Cyder & Cobb Micro Bar in Sandwell

This is a lovely place to visit nice and friendly little bar with some fantastic beers and ciders. It's nice to chill out and have a nice drink and a chat with the locals .

A lovely small individual micro bar on the heart of Blackheath. Good range of ales. Real ciders and a few keg beers. Some lovely traditional pub cobs .

First time in the micro bar. Friendly staff and great drink.

A big sign on the bar saying no swearing. A guy in there totally ignoring this and he was a friend of the lady serving the drinks. I wonder if anyone else would get away with this. The bar is nice, great beers but the sign was there for a reason. I would still say check the place out.

We discovered this place on the last night of our weekend in Birmingham - had we seen it before we would definitely have spent more time there! Gorgeous little place, great staff, and if I'd had more time I'd have tried all the different ciders! Was here with my sister and Mam, just popped in for one for the road but wished we had gone in earlier.

Well just loved it very nice barmaid friendly decor rustic atmosphere very friendly. Well worth a visit will def call again

Awesome place. I am nearly sorry I have to tell the world about it, as it feels like one of those pubs that I would like to keep all to myself. Very welcoming little venue, with great atmosphere and high quality standards, both in produce and in presentation. I wish them good fortune with potentially expanding to further locations and sharing the love and vibe with more publicans. We need more Cyder and Cobb.

I have only been a couple of times over the past year or so, but each time I was made welcome. Last time I came in as a member of a small group of 3, the server said they had just called for last orders but was welcome to come in. I've been to many pubs that said sorry last orders no new Customers. I am looking forward to my next visit for st Patrick's.

Very very busy when we arrived, which for hospitality is good as this present time. Very small establishment, not sure if they should be cramming that many people in, as at times it was elbow to elbow. Not true to the Micropub ethos, more of a 'small pub' due to all the 'usual' drinks being sold (spirits, alcopops, mainstream lager). Few cobs on sale when we arrived, soon disappeared! Prices not bad for Birmingham area, beer well kept. Certainly pop in if you are in the area

Great place and beer was excellent… loses marks however for allowing customers to vape in there which to be honest put me off having a cob Hi there Thank you for the prompt reply , I visited last Saturday (19.11.22) at around midday… I genuinely don’t like leaving anything negative because I know how tough times are for businesses, please note that this will not put me off visiting again and should not put anyone else off

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. On top of that the clientèle were very friendly and made me fwel very welcome. Great music too.

Fantastic, friendly and helpful staff. A wonderful beer and cyder selection, and tasty cobbs!!!! They have monthly comedy nights that will have you laughing all night.

This beautiful micro bar has me hooked from day 1. Great atmosphere. Great beers and snacks. Often attend the quiz and comedy nights Mat the owner has creating something special x

First time here today. Small but all the essentials are there. Looks as though there's pride taken in the beer selection. The beer, cob and crisp deal is hard to beat. Seating is very high off the ground and thaty makes it uncomfortable and lm 6'2"! This has been commented before. Only criticism would be that beer kegs block the entrance to the toilet. Not great if youre not good on your feet or in a wheel chair.

Nice little micro bar with plenty of atmosphere and wide range of drink to try from, the bar tender offered a sample on a couple drinks i wasn't sure of before buying look forward to coming again.

They do nice large cheese cobs and have lovely drinks. I had a nice ginger ale but l know they sell actual ales!! Nice quaint pub close to Sainsbury's Blackheath.

Amazing little bar where you are made to feel welcome by the staff and the regulars alike. Cosy relaxed atmosphere with very well priced snacks and drinks. Plenty of free parking nearby is always a bonus.

Really small inside, but really nice! Be sure to ask for drinks that aren’t on the bar, at the time of our visit, Cyder & Cobb offered mango cider and cherries & berries. You can also purchase a carton to go (a couple of pints in a plastic bottle)

It's worth saying that The Cyder and Cob doesn't just sell Cider. It has a constantly changing selection of craft and local ales. And of course some lovely cobs. A great addition to Blackheath. It makes the trip to Sainsbury's a lot more pleasant.

Lovely little bar with a great range of ciders. Staff are always friendly. It is very cosy and you will end up having people you don't know come and sit at your table due to the size of the bar. Cobs are yummy. Will visit again

WARNING! High risk of meeting great people and making new friends. This cosy little bar is simply fantastic. There are good beers, ciders and ales and great selection of G&T's. Bar snacks, cobs, crisps, chocolates etc are on offer too. Highly recommended.

Great selection of ciders and ales, good cobs and the staff are great and have good knowledge of all their vast selection. For a small bar it's got a great atmosphere and the punters in there were a more mature crowd than you'd find at you big name breweries

Excellent micro pub with a focus on real ale and real cider. They have 4 real ale taps, 4 abk keg beers and rattler on the bar with a huge variety of boxed real cider. I like that they have 4 guest ales and don’t have any permanent ales on so you never know what’ll be on until you get there, unless you check on social media. £5 for a pint of real ale, crisps and a cobb all day everyday. Pricing wise is very good value for spirits and ciders as well. Only criticism would be that the seats are very uncomfortable, fine for an hour or 2 but anymore would be a struggle. Great addition to Blackheath.

Loved it. I visited yesterday whith my cousin on his recommendation. Great ale and bostin cobs. Clean and tidy and a nice bloke behind the bar, very affable and knowledgeable about the beers. I wished this place had been here 20 years ago when I lived here. I ve noticed so much has changed in the town, pub wise. When I think of this place compared to the grotty old California that used to be across the road that was a predominantly a dossiers pub, it's light years away. Many congratulations to the owner .

Really like this place. Atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, always busy and has an excellent selection of real ales and fruit ciders. Plenty of cobs, crisps and snacks to enjoy. The bar staff are also very efficient and attentive - everything you want in your local pub !
