Cutler in East Renfrewshire

I went for Mother’s Day on Sunday. The restaurant was cold. Menu was already limited as well as some of the options being unavailable. Waitresses were very polite and apologetic. The pate only had one small slice of bread and was not enough for the whole meal. The other food was inedible particularly the roast dinner. It was very tough and we had to leave it as we could not even chew the food. Manager was dismissive and argumentative at first saying they haven’t had a complaint about the particular item. We’re not usually one to complain but in this case something had to be said. They took £20 off the bill but we will not be returning and would not recommend to anybody.

Kids meals were brilliant - they were devoured! The adults had the very reasonable 2 courses for £25 (£5 supplement for the steak). We had the haggis bon bons which were lovely (although it needs more sauce/dressing on the plate). The steak was cooked beautifully. Our kids had sticky toffee pudding and absolutely loved it. It was our waiters first shift and he was so professional and lovely. Really nice decor too.

A family dinner that we all enjoyed immensely. Steaks were great and all sides superb. Cocktails went down nicely with the young team …. Some great service and chat from Andy our waiter.

First visit to Cutlers, and was extremely disappointed to discover on arrival that despite web site advertising and a large billboard outside the premises, that the advertised two course £15 and three course £20 menu was 'seasonal' and would not be available. Eventual order of fish & chips was not even on the offered à la carte menu, however it was very enjoyable, so no problem with the quality or with the service. Would suggest to anyone we speak to about our visit, that they call first to confirm what menus are available. Visited at 5pm on Sunday 7th January.. we were the only two customers in the restaurant. Felt as if we'd been falsely informed just to get customers in.

Went for a birthday dinner with the family. There were five other patrons in the restaurant and it took them one hour and a half to serve a three course meal from their own specials. The waiter came to the table three times to check the order (there were three tables occupied, including ours at the time) and still “forgot” my drink. Twenty minutes from ordering the bill to checking out. Poor, disinterested, unatenttive staff. The chips were ok, I suppose.

Had a lovely meal at this restaurant with my family .. been a good few times pleasant staff my family really enjoyed themselves also will be back again very soon thank you

Saw a wee itison deal for this restaurant that we hadn’t heard of before, so thought we give it a go. Went for the chateaubriand deal. We enjoy this cut of steak and have it quite often but I’ve got to say this has to be the best steak we’ve had. The flavours in particular were incredible. The side of mac&cheese with black pudding was lovely. The staff were really attentive and was a lovely restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.

Party of 5. All agreed a fantastic meal and service. Great food excellently prepared and cooked. Superb Beetroot three ways. Tastiest Chicken Supreme I've ever had. Superbly cooked fish. Friendly attentive service. Great value. Well worth a visit and we'll be back.

A fantastic experience. Food was exceptional, and Beth the waitress could not have been more helpful and friendly. Lovely surrounds and atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

I was at cutler tonight for a birthday meal with my friend we both received a friendly and warm welcome by a lovely lady who attentively cared for us the entire time of our visit we both had the fish and chips which can only be explained as sensational our food was brought in a timely manner and by carol who was very knowledgeable and helpful with all our needs she truly made my birthday meal special and I will definitely return thanks to her 1st class service and great food

Popped in for a set lunch menu, food was nice but portions are really small I mean fish n chips half a slice coated in batter and the mackerel starter also half a slice and small thin. I've given 4 stars as service was good and food tasty just not enough even for lunch portions.

This is probably one of the best restaurants on the south side of Glasgow but not sure it’s getting the recognition. The food is excellent and the market menu is exceptional value. Service is attentive and friendly. The wine list caters for budget and taste. Only one question not sure why the beer on tap is so expensive.

My partner and I had dinner here on a Thursday night. We had the 3 courss for £20 deal. This was very good value. The food was delicious, particularly the catch of the day main course and the chocolate fondant dessert. The wine and cocktails were also good. The service was very efficient and professional and the staff were friendly. The music was good and just at the right volume to be heard but also to allow conversation. We sat in the conservatory area so had a lovely view of the local area. I have recommended the restaurant to family and friends.

Just had a lovely evening catching up with friends in this beautiful restaurant in the south side of Glasgow. Delicious food beautifully presented. Very attentive friendly service. Booked a return visit before leaving!
