First-time visitors and what a cracking all you can eat buffet. You get to pick from the menu, and the staff will keep bringing you whatever you want till you've had enough. Beautiful food, all cooked and served fresh. Definitely recommend this place.

We ordered buffet for two people. Service was very good but the food was not so tasty.

Many of the meals are delicious but the service is mediocre (one waitress has a bit of a stinky face and looks particularly cool)

Just had lunch here with family. The food was absolutely delicious and everything we had was tasty and looked great. Service was quick and efficient. I would definitely go back.

The starters were great. The main courses were awful. The place looks derelict fron the outside and very derelict on the inside. The toilets looked like they were from a seedy 90's club. Staff didn't really have a clue and were the rudest people you'd ever meet. Barged over you while you were eating to grab an empty dish. My advice is, AVOID

Living in Manchester myself and my husband researched where to eat in Leeds. We we were excited when we found this hidden gem. The food is absolutely outstanding and service is spot on. We could tell this was family run from their genuine passion for customers. Yes there is a little wait for food but it is cooked fresh to order so no complaints from us. We actually considered going back for our evening meal but we had another reservation. Never felt so welcome thank you xxx

Lots of food choices, buffet style but order straight from menu although they arrive at odd times so one person could gave had starter and on main before youve received your starter, cant fault the food.

Been loads of times before covid. Always packed & queuing at door and always lots of chinese in, but after last night will not be returning. Almost empty no chinese in and staff was rude and not interested. Waited ages for food and stuff came out at different times. So had rice and noodles no main course, so rice and noodles were cold when main course arrived. It was really run down and toilets dirty. Next day spent most of it on my toilet. Get it cleaned up crown buffet and sort your staff out.

So good!!! Came for some very authentic dimsum.You can tell that they are all cooked fresh!! We arrived around 2ish. Everything is a hit. We ordered from the menu. I was very suspicious when I first moved to Leeds cuz of the tacky exterior(sorry) thank god I proofed me wrong! After got recommended from xiaohongshu(Chinese app) that dimsums here are shown to be home made - not from frozen, I thought to come and give it a try.

Came here on recommendation by other Chinese friends. Ordered Three Roasted Meats over Rice for £14.50 back in October 2023. Great succulent meat on all three, crispy belly pork, Char Sui and Roast Duck and it was a generous portion that I couldn’t finish it all. Came just after 5pm so couldn’t order any dim sum, but so glad that I got this. If they do the roasted dish right, you can count on their other dishes being good too.

Shocking service they never answer their phone 2 days trying to call . Over 40 calls no answer

AVOID AVOID Where to start….. booked but didn’t have us down, got to our table, ordered 2 pint of Diet Coke and 3 half pint of diet, all came as full fat coke. We ordered 3 soups and chicken wings and duck, we got 1 soup and 1 portion of chick wings, kept asking where the rest was but no response, then we ordered mains and sides….. 2 chicken curry’s 2 fried rice 2 salt pepper chips 1 chips 1 Singapore vermicelli 1 beef curry 1 salt pepper tofu All of which were only sample size dishes, chips first, 15mins later 1 chicken curry, then 5 mins later 1 rice, all with gaps between! We gave up and said we weren’t happy, asked for the bill and got ice cream for the kids, the tofu and chicken curry arrived but the table had been cleared of the cold rice and dried up chips. The bill arrived £125……. Completely embarrassed that I’d brought my new partner and his children I didn’t dare make a scene. When we left my partner asked if I’d ever been before and I said no…… he said well won’t be going again, ended up going to McDonalds. Father’s Day ruined…. Thanks!!! AVOID

Very poor food. Had been several times previously, albeit a few years ago. The “crispy” duck was dry and not crispy, the seaweed had been sat around for hours and had gone soft and the wonton soup was tasted like cabbage cooking water. When asked about my experience as I paid.the manager didn’t even respond when I told him. Won’t be returning.

Mediocre food. Took a long time to be served inbetween orders. Average and wouldn't be wanting to return.

