Excellent meal and very good service from the new team at the Crown. I ordered the Brodetto and my wife had the baked pasta and meatballs. Both meals were very nice although we couldn’t finish the large portions. We will certainly return.

Just reopened two days ago under new management. What a difference. Extensive menu, wonderful food, attentive staff and compliments all round on the standard of the refit and decor. Well worth a visit!

Great service. Good pub grub at very reasonable prices. We went there on recommendation and were not disappointed. New management has had a positive impact.

Gorgeous food! Lovely to see this pub finally open again with new management, amazing lasagne on our first visit as well as a lovely Sunday lunch with huge portions when we revisited a few weeks later. Be warey of this business...following making an event booking in Sept 2023 for Feb 2024, when confirmed tonight that all was still OK, the reply was shocking. Event date incorrect, payment details on how and when to pay changed, and buffet and attendee numbers were incorrect. Basically the whole event details were not recorded correctly by the venue. When expressed my concerns and that I may now take my business elsewhere because of, their response was ''good''. Please see screenshot. Poor customer service and business

Went Friday for a family wake. Terrible service. The women stated as soon as we walked in that there was “no ice”. Shorts were served out of pint glasses and the mixer from the tap was still water. No toilet roll in the filthy toilets and sink hanging off the wall in the gents. When we asked why the vodka tasted of Bacardi we were told rudely “I don’t know I don’t drink it” when a family member went to complain about the buffet and service she was told we were loud and drunk. This is a village pub and it was a wake. We also left at half nine so were not late. The owner spent all evening huffing and puffing and pulling faces. She charged a fortune for the buffet which was poor and not worth the price paid. Place has really gone downhill

DO NOT GO HERE..they hosted a wake for us and supplied food was told it would all be fresh(yes it was fresh from the bottom of farm foods freezer) and charged £12 per head for the privilage we paid for 30 and got around 20 peoples worth made to feel very unwelcome after we pointed out the drinks were watered down and when they ran out of vodka tried passing bicardi off as vodka when we complained we were told its because we were loud (30 people in a pub is loud) will not return and would not recommend terrible pub terrible owners only gave 1 star as no option to give less

Have to say we’ve had a wonderful afternoon. They accepted our last minute booking due to us being let down last minute by the previous place we had booked. The staff were friendly and helpful and me being a wheelchair user nothing was too much trouble for them and an extra plus the food was delicious piping hot and plenty of it. Will definitely go back again without hesitation….. Thank you all for a lovely afternoon.

Told to pre order for a party of 7. Food plonked down despite one person not yet arrived, 6 mins after the time the table was booked for. Dont think they understand the concept of gluten free. Food ok, deserts awful. Charged for a meal of someone who couldnt come. Never ever again

We were a party of 21. The food was served so well considering the number of people being served the same time. Food was beautiful and service was brilliant. Would definitely return

Worst place I've ever eaten. Food took about an hour to come. 6 of us family members. Only 5 dishes came out. Apparently the chef had an 'oversight' and forgot the sixth dish. By the time it had been brought out the rest of us had finished eating out food. Daughters dish came without the beans. Sisters dish came without sour cream and chips. Grandfather ordered coffee and it came without milk, even after asking twice we had to go to the bar to ask. Were then given 4 pints of milk to pour from?!? But to top it off they added 3 pints of beer to the bill?? Nobody was drinking beer. Lucky we checked it all. £115 for horrendous service and bland food. And this is after they took £5 off the bill for the bad service. Waitress in la la land and lady behind the bar rude. Never again!

The dinner has gone down hill. No vegetarian option and still charged for two dinners to share veg regardless of single customers having the same amount of veg to themselves. Do not waste your money!

