Curry 2 Night in Rushcliffe

I ordered a takeaway 14/ 1 via Just Eat. We normally favour Aziz Khan or curry place at lady bay but on recommendation tried here. When delivery didn’t come called and advised being packed up, waited another full hour! Tried to phone all evening phone being put down, finally given apology busy due to Forest Game??? If the timings were accurate we’d never of ordered in first place. Food was Luke warm, naans incorrect, just about acceptable. When complained was told to re-order and we’ll be looked after. Attempted again on Sunday and spoke to the manager, I had to argue for discount, delivery came and unhappy with all meat chewy bad quality, end result everyone has had a bad stomach. Just warning to others - I don’t feel like I can approach this takeaway again.

I visited Curry 2 Night with a group of friends yesterday. We were one of four tables in the restaurant, but despite that the service was terrible and it was quite frankly astounding how much they got wrong. It took a very long time for the waiter to even take our order, and once he had the starters took over an hour to arrive. This was partly due to the kitchen having ran out of paneer, which they somehow hadn't realised until 40 minutes after our order, at which point my friend had to order something else. When they did eventually arrive, it turned out they had also ran out of lamb chops, so they asked one of us to have a mix of one lamb chop and hot meat instead of what he ordered. There was no apology, and more of an expectance that this wouldn't be a problem. Taste wise we were all also pretty disappointed, the lamb was chewy and there was not a lot of meat on the plates. Believe it or not, our experience didn't get much better after that either. Our mains took another 20 minutes to arrive, which isn't terrible but not great after the lengthy wait for our starters. When the mains did come, the only word I can think of to describe the proceedings is chaotic. My friend had ordered a prawn curry, but when the dish arrived the waiter said it was lamb, then changed his mind to chicken when we said nobody had ordered lamb. Nobody had ordered chicken either, so he started fishing around the curry to figure out what it was, at which point he confirmed it was the prawn. The delivery of our naan breads seemed alarmingly similar, as he asked one of my friends to taste test a naan to check it was peshwari. It wasn't, it was garlic. This was also very worrying for my friend who has a serious nut allergy, and he didn’t feel comfortable eating the food when even the staff didn’t know what it was. A while after the mains arrived, they brought out rice that one of us had ordered, my friend said it was too late now because he had already eaten most of his food, but the waiter said "just have it innit" (and he didn't mean on the house). Again, the curries were okay but not amazing. After all of this we had been at the restaurant a total of 3 hours for two courses, in a restaurant serving a total of around 20 people. There was no apology at any stage for how long we had to wait, or the fact that the paneer and lamb chops were missing. In fact, they were seemingly oblivious to the fact that anything at all was out of the ordinary, which is quite worrying in itself. The bill came with no deductions and no apology again. I wasn’t really expecting anything based on the service to that point, but it still took me a little by surprise that no recognition was given to the poor experience we’d had. We told them that the service was nowhere near to standard, and that we had expected some money off the bill. I think they knew it hadn’t been good enough, but blamed it on the kitchen being too busy with delivery orders. He said we could have £5 off the bill to begin with, off a total which was in excess of £200! Eventually it was brought to £15 off which the owner was incredibly reluctant to allow. This worked out at just over £2 off per person. We left very dissatisfied and and it didn’t feel like they were remotely bothered by the level of service they had provided for us. I certainly won’t be returning to this restaurant and would advise others against going too. Stay clear!

Food was 10/10, hospitality was perfect. Compliments to the chef Abul. Couldn’t ask for more will definitely return next year!

Tonight was a special night. Won’t forget it. Food was superb, company was great and the service was unmatched. Cannot wait to carry on this tradition next year!

We came as a group of 9, the food was absolutely outstanding, portions were massive and the flavours were top notch. The service and hospitality were also incredible. I would highly reccomend it to anyone.

Popped in last night for a quick bite to eat before the Cricket ar Trent Bridge. My first time and would definitely go again. Food was very good and so was the service, enjoyed it more than the cricket (unfortunately Notts lost)

Always our go to takeaway in wb and never fails to impress. All chef specials have such a good, distinctive flavour (not just a variation on brown/pink sauce, as so many other takeaways are). The staff are lovely too, even offered a soft drink whilst we waited for our order. Don’t go anywhere else!

This is the second time we have used this place for a home takeaway delivery and again we were very impressed. All the dishes we ordered were very tasty and it arrived when promised. The poppadoms were nice and crunchy and the meat in the dishes appears good quality and the portion size was generous. We’ll certainly order from here again.