It's a challenge to rate this restaurant as it has good and not so good points. The shredded Peking duck is delicious. This is good on the buffet but can only be ordered once. Some of the dishes are plain and non-descript, the beef chow mein and one with cabbage. They just didn't work. Overall though the biggest challenge was the clarity of pricing and the value of the buffet. It was unclear that the price was £21 per person, not per couple. And the value of the food v price paid for a buffet is poor. I think it would probably be better to order from the nenu rather than have the buffet menu, even though the buffet is cooked to order. The sweet and sour prawns and sweet and sour chicken were good, the shredded beef was good, and the duck was good. Yet overall The buffet menu is not a product that is of value for the price paid. In all instances the service was direct, a little curt, and basic. But it was ok. The decor is basic so i think i would probably not return again. It is now a one-off visit without a return. There are other options in thw city centre which are good alternatives

Nice little all you can eat place. The dishes are small so you dont waste food but you just keep ordering amd the food arrives in a few minutes. Little bit like a cafe inside but if you can get over this its worth the money

One of the best dim sum places in Leeds! Highly recommend the barbecued pork cakes and quicksand buns The dry-fried beef river was a bit not too salty that day. In my impression, XO sauce carrot cake is also good The condensed milk silver rolls are also great! Great overall performance!

As a person who comes from Chinese mainland, I would sincerely say I don’t recommend this place to people coming from Chinese mainland and can’t speak one of the local dialects(I mean Cantonese). If you want to go there, you should carefully think twice as you are highly likely to be treated UNFRIENDLY. I have been to this restaurant twice and got terrible experiences Each time. Thus,I don’t believe these are the coincidences(not the same staff each time). The First time I went there was because of the invitation from my Hong Kong friend. When we came in, the serving staff initially spoke Cantonese to my friend. And I can feel she is very hospitable. But actually I don’t know what they are talking, so I said in Mandarin to my Hong Kong friend meaning ‘where will we get seated?’Then the staff stared me weirdly and started to speak Mandarin to us. And when she served us, she was very hurry and anxious. However, she treated the next table’s customer(British people)politely and calmly. And when we finish the dinner trying to inform the staff that we want to pay for the bill, no one is there and they are busy serving other customers.Just after we went out of the restaurant, my Hong Kong friend said ‘their service is awful. It seems that they ignore us. I am so sorry this dinner is not satisfying and I would never go to this restaurant again.” He also felt embarrassed that may be it is because I spoke the mandarin that they treated us not well. After this unpleasant experience, I still believe this may be a coincidence and went there as I am open-minded. I went there and while eating the food, I suddenly came up with a question and when I noticed one staff had finished serving next table’s customers, I politely asked her in Mandarin ‘how much is the buffet you provide’.When she saw me, she was glaring at me as if I have owed her some money. And very impatiently responded ’wait for some minutes.” And then she turned back,not waiting me say a word, and went straight to serve the tables far away from me for a long time. Then she came back and answered my question unwillingly. I can feel her intense emotion on her face and her tone. It was absolutely Discrimination.Thus, I asked in English’Are you Cantonese?” And she knew she was wrong but firmly and impatiently said’Yes. When you asked me question, I was serving other customers.”How valid an excuse sounds! And even not waiting for me to reply a word and she go to other tables to serve people. Her attitude towards Cantonese and other people is very welcoming, laughing and talking with them. But to me, it is totally different and reach to the unbearable point. One other Cantonese staff standing aside saw this scene and noticed that I was angry,even smiled and did nothing. She appears as if she was interested in seeing my embarrassing moments and stood by, without concern. It is ridiculous that A Chinese Restaurant which can welcome White and Black people, embrace Hong Konger, can not tolerant Chinese mainland people. It is unfair that people speaking Mandarin should be treated in a different way. I swear All the above are the true facts and I would say this restaurant is the worst Chinese restaurant in Leeds I have ever been to! If you don’t want to waste your time and ruin your mood, stay away from it as it is not inclusive.

