Father's day meal absolutely shocking. Dried up food, overcooked and the Sunday dinners were cold. Potato & veg were a bit on the hard side. Staff/management not really bothered tbh.

Just returned from crossways pub where we had the carvery it was absolutely disgusting they put to much water in the gravy making its so thin and it lost all its flavour it was like eating food with a glass of water poured over it , my little 1 had gravy which just run off her plate all over her clothes and the other 6 people with us opted out of the gravy and had their dinner dry I had a refund on my meal and the others just managed so I had to sit there and wait for them to finish without a meal

Sorry to see a menu change with the vegan cheese and potato pie removed from the menu - i guess its a case of not catering for the needs of vegan - very disappointed

Lovely staff 👌 food good but poached eggs sometimes made in those horrible pan's , tasteless should be cooked in water with a little vinegar and tablets directly outside always dirty but saying that inside is always very clean including the toilets But obviously overall must be good I've been there a number of times and enjoyed it and will be visiting again soon Breakfast 😋😋😋😋

Food was OK (ish), portion control could be improved. Quality of food could be a lot better; my partners poppadom was like a soggy rag! Disappointed that a vending machine failed and they would not return the money! Wouldn't rush back here.

Pretty poor all round. Sticky tables and menus with no cutlery or serviettes. Food - just reheated ready prepared ultra processed food. We ate there because no other choice. It stopped us having nothing to eat, but that's about it. Staff were OK but no added value.

Catherine is one of the best waitresses we have ever been served by. Very polite and courteous. Breakfast was amazing. Deffo come back again.

Decent ‘fill your boots’ breakfast at a great price. Come quite regularly for a fuss free and quiet breakfast in the week away from the hustle and bustle. Cath who normally waits in the mornings is lovely and always super friendly and helpful and Mitch always cooks a consistent and reliable breakfast everytime - thanks team! ☺️

Food was terrible I wouldn't visit again I had fish and chips the fish was dry and tasteless chips were dry and cold worst meal ever and expensive

Loved the brewers fayre again as we were staying in the premier inn. Only thing that let it down was the lack of variety of cocktails and that the cooked breakfast wasn't a buffet on the Monday morning.

The food was slow and incorrect when it arrived. By the time my wife had her food delivered correctly, I had finished my meal. Wasn't very busy at the time either, so the chef was not busy with lots of orders. The staff behind the bar said they do it all the time and laughed

Lovely breakfast again. Good selection, good cooked well. Cath, our server, was very friendly. Nice and quiet early on a Monday morning. We’ll be back I’m sure.

Good pub style food that's nicely prepared. We had fish and chips and steak and Ale pie, both delicious and filling. This restaurant is extremely popular with kids so be prepared for noise.

Supported an individual to have food out. Thought we would come here for a change. They bought my food out before his. I waited for is but mine went cold so I ate it feeling really bad as I was eating and he wasn’t. Got his food in the end. Long time after I finished mine. If on same table why not bring them out together. We did have to pay separately so not sure if this was the reason. Still made me uncomfortable. Don’t think I will rush back in a hurry.

Came here for a family meal. The food was amazing I definitely recommend the smothered platter the steak was cooked to perfection by Mitch josh and ehran. The host at the door was amazing made sure we had everything we needed and more. I think his name was Jordan. His staff was amazing nothing was too much for them. Will definitely be back!

Had a family meal here this evening. The food was piping hot by Georgia and presented lovely. Customer service was 5* as always

An inviting environment for everyone, adults and families. Lovely children indoor play area, and outdoor play park. Food was standard, although served hot and timely. Children's meals are disappointing.. portion size far too small for kids over 5. Friendly staff. Expensive bar for alcohol. Good refill soft drinks. Overall a good experience. Another visit.. everything was of the same standard, although the indoor play area had an unpleasant smell which I informed staff, and was assured the areas would be checked for anything causing the odour.

Had the breakfast but very disappointed. Had to wait for the bacon, sausages etc to be cooked, then just enough for two people was presented (lucky it was empty). Only had the choice of fried eggs. Mushrooms were overcooked and the bacon was so dry it was black. Won't be returning.

Went for all you can eat breakfast and it was really nice.

Meals are tiny and not worth the money mixed grill is shocking for £20 steak was over cooked to well done after asking for rare couldn't even chew it never again

This was a breakfast visit having stayed at the Premier Inn, the lovely lady who welcomed me and my family were so nice, very attentive, informative and super friendly, food was hot, cooked to order and very good quality, a great experience, thank you 😊

My husband and I have eaten at other Brewers Fayre restaurants and enjoyed fish and chips but both of us were disgusted with the batter and chips we were served here. The tiny amount of fish was dry and hard. Because we were eating as part of a group it was left on the plate so as not to spoil the evening. .

