong order and food piping hot when served.Definitely worth a visit you won't be disappointed..🙂

Used to really like this resteraunt,food is great prices good but wine suddenly gone from 15 pounds to 20 pounds,so now we have one bottle instead of 2. So they are losing out,isn't 300% mark up enough

Best Indian restaurant that I’ve ever eaten in by a country mile. Friendly helpful staff serving excellent food. I travel the country running pubs and always look forward to my visits to west malling and the opportunity to dine out here.

First time visit - will definitely return! We booked a table last Saturday after moving to the area last year. Friendly, attentive service, and food was both excellent and generously portioned. Popadums were crispy and not at all oily, Our main curry dishes and side dishes were superb, and a good choice of drinks too. If we'd known how large the portions were, we probably would have had less side dishes. Only 2 slight negatives were mediocre dips with the popadums and prices are a bit steep - but the same everywhere in West Malling!

Attentive service although had to ask for coffee after a long wait. Good food at reasonable price.

Best Indian in the area, food is prepared exactly to our taste and portion sizes are very generous. Delivery was on time and food arrived hot. Look forward to getting our next takeaway from here again and can’t wait to visit the restaurant once the lockdown has been lifted!

Great curry decent price and friendly staff

I always come here with my friends, I love the food and the atmosphere.... well not anymore after what we witnessed!!! The waiter was scrapping all the chutneys from the serving bowls back in to separate containers, this was shocking to watch!, why would a restaurant be reusing/serving this to its customers its truly shocking, especially with covid19 around. When we questioned the waiter he soon stopped and left what he was doing. I will never be coming back to this restaurant.

Moved to the area recently and wanted to take my friends to show my local Indian restaurant. Food was rushed the whole way through the meal. Chicken madras was poor, tasteless and grisly chicken 🤢. My friends were very polite about the meal until the end. No social distancing, packed tables, clearly trying to get in as many people before 10pm. The waiter walked up to our table must have been 15 times (no exaggeration) to see if we had finished. People came in, clearly they were booked for our table. Owner told them we were holding them up, now getting looks from the people, owner and the waiter pacing around. Paid the bill under pressure and then the waiter came and took the spare chair away from the table. Terrible food and service, will not go back or recommend at all!!

Food was superb. Best starter ever. Really enjoyed ever dish and the Thursday deal prices are fantastic. We shall be back

Had a dreadful experience at this restaurant, felt like we were sitting in a cold hallway and when I asked for 5 minutes to look at the menu I was told to hurry up !!! The young waiter was very nice who served our drinks but the older man who took our food order was rude !

Some rude staff but main complaint is they gave me a used glass of lemonade (2/3 full) instead of gin and tonic, I then drank it and realised there was lipstick on the glass - not ideal in the middle of a pandemic.

What a disappointment - soggy popadoms, tasteless chicken curry and really poor hygiene being displayed by waiting staff. Explained to staff that the food was not good and told they were short staffed!! Won’t be returning

The atmosphere was spectacular, the food was brilliant, and the staff were very friendly. Probably 'THE' place to go when you want a reasonably-priced, authentic curry experience in cardiff. 5 stars almost feels an understatement. There is no chance I won't be returning

Great service, clearly a family run restaurant, which seems to work perfectly. Food was not fast but the manager and the owner (who’s post was on the bar but still came to ask how our food was) were attentive. The manager kept myself and my partner up to date even though the restaurant was busy in house and for takeaways. When the poppadoms came to the table cold, rubbery & stale, we didn’t have very high expectations for the food to follow... and we were as disappointed as we expected to be!!The onion bhajis were tasteless... rather like flavourless cardboard!The chicken zafrani was also tasteless - as well as being undercooked.... and not sure where the nuts were in the sauce, as per the menu description!The lamb shashlik was relatively tasty... but only because the lamb was overcooked and so had a charred flavour... it also sat on a serving trolley while other tables were served, so had lost the ‘sizzle’ by the time it arrived with us!To complete the review, the service was sloppy... the staff were fairly attentive... but mostly with a ‘couldn’t care a less’ attitude and the manner in which one of the food servers behaved, was less than hygienic!Needless to say, we won’t be returning!

We called in here as the restaurant we’d intended to dine at (Amano) was closed. It was quiet. Service was speedy & perfectly friendly. But food was woeful. Some dishes mush, others dry. The pickle tray was uninventive & lazily put together. The coconut rice had the consistency of powder. Nothing tasted fresh. White wine was barely chilled. Probably the worst Indian meal we’ve ever had.