READ THIS BEFORE VISITING This place is marketed well and has all the right content to make it appealing. However, the minute you step in the door, it's run down, mould on windows and sticky carpets. Food - Even though it's al a carte buffet, the meals arrive in the most random order. We ordered starters, some arrive and some dont. We then ordered kids mains which they gave us rice instead of noodles. Told them and they never brought out correct items. Kids wanted chicken wings, we ordered and waited and waited and waited. Irony is they arrived just as I was paying the bill :-) - Food is tasteless and my local chinese takeaway is more flavoursome. I spent £75 quid in there, £22 x 2 adults and £10 x 2 kids and drinks. Total waste of money as in the local takeaway i'd have eaten as a king for that money. - 1 star is given because their crispy beef was decent but the rest was rubbish. - If you're spending that sort of money, go somewhere better. Service - The chubby guy with red hair was ok and had good banter. - The thin lady around 50yrs old was rude and had an attitude problem. When she seated us said 2 x adults full price and 2 x children half price. They had a posted in the front saying kids eat half price but was a Jan offer, so we thought it's just old. When the lady said that, we thought fair play. Upon getting the bill, it was all charged at full price, when asking the question, abrupt reply was 'i never said that, i said full price for adult and the kids are half the price of adults!' what a clown. Anyway, i'm not losing sleep over £6 but speak with some respect. Toilet Avoid, no hot water. You might as well go wash your hands across the road.

** Avoid at all costs!! ** I had an extremely unpleasant experience at Crown Buffet in Leeds. The female staff member was shockingly rude, resorting to shouting and displaying terrible manners. She was defensive and confrontational. It's evident that this establishment receives numerous negative reviews, given the behavior of the staff and food not arriving!! We ended up paying £80for a meal for two adults and two children, half of our ordered dishes never arrived. To make matters worse, we received orders intended for other tables. After waiting for 30 minutes and feeling hungry, we had no choice but to eat the chips and egg fried rice without curry, to fill the holes in our stomachs abd feel like we even ate £10 each worth of food! Spent less in Six by Nico and the ivy and ate well with excellent customer service!! Gosh our local Chinese takeaway even offers better quality food and customer service!!! How do they call themselves a restaurant and pass food hygiene is beyond me. The overall experience was dreadful, and I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. The toilets were filthy, table cloths dusty and musty, the chairs uncomfortable, stained, grubby, and at completely the wrong height to the tables! The food tasted no better than a takeaway. The buffet menu was also disappointingly limited, not rly no buffet when they choose to just not cook items and fob u off saying its a busy kitchen tonight! I will never return to this place; it's absolutely horrible and dirty and staff terrible. Spend your money elsewhere, u will feel like u need to shower after sitting in there. Yuk!!!!!

Bulk standard dim sum place. Parking is limited, decor dated, and above all the current chef can't even do a proper fried rice. Of course, if you are not too discerning and just want a quick bite to eat, this place is fine.

Your rushed to order don’t even get to finish your food before they are taking away your plates stood watching you eat very small portions flys all over. Very rude staff!!! We turned up after pre booking a table. The short young chinese lady on reception was very rude no please or thank you upon greeting us! Just very rude like we were her staff or slaves cone to eat! So we let her know that she needed customer service training and walked out! Had Buffett food not eaten food can not be taken but get charge Wastage charge £8 for food that was disgusting chicken noodle soup I’d basically cabbage water , chicken sweetcorn soup doesn’t taste of anything … ribs very fatty …. Chow mein bland and just taste of egg noodles . Staff all wearing dirty mismatch tracksuits… and the whole place could do with a good clean.

Food was lovely well cooked and flavoursome and great service brill atmosphere and food protions we spot on would highly recommend will going again.

