The service we had from Cath Lee was brilliant, she is so lovely, and she will help if you need it .

not been able to take orders for drinks at the bar no signs to put you in the right place to do so nt good at all

Brilliant food and an excellent pint

Myself and a group of friends visited in March for dinner. Again the customer service was 5*. And the food was piping hot and tasted delicious.

Fantastic speed of service when it comes to getting our good. Good quality throughout.

5 oz gammon 3 oz fat 2 meat , asked for no chips , chips were put on plate, egg was snotty butter brought with bread told allergy to butter staff looked at you vacant when explaining, best brewers fayre I have found is abergavenny pleasant staff service and food exceptional no further visits to caerphilly crossways for us

Me and my boy had a nice breakfast apart from the black pudding was to hard to cut and the bacon was very tuff apart from that the rest was nice

Absolutely great for children, indoor and outdoor play area which is very safe. Staff and Place was very good but unfortunately the food wasn’t up to standards, eg, had a sharing platter and it came with 5 garlic mushrooms, 2 garlic bread, 2 tiny chicken strips and about 5 onion rings……. This cost £13 it wasn’t enough to even satisfy a snack

Disappointed & Won’t Be Returning I visited Crossways Caerphilly with a group of 8 adults and 8 children, and unfortunately, our experience was completely ruined by inconsistent and unfair rules regarding the indoor play area. One of our children was refused entry because she was less than an inch too tall, despite being allowed in on every previous visit—including just a week ago when a different manager was on shift. This inconsistency is frustrating enough, but what made it worse was that my daughter has learning disabilities and a mental age of 4. She couldn’t understand why she wasn’t allowed in when she had always been able to before, which left her upset and excluded. The manager showed no flexibility or compassion, and the whole situation made our visit stressful and unenjoyable. It’s disappointing that they’re happy to take our money regularly but can’t apply their rules fairly or with any common sense. We had been considering Crossways as a venue for my daughter’s birthday party, but after this experience, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere. We’ll also be looking for a new regular meeting place because we won’t be returning here again. Would not recommend if you expect consistency, fairness, or basic customer service.

Came here to eat with my partner and 3 kids.. first problem the highchair my daughter literally slipped out the bottom and got her arm stuck we managed to get her out but he arm was nearly broken in the process , I ordered 3 kids starters 3 kids drinks and 3 kids mains, was only brought 2 kids main so had to ask for the other meal and the burger was brought out with just salad and a bun( no burger in it)🙄myself and partner ordered steak medium rare, it came out looking anemic ( it was grey🤮) but some how was over cooked and dry? I asked the manager I believe she was to ask them to redo it and apologized as I already felt bad having to ask about where my son's meal was and the other not actually having a beef burger patty in it. They brought me a fresh steak and 2 fresh kids burgers which was a lot better and she couldn't apologise enough and offered a free desert to us for the inconvenience. So we ordered 2 ice creams for the kids and one each for ourselves.. they brought us out brownies for the kids and our Sundays weren't as advertised( Knickerbocker glory with lemon sponge layers and berries... again no sponge in it and was just horribly bitter and sour berries) safe to say it was a waste of £80 for terrible food and really small portions wish we had stuck to the original plan and went to Toby Carvery🙄

Gammon had so much fat through it was inedible we told waitress and ignored our comments awful

I’ve had the pleasure of dining at brewers fayre for both breakfast and dinner over the past four weeks, I have been staying in the premier inn and the hotel was booked with the meal deal. I dont normally leave reviews but i must say the staff are friendly, professional, and always willing to offer recommendations or make sure that my experience is great. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and always go the extra mile to ensure a fantastic dining experience. They make you feel like part of the family, which adds to the overall warmth and charm of the restaurant. Every morning, and every evening the breakfast and dinner options here are a delightful start and end to my day. The menu offers a variety of fresh and flavourful choices prepared by the fabulous chefs. If you’re looking for a place that consistently delivers on both quality and service, look no further. It’s been my go-to for the past month, and I can’t recommend it enough. You’ll leave with a full stomach and a smile every time!

Went with my hubby for the 5 pound meal deal, we both had gammon and egg. It was cooked to perfection, the fries were gorgeous, egg was perfectly cooked. Phenomenal value, why go to McDonald's when you can have a a fab meal for a fiver. The staff were fab ,our server was Catherine, she didn't stop and a lovely lady. Big shout to chef's aswell. We will be returning regularly. Sincerely Annie

Good food and great atmosphere for a family meal

Georgia was amazing, she helped me with the carvery and helped me understand what was happening as I’ve never experienced one. Food was amazing. I’ll definitely be back

Really enjoyed the food. Service was professional. I was asked of all appropriate dietary needs. Very friendly place. Lots of parking. Outdoor play area, and also indoor area. Staff are very child friendly and have a great relationship with my young son.

