Use this place all the time nothing bad to say loverly curries but last nights curry did not taste like the previous ones now I’ve got bad guts

Best indian I’ve had in leeds. Amazing food and service and you can ask for spice level to your preference which is a bonus. Definitely a place everyone needs to try!! :)

The worst food I have ever tasted in my life.. the lamb was more like car tire. Too rubbery and pretty sure it’s very old meat reheated again and again.. don’t waste your money on this shop.

I"ve ordered here many times now. Starters and breads are quite good. The highlights though - the main courses - what a stunning selection of top quality dishes: all different, all fantastic tasting. Vegetarian options of paneer or mix veg are brilliant too. I cannot recommend this place enough. Ring them up or use their website and help them avoid the justeat costs.

Curry not bad but mushroom Bahji was not good it came in sliced fresh mushrooms not battered not nice Chapatti was very thin plus waited over a hour

The set meal options are great value and the portion sizes are generous. I had the seekh kebab and chicken tikka madras, chicken breast with no chewy bits and you can tell the ingredients used are fresh as it didn't come back to haunt me the next day.

Good food/value for money. Ordered by phone, must have been a misunderstanding as grandson's portion of chips were missing! Medium means medium, slightly hotter than other places we have been to! Staff very friendly and polite.

I have been looking for a proper good Indian takeaway in Leeds for ages and I've finally found it. Absolutely delicious. Would not go anywhere else for Indian. The meal for 1 deal is fantastic, you get loads of food, delivery is quick and easy as well. Cannot recommend this place enough. I usually go for the chicken chaat, sag paneer and chicken korma (the korma sauce is absolute HEAVEN).

Sent korma instead of tikka massala. Tried to ring and explain. Firstly the guy said food will be with you soon. Again I said no, the food has arrived but I think it's wrong. He said food packed and with drive will be with you soon. I asked to speak with manager he said no one else here so call back tomorrow and hung up.

We've ordered from this place before without any issue. However, this time we had a missing curry. The worst part was that after I called to find out what was going on, the person I was talking to on the phone refused to believe me. Having already been charged for the curry, then having not received it, then being called a liar, is awful service. Eventually I managed to persuade him to send a replacement, being told it would take 45 minutes, though no chance of any refund of course. Won't be using Daawat again.

We ordered a curry from Duwaats in Meanwood last night. We have had curry’s before from here but this one was exceptional! I have to say the best Lamb Saag, Aloo Ghobi, and Mushroom Pilau rice I’ve have ever eaten anywhere. We collected from the takeaway and it was lovely and hot and came with poppadoms and chutneys as an extra bonus! I can recommend this little gem of a takeaway . The value for money was amazing and actually ordered for two people and the portions were so generous there was more than enough for 3 people.

After a 3 hr wait we didn’t get our food, we were lied to several times, treated rudely by the manager and then he tried to get out of refunding us a large order of over £80. The kids went to bed hungry that night. Disgusting

Absolutely terrible experience. We ordered £80 worth of food and were told it would take 60 minutes. 3 hours later and it still wasn’t here. We tried calling during this time and couldn’t get through. Finally, after 3 hours we got through on the phone and they lied and said it’s on its way- then admitted it wasn’t ready. Didn’t apologise at all and refused to refund the money. Suggesting they only had £10 cash which we could go and pick up. We had to order elsewhere and we are still waiting for the refund.

We live locally and really love the food and prices - but we cannot buy from here anymore due to the absolute chaos of the place. About 2/3 times the order takes 2+ hours to arrive, sometimes orders are cancelled without any indication this has happened. This time after two hours of waiting I walked down to the shop - had to wait another 20 minutes. in the meantime, several people came in with their orders having just been cancelled without them knowing?! The guys in the shop were just quite arsey about it to be honest. We just can’t rely on them anymore. I really like the place and hope they see reviews on this theme and sort their system out!

Beware! Expect good food - and it mainly is- BUT- you’ll run the risk of extremely poor customer service. Delivery arrived tonight with one main course missing. Telephoned the takeaway who accused the delivery driver of “stealing” the missing item. Not the first time we’ve experienced combative customer service. Unbelievable. As I say order at your own risk. Never again Dawaat. Forget it , you need to change.

First time I’ve ordered from here and it won’t be my last! Absolutely fantastic, can honestly say that was the best Indian food I’ve had in years and that’s including restaurants! Everything was perfect, thank you!

Lovely food but don't ask for delivery. It says aim for 60 minutes. Ours was over 2 hours. No communication from them. Rude when we rang to see where it was and just said were busy aren't we. No apologies. Shame as the food really is good.

Ordered food and they said it would arrive in 60 minutes. It’s been an hour and a half, and nothing has been delivered. I called, and they said there was no order. But the payment was taken.

DO NOT USE THESE JOKERS. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. The order took 1 hour 15 minutes to arrive. All the foods was completely cold. The tandoori mixed grill stated a chicken quarter. It was a chicken leg. The garlic naan? I've had leather jackets that have ripped up easier. Disgusting excuse for an Indian.

Daawat is my FAVOURITE Indian takeaway in Leeds; reasonably priced, excellent value, good portions & the food is always hot & yummy. I've tried so many Indian takeouts & this is top notch. (My mum even travels from the Yorkshire Dales for her curry fix). Photograph description: Lamb dopiaza, saag paneer, vegetable rice, onion bhaji, poppadoms & chilli, coriander & garlic naan. This is from the 7 course meal deal but I decided to add the naan for a treat & I've got enough for another meal tonight; total cost was under £17.

Terrible service. They say it will be an hour but it always ends up being two. When we called them and asked where our order was they said it was out with a driver. We called again 35 mins later and they said they were waiting for a driver so the first person had lied to us. They seem to think it’s okay to treat customers like this, worst service I have come across.

Worst service I have ever experienced. They lie to you on the phone and deliver the food hours after… they don’t give you a solution or even an apology… Very unprofessional

The food here is good but delivery is so slow. I ordered online, it said it would be an hour. I rang after 1hr10 they said it would be 20 minutes, it was another 40 minutes! I only live up the road but couldn’t collect as I was with my kids. Poor communication and didn’t apologise, just said ‘well it is Friday!’

Food and price is great but this is tempered by the surliness of the owner who is a proper miserable sod and how long it takes for the food to arrive. If he cheers up and they stick to timings more efficiently it would be 5 stars.