We ordered buffet for 6 people, and might be because this Sunday was bank holiday, but the waitress was putting the dishes down not in the best way (almost throwing them at us) and we felt like they were in a hurry to take our order when we didn’t even have 5 minutes to check the menu. After this ‘hurry’ time they were fine. I mean, it might be better to visit them in a normal working day rather than a busy day. About food, it was a bit cold but drinks were fine. Also, some of the staff were lovely. I think they could increase the atmosphere by playing some music.

This has to be the worst Chinese buffet I have ever been to ever. The service is absolutely terrible sat waiting around a n hour for food to get to the table. The food when I got to the table can only be described as poor quality ingredients and all the food was very salty in taste. Don't be disappointed go elsewhere. Food over priced for what was served. This was a Saturday night and it was very busy but if you can't cope with the numbers of people don't book so many in the restraunt. Ho and one last thing the toilets were disgusting.

Thought we'd give this a try without looking at reviews. Wish we hadn't now. Saturday 5.30 restaurant was jammed packed (which looked a good thing) 5 minutes to get seated. Young girl took order for food and drinks very pleasant but struggled to understand our order. We ordered 3 appetisers and 4 main meals. After 45 minutes out came the 3 appetisers along with two main dishes chicken balls, sweat and sour prawns and a huge plate of fried rice. After all this was eaten we waited another 40 minutes for house special chow main and Beef chop suei. All the meals large but were bland. My special chow main was not special at all. It had 3 prawns two bits of chicken and 1 piece of beef. Tasted like it had been cooked in fish oil. When the bill came there was an extra dish added to it. All together not the most pleasant meal I've had. Sorry but I'd avoid this place. However as we left their was a que out the door. So it must be doing something right, just not good food.

Went on chineese new year and it was absolutely packed out, service was a bit slow but it was understandable. If you go for the buffet and it us busy I suggest ordering a few things at once and if you want more order you next lot when your first lot arrives. The best Chinese Restaurant in Leeds been multiple times, and it's great every time.

Came for the buffet. Food was very bland when it arrived, took 15 mins per small dish to be served. Had to ask 20 mins later about our drinks as they was forgotten. The chicken was unpleasant looking putting us of eating it. I am writing this sat In McDonald’s.

Went for a buffet meal here. We were seated, and basically ignored for 20 minutes. When our order was eventually taken, we ordered three items but only received one. Drinks finally came half an hour after being seated. Despite seeing groups of staff standing around, and seeing other customers come in and receive food and drinks within five minutes. We eventually left after waiting 40 minutes for our ordered food.

I tried to call the restaurant to check my booking and the manager was so rude he blamed the noise on me and my bad English when I had perfectly smooth speaking. Never again

Very attentive staff, super quick and good food at a good price. Sadly we made a reservation which no one knew about though so had to wait 20 mins. Chicken chow mein and black bean / green pepper chicken could be more flavoursome.

We chose ‘all you can eat’ £21.99 but it was absolutely not worth it. The food portion was very small, the taste was plain and lacking freshness. As the picture shows we ordered scrambled egg with shrimp which supposed include egg yolk but it turns out they used leftover egg white, very shocking… We found one of the female staff rude and unfriendly. When we asked questions about the menu, she responded very rudely and teased us which makes us feel disrespected. She also deliberately ignored us when we attempted to place our orders. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and address this issue. Very disappointed overall and would not visit this place again.