We’ve been trying to find a new curry house since our local one has gone right off the boil. Heard good things about C2N so decided to give them a try. Placed the order online at 16.08 and got confirmation email at 18.00 for collection...

Ordered our takeaway & only recieved half the order. First they denied any food had been ordered but eventually admitted they had recieved it. We're still waiting for our forgotten items after we called them an hour ago.CHECK YOUR ORDER AS SOON AS IT ARRIVES....

Not the first time we have visited, however definitely the best experience we have had. The service was prompt yet not too quick and the chef was especially friendly along with the rest of the staff. An all-round nice night.

This restaurant is a Hidden Gem close to West Bridgford town centre, next to Trent Bridge Cricket Ground. We live locally but would never have visited except it was recommended by friends.The food and service are both excellent, and the restaurant is well presented.Their Onion Bhaji is the best we have had, and they offer good vegetarian choices.We fully recommend this restaurant.

First time visitors to this restaurant for daughters birthday, had pompaddoms to start with pickles, owner said all pickles were home made, had a platter to share for starter which was also nice, main courses were excellent and hot with good portions, also as it was daughters birthday, a cake was provided and also a bottle of wine, which was a nice touch, throughly recommended this restaurant, reasonably priced, will visit again for sure.

Took my brother for his birthday. Great experience as usual. We come here a lot in the summer after watching 20/20 cricket at Trent Bridge. Very attentive staff and Abu the manager is very interested in what your particular tastes are for curries. Consistently delicious food and friendly, knowledgeable staff. It was a pleasure to be served by Abu who is always the perfect host. This time I opted for the Sab Ka Maza as it is one of my favourites, along with the Bombay aloo and peshwari naan. If you want authentic and delicious tasting Indian cuisine I’d definitely recommend you try Curry 2 Night.

We only went here last night as the restaurant we normally go to was full,but what was a disappointment turned in to a positive as we now know a new top class place to go.Everything is just first class,the food is fabulous,the staff friendly and attentive,we will be certainly be returning soon.

We visited Curry2night on the recommendation of a friend who goes there regularly. We were certainly not disappointed as the food was excellent. My son was undecided which dish to have for his main course, so Abu, who was taking his order, asked him what dishes he would usually eat, then offered to combine the two to create the perfect dish. Abu was right, the meal was wonderful. The menu is comprehensive, and every dish we had, starters and mains were wonderful. The staff seem determined to ensure that customers are completely satisfied, and we were. We will definitely be defecting from our usual restaurant in favour of Curry2night.

We visited on a Saturday night. The service was good and friendly. Food was presented nicely. I had the lamb which was lean and tender. Portions were good. 4 of us went and all the food got eaten. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Had a very delicious King Prawn and Paneer curry. Food was excellent;freshly prepared. Abu was a wonderful host;friendly and gracious. Explained the different options & catered one of the dishes to our preference. Highly recommend,will be coming back.

Went here for the first time for takeout. Placed over the phone and collected a short time later. Had a little wait as they cooked one of the dishes when i arrived to keep it as hot as possible. Fantastic food and definatly will return.

Went here for meal on Wednesday evening with family. It isn’t the first visit. We have been a few times. I ordered the fish curry which I hadn’t had before. It didn’t disappoint! A little on the mild side for some but I am sure they would make it hotter on request. The service was very good and extremely friendly. The prices have been reduced since our last visit which was good news and very reasonable for the area.

We keep going back because we enjoy everything about this curry house... food is simply gorgeous, service is top notch, prices have been lowered so even better! Thanks to all of the staff for making us so welcome!

We have had a few take aways from this restaurant but visited it for the first time on New Years Eve and most recently tonight. It is a lovely restaurant which is very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is excellent; portion size is good and if you don’t eat it all, they will bag it up! Drinks are reasonably priced too and even the house wine tastes ok. 5 minutes walk from cricket and Forest ground, 10 from County ground . Thank you Abu and all the staff for a lovely experience

On a January Thursday night 4 of us dropped into Curry 2 night with friends for the first time, a little worried as there was no one in.... However, the staff were very friendly, the food was exceptional and we were very well looked after even having some photos with the team... thank you all very much boys for a great meal.

Fabulous food and (fast) service with a smile. Garlic and coriander naan breads are the best I’ve had in a long time and the butter chicken masala had bags of flavour - highly recommend!