Fine last September but bad now Have used this place a number of times for occasional Sunday family get togethers. Today was so disappointing. Wish I had checked recent reviews before booking. Meat tough and cold, awful frozen Yorkshires, most veg mashed out of existence but some almost raw. None really hot Sorry C&S, wont be coming again until your reviews show you have improved

I can safely say the crown and sceptre is the worst pub that me and my family have visited in the past 20 years The service was disgusting and the woman behind behind the bar and who took our order needs to learn some manners and common decency in how to treat people, The food well the menu looks nice and thats the only nice thing I can say about the food if I worked for environmental health in neath I would seriously be thinking of paying a spot visit to the Crown and sceptre before they make someone ill from the food they are serving well that's if you can even rate it as food as if we are being honest I feed my dogs better than the slop they serve in the crown and sceptre, And when you complain you face attitude and point blank intimidation from the people who run the place This restaurant should come with a national health warning and an expectation of receiving a very traumatising experience and not 1 that I will ever allow myself or my family from ever experiencing again as I can safely say I won't be returning to that shambles

My god,went for food last night 6,30,me and my,partner, owner lady very rude and arrogant, £57 for meal, let's start ,obviously we are not rich, my partner is a staff nurse npt hospital, of 30 years, I work 7 days a week, we went there last night, I ordered ribeye steak, partner ordered ham egg chips, and bottle of red wine ,food came, steak was lovely hot,chips lovely hot,my partners ham was tough and didn't look to good, she ate chips and egg,I had cold pest and carrots to accompany mine, we so we what we could, no ham whatsoever, my couldn't look at it,anyway, being still hungry we ordered apple pie and custard which arrived cold, being still so hungry we ate it, paid bill and left, on way home partner said phone them and say about it,I called and the landlady awnsered, I said about the things I just described, and her reply to me was, I know who you are, now just f k off, we are both in our sixties, I totally appauled unbelievable, to spoke to like, unless you have money, do not go here, working class are not welcome, hope someone with a nicer aptitude takes it over soon, ruined a nice place, ide like to thank the landlady for discriminating me and my partner for being working class.

Called for lunch poor at best no condiments given with food my wifes steak pie was very poor full of gristle and fat, did complain was told chef would be informed but no offer of refund,my curry was ok but only ok will not return.

Living local and had many lovely meals at the crown and sceptre but booked a meal for 6pm today arrived at 6 pm and we’re shown to our table. About.fifteen people were there in total went to the bar at 6:30 to order drinks and sat down. Still waiting to order at 7pm. At 7:30 pm we had waited long enough and went to the bar paid for our drinks and left. 1:30 mins waiting and never even had our order taken. Definitely would not recommend.

Booked for 5 arrived to be told we had 2 tables for 5 people . Food arrived but we had to ask for spoons cutlery condiments . Food arrived not hot but we could see that it was not going to be great. We then asked for a dessert menu the waitress went off and then came back and said kitchen is closed . Then said only cheesecake left . WHICH IS IT . Kitchen closed on Sunday at 2 pm . Why take a booking for 130 if the kitchen closes at 2 pm . There should still be someone to do desserts . When I went to the till the young girl said sorry about desserts I would have done them if it was me . Don’t know why they didn’t do them . What a poor run place outside scruffy weeds by front doors generally dirty looking . We are publicans ourselves with food led pubs . What a shambles needs someone new in there to run it . My 80 yr old mums day out ruined by such a badly run place . We will not tenure and hopefully this will warn others . Sad as such a great place before .

As a perspn who has worked many years in hospitality the service was not great noone had one job to do everyone did not know who was doing what our drinks order was taken 3 times and still didn't arrive.. one person behind a busy...

Made many mistakes on the food. Old food on cutlery discusting service from staff and the manager even threatened his customers with police discusting shouldn't be a owner if he treats people like this

Understandably they disappeared during Covid but have now returned. The bass is excellent and really good value. Also the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Friendly enough but food was painfully average. Took ages to turn up and several dishes were cold when they did. All ended up eating separately. So basically expect super slow service and a too wide menu offering that the kitchen can't execute.