Service - Service is perfectly fine, can the staff be a little curt sometimes? Yes. Are they nearly always rushed off their feet darting round this huge often totally packed restaurant? Yes. Atmosphere - At peak times it's pure hustle and bustle, some hate this some love this. I fall in the latter. Yes I have to talk louder than normal, but honestly it's all part of the experience. Food - Food ranges from excellent to average, just know what you're ordering here. This restaurant, I believe, is owned and operated by mostly Cantonese people, so generally I would recommend sticking with the Cantonese portion of the menu. I say generally because there definitely are some other great offerings from across the Chinese cuisine. Dim Sum - Generally I think this Dim Sum is ok, know that you're not in a brick and mortar Hong Kong teahouse who make all their dim sum offerings in house. These are mostly bought in and prepared accordingly in the kitchen with some exceptions. For nicer quality dim sum I would probably recommend walking up the road to Oriental City, however Crown has them beat on price. A La Carte Buffet - I generally wouldn't be going to a Chinese for the Westernised buffet options, but if I did then it would be to Crown. Why would you want a line of buckets of room temperature food when you can have them freshly prepare your order in the kitchen? Crown probably has the best buffet offering in Leeds. Cold Dishes - Now to throw out my commendation to only order the Cantonese offerings. The cold dishes, largely from the Sichuan region, are fantastic. Tripe in chilli oil, pig ears in chilli oil and the steamed chicken in chilli oil are all fantastic. Tofu with fish fillet - A beautifully sticky/dry tofu and fried fish braise is fantastic. Beautifully seasoned, just sweet enough and just umami enough. We order this every single time! Beef with mooli - Another fantastic sticky braise, both the radish and the beef melt in the mouth in a gorgeous satisfying savoury sauce. Fantastic! Stir fried lamb with cumin - Yes it's a little pricey, but it's lamb! More of a West China offering but absolutely fantastic, the cumin flavour is so unbelievably aromatic and the dish is perfectly spicy with gorgeous velvety pieces of lamb. So good!

Half an hour late than the estimated time and blamed the delivery man for the mistake and was rude and racist and not refund. Bad experience with the restaurant, will not order again.

Directly opposite the Hampton by Hilton. This was great value for money, the buffet was lovely and well priced, the wine was good and the staff were really friendly. Perfect for an over night work stay and a free bottle of wine after ordering 5 buffet meals loyalty card reward. Really recommend.

Never go there we went there lasted night 15 of us for a birthday. The food was warm up in the microwave I saw that when we was at the bar . The egg fried rice was boiled rice with a bit of egg throw in . The chicken wasn’t real My partner and one of the girls as had sickness and the runs straight after there got home. A takeaway Chinese is better than there. One good thing the female staff was brilliant

The place is called buffet but in actual sense it's not a buffet .service , food everything is trash if you doubt go in and see for yourself the worst.

I have frequented this Chinese restaurant many times, in my opinion it used to be really good value for money in terms of taste, quality and quantity, probably the best in Leeds, however, during my last two visits the standard has fallen dramatically in T, Q & Q, the prices have also increased, I have never experienced any rudeness from staff, you don't have to wait too long before the dishes are served. As for the restaurant's buffet, I am unable to comment on this, however, on past experience eating buffet elsewhere, I find Chinese buffet food to be a poor man's version of the a la carte menu food. If you want quality Chinese food order from the a la carte menu which is considerably more expensive. If you want to pay buffet prices and eat quality Chinese food, check out M&S Chinese meal box for two people.

Lovey front of house. Felt like they treated customers like family. Very welcoming. AND THE FOOD OMG THE FOOD. I had this cold chilli beef and it was so good. I had a Paruse through the menu and it looked interesting and authentic. even though my date was a catfish and walked out on me I ended the night with a smile on my face.

The service was poor & the language barrier was an issue with one of the main waitresses, so we struggled to tell her our order. My food was really nice when it actually arrived but some of my friends food was cold or luke warm on arrival. We still enjoyed our night but we were disappointed with the restaurant. In my opinion it was a lot better when it was a self serve buffet like most others. Maybe the restaurant owners need to consider going back to this??

The roast pork and garlic fried Chinese broccoli is simply great but its quite pricy. Would love to try other dishes. The restaurant is a little shabby but typical of a Chinese restaurant in this area.

My food was really nice when it actually arrived but some of my friends food was cold on arrival. We still enjoyed our night but we were disappointed with the restaurant. In my opinion it was a lot better when it was a serve yourself buffet like most others. Maybe the restaurant owners need to consider going back to this??

Good but not enough parking bays

Absolute favourite buffet in Leeds. In fact, buffet doesn't do it justice as every dish is cooked to order. Genuinely recommend this to anyone from a first date to a full family celebration.