Fantastic food and really authentic. They were happy to make my dishes up to the spice level I wanted as well. Some of the beat naan bread I have ever had!

Dined with my wife and the restaurant was not very busy which is seldom a good sign. Standard Curry House Fayre I'm afraid with little innovation. It was OK but no more that that. Also provides a Takeawat Service.

Our English friend brought us to his "local", his Indian restaurant of choice in a tiny town in pastoral Kent, UK. We were amazed at the extent of the menu and the care with which each dish was prepared. Lots of choice for vegetarians and carnivores alike. The roasted paneer dusted with spices was a special treat. The Cobra beer from India went perfectly with the flavourful dishes. I mistook a green chilli for a green been and had a few agonizing minutes of throat-on-fire, but the meal was otherwise perfectly spiced and I should have been more careful. Perfectly made puffy garlic naan, something that is usually difficult to find. The waiters were friendly with just the right amount of humour. Worth travelling from Canada just to eat at this great place. Loved the atmosphere: engaging bustle but not overly noisy, clean, no garish lighting, table cloths, subdued decor.

Consistently excellent food and great service too - I've been visiting here for nearly a decade and have never had a bad meal

Great food but a little squashed table wise

Disappointing to see the menu includes D= Dairy on so many dishes unnecessarily ! Most in fact nearly all Indian / Bangladesh restaurants are fairly easy to order from for vegan / plant based diets these dats - but adding dairy to what should be veg based dishes is not necessary and limiting.

15 of us visited to say goodbye to a work colleague (Bye Paul). Being Thursday it was gourmet night, so many dishes for £16.95. Everyone had a fantastic time and we were really well looked after. The food was great and our glasses never ran dry. We will definitely return when we lose another colleague.

Food was good, service was awful.. Grabbing at our dishes before we had finished and glasses of wine handled before being finished, and then charged us for more drinks than we actually had. Still left a tip, found the front man quite rude, which was a real shame as food was good.. Won't be returning. 😐

Took the work team out for dinner last night, table of 8.. Every curry had 3 bits of chicken in it and did not taste right. Worst Indian I've had in a long time!

Whilst staying nearby we ordered a curry takeaway from the Bombay Cuisine. There was a small muddle with one of the dishes in our order, but the customer service was brilliant and the restaurant went above and beyond to fix it. The food itself was delicious, the king prawn rushni was a particularly good dish. Well done and thank you to the team!

Yet another pleasant evening meal. Took advantage of the special deals. Portion size just right. Wine and beer great. Highly recommended.

Very good meal, service a little slow but they were very busy

Went for a meal on Friday night. Very busy restaurant. Did not have a starter as mains was more than enough. I had Jaal Khatta tikka and my husband had Chicken Shatkora. We had garlic naan and pilau rice and a side dish of Dall Tarka to accompany our curries.Portion sizes where good, service was good. Food was tasty and the Chicken shatkora was the favourite our of the 2 curries we had.Would go back for another visit when in the area. You definitely need to book at the weekends as very busy place. They do take away for collection.

My friend and I visited here for her birthday meal, i would rather not have had a table in the corridor part of the restaurant but it was full so no choice but if booking again i would request a table in main part of restaurant otherwise you have the waiters constantly going past you with food but it was ok. The menu choice was huge even for a vegan and the food was delicious and the waiters were very friendly and chatty. We would definatley return here, think advisable to book towards the weekend as seemed very busy.

Nice place no more than you would expect, service ok nothing special, food ok a bit lacking in flavour, chicken a little dry if I had to say somthing...food price ok standard prices, all very average, you could do allot worse.

The food here is always good and it has been our favourite restaurant for years now. Service was friendly and we had a good evening.

Absolutely top notch take-away. Had the prawn puri to start, followed by the Jaal Khatta Tikka with mushroom rice. Everything from the pickles to the rice was superb and the meat tenderised to perfection. I think it’s the best take-away Indian I’ve ever eaten and not shy on the chillies if you like heat. Totally delicious - thanks for an amazing meal this evening!

You won't have a bad meal at the Bombay Cuisine, the best thing was we were not rushed at the end of our meal and was able to stay at the table chatting.

Service was good, Restaurant layout good, much improved since we last had a meal there but unfortunately the food was pretty mediocre.