Booked table for 8.00pm food did not arrive until9.25. One of the drinks came in a lipstick smeared glass and second drink order didn’t not come so had to go to the bar and ask again. Gammon was ordered it was all fat with a very thin slither of gammon no eye of the gammon complained and the chef came out and said it was bought in like that from the butcher. It should not have been served to a customer it was not 8 oz and it was tough, absolutely awful .... when asked about why the food was taking so long we were told he had to change the gas and forgot about it ... the other two meals were ok so that was a bonus ... still charged for meal when only 4 chips were eaten and by the time all the fat was cut away - 6 very small pieces were rescued and the rest left as it was tough. Masks should have been worn but one of the staff members did not wear hers and came to the table direct no social distancing adhered to really, our table was so close to the one on our left that we were not even 1 foot away never mind 2 meters. Service was awful we went to the bar 4 times asking about how long the food would be and where were the drinks order.Will not be going back and it is a shame it seems like a lovely place just need more bar staff and help we were going to walk out at 9 ... we should have

We booked an outside table for 5 of us. Food always lovely and the new waitress was very helpful and efficient. We had a few different meals all were cooked well and average pub price. Enjoyable afternoon had by all.

Well there is nothing to say really, disappointed with the service providing, the food was just horrible and wasn't cooked. Just disappointing. I would come back but if it's not worth my time what so ever as the food and service is dreadful.

The proprietors do an excellent job of looking after their regular customers and consistently go the extra mile. I highly recommend their roast beef Sunday lunch. They excelled on Christmas Day providing a takeaway service when Covid restrictions forced closure with short notice. The meal was of great quality and quantity. Well done and thanks Rhian & Mike

Dog friendly inside ( which is very rare around NPT), all round enjoyable afternoon. Fab whitebait & off specials crab n lobster pot for starters & ribeye & lamb shank both with chips for main all excellent cooked & served.Would definitely return, not only cos of good food but the dog friendly bit did it for us as we take the dog everywhere we go

Visited here yesterday & what a fab find. We sat outside in their beer garden. Table service was provided due to Covid guidelines & the service was fab. We were attended to often & served our drinks regularly. As the weather got a little chilly, we were told we could go inside with our dog, as they had dog friendly tables set aside in the bar area. This is fabulous as no other establishment in the Neath area caters for dogs inside. We had a meal here which was of a really good standard. The presentation of the meals were lovely. We had the Crap & lobster pot & whitebait to start which was served with a tasty side salad & not just a few lettuce leaves. For mains we had the ribeye steak & lamb shank with chips. Chips were very good, crispy but light & fluffy. The portion sizes were very generous for all courses. It was great to have lovely homemade food, instead of going to one of the chain public houses in the area, that rely on the microwave!!We just thoroughly enjoyed ourselves & will definitely return soon. Seervice was slow and poor, we had to attract the attention of the waitress to ask for menu 45 minutes after the table booking time.Waitresses only brought 2 of the 3 drinks ordered (twice)Clearly not adhering to lockdown rules as there was a table of 10 adults eating together.The meal was nice but not exceptional.2 people ordered gammon but one plate was missing the mushroom and tomato garnish. Have visited here a few times over the paste few weeks, either for a quiet drink or for a meal. Always a friendly welcome, lovely food and good service. Can be a little slow but not in a rush anyway. Good system in place and keep to guidelines as required. Its nice to be able to support a local business who is trying to make the best of the situation that is hard in these difficult times. Lets hope they are able to survive with more restrictions being put in place each week. Good luck.

An excellent meal. Great to see pate back on the menu. Main course was mainly lamb with one having beef. A good portion of each. The veg filled the table. Roast potatoes, mash, parsnips, swede, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots ànd peas with a Yorkshire pudding filled with stuffing. Finished off with my favourite, a trifle. Staff are friendly and very helpful. A wonderful afternoon.