Food very nice, stayed at Premier inn 3 nights, ate at brewers fair 2 nights. Very disappointed they close the bar at 9 pm on a Sunday even though quite a few people still in. Am sure this will put people off staying at this particular premier inn in caerphilly. We would certainly look for somewhere else to stay. We are not big drinkers but there is no where else nearby to go. When on holiday like to stay out longer than 9pm.

Brewers fayre... does what it says on the tin.......

Been and had the breakfast a few times with the kids because it's good value bringing a child for £1. Only complaint is they are slow to top up items that run out leaving you with limited choice or waiting which isn't ideal with hungry kids

Didn't eat there even though I have previously and enjoyed it . I only stayed there one night, the signal for my phone is terrible and the tv channels are naff as you can't get all the channels like corbetts lane premier inn ,I normally stay at corbetts lane but travel to crossways for food as I don't like a carvery . All in all the staff are nice and rooms are clean at crossways ,it's just the phone signal and lack of tv channels that put me off the hotel .

I mean, it's like on par with a spoons but not as spoonsy

Lovely clean brewers fayre pub first visit will visit again

To start, drink selection on draught is terrible. Ordered food for two, only received one and had to go ask about the other, apparently it hadn’t gone through to the kitchen. Chips were cold and fish was grey and tasteless.

We arrived at 1.30 pm it was really cold on the pub so we ate out food with our coats on, food was good but could have been hotter, my espresso coffee was awful , still we enjoyed our afternoon reunion, service was very good

Didn't have food on this occasion. People there were friendly. Plenty of places to sit down and have a quiet drink.

Sitting here right now with family for a quiet birthday celebration on table 44 Table behind us has been outside with youngsters from local rfc very rowdy and language is fowl staff walking past not taking any notice at all We got two young children and an elderly grandparent with us and staff no battering an eyelid to their behaviour

It's the same old story with all these restaurants regardless of location. Sticky table tops, stained fabric on the chairs and uninterested low-paid staff. The food is very average, obviously cooked from frozen and bland.

Had a lovely meal couldn't relax as we paid for children to go in play area no supervision at all teenagers going in and pushing 6 yesr old away and terrible language on them and their parents Disgusted by their stance to complaints!!!

Jordan & his time are so friendly nothing to much trouble. We had mixed grills and the steak was the best we had in ages.

This place has shaped up now in terms of service, food quality and value for money. All these were excellent and staff are really helpful and friendly too. The pub itself could do with a refurb in places especially in the area where the TV is located but otherwise the premises are satisfactory.

Recently visited Crossways. The food was great. As much as you wanted for breakfast buffet. All staff were great but a special "shout out" to Cath and Georgia.

All meals where hot and freshly cooked. Very enjoyable.

Perfect place to take our little one, he ate his whole meal which is a rare occurrence! He also loved the outdoor playarea. Our food was also delicious and the staff are lovely.

We were made about as welcome as a methane explosion in an Astronaut suit!. Arrived at 11.40 expecting lunch as the website says its open from 11.30 am, but lunch not served until 12 midday. Ignored for ten minutes and had to seat ourselves as the staff giggled and swore loudly amongst themselves in the kitchen area. The tables, floors and menus were sticky from the previous night. The staff are scruffy in their attire, lack any professionalism and clearly aren't cut out for delivering great customer service. The irony of this is that I was visiting to purchase meals with a customer service voucher that was sent to me following a previous complaint regarding this establishment . Congratulations again Whitbread and associates, your an absolute joke!

Lovely staff clean and quick service lovely and hot food

Visited on the 24 August and made a point of speaking to Cath to give my compliments to Chef Lee. It's rare that my sisters well done steak is actually cooked perfectly and not burnt. The meal was absolutely gorgeous and so much so made a return visit on the following Wednesday with friends. All staff are so helpful and attentive. Il definitely be visiting again very soon.

Easy to find a table, didn't have to wait too long for food to come, when it did it was very good, only downside would have preferred chunky chips.

Father's day meal absolutely shocking. Dried up food, overcooked and the Sunday dinners were cold. Potato & veg were a bit on the hard side. Staff/management not really bothered tbh.

