Crumbs Cafe in Forest Heath

I’ve given them many chances, but today confirmed that I shall never go to Crumbs again. Customer service was appalling. Our group was made to feel unwelcome, staff were reluctant to accommodate us, and refused to clear a table that was being used to decorate their front window so we could sit down and enjoy our coffee. Upon hearing us moan about the lack of customer care, a couple passing us in the street, agreed with us, saying how rude the staff are. I think whoever owns this cafe needs to arrange some training. It’s not the first time we’ve had the same treatment, but today was the last straw.

Not good . Breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had cheap sausages , eggs were awful all to greasy bacon over cooked to a crisp, fried bread wasn’t even fried just a disappointing mess . Who ever cooked this must have been brain dead .

Myself and 5 friends went in for Breakfast/lunch and we nearly had to be rolled out of the door due to the ammount of food we had! Fresh, hot and good value!

During lockdown the cafe are offering a takeaway service which I made use of tonight. All I can say is thank you so much for what was one of the best Sunday roasts I have ever eaten. I was in and out of the cafe in less than two minutes (having rung my order through)and the food was piping hot as well as being very well packaged I especially enjoyed the cherry pie and custard and the price represented excellent value for money. A very well deserved 10/10

Every time we go to Mildenhall, Crumbs is our essential stop. Last trip wife had shepherd's pie and I had chicken and mushroom pie. Each meal came with cabbage, peas, carrots and potatoes with plenty of gravy. The vegetables were well cooked, which helps my poor teeth! I can't stand raw vegetables. Both meals were served on a large platter so loads to eat. Their coffee is hard to beat; best I have had in a cafe or restaurant in ages. Staff are friendly and provide quick service. Really feel at home here, as though I am treated as part of the family. We'll return again soon and tell others of our experience here.

My friend and I enjoy going out for breakfast every 2-4 weeks and we love trying different places within 25 from Bury St Edmunds.I always check the venue's reviews on trip advisor and having read excellent reviews that Crumbs cafe in Mildenhall served up a great breakfast with a friendly/excellent service,my friend and I thought it be a nice place to try but how wrong we were.My friends coffee was ok but my tea couldn't have looked any paler,must have been a quick dunk of the teabag so that was a tasteless cup of tea.Our toast was served a few mins before the breakfast arrived and it was already buttered so the toast was soggy when eating it with the breakfast.we had ordered the large breakfast and should have had 3 hash browns but after we had tasted one of them ,we both agreed to not ask for another one as they had a funny taste to them,the plates were not warm,the mushrooms although hot,were very bland with hardly any flavour,i couldn't believe how bad the eggs looked,just like they had been cooked earlier and left under a heater as they were only Luke warm,they did not taste good at all,the baked beans were just ok and only Luke warm again,both my friend I had the same opinion about the sausages,although served hot,we both said they were the worst tasting sausages we've ever eaten when having a breakfast away from home,they really had a funny taste to them ,the bacon was just ok but again,luke warm.My friend and I have eaten breakfast at 30+ venues in Suffolk and Norfolk in the last few years,a mixture of cafes,pub restaurants and hotels and we both agreed that Crumbs cafe is the worst breakfast we've eaten.You can ask why we didn't say anything to the staff and we can answer that by saying,the cafe was not busy and not once did a member of staff ask how breakfasts were,so much for the friendliness described in previous reviews.I believe this cafe uses the very cheapest products for the breakfast they serve up,hence it not being enjoyable.If the food had been reasonably tasty,warmer and cooked to a better standard,then I would have said,decent portions and good value but that was not what we got,a very poor breakfast and we personally would not recommend Crumbs cafe.

I have visited virtuallly all the breakfast places within 14 miles and this is by far the best. Good food, clean premises and attentive staff. Prices are also competitive and there is free wi-fi Well worth a visit if you are in Mildenhall

We made the most of the daily offer, that is by dining between the hours of 4:30 and 6:30 pm, a selection of meals comes with a free beverage! My husband chose the homemade lasagne, which is quite a portion and is served with a colourful and fresh salad AND a stack of chips! (Very tasty, he said.) Meanwhile, I asked for the gammon steak with pineapple & grilled tomato plus mushrooms and accompanied by peas and salad (usually served with chips but they were happy to substitute salad.) Excellent coffee and tea with the order was a nice bonus. We arrived at 5:30 and were served in minutes, which we appreciated. The whole place is always so clean (which is one of the reasons we are confident to return often) and the staff keep on top of clearing down & prepping the next meals required.

