Gail allowed us to host a DnD session here, aka DnTea, we had exclusive use of the venue and enjoyed an amazing ploughman's lunch. The food was amazing, as was the service. A wonderful atmosphere has been created in this unique tearoom. I enjoyed a lovely pot of tea and delicious Bakewell tart whilst chatting to other customers and Gail the friendly owner. There is a vast array of hand blended teas as well as tea related gifts, a must visit for tea lovers. Gail also sells locally produced goods such as jams and chutneys. You can even buy your birthday cards from here. Well worth a visit. Footnote. Have just realised this has been sitting in drafts hence delay in posting.

Lovely visit to cup & saucer this morning. Gayle is friendly and welcoming, great selection of teas and cakes which I enjoyed with my friend during a new year catch up. Also bought some vintage tea ware Gayle was selling off which I was so pleased with. My first visit was just before Christmas for presents which were well received. Will definitely visit again. Thank you!

Called in today to top up my tea stocks. Stayed for a pot of Nettle and Dandelion tea and an excellent slice of gluten free lemon drizzle cake (so nice to have a decent GF cake 👍). Lovely chat with Gail, which nearly made me late for lunch 😁. Always a pleasure and the best tea around.

Gail & I had been following each other's business on facebook for some time. I decided to visit her just after she opened her shop. I was amazed by the charm, gorgeous vintage-style, art deco vibes, and an overwhelming array of specialty teas. It was cosy, warm & very welcoming. I couldn't stop looking at the display. It was an absolute pleasure to finally meet Gail. She is just so lovely & made me feel really welcome. I had a regular tea, served in the cutest little teapot with matching cup & saucer with the most delicious scone. It's lovely to support other local small businesses, especially women. Looking forward to going again & trying some of the other teas.

Visited Cup and Saucer in Clay Cross High Street opposite the old post office. It is a delightful friendly shop with an incredible range of teas and some very tempting cakes. I shall certainly make it a regular haunt. Gail who owns and runs the shop states sorry we do not have WIFI but you certainly don't need it as it is such a friendly place where everyone is very social able.

I had a gorgeous hot chocolate with cream marshmallows and the works. I can definitely recommend for those who are not tea drinkers. My friend and I also had a delicious cake each. I bought a gift for Christmas, 3 boxes of flavourful biscuits, I am not a big tea dinker but the hot chocolate is more than enough to make up for that. The shop is not that large so at times it can be take away service rather than sit in. If you have not been in yet, I promise you you will be back for more once you try it out. out of 10 it gets 11 from me

Cafe and small motorcycle museum in one. A bit hidden away, but if you're a motorcycling buff, it's worth hunting it out. Admission free, it's part museum and part shop as it seems everything is for sale. The bikes are in concourse condition, thanks to the enthusiastic couple who now own the place. The cafe does an excellent breakfast, along with cakes and other edible treats. There is no car park and on street parking is limited, but the street wasn't busy the day we were there. I'd certainly revisit.

This is a lovely room, set in tranquil and beautiful setting. The family that owned it were lovely and did whatever they could for us. The log fire was fantasic to sit next to as we ate a meal that competed with the 5 star buxton crescent we were at the night before. Breakfast in the morning was equally as good, the chef made me poached, scrambled and fried eggs (my request) all perfect. We felt well looked after and valued as customers. The decor/atmosphere in the pub was the only thing I thought could be improved but nothing that will prevent us from coming back again!

We have recently discovered a gem of a place, tucked out of the way in Coal Aston near Dronfield. The Magic Sunflower is a plant based eatery, fronted by Julie and Mark. They are totally focussed on providing the best food with the best service and they have created a heart-warming and welcoming space. It genuinely feels that they care about each and every meal they serve. I have had a plant-based diet for over 30 years and this is the best restaurant I have eaten in. The mains are mainly salad based and there is usually a 'special', currently mac and cheese. The salads are all great, simply zinging with health. The food feels like you are nurturing and respecting your body with beautiful flavours. My partner who is vegetarian loves the tofu scramble which could be described as a plant based all day breakfast. It includes roasted mushrooms and tomatoes, garlicky spinach and small roast potatoes as well as the scrambled tofu. There are a number of bread and toast and flatbread options. The cakes are amazing and we notice that many of their customers linger for coffee and cake or take a cake home after their meal.
