We sat in, food was good as usual, and our server was outstanding as always.

Fish should not taste too fishy, the last 3 times I have ordered a fish supper its tasted very fishy. Don't think its haddock. Standards have gone down. Place use to be my go too but going to have to find another place. Not cheap too.

I really like alpinos. It's pretty old skool but the staff are really friendly and the food is great. I'm often there last thing on a Thursday and the staff are still very obliging and willing to cook anything from scratch, despite closing up soon after

Pleasantly served for a sit in lunch. Good value too. A nice touch was a discount for actually sitting in to eat. Have to say the fish and chips I had were only average - but then, most places ARE like that.

Wish I’d seen the reviews before parting with my cash ..... the lot went in the bin ! Absolutely no excuse for getting fish n chips so badly wrong...!!!!! The owners of the Barrhead fish n chip shops really need to take themselves to Enzo’s (formally Mario’s ) Paisley Road & they might learn what proper fish n chips should look & taste like !!!!

Chips were last nights onion rings had no onion in them salad looked brown last weeks a think place has went down hill since the hamilton accies moved in never again lost a customer cos yous cant produce fresh chips thats your business fs keep ma 30 quid last ul get off me !

Not sure if under new ownership, but sitting in today for 2 fish teas, was a poor experiance. Chips not great and fish was very thin and dry, and the whole sit in area was freezing. Not one member of staff had a mask on..Waste of £16 will not be back

Thought I'd found a place that actually cooks the food you buy. Seems not. So sick of getting home to find I can pick off the individual strands of grated cheese off my pizza. If I wanted to cook my own I'd get it from a supermarket.

On the occasional hot day in Scotland, you get a really generous helping of ice cream for a very reasonable price!

The last time I was in there the pie was brick hard and dried up tasted very strong so Couldn’t eat it that was months ago it put me right off, so decided tonight I would get a black pudding super, the chips were ok a bit cold the black pudding I honestly struggled to pull a bit off it ,the batter was quite dark and so tough, I ended up eating the bits inside as I was starving took pictures but no place to post on review, so I won’t be back again

I order the same ever time which would get5/5stars... but not tonight homemade steak pie the stew was so chewy, it was looks like it was just boiling then added to gravy, the pizza i ordered too was burnt right round I know pizza crusts sometime nice and golden but it was burnt...

Great restaurant, the chef came out and stamped on my toes but the guacamole was crazy good so its all chill.

If there was an opportunity to give zero stars I would food that was delivered was so greasy it was not edible the pizza wasn't cooked (guessing it was dipped in the fat as it was so greasy) and everything was cold number deleted from phones not edible. Not acceptable

Nice and warm on a cold day. Very clean. Only moan was that my sausages were luke warm but my chips were amazing; freshly cooked, tastey and Hot Hot Hot

I only review the quality of the mirrors in bars, clubs, restaurants and casinos etc. The quality of the mirror in the guys toilet was very good as was the lighting....

Went here for meal ordered oven cooked pizzas had a bit of wait but when they where dished up just melted in my mouth delicious well worth waiting for would recommend it to anyone visiting the are.

I was sold a chicken burger and chips today and the roll was moldy not even a little it was massively covered I myself am allergic to penicillin and all I got was a sorry and still charge for one of the meals it was dam right disgusting and will be reported as this is not on the owner just sat sleeping in the chairs near us and not even a sorry from him just the lady behind the desk could only say sorry sorry is not good enough when nearly being poisoned by food with penicillin in it as that is what mould is

It was ok its just the pizza i had wasnt that good it was burnt at the bottom and the last time i had it, it was perfect.

Love alpino chippy i have went to this chippy fae a was young it is very reasonable price aswell plus the food no matter wot you order its beautiful its also good for the kids to and the dining in area as well.

Chips cold last time I ordered a takeaway

No sé si los estándares se han reducido, pero siempre he visitado esta tienda de chips ya que vengo de Barrhead y vivo en Paisley ahora. No volveré. Mi hermano recogió dos cenas de pescado ayer para nuestro té y fue ridículo. Pequeñas heces crujientes para las patatas fritas y el pescado se había secado batido con apenas pescado. Parecía como si hubiera estado mintiendo durante horas y ciertamente no era lo que estamos acostumbrados de Alpino. Estábamos muy decepcionados, pero como estábamos en Paisley y salíamos, no era factible regresar y quejarnos, pero ciertamente nos iremos a otro lado en el futuro. Si este es el estándar de una cena de pescado, entonces no regresaremos. Una cena de pescado es una delicia hoy en día y no es barata, por lo que debe obtener lo que paga y ¡esto fue una gran decepción!

Every time am in Scotland I always make a point of going, for a batter black pudding super, they never disappoint! Best chippy hands down!

Alpino's es una tienda / restaurante de chip de buena calidad en Barrhead. La comida se cocina de forma rápida pero adecuada y tiene un precio razonable. Gran pescado especial.

Bit of a mixed bag depending what you've ordered. In cafe.....special fish good....chips def need a holiday. Never seen chips so white in my life. Even a fake tan couln't save them!!

Having left Barrhead 40 years ago, I was really pleased to see, on a recent visit, that Alpino's was still there. It was one of my favourite chip shops and I am glad to say that the standard has not dropped. I had fish and chips with a mug of coffee. The batter on the fish (2 fillets) was really crisp and the chips were not at all soggy. A decent portion with all the necessary condiments on the table. The coffee was good but not great but, my only complaint, there was no sweetener, only sugar. The waitress who served me was very pleasant and my bill came to less than £10. Although I am not in Barhead often, I would certainly eat at Alpino's again.

Went to alpino tonight on the way home from work for something quick to eat. Food was warm and tasted good. Good value for money and staff were friendly and chatty.

We made a complaint about the way we wer treated I store . Subsequently he supposed manager starting shouting and swearing at me words wer exchanged then she chased me out the shop and Try'd to attack me. No joke! On a lighter note there mac n cheese tastes like watery milk. Avoid at all costs. I'm thinking about pressing charges!

I used to visit this restaurant for take away and to sit in. Bought food (take away) recently, was charged 5p more than the total price showing on display. Three members of staff argued for about 10 minutes saying the till price was the one they charged and kept saying they weren't going to argue with me over 5p while continuing to do exactly that. They also muttered and made their opinion clear. They eventually said they hadn't got round to updating the displayed price and insisted the boss said they must charge the price on the till, this is not legal I'm sure and I for one will not give my custom here again. Make sure you check the menu prices and take away displayed prices.

My family visited Alpino after being recommended to us by friends. We certainly weren't disappointed! We all ordered fish teas, they were cooked to order and it was honestly the best fish and chips I have ever tasted. It was very busy with most people having fish and chips. Can't wait to return!!!
