Just called in for a quick drink.Its a wonderful quirky bar.

Always enjoy going for food here! Staff are lovely, food is fab .. added bonus recently is the addition of the football without being a sports bar!

Breakfast was banging! Top sausage! Waitress was lovely.

Came for lunch as a group of 4. I had the salt & pepper loaded fries which was great, fresh and really good value for money! We really enjoyed the decor, service and overall atmosphere. Would highly recommend and we will be back again. Some of our group had cocktails which were reasonably priced, well presented and went down a storm.

Lovely bar! Lovely staff! Always go above and beyond, the food is brill and the drinks are just as good! Deffo recommend

Made the mistake of booking a bottomless brunch here instead of The Cabinet. The staff were pleasant but a bit clueless, the cocktails were really poor...no garnishes, not even in the Pimms, cocktails served at room temperature which should have been shaken over ice, some even missing an ingredient promised on the menu but apparently not in the recipe at the bar - (carribbean sea with no malibu). Food was ok although it took a while between the first and last plates being served and there were only 6 of us. Overall disappointing and not worth the £40. Cabinet for us next time.

£11.75 omg one piece of bacon, one sausage, three mushrooms, half tomato, one tinned tomato. One slice of toast cut in half. One half cup of tea. A thimble of beans.

The food I’ve ordered online is really nice and well presented but I really don’t understand the opening and closing times, a bit all over the place if I’m being honest, some days open at 12, others at 4 the it closes at 8:30 then 10 or 9 pm I ordered once online and they rejected my order for some reason and then closed for some reason that wasn’t even explained, I would order more if it wasn’t because of opening times

Went today for coffee and biscutes.Very smart good value for money.Served by ella she was so gracious and pretty.The staff seem so polite.There was divas Cher and madonna on the speakers nice relaxed atmosphere. Fully recommended you must try.

The staff here are excellent and super friendly! The girls running the bar clearly get along really well and bring a great vibe to the place. Lovely, chatty and welcoming upon arrival. The food here was also ace, I’d recommend the cheese and bacon burger and onion rings, they hit the spot perfectly! Safe to say we’ll be visiting again for a cheeky vimto !!

The new owners of curiosity are great! The food is amazing and whenever we find time to nip in for something to eat or a drink we do! It’s a nice escape! They have recently started putting their own stamp on the place & we can’t wait to see it when it’s finished ✅! If you’re in the area definitely add Curiosity to your itinerary!

Visited here last week and unfortunately I'm not sure I will be returning. Since new ownership the price of food has gone up massively whilst the quality and portions have reduced drastically. We ordered a bottle of prosecco and was given a cheap screw top supermarket bottle. Really poor, especially given the price. The once atmospheric bar is now reduced to a shell of it's former self. It is bland and lifeless and quite frankly feels cold and uninviting now. I totally understand that new owners will want to put their own stamp on things but blimey, they've ruined the place.

massively overpriced breakfast. pathetic portion sizes. £9 for 3 tiny pancakes and what is basically 1 strawberry and half banana. ridiculous when you go to Mayhap cafe they give you 3 plate sized pancakes and loads of fruit/syrup plus proper cream for only £2 more. Would not reccomend going at all to Curiosity.

Andrew was a fantastic server who even after a small mistake did everything he could to rectify it and make mine and my girlfriends experience fantastic Food was amazing and it’s all reasonably priced will definitely be back! Thanks Andrew and Ste the chef!

After going in here for years I am sorry to say that the place seems to be going downhill under the new owners, it has lost a lot of its appeal, there seems to be a cheaper feel to it, and I feel like corners are being cut. Also there are not enough staff on.

After decades of eating out near Christmas from seasonal menus, they can often be a disappointment. Not so at Curiosity where the food was very nice - and more to the point piping hot (not always the case where a party is being catered for). The starter was good and the fillet steak (and trimmings) spot on. Decent drinks and bar service even though the bar was very busy at times. Recommended.

Been coming to this little gem of a bar for a number of years. Was in recently for drinks with our friends. Noticed a significant difference since the change of ownership and not necessarily in a good way. There was only one person serving at the bas last Saturday night and it was rammed. The only other person we saw working was cleaning up/doing other jobs. People were queuing for so long that we decided to leave after a couple of drinks as we just couldn’t spend our money due to the long waiting times. They no longer serve the extensive cocktails they once did. Even more of a shame as we always loved the Grinch cocktails. They don’t have a great selection of drinks either, giving a cheaper feel. And with the lack of staff, they are losing a lot of custom. The other nearby bars were busier and coped much better as they had adequate staff. Overall, the ambience and magic the place once had under the previous owners is no longer a thing. Such a shame, as it was our favourite bar.

We went for brunch which was standard. £35 for 90mins, waiter was really rude and awkward. 4 cocktails on the menu but no idea what's in them as its not on the menu. Limited food menu though many items are the same price, pizzas just taste like frozen oven pizza, burgers are tiny, basic, tasteless. For the price there's alot better out there, this is bottom of the barrel, but if your a local townie with no experience you'll love it.