Four of us had a really tasty and hearty meal. Excellent service at a great price. Plenty of Covid precautions. Felt safe and secure while eating out.

Decided to book a Sunday Lunch for the first time here and we were not disappointed. The lunch was delicious and the beef we had was the melt in the mouth variety - they didn't skimp on the vegtables either. We had the trifle for dessert which was also gorgeous. If you have a good appetite, this is the place for you! We will definitely be making a return visit.

Saw some previous reviews weren’t great; however, great pub food, friendly efficient service (considering the circumstances ie global pandemic) and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Recently moved to Cadoxton so was excited to try out our new local, post lockdown! Our table was right next to a group of OAP's. Not even a metre apart! No masks worn. No track & trace. Now for the food... Rare meal out without kids. Waited 30 mins for our drinks (we had to ask for them in the end) and another 1hr+ for our main meal. Food very fatty! Husband was up all night being sick! Poor waitress rushed off her feet & kept apologising! Not very clean in there either. Disappointed.

Never again . Booked a table over a week ago as a treat for my mumMy dad sadly passed away in June and she hadn’t been out my daughters and myself thought we’d take her out for a nice meal . Table was booked for 7 we turned up promptly took about 5 minutes for someone to seat us at our table . The restaurant seemed quite busy . We sat down took a while to order our drinks there was only one young boy working and the poor thing was rushed off his feet . We ordered our food starters and main meal . Our starter took 1 hour and 10 minutes to turn up . We cancelled our main meal as we’d waited long enough . The poor boy who was serving was so stressed and literally running around . We paid at the bar and the lady didn’t seem at all bothered or apologetic that we’d waited so long or that we’d cancelled our main meal not even an apology . My mumWas upset as she was looking forward to her evening out very poor poor service especially from the lady behind the bar . The young boy deserves a pay rise couldn’t fault him he was run ragged should be given a pay rise he was doing the work of about 4 people

Absolutely Awful service. If you like waiting 40 minutes for your drinks and 50 minutes for your starter this is the place to be. Wish we had read the reviews below and we wouldn’t have bothered going, the lady didn’t seem to bothered and by the looks of it she was used to the complaining. Avoid at all cost!!!

I'm very sad to leave this review,we managed to get a table for 6pm we arrived a little early 5.30ish and was greeted warmly shown to our table outside,half an hour later drinks came and young lady took our order starter and main,starter came reasonably quick,then it all went down hill,when we arrived the restaurant was dead,by 7.30 we asked how long for main,kept telling us two minutes,we approached the management and the response was appalling!!!"so you don't want it now" she then told the waitress in front of us to "tell the cook to throw it in the bin" we had to pay £42 for two bottles of wine and two cokes she let us off the starters(how generous)never again!!!we left at 8pm,£42 down hungry and very disappointed.

We decided as a group of six to support local and six family members attended for an evening meal as we decided to visit all local businesses for a meal a week to help post lockdown. We had booked three days before for 7pm and ordered our food by 715. We were then told 10.minutes later that there were no Sirloin steaks. Order changed and all going well. The drinks order was not delivered so some 20 minutes later I went to the bar to re order and collect. 8pm came and went, 815 came and went no sign of our food. At 820 my wife went to the owner to ask how much longer our food would be. We were informed that the other two tables who had been waiting as long as us were before us. At 830 we decided to leave as we were told the reason was there was a big party in the rear room who had kept ordering food. It transpired there was no other party in the rear room. We left at 845 along with another 4 from another table who had also not had the food they ordered some 1hr 40 minutes before. The Pub was empty so the reason for the delay was far from clear. Not once were we updated or spoken too regarding our delayed food. No apology, No Food and Never again. Sad really as we were trying to support local business after such trying times but the service or Lack of it was inexcusable.

Just had our second Takeaway Sunday roast here since lockdown and it did not disappoint. 5 different types vegetables. Fab roast potatoes and fall apart beef Yorkshire pud with stuffing. Served piping hot with lashings of gravy. Up there with the best in my opinion.