So, new to the area and last minute decision to eat out early and so pleased Abu could fit us in. I had the Vegetable Balti which was lovely and came sizzling to the table. My husband had the Garlic Chilli Chicken Tikka which he says was very light, tasty and not too spicy. The poppadoms were lovely, light and non greasy and the chutneys very tasty with a couple I hadn’t tried before. The pilau rice was the lightest I had ever had, gorgeous and the thin bubbled nan bread was just how we like it and to die for. The service from both waiters who served us was fab, it was all quick, slick but at no time did we feel rushed and friendly. The food was piping hot and we will definitely return.

I don't spend a great deal of time in Nottingham but every time I come back I always make sure I head over to Curry 2 Night for a great meal. Lovely food and great service (thanks Abu) this restaurant is highly recommended.

4 of us went on Saturday 21st December we had a really good meal, staff were fantastic and I don’t know a better Indian restaurant in Bridgford! Will try a takeaway next time

We came here for a birthday meal where there was meant to be 16 of us. When we arrived we was greeted where a gentleman came to the boys who’s birthday it was and started massaging his back etc saying he will give him offers for his birthday, where we thought he was very friendly. Unfortunately, 3 people couldn’t make it where the staff got a bit angry about as they shouted that they brought extra staff in for it and took it out on us. Not only did it say on the menu if you spend over £50 you get 20% off which obviously a big group of us we certainly did. However we asked them to total what each pair had separately so we knew how much we owed which the gentleman said was no problem. At the end the bill game to an extortionate amount and they did not take 20% off and wouldn’t because he added them up in pairs instead of a group total. We asked if we could just total them up and then have the 20% off (which he agreed beforehand) he then again got very aggressive. Additionally, online the menu is MUCH cheaper than in the shop by a massive amount. I showed this menu as there were so called offers for this day online but he continuously told me they did not do these which to me is false advertising. Finally, to get a drink you have to go up and pay for this straight away which was no problem however this is £10 MINIMUM! Which is ridiculous if you only want one drink. Very disappointed will not be returning! I think the staff member was called abdu. Very rude and very aggressive!

Visited curry 2 night mid week and the staff, specifically Abu, were very friendly and the service was excellent. The food service worked around when we were ready and it was quick!

We was served by a polite,enthusiastic and passionate waiter called Abu. He was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him to handle. The food was delivered promptly and I must say it is one of the best curry houses in Nottingham.The currys are very flavorsome and are a decent portion size. Thank you all for a lovely service and for such a yummy curry!

Had a family gathering so rang the day before to place our order , my husband went to collect & order was ready for him, no hanging about, food was piping hot & as always fantastic, our favourite curry restaurant 😘

The food was absolutely amazing and I could not fault the service at all, brilliant family run business and amazing atmosphere I would definitely recommend it. The manager was amazing giving me a free shot of Sambuca definitely a place I’d recommend for couples and family. Would love to pop in and have a pint sometime with the manager seems like a down to earth guy and is very nice. All round an amazing night great service and a very reasonable price thank you.

Had an amazing meal here! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The recommendations were perfect, and it was great to try new dishes personally adapted to our preferences! My only problem was that I ordered too much food because I couldn't decide and wanted to try EVERYTHING! I have found my new favourite Indian restaurant.

We’ve used this restaurant for take sways for several years. We were out with friends and thought we would give the eat in a try. We were not disappointed, It was even better than the take away, with excellent service from Abu and the team with top notch food.

What better way to treat my son on his birthday than to take to take him to his favourite Indian restaurant. Once again the service was superb as always and the food was top notch. Decided to try a couple of different curries than my usual and was glad I did. Tried the lamb chops for the first time and these have to be the best lamb chops I have ever tasted, only got these as a starter but will definitely be getting them as a main next time. Highly recommend this place, service and food is superb!

As locals we have visited curry 2 nite several times. It has been great but for various reasons it had been about a year since our last visit. Tonight we fancied a curry and it was great to discover that since our last visit it had become licensed. We enjoyed our poppadoms, ordered a bottle of wine and perused the menu. We were welcomed by Abu and he was extremely helpful and friendly. We shared starters of mixed kebab and chilli paneer. The presentation and taste were fantastic. We really enjoyed our main course accompanied by rice and naan. We were so full that we had to take some home! Overall a fantastic meal. Outside the restaurant can look like an average takeaway but I would wholeheartedly recommend coming inside for a meal and having a chat with the staff.

I visited for the first time last night with a couple of friends from work. The food and service was first class from start to finish. When it came to ordering we were helped with recommendations and they were all fantastic choices. I’m looking forward to the next visit.

One of THE best meals I have had in a long time! The food was amazing and the service great. I could find nothing to criticise and I will definitely eat there again. It was a 30 mile round trip for me but worth every bit. Can highly recommend