Tables close together and stuck to floor not the most comfortable - food alright and staff friendly - good options and cater for most peoples tastes - clean and medium priced

We were in a hurry as my husband needed to leave Mildenhall by 1pm to go to London and, knowing he wouldn't be home till the wee small hours, we needed a main meal. So, having used Crumbs Cafe many times, we were confident that it was quicker to have a good meal while in town, rather than go home & cook. Our confidence was not misplaced as we ate a main meal and were home within the hour. Husband had an all-day breakfast with added black pudding, while I had a superb lasagne which is served with salad and chips. I was content he had had a full plate and I had enjoyed my choice, too. The service was, as ever, friendly and efficient and it is great to be able to see into the kitchen area while the meals are being prepared. We commented on the smart new decorative tiling to the counter and are always pleased with the cleanliness of the premises and turn-out of the staff. The prices at Crumbs make it possible to eat here often and the choice is extensive, suiting all tastes and requirements. It is a good team who work well together, making it a happy experience every time we visit. When we visit later in the day, we make the most of the tea-time special selection, which focusses the choice and includes tea or coffee, all at a reduced price.

Great place. Very friendly. fantastic food. Always hot and very fast service. Good value. Been there a long while.

Best chips and egg around, huge menu, friendly staff, lovely jackets and sandwiches, milkshakes, coke, tea etc. Fresh cakes too. Loo is clean as are tables. Big breakfasts are the best. They also have proper home cooked meals on the menu, although I have never tried one of those. Very well priced.

We had a lovely breakfast and it was extremely good value for money. We would go back again if we were in the area.

Lovely food and wonderful service it has free WiFi. The cafe is very clean and the food is delicious and value for money. It's has a lovely family welcoming feeling

We use Crumbs on a regular basis, whenever we are going out for the day. The manager and staff are amazing. Crumbs is the only place I have been to where the food looks exactly the same as the pictures in the menu and tastes great always. My wife and I have never been disappointed, it is friendly, spotlessly clean, efficient service and excellent value for money. I highly recommend Crumbs Cafe, please try it on your next visit to Mildenhall, I guarantee you will become a fan as well.

Yo estaba fuera de la ciudad durante 10 meses y cuando volví el director me recordaba e incluso mi pedido! Suena extraño, pero tienen un riquísimo café, hubiera preferido una taza aquí que en cualquier tienda especializada.

Called in for lunch one day and discovered the best burger we have ever had, you really must try them! Service is excellent and so are the staff and owners. The food is very reasonably priced.. Would highly recommend.

Saw this advertised on TripAdvisor, so being in the area, it had to be done. Wow, what a selection on offer. With great staff and quick service, you can't go far wrong by coming here.

I come here with my friend everyone I vist proper decent food bubble n squeak is amazing potions are good too cafe is clean tidy the cud update it a bit have pull out chairs for more larger person it does look a bit 1970s but the food is very good

Visited on a whim, as we were really hungry and we were not disappointed. We both had a different All-Day Breakfast which were really tasty and great value for money. Staff really friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Arrived with family to this family run breakfast diner in Suffolk. The restaurant had an extensive breakfast menu with as many permutations for ease of selection! They will also accommodate any personal choices they've not thought about. Fantastic speed of service with freshly cooked meals at very reasonable prices!

Been here quite a few times and never had a bad experience. The place is clean the food is great and the staff are friendly, would highly recommend a visit

I often pop into Crumbs for breakfast when I'm in Mildenhall. There's always a good choice of fry-ups & it's very good value. Service is always attentive & very quick. The place is always busy, which is a good sign of it's popularity with the locals, as they serve meals throughout the day. Excellent for a coffee or for a full cooked meal, this is Mildenhall's premier value eaterie!

Not the best cafe I have eaten in, but menu is plentiful and service not badthe most annoying thing is I can't sit outsidehas people smoke which really annoys me

burgers are good here, but they are small. my kids liked this place a lot and the atmosphere is fun.

I stopped into Crumbs for breakfast recently. The cafe/diner is set up in the typical way for such establishments, but while its atmosphere is humble, the menu choices and portions are good.The service was straightforward and I was quickly waited on, and served. I had a vegetarian breakfast option (there are several), which included a veggie burger patty, bubble and squeak, baked beans, mushrooms, toast and tea, The portions, as noted, were generous, and the meal was no frills, but tasty.The menu also includes loads of lunch-time options, so the menus on their website are worth checking out.In value for money terms it is a good place for a hearty meal.