Last night I celebrated my 60th birthday at the Crown and Sceptre and what a great night we had! The service was excellent and the food delicious. All staff were friendly and went out of their way to make it a good night for us all.Special praise for the young lad who served us. He was polite, efficient and constantly had a smile on his face. Would I recommend the Crown and Sceptre to others? Yes without a doubt. Thank you very much

Visited here for Sunday lunch with my parents, fiancé and daughter. We loved the enthusiasm of the young staff they had there who were friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was a proper Sunday lunch with good vegetables and plenty to share, we naturally had pudding after and they were superb. No fancy nonsense, no frills and it is just what we wanted. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely afternoon! :)

4 of us went for lunch last week . I must say that the food was faultless, but the service was so slow that on reflection we should have walked out . There is only one person serving the food and working the bar .

We went for food tonite I had hunters chicken and my husband had vegetarian tagine. Both meals cost the same but my husband's was in a soup dish... I asked waitress if it was a adult main meal and she said yes...at end of meal owner of manager sorry asked if ok I said mind was lovely but my husband's meal was very small in soup dish. He said they have never had someone complain about portion size of there meals I checked that's a lie.. he said people don't complain I said very nicely it was size of childs meal he just ignored me and walked away....I should of not paid and offered him true value of nral half price...please look at photo..the owner is so smug that he's not interested in anything his customers have to say... he thinks his pub is the greatest and a lot of times it prob is close but Is it worth taking the chance....up to you guys good luck....

Went with a group of friends against my better judgement after my last visit. I said I wouldn't go again but was persuaded. Two of us had the vegetable chilli and rice. My bowl base was just about covered with the chilli which was all dried up. My partner had a fuller bowl. I did mention it to the waitress to no avail. Any self respecting chef would not have sent it out of the kitchen. It was served with rice and Doritos, tortilla chips are not salty. Most of our friends had two meals for £12. Which would have been a fair price for the two meals. Ours was £9.95 each. We thought there was no offer for two meals for£12 for vegetarians, but it was pointed out in small letters we could have vegetarian curry. One choice among about six meal dishes! A very disappointing meal. When I say I won't go there again, I now mean it.

***Extremely rude chef***. We booked a buffet for our nans wake after previously visiting the crown and having several lovely meals there. The afternoon went well, however we had ordered too much food for the number of GUESTS and thus decided to take the rest home. My Auntie (after just burying her mother) asked the chef, 'excuse me, can we have some foil' to which he replied... PLEASE! Completely dumbfounded by the sheer arrogance of the man, we said 'excuse me' to which he replied 'Yes you should say please'. I cannot believe I witnessed such disgusting behaviour, to treat a customer with such disrespect for a funeral. I was hoping to make this pub my local but after the way my family were treated (whilst in mourning) I will never set foot in this pub again.

Booked a table for new years day when we arrived no table ready for us and the worst customer service I have ever experienced they clearly didnt want our custom so we ended up walking out and going somewhere else. It's a shame realy as we have been there a few times over the last year including mothers day but we wont be returning after this. Their loss as we are a group of 6.

Had a fabulous Christmas Day lunch yesterday in the crown and Septre Cadoxton. Excellent food and a very good choice for my daughter who is vegetarian.

Poor value. Went for Xmas day lunch after booking last March. Specifically arranged which table we wanted to sit in the restaurant due to my 93 year old father needing close proximity to bathroom. On arrival found we had been allocated a table in the bar. After complaining we were offered a table at the back of the restaurant which was totally unsuitable. Turkey dinner was ok but beef was so tough it needed a steak knife to cut. No offer of a replacement. Waiting staff were run off their feet due to lack of numbers. Won’t be going back again @ £50 per head.

