Yum! We have been ordering here for years and have always been very satisfied with the food! So nice to have a "proper", authentic tasting curry. Came to this place to have a buffet after many years, we were always regulars up until covid, and then they shut for a few years. They started the Sunday buffet up again recently and we came for a meal. The food was good and the variety was acceptable, I was made to feel very uncomfortable at this place as the manager kept hovering over our table while we were eating and also when we went up to refill our plates. he kept looking over which made us feel very uncomfortable, and also when we were leaving the establishment we were not greeted at all on our way out, however all the other white customers were treated like family. I find this very upsetting as we are all paying customers regardless of our race, and being asian I expected better treatment from someone of our own Asian community.

Just had a beautiful chicken curry madras & my wife had chicken korma and we had chicken tikka & prawn puree it was fantastic thankyou for your amazing food and kindness

NEVER ORDER FROM HERE!!! RUDE RUDE RUDE. Have ordered here and Jaflong for over 30 years and will never order again. First missing food. Called up they were very rude as i said i wanted the order altogether as had waited an hour already said to put the food i dud have in the microwave , if i wanted to be heating up food i wouldnt of got a takeaway. While still waiting for the missing food i called again as still waiting the person who anwser said that they had other orders to delivery first! Then changed his mind, asked fir the manager and could then hear the bloke mimicking me in the background while i was waiting for the manager then told the manager wasnt in and put the phone down on me! Food was cold, tough and ended up throwing most of it away ! NEVER AGAIN!!! Definitely has gone downhill!!! ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY . If I could put 0 stars I would!!

It used to be the best, but now the quality is substandard, even the nan seems to store bought, Sunday buffet have closed down and still closed for lunch.

We ordered a takeaway from here as our usual choice of restaurant is closed on Mondays. We had heard good things about Curry Mahal but were very disappointed. The curries were lacking in flavour and heat, chicken was dry, appeared to have been pre cooked and added to the sauces at the last minute so consequently had not absorbed any flavour. Vegetable dishes we also overcooked and flavourless, chapatis tasted mainly of the fat used for frying, the naan and rice were ok. Everything arrived cold. We will definitely not be using Curry Mahal again.

I regularly used to go this restaurant, then I heard from other friends that use it, that it had gone downhill. I visited and sorry to say, agree with them. I had a takeaway delivery. This time. It arrived 1hr 30min after I ordered. Food was cold, very bland. Not very good guys. Your service has gone downhill badly, considering you used to be one of the best by far in that area. What’s gone wrong.

I have recently started using Curry Mahal for takeaways after moving to the local area. I am always met with a warm welcome when I arrive to collect my food. The food is fantastic, spices balanced perfectly. Their meat samosas are delicious, nice and moist inside. Their biryanis are beautiful as well. Never had a bad dish from them. I wouldn't go anywhere else now!

Ordered from here after not having it for a long time as it had gone downhill. I thought I would try it again as I really fancied an Indian Takeaway. MISTAKE! The food was bland and watery, my naan was burnt and the meat inside my samosas was RAW! Absolutely unacceptable!!!! Poor quality food is one thing but RAW LAMB is a completely different situation. Considering there was about 5 people in the restaurant at the time of pickup, I don’t know how they still managed to not cook the meat. If you are thinking of ordering from here, DON’T!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a takeaway . Our choice was based on ‘best Indian in Harrow ‘ arrived barley warm no problem however quality poor and lacked flavour. Rice was in clumps in container and stone cold suggesting it had come out of a cold store. Won’t use again

Great food as always. Shame though that the portion sizes have shrunk by around 20%. When i spoke to the restaurant on the telephone about this, they didn't want to know.. told me that the portions were the same despite being in smaller containers. They must think I'm stupid. I have been going here or take/away for 20 years or more.. not any more after being talked to like I'm a fool.. shame, but life goes on, plenty more restaurants in south harrow.

We've been customers of Curry mahal for many many years so it's frustrating to feel the need to leave such a negative review, however on Saturday my family and I decided to place an order for delivery. We've never had an issue before. Jay took our address and then our order. We were then told it'd take 2 hours to get our delivery, my wife asked if it could be any sooner, Jay said "sorry I'm cancelling your order" and hung up the phone. We called again to find out why he's decided to cancel the order after which he decided to tell us we're too far and hung up again. This is shocking service, especially as we've celebrated birthdays there and have ordered from there for many years without any issues.

Went here for dinner with mates after the NFL on sunday 1st oct. Good value for money. For 80 quid between us got 3 big starters, poperdoms, 3 mains, 3 naans and side of chips. Food was very nice. Would reconmend

Had such a great experience at curry mahal. I have two under two's and the staff were so accommodating in terms of seating and food arrangements. They really went above and beyond in making sure the children had food that was great tasting and non spicy Our food was also really tasty and great portion sizes to leave us very satisfied This will deffo be my go two for a good Indian food experience!

Lovely restaurant good service and great food

I am writing this review after I had food from here twice. 1. My first experience was a take away where we visited the restaurant and told them that we want hot( spicy) food as we had guests at home. The food that we received was so hot that we never had spicier food than this in our entire life. Our stomach was burning like anything.None of the guests could have it and unfortunately we had to throw all the gravies in the bin. It hits hard when you realise that you had so much expectations. 2. Our second experience was today where we went for fine dining. It took them 25 minutes to prepare the food. In the mean while we ordered papadam. We didn’t know that they would charge us extra pounds for the chutneys ( which we didn’t ask for). We ordered 3 gravies. We ordered the main dishes and not the side dishes and the quantity that we received was just to taste and not satisfy our hunger. The serving bowls were less than half filled . A bigggggg disappointment when you have to pay the same price which you pay everywhere and you get nothing in return.We ordered nans and chapatis and we received actual khameeri roti. There is a big difference between nans and khameeri rotis .Our parents were vegetarian so we ordered vegetable biryani. In return we received biryani that had eggs in it, that was the next disappointment. So, after so much disappointment I would say they really need to consider things seriously. As the name suggests Curry Mahal ( Indian restaurant) being an Indian I can assure you that there was no indianess in the food. Would never recommend this place.

For our Indian we go there. Tasty food but sadly portions are adapted to the existing economical climate. I would recommend trying.

I ate here recently on a Friday evening with friends. There's a wide selection of Indian dishes on the menu, although the choice of beers is rather limited. The prices are reasonable. The food was good quality and the service was good (better than before, possibly because it was a quiet evening).

This is a hidden gem. I have been going here for years and the food has always been amazing. Do try their “lamb do piaza” and they do an amazing tarka dal. The service here also has always been exceptional.
