Shocking, unless you want 90% onion don’t bother! Hardly any egg in the fried rice and burnt noodles to top it off! How?!!!

Great food! Hot and fresh. Good quality chicken and crispy batter too in the OK sauce.

Iv ordered from here maybe 4 to 5 time normally nice but never again on the 8/9/24 we only ordered chicken curry with rice and chips my girlfriend come across a long hair in her food then straight after I did too and they wasn't interested one bit when we told them please I wouldn't eat here because they aren't arsed

Driest fried rice ever, pork pieces were tiny and hard, looked like they were old and had been chopped up small to disguise it. Beef curry had hardly any beef in and was extremely watered down. Chips were dry as a nuns chuff.

Really nice food and arrived on time, my only criticism is that my chicken in ok sauce had an insane ratio of onions compared to everything else, it was however very tasty.

The Gentlemen followed the instructions as asked and was very pleasant.

We recently moved very close to this takeaway so gave it a try. Tasty fresh and hot food. The guys taking orders are always friendly and welcoming. Our new Sat night family treat!

All starters (Chips, crispy Wantons and Prawn Toast were cold and soggy). Rice was just slush. Main meals were lukewarm. They are only a mile away!

Very disappointed. We ordered a takeaway to be delivered ASAP. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes. Although the food is generally very good, we will not be ordering from New Ho Garden again as this is the third time we have been left waiting almost two hours for food.

Been using this place for 14 year. Until recently the denied my order going through and asked me to do it again. Which I did to be told again it hasn't gone through and can I do it again. Promises of no charges as the order didn't go through to then be charged £120 for one order because it had infact gone through all 3 times. Had to raise a dispute with my bank due to them refusing and denying the charges

Again New Ho Gardens have let me down.. £20.70 for 2 meals. The meat in the beef & mushrooms tasted like something you would give the dog. Absolutely vile.. I'll not be using this place again.

Terrible. Bland, boring, gristly, greasy. Don't bother. Wish I had gone to Hong Kong Supercook like usual. Would like my money back, feel massively ripped off.

The best Chinese takeaway in town! We always collect and its never more than 20 mins, piping hot, and everything nice and tasty! Extra chilli's and cashews make everything nice and fresh! Don't tell anyone!

This is the last chance New Ho Garden is getting. I originally tried them in 2019 and they were excellent, but they've slowly but surely taken longer and longer to deliver - the longest being just over 2 hours!! Never again 😭

Had my first take away. Really refreshing, lovely food, didn’t have to wait long…. So pleased to have found a local Chinese take away that is really good.

The food from here is excellent, my only criticism is that they only accept cash, although I did hear another customer being given the opportunity to pay using BACS.

Just ordered Special Chow Mein, 2 portions of Curry Sauce and a portion of Chips. Its 7.00pm Friday evening, they are bound to be busy, so I went in person to order and collect. Special Chow Mein? The fact that it contained only 2 and a bit King Prawns tells you its going to be memorable for all the wrong reasons. There was NOTHING "Special" about it. Bland and totally run of the mill. But the fun did not stop there. Usually Chips from the Chinese are red hot. New Ho Gardens obviously forgot that. Chips that are luke warm are not fun to eat - so its in the microwave with them. But unlike Fish and Chip shops Chinese take aways do not use Maris Piper potatoes for their chips - so microwaving mine made matters still worse. And then to the Curry Sauce - at £1.90 a portion. A pale yellow gloop marginally thicker than water. The Curry Powder or paste was obviously just shown to this pale yellow gunge - it sure as hell was NOT added. Think Vesta Chinese meals from the 1970s and you are on the right lines. There are loads of Chinese Take Aways in Horsforth. I had not tried the New Ho Gardens since I sacked it for being awful about 6 years ago. But time goes on and these places change hands. So you think why not give it a try? It will be a good deal longer than 6 years before I go there again.

Lovely food for a reasonable price. Would be slightly better if the duck was shredded for pancakes! Lovely nonetheless.

My "go to" Chinese Take-away in Horsforth, although I usually order the same thing every time, Singapore Vermicelli, Chicken Curry & Spring Rolls. Good food.

Absolutely love this place. They have so many vegan options (where they make their own meat substitutes) and the staff is always helpful if you have a question about a dish. Would highly recommend to anyone desiring good vegan Chinese food.