A lovely warm pub. The owners have done very well to decorate it for Christmas and the landlady was very welcoming. Ordered cockles as a starter, that was a first for me but I certainly didn’t regret it. Also ordered the lamb shank which was cooked perfectly. Would definitely eat here again.

This is without a doubt the nicest Christmas dinner I’ve had anywhere ever. It was so tasty, great portions and very friendly service. I’d definatley go again and recommend to friends and family.

Firstly, I would like to be able to submit a review of the food regardless how bad the menu is but my husband and I plus few other customers didn't get to eat. Called to book a table only to be told we could only eat at 6.30 pm. That was ok. We had on arrival told to take our seats. As soon as the young waiter arrived he gave us the menu and told us to hurry up and place our order which didn't best please us. He took our food order, also drinks order. Ten minutes later my husbands pint arrived and was told my gin and tonic would be coming shortly, which we found odd. Another five minutes passed still no gin and tonic. Then some guy came over and just said we couldn't eat as the kitchen was closed ( can see why no gin and tonic as the drinks were on a tab ). Asked what was going on he just kept on saying kitchen was closed. Chef had a larger pre booking. He didn't seem to grasp that we had booked so had another 2 parties hence the " reserved " signs on our tables. But never mind,the menu is boaring everything on it can be cooked at home. The table was dirty to the point I was sticking to it. And plastic flowers on the tables ,why? And the most disgusting thing on the table were old dirty beer mats. My last thoughts on this place is to never go again. The manager couldn't arrange a piss up in his own slop trays. And how the hell did the guy who was obviously having a dickie fit in kitchen every get the grand title of a chef. Maybe it might be an idea for the people who work at the crown and sceptre to talk to each other so this never happens again.

Been here twice now and the service is really friendly and fast and the food is really nice would definately recommend the sunday lunches very nice

Went to the crown and sceptre cadoxton yesterday haven't been for a while was not disappointed lovely welcome from Rhian the landlady. There were was a nice atmosphere with quite a few other diners there. I ordered lasagne & side portion of chips my hubby went for steak & ale pie also with chips, we didn't wait long for our food to arrive....... It was fabulous& plentiful didn't leave a scrap of food on the plates that's how good it was, definitely recomend

Have been here several times lately and the food has been excellent, good value and huge portions, there’s a really good choice of menu there and the new owners are really good at their job, good conversation and lovely pleasant people....keep it up

We have not been here for some time as the previously very good restaurant had become dreadful. On hearing that new owners had taken over we decided to give the bar meals a go. What a difference - the friendly greeting on arrival, the bar menu provided promptly with a reasonable choice of food. We had the lasagne and scampi which were well presented and nicely cooked. Perhaps we'll try the main restaurant next time. Welcome back!

The presentation is poor, the food lacks flavour and doesn't seem to be treated with any care or 'love', the dining room is dull (and very full of flies), the service is poor lacking respect for the clientelé. I gave it two chances to be fair, the Sunday lunch menu and the evening menu and both were equally awful, whilst the place is under this management and more importantly, with this kitchen staff, I'll not be returning.

Friendly and comfy pub with great food. We ate hear on various occasions on this holiday and on previous visit.

Always have a good meal here. Good food and service whether just 2 people or 10. Have done both on many occasions. Haven't had Sunday lunch yet that's next on my list.

We called in here for a meal on passing by and what a treat we had. The pub is faultless - attractive setting, clean, fantastic atmosphere, great ales and food was delicious. I would highly recommend the lamb chops - the best ever. The service was quick and the waiter was very polite. The landlady made us feel very welcoming and we will definitely be returning. Well done for running a great pub. Also a bonus they welcome dogs in the bar area.

Called in for a quick bite to eat, I had the steak melt and my wife had the garlic mushrooms very tasty, delicious and reasonably priced. The place is clean and the welcome we had was second to none, brilliant and old school. We will definitely be returning to try the bar meals which looked great.