My wife and I eat like king and queen, the "all you can eat" cooked breakfast was absolutely scrumptious. Thank you.

Just returned from crossways pub where we had the carvery it was absolutely disgusting they put to much water in the gravy making its so thin and it lost all its flavour it was like eating food with a glass of water poured over it , my little 1 had gravy which just run off her plate all over her clothes and the other 6 people with us opted out of the gravy and had their dinner dry I had a refund on my meal and the others just managed so I had to sit there and wait for them to finish without a meal

Sorry to see a menu change with the vegan cheese and potato pie removed from the menu - i guess its a case of not catering for the needs of vegan - very disappointed

Lovely staff 👌 food good but poached eggs sometimes made in those horrible pan's , tasteless should be cooked in water with a little vinegar and tablets directly outside always dirty but saying that inside is always very clean including the toilets But obviously overall must be good I've been there a number of times and enjoyed it and will be visiting again soon Breakfast 😋😋😋😋

Food was OK (ish), portion control could be improved. Quality of food could be a lot better; my partners poppadom was like a soggy rag! Disappointed that a vending machine failed and they would not return the money! Wouldn't rush back here.

Pretty poor all round. Sticky tables and menus with no cutlery or serviettes. Food - just reheated ready prepared ultra processed food. We ate there because no other choice. It stopped us having nothing to eat, but that's about it. Staff were OK but no added value.

Catherine is one of the best waitresses we have ever been served by. Very polite and courteous. Breakfast was amazing. Deffo come back again.

Decent ‘fill your boots’ breakfast at a great price. Come quite regularly for a fuss free and quiet breakfast in the week away from the hustle and bustle. Cath who normally waits in the mornings is lovely and always super friendly and helpful and Mitch always cooks a consistent and reliable breakfast everytime - thanks team! ☺️

Food was terrible I wouldn't visit again I had fish and chips the fish was dry and tasteless chips were dry and cold worst meal ever and expensive

Loved the brewers fayre again as we were staying in the premier inn. Only thing that let it down was the lack of variety of cocktails and that the cooked breakfast wasn't a buffet on the Monday morning.

The food was slow and incorrect when it arrived. By the time my wife had her food delivered correctly, I had finished my meal. Wasn't very busy at the time either, so the chef was not busy with lots of orders. The staff behind the bar said they do it all the time and laughed

Went today for food starter cold and hard main meal cold chips hard peas. Won't be coming back

Good pub style food that's nicely prepared. We had fish and chips and steak and Ale pie, both delicious and filling. This restaurant is extremely popular with kids so be prepared for noise.

Supported an individual to have food out. Thought we would come here for a change. They bought my food out before his. I waited for is but mine went cold so I ate it feeling really bad as I was eating and he wasn’t. Got his food in the end. Long time after I finished mine. If on same table why not bring them out together. We did have to pay separately so not sure if this was the reason. Still made me uncomfortable. Don’t think I will rush back in a hurry.

Came here for a family meal. The food was amazing I definitely recommend the smothered platter the steak was cooked to perfection by Mitch josh and ehran. The host at the door was amazing made sure we had everything we needed and more. I think his name was Jordan. His staff was amazing nothing was too much for them. Will definitely be back!

An inviting environment for everyone, adults and families. Lovely children indoor play area, and outdoor play park. Food was standard, although served hot and timely. Children's meals are disappointing.. portion size far too small for kids over 5. Friendly staff. Expensive bar for alcohol. Good refill soft drinks. Overall a good experience. Another visit.. everything was of the same standard, although the indoor play area had an unpleasant smell which I informed staff, and was assured the areas would be checked for anything causing the odour.

Had the breakfast but very disappointed. Had to wait for the bacon, sausages etc to be cooked, then just enough for two people was presented (lucky it was empty). Only had the choice of fried eggs. Mushrooms were overcooked and the bacon was so dry it was black. Won't be returning.

Meals are tiny and not worth the money mixed grill is shocking for £20 steak was over cooked to well done after asking for rare couldn't even chew it never again

Expected to be busy on our visit due to half term, was seated quickly, kids were able to play both in side and out, food was served hot and quickly, made changes to meals with no concern

My husband and I have eaten at other Brewers Fayre restaurants and enjoyed fish and chips but both of us were disgusted with the batter and chips we were served here. The tiny amount of fish was dry and hard. Because we were eating as part of a group it was left on the plate so as not to spoil the evening. .

It was OK. Went for a breakfast in the week and lovely food and free juices or Iced water. Only prob was they forgot my mushrooms 😢