OMG without doubt the best Chinese I have ever had. Crispy duck and bbq ribs to start fantastic. Thai style chicken. And beef szuchan( excuse spelling) egg fried rice and chips superb. Cant wait to go again5☆☆☆☆☆

This time had vegetarian duck with pancakes which was AMAZING. My partner had the meat version which he enjoyed. They were able to tell me about vegan options on the phone :-). Also had tofu and chinese leaf in garlic sauce which wasn't bad lots of nice tofu pieces in there only criticism would be I'd prefer it a bit more garlicky. Would quite like to try their other mock meat options if they are vegan too. Nice one! 👍

This is a brilliant Chinese takeaway, very busy at peak times. Honestly I can't fault them because they some orders may be late when they're busy but the quality of food is amazing. I've tried other Chinese takeaways in the area but this is by far the best quality food!

Iv'e made New Ho Garden my 1st choice Chinese take-away for the past 7 years and it constantly provides excellent food. If there's any negativity about the service, it's that sometimes the order can take a little while longer than stated for delivery....but the wait is well worth it. I can honestly say that i've never had food nothing short of excellent.

My favourite Chinese in Leeds. New Ho's range of vegetarian (and vegan) options are superb and I've been using them for years. Their meat substitutes are great and I've never had a problem with delivery times. Not the cheapest takeaway option perhaps but in my view, still the best.

Bang on food. Best in horsforth by a long mile. Is more expensive than others but the quality is far and beyond.

Delivery can be a bit slow and the menu, a bit hit and miss. The Special Thai style is out of this world and the curry too, was very good . The hot and sour soup was not like any other I've ever had and believe me, I've has ALOT of hot & sour soup in my time. It was full of geletine lumps, the colour was questionable and it looked like it had been put together from scraps of anything and everything; it had a very strange smell and taste too. Id ordered three and non of us ate it, for the reasons described. The kung po was also not like it was described on the menu and totally different from any kung po I'd had before. Its a real shame because I like to support local businesses but I daren't try anything new on the menu, incase I get surprise and it doesn't resemble what I ordered.

Great Chinese takeaway, lovely food and excellent service

Just recently moved to the Horsforth area and am delighted to discover this place literally a five minute walk or less away from our front door. The vegan/veggie menu is extensive and diverse. I had the Szechuan vegan chicken and the satay skewers plus fried rice, duck pancakes and chips. All were packed full of flavour. Staff were lovely the guy knew his stuff about vegan options. Going to become a regular here for sure 😊

An ok place practically on my doorstep ideal for when i get home late from work, and quite friendly, i didn't know this place exist till now be going again on late nights

I've ordered from this take-away just the once before and it was better than OK. Being honest, it's not on the doorstep so I would normally order from somewhere more local. However, the more local places were closed this time, having worked hard all day and with time getting on, I decided to go for it. What a disappointment! Over salted seaweed, over cooked prawn toast and a bitterness to the chow mein. Such a shame but I'd hesitate to order from here again though I know friends who do use the place on a regular basis. I've got to say that the delivery person was very polite and had legged it before I could tip him so very good on service.

Out the way but well worth finding great food

Ordered garlic mushrooms which were nice and singpore style vermicelli with the soya chicken pieces. My friend ordered a similar vermicelli dish. Both vermicelli dishes had NO sauce or spices on, were extremely bland, greasy and tasted of burnt oil-not edible I'm afraid. The guy at the till was lovely and friendly, so for the nice mushrooms and service it gets a star otherwise it would be a 'terrible' from me because our mains were so bad. Hopefully this was maybe a mistake? I hope the people at the restaurant can read this and make sure it doesn't happen again because it has huge potential to do well if it can rectify this. I’ve tried a few local Chinese takeaways and this has been our favourite. The delivery is always quick. Can order through Just Eat. The portions are always generous and I like that the meat and veg is always big pieces, not teeny weeny bits.

I've got takeaway from here at least a dozen times and it's always excellent. Sweet and sour prawns, special fried rice, beef chow mein, crispy shredded beef, spare ribs, chicken wings, spring rolls and kung po chicken are always amazing. They also do delivery and have always been reliable. I've tried a few other places in Leeds but always end up coming back to New Ho Garden.

Had to order from here a few weeks ago due to not having transport to get to Hong Kong Supercook. The food was okay but not as good as our regular place. Also, the delivery man knocked once and when we went to answer the door, he was halfway down the steps! Give us chance! Chips were tasteless unfortunately. One more thing, I ordered a large chicken fried rice and it came as a small. This has happened both times I've ordered from here.

Good selection on menu, only place that has gyoza. Normally get rice and curry sauce - could be less greasy- everything else we have tried is good and nice sized portions. Decent price too.
