A disappointment! After a long walk from Hailsham I was expecting some enjoyable on arrival. But no. After waiting in the queue to order food I got to the till at one minute past noon to be told “breakfast is finished” Not in an apologetic manner but offish. The coffee id mediocre and the cake was over dry.

A great new addition to the Cuckoo Trail. It's a must to stop by here for all walkers and cyclists looking for great coffee, tea and sumptuous cake to help them on their journey. I had the vegan brownie and my partner the chocolate gateau, both of which were awesome. Such a friendly welcome from Roz and family too in a lovely setting, complete with alpaca and rare breed sheep. We'll be back!

I loved this place! Just what was needed midway along our walk on the Cuckoo Trail. The coffee and cake were fantastic and the service was really friendly. What's more, the setting is just delightful. A real find and we hope to return again soon.

I visited the cuckoo trail cafe today with a friend and our two boys. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome, some great coffee and delicious cake! There were vegan options, gf options and a variety of other cakes on offer. A very lovely set up to stop for a coffee and some cake along the cuckoo trail. Will definitely visit again!

So excited for this new business venture. A horsebox transformed into a very trendy cafe, ready and waiting for you to have a stop over on your walk on the pretty cuckoo trail or even just to meet with friends and families. Perfect coffee, delicious cakes, very friendly staff, plenty of space in the fresh air, surrounded by nature, mud kitchens for the children, sheep and an Alpaca to watch.

We had a lovely morning at the Cuckoo Trail Café! My family and I walked the Cuckoo Trail and met friends at the café. It was the perfect relaxed spot for the children to play while we enjoyed some delicious coffee and cakes. Child-friendly. Dog-friendly. Card and cash accepted. Plenty of seating and bins provided. A basic toilet on site. Friendly, welcoming staff. Good range of drinks and snacks available.

We were disappointed as we heard rave reviews about this restaurant. Slow service waited ages and didn't even get offered a drink which we would have like to have. Finally when we did get served they have run out of 2 soft drinks including Lemomade!! A Main dish had run out as well plus 2 desserts! Starter were nice .Main course pasta small portion but ok and other main dish got cold quickly as it was served on cold slate plate. Such shame as we were so looking forward to a nice meal out.

Food was absolutely amazing ! So fresh and flavoursome , a taste sensation!! I especially loved the vegetable tempura and ginger prawn dish and lychee and rose sorbet , all amazing. The staff were excellent, the man who served gave us loads of information and recommendations and was so helpful. Would absolutely definitely recommend x
