Really good food, highly recommend

Great wee place for a takeout! Have been ordering from here for years. Staff are very helpful and always remember your order if you’re a regular.

Went here because of the name of course except they weren’t serving ‘doe deer’ but instead Chinese food which was good

Very good and good sized portions.

Everything here has, so far, been delicious. It's also very affordable, which is rare these days. Generous portion sizes too. We've yet to be disappointed by anything.

I ordered the Thai Red curry on line , while I can usually eat curry’s with plenty of heat this was inedible. The heat was absurdly hot, instant hiccups and total lack of taste after 1 mouthful Not to be repeated! ( unlike this curry has all evening after 1 mouthful

Best Chinese in southside! Tried so many before trying to find our local Chinese and we had crystal castle and haven’t changed since. Were amazing to fix a problem with delivery and staff were so nice. 10/10 would highly recommended!

First time, food was lovely, arrived hot and nice delivery man. We have been looking for another chinese for our weekend takeaway since our local has changed hands, and now we have found it! Delicious x

Great food and service with lots of variety. Reasonably priced.

Had a few melas from here now and have been very happy with the food. They are accomodating and friendly. We ordered Peking chicken and Kung Po Beef with cashew nuts. They gave us chicken instead of the beef so it gives me an excuse to go back and try for beef! It is our favourite take away now. I have heard the crispy noodles are good as well as the salt and chilli dishes too.

Food’s ok but was charged extra for paying by card. Tried to explain this was now illegal but they didn’t seem to care. Won’t be back.

Bought take away from hear last night, minimum beef ,in beef curry ,£3.60 for "oinion rings"(12 small) the same as you purchase from lidel,aldi etc for £1,felt totally ripped off,won't use it again disgraceful tbh

One of the best Chinese takeaway in the southside which have been operating for almost 17years and i have been a customer for almost the same time (since 2005).

My favourite local Chinese. My go-to for a hangover cure. Delivery is always fast and food is class, especially recommend the salt and chilli chicken

No photos but friday 3/9/21 i was in first time ever and I'm never going back to Crystal Castle Pollokshaws Road Glasgow Chinese takeaway, (Friday night starving), because the food didn't reach the plates it went straight where it belongs down the toilet pan and into the sewer as it did, the meat was rotten prawns over cooked and sauce contained unsavoury aromas, special house curry fried rice & prawn crackers £10.00 carryout.

Impressed with the food quality, portion sizes a little smaller than other places, and the service was a tad slow, maybe an off night with staff levels etc though, will definitely try here again.

Went in for a carry out around 5ish, so a busy time for telephone orders, person serving was run off her feet between calls and people picking up orders. So sympathy there. Three times she started to take my order and three times she prioritised an incoming call? Felt I should have just used my phone - in the shop - to get a better service. No idea why the phone customer was more important than me? Once I had the food it was not great, satay sauce was way to like vinegar and the sweet and sour sauce was thin and watery. So sorry, won't be back. All in all a poor experience

First time trying this place and having previously thought of my Southside Chinese takeaway knowledge as being top notch, I hang my head in shame. Had 2 pretty standard dishes, a chicken curry and special chow mein, both where excellent. Great portion sizes, friendly staff and was ready in 5 minutes, highly recommended.

Have been ordering regularly from Crystal Castle over the last 6 months and always been impressed with both the quality of the food and the terrific service. Tonight I ordered through the CC app and only when the meal was delivered did I realise that I had forgotten to order fried rice. I rang and was immediately offered to have it sent out to me which happened within less than 10 minutes. Fantastic response. Happy to recommend. You won't be disappointed.

We ordered salt and pepper ribs unfortunately the ribs a chopped up into tiny bits and hardly anything to eat on them nearly 6 quid wasters there. My husband quite liked his beef curry but I could eat mine i ordered beef in ginger and spring onion it was jelly like and slabery in texture. The fried rice was quite nice so I did eat that shame it used to be my favourite takeaway.