This is the best place in Atherton. The food is superb and the staff are always helpful and great, especially Ella who served us today. She came to our table and was really friendly and knowledgeable about the food. She was quick and really lovely. It's decorated wonderfully and it's such a great atmosphere, and absolute diamond of a place!

Spare of the moment lunch decision. Glad we did. Had the Yorkshire pudding wrap and the BLT with fries. Was lovely washed down with a beer in the sun trap at the back of the bar.

Ordered food said delivery between 8 45 to 9pm but never arrived called the restaurant multiple times and just rang out

Hi, not a food review, but some feedback on how you present as a business. I was cycling today and came out of Howe bridge sports centre. One of your vans let me out, then gave me space on the road, I acknowledged your driver and got a friendly courteous wave back. If everyone on the roads was this this friendly life would be so much easier for us all. Your driver reflects excellently on you as a company and I'll now look at your menu and what you offer. It was around 1030- 1045, if you can narrow down the driver and thank him I'd appreciate it.

We've just had burgers delivered from Curiosity for our dinner tonight. Wow, they really were absolutely delicious as was the salted caramel chocolate cheese cake. Such incredible value for money, as well as excellent service.

Had the steak and cheese on roll and it was fantastic and full of flavour. My wife had the captions fish fingers and she said it also was fantastic. The staff looked after you and made you feel welcome. Thanks

I agree with the post below, we went a few weeks back, the gentleman who served us for the bottomless brunch was super helpful and friendly, however once the brunch began we had to go to the bar several times to ask for drinks. Food was nice enough, bar is very nice as well. I’d go again for food and drinks but not worth it for the bottomless brunch unfortunately.

We went as a family for Sunday lunch, the food was nice and the hospitality was great, warm, friendly, attentive staff who despite being very busy still offered a first class service.

Ordered food at 6.20pm, at 8.20pm I rang to ask were my food was to be told it's out with the driver. Arrived at 9.05pm. Food was like warm. Absolutely fuming. Usually food is tasty and piping hot. Not what I need when I've been at work since 7.30am and I'm hungry. Wont be going again!

We did the bottomless brunch and was pleasantly surprised how amazing it was!! The food choices are great and you get loads!! The drinks included are fab. The service was brilliant and would absolutely do it again! Very reasonable in price too!!

Poor customer care. I asked to use the accessible toilet and was sent up two flights of stairs without question. Very poor. When you get up the stairs the toilet floor is very sloppy, borderline dangerous. The beer is ok but only ok, the place seems to offer more than it can deliver. Very disappointing, must try harder.

Got a delivery, was really impressed with the burgers. The Combo box was even better had a really decent mix of food. Nothing got wasted. Got a mix of everything on the menu so everyone is happy :)

Great menu, prompt delivery, arrived in perfect condition and tasted fantastic! Burgers were really tasty and the bacon fries were delicious. Presentation lovely and tasted like there were freshly prepared and delivered straight away. Will order again!

Every element of the dishes had flavour and it was just so refreshing to go out for lunch and not be disappointed with mediocre food and boring menus. The coffee and service was also great. We decided to try takeout later in the evening and ordered a couple of the gourmet burgers and fries. We were worried that the food might not be as enjoyable after being delivered and packaged for takeout etc. We were so wrong; the packaging is well adapted and thought out so your food arrives fresh, and still really well presented. Prices are super reasonable, all round a really great little place and well worth a try. Will definitely be back.

Food here is exquisite, diverse menu and the drinks are lovely. The customer service goes above and beyond everyone's friendly has a smile and talk like human beings not corporate staff. The venue itself is pretty small so can get booked up quickly but an epic date night place the decor unique and eye catching. Brunch offers are very pretty sweet aslo. Been several times and will be coming again

We held my sisters surprise baby shower here yesterday we had afternoon tea and it was lovely, they couldn’t do enough for us, it was the best afternoon for my sister.

Had a pint of Guinness poured terribly and it wasn't a great pint. Guy playing music was so loud that couldn't hear anyone talking. Saying that the place was packed, HOT and a friendly atmosphere. Will be going again to try the food in house, had take away and it was lovely...just won't have Guinness.

What a find!!! Called in for a beer midday Friday , menu tempted myself and partner back later on for food. Ordered a delivery two nights in a row Friday and Saturday. Both evenings orders came on time, food was piping hot and beers were ice cold, drivers friendly. Ordered their burgers for a takeaway. We were certainly not disappointed. They were absolutely delicious, as was their chocolate fudge cake, cheesecake and prices. Cannot recommend Curiosity highly enough.

This is a little gem of a bar, the staff are friendly, the owners are so nice and welcoming, it is full of quirky stuff and is unique, the food and drink are spot on to, we love it!!