We are desperately willing for this place to succeed as we live locally but we had a meal last night and it was so so disappointing. There was a table of 12 in the restaurant so we had to wait 75 minutes for our meal although I don't quite know why this was the case as 12 isn't that many and they should have the staff in place to cope but it is clear they are trying to run the place on a budget.

Visited here the beginning of June with family for Sunday lunch. We sat in the bar area and were given menus as soon as we arrived which was great. There was a set lunch deal so I opted for pate to start and a beef dinner. The starters were served promptly which was great as it was very busy. The dinner is gorgeous and served with Yorkshire pudding, roasties and a large selection of vegetables. Drinks are ordered at the bar and this was so quick & easy. Sunday lunch here must be very popular as it was very busy & the staff were rushed off their feet. Definitely worth a try & would return.

Had a beautiful Sunday lunch at the Crown & Sceptre Cadoxton. A very warm and pleasant atmosphere, staff are friendly and service is great, we had a beef and a lamb dinner the meat was tender and tasty, a good selection of veg and cooked to perfection. My only criticism is the Yorkshire pudding with stuffing in, I don't like stuffing with beef any way, but if they were to make their own Yorkshires instead of using bought in ones it would be a 100% cracking lunch.

Went on a Saturday evening. Quiet at when we visited but had a lovely home cooked steak and ale pie, plenty of meat with a hefty dollop of creamy mash. Very tasty.

Decided that we would try the Crown & Sceptre for the first time after reading that it was under new ownership, and some very complimentary reviews on TA.

What a great pub this is. Called for afternoon lunch had the lamb chops they were absolutely delicious, full of flavour, succulent and plentiful. The landlady was very pleasant and lovely to. I will definitely calling again

Called in for lunch after work and the place was absolutely packed. Fantastic atmosphere all around and the landlady was very welcoming and pleasant. Had the lamb shank and it was delicious and theservice was excellent too. Will definitely be making this pub my regular visit after work. Would highly recommend.

Booked here for a meal 13 in the party meal was absolutely fantastic and dessert also there was a good selection of desserts we had a mini bus to take us and pick us up going home on bus everyone in the bus commented on the food and also the service and how relaxing it all was great food service and atmosphere was really friendly well worth a visit we will be returning soon many thanks all

Had an excellent experience at the Crown & Scepter Inn. Great neighborhood pub with good selection. Also needed directions and the manager was kind enough to assist. Highly Recommend.

Called in Saturday evening for a family meal. Could not believe how busy it was but with a great atmosphere. The lamb shank was delicious my wife had the home made curry and the loin chops melt in the mouth. Definitely will be calling again.

Service a little slow, but on saying that it was a busy evening. There was a good choice on the menu, and a full plate.

Called in for Sunday dinner today. Place was packed not surprisingly the meat was melt in the mouth and fresh tasty vegetables. Very friendly staff highly recommend and will called again

If you give the best quality, well cooked at a good price, presented well by friendly staff you will always be full .... perfect home cooked food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere 👍😊

Called Wed wasn't sure what it would be like midweek. Really lovely food chicken and bacon salad was so fresh and tasty, 3 of us had it and 1 scampy. Good prices all enjoyed with the friendly atmosphere of the staff.

Enjoyed a meal here tonight, it was absolutely delicious. Slow cooked belly pork, every meal that came out was well presented and definitely made me want to return and try other options. The young male who waited on us was probably the most friendly and polite, I have encountered, ever. Will definitely be coming back.

Stayed in this excellent pub, called in last night Saturday night and Sunday had the most fantastic warm and welcome from Rhian, the food was delicious pork belly to die for and Sunday lunch was just as excellent we’ll definitely call again even if for the warm and joyful welcome I had from Rhian.

Very nice pub grub served quickly and in a friendly manner. The food was tasty as was the sweet. It's really good value for money and the renovations of this old pub are delightful. I recommend wholeheartedly.