My absolute favourite Chinese in Glasgow! It was hard to find over the years but worth the wait 😁

He estado usando este lugar durante 7 años casi ahora, a veces una vez por semana. Es la mejor comida china que he probado y la entrega siempre es rápida, generalmente dentro de media hora más o menos, lo que creo que es genial. En ocasiones puede llevar un poco de tiempo, pero eso sucede una vez en una luna azul si lo dejo hasta tarde un viernes por la noche para ordenar, tal vez dos veces al año de un año de pedidos casi semanales. Todo lo que he tenido lo he disfrutado y no tiende a desviarse de la misma calidad. A menudo compro arroz frito, fideos, pollo agridulce, papas fritas, pollo al curry, chow mien, arroz frito con pollo y pollo con sal y pimienta. Siempre encantador y tendrá la intención de seguir usándolos.

Very good Chinese takeaway, always good food, the hottest Chinese curry i've ever had. Oh and are open Tuesday's, when most Chinese takeaway's are closed.

First time ordering from here as my local t/away is temp closed. I am very impressed. Food was lovely and will be using again. X

Now this is a hidden gem, as you can see from the photos the place looks a bit drab and run down, but that doesn't affect the quality of the food they produce, it supplies you with really nice authentic meals cooked the way you want at affordable prices, It's one place I would use again if am around that area

I have been using the Crystal Castle for a few years now. Iv never had a bad meal ...the staff are always friendly...the delivery guys are equally friendly. Iv tried probably all the Chinese restaurants in shawlands but always end up at the palace. Try their orange chicken...its superb

As per the title, this is an ok Chinese but to charge 50p for using a card in this day and age is an utter joke, particularly when this is not a cheap place to begin with. Despite being 100 yards from my house I will now avoid. The Happy Garden in Riverford Road is far superior and cheaper anyway.

Used the Crystal Castle since moving over to the Southside 12 years ago. Never bettered.

Great little Chinese take away with good quality and good value. The £7 Happy Meals are great value with a starter and slightly smaller main meal than on the standard menu.

Try Singapore fried rice or chicken curry! Awesome. Owner is very friendly and helpful. We live locally and use frequently. It is very popular with everyone around

This is absolutely stinking , got 4 ribs but one had already been ate. Curry was cold and chips were brown fkn boggin. :(

This is a reasonably good Chinese takeaway, which is reasonably priced and is run reasonably well. They have a nice happy meal for one; comes with a starter, main course and fried rice, all for £6.80 (at the time of writing). The also do a decent fried rice with curry sauce for £3.20; optional onions and / or mushrooms for 20p. They have decent vegetarian options, and are reasonably helpful in complying with your requests to remove animal products from items. I sometimes have the Singapore vegetable curry, which has a nice flavour and consistency, and goes nicely with rice. I've never had delivery, only collection, but they've always seemed fast and efficient. I've never had anything from here which really seems outstanding, otherwise I would give it four stars.

Skirving on Skirving street, while a tad more expensive is miles better in quality and no comparison to this place. This is just a bog standard chinese.

Have tried most in the area, this place has not to be beaten in either price or quality, it's the best. Cystal Castle for a take away, Ho Wong if you want to sit in.

absolutely appalling service. Our meal was sent to the wrong address and when we phoned up to get a fresh delivery an hour later they said "no can do" and they then suggested they pick up the meal from the wrongly delivered address and then we heat it up. We were then offered a free meal in our next future order but this transpired to only be the cheapest item from our five item meal. Very disappointed tonight as we use this takeaway regularly but we will be taking our custom elsewhere. Real shame.

Standard westernised Chinese menu. Not much in the way of anything traditional. Portion sizes are good but spring rolls and chow mein both a little greasy in our first order. Tried them again recently and quality much improved. Pricing is very fair and delivery quick, with food piping hot. Driver very pleasant.

Beautiful fresh food and 30mins delivery just in time for my guests arriving. .I couldn't face cooking after getting soaked with rain. .ordered set meal for Three. Good choice as two friends didn't eat red meat so the prawn and chicken options were beautiful..the food was fresh and not greasy at all. And plenty fresh vegetables. ..unlike my old regular. .will order again..great price Quality and value xx Happy customers!

My partner and I have chinese food at least once a week, and this place never fails to give us huge portions of perfectly cooked dishes each time. What's more we get free spring rolls cause we spend over a certain amount. It's always busy, but they are FAST. So don't let a full shop put you off.