Always greeted with a friendly, welcoming face. All the staff are very accommodating and helpful. The latest appointed manager Jordan, is just simply a credit to the company. He always takes time to speak to the customers and nothing is too much trouble. I appreciate the fact that some reviews are somewhat negative, but I know from experience, that if there is an issue, just simply raise your concern with a member of staff and it will be rectified in a professional, compassionate manner. If you don't ask, you won't get! We've been to many Brewers Fayre's over the years, but never felt so looked after, more than the Caerphilly establishment. Thanks to all the staff.

Great for a breakfast date. They have such a range of choices, from cooked breakfast to continental - you’ll find something you love. Cooked breakfast was loaded with bacon, hash browns, black pudding, sausages, eggs (4 ways!), mushrooms, tomato, beans and toast - options for V too! Continental included pastries, pancakes, cereals, yogurts and fruits. You get unlimited tea, coffee & juice (orange, apple & cranberry) with the breakfast deal too. Cath was an excellent host! We’ll be back again.

Lovely place to enjoy a very reasonable priced meal, being a Friday night it was busy and the staff were run rugged, us being a party of 12 still had a very enjoyable evening. We found the food delicious, good portion sizes and staff accommodating and friendly. And I shout out to Jordan, thank you for helping us with the menu choices!! Our serving staff were also extremely helpful as a member of our party had a nut allergy and all his food was prepared and cooked separately….. Well done Crossways !!

Food was fantastic, I ordered rump steak and then had a brownie dessert. Steak melted in my mouth, chips cooked perfectly and the brownie was just simply scrumptious. Hats off the the cooks, Luke, Georgia, caitlin and mel.... you put the love in your food. Fantastic service and the servers amy, charlotte and Jayne were amazing. Thank you!

Lovely pub food. I did find my toddler struggled with some parts of the soft play as it was quite hard on the feet.

Visited on 3 occasions. All occasions food was cold, burnt and practically inedible. Staff never look happy and not very clean.

Shame to say but there was a delay on the food for over an hour and it wasn't worth the wait . Sure it was a one off but also no excuse

Food was enjoyable but not fantastic as meats wasn't cooked to requested requirements. Food was brought out to some of the parties, and they were almost finished by the time other parties received they're food. Asked for children's desert which was pre-ordered and yet had to wait a good 20 minutes for it to arrive. First and last time of going to Caerphilly Branch.

Lovely place for families for young children. plenty of room for bigger celebrations and staff very accomodating. Lovely beer garden with climbing frames. excellent. Food is goid and service excellent. All round a lovely place. We visit frequently and would definitely recommend.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon pub was busy as one would expect. However there was a lack of staff which resulted in queues at every counter. Expected better!

Ok to take the children to play but food aint the best

Walked in and was expecting a great service, similar to that of beefeater, NOT AT ALL! same menu and price so I just assumed, silly me. We were taken to the till immediately to pay, even before having food which we found very odd. My partner is vegetarian, she was asked how many sausages and then shown to our seats. We made a cup of tea reluctantly after getting a server to clean the spoon cup as it was filthy in the bottom, no labelling so unsure what was clean or dirty, coffee machine was broke. My partner went to get toast and the server brought over 3 veggie sausages on a plate. WELL I guess we are going to get food then! Up we go, my partner got what she wanted very limited selection from a buffet style layout, I asked for 3 poached eggs and was told 10 minute wait time, WELL back to our table we go, my partner is eating while I'm waiting, I get bored and return to get food, I'm waiting for bacon, black pudding and eggs still 😴 I pick up the mushroom spoon that was on the floor, and put it on the counter behind the food. Server brings out black pudding and bacon from dirty looking plastic yellow and white containers 🤮 and empties them into trays by tipping them upside down 👀 the black pudding was absolutely dry and over cooked and the bacon didn't looks great either, the server takes the dirty spoon and puts it back in the mushrooms before I could stop him, I advise what happens and he takes the spoon away but not the mushrooms! Lovely, I mean rude lady comes out and she has my poached eggs 🎉 I look at them and there is only 2 and they are WELL DONE I can see they looked boiled. I refuse to eat, I return to the table and my partner eats her food. I go to the till to get a refund and tell a young boy who brings out the very rude woman, she doesn't talk to me processes a refund "PUT CARD INTO MACHINE" she says I do then call her rude and we leave. Worst service and food every absolutely disgusting 🤢 never ever again, first and last time!

Got to say, really good place to eat, if vegetarian I suggest the no smothered chicken, was absolutely fantastic, service was brilliant too and really enjoyed our meal. 10 out of 10 easily

Good pub grub, reasonably priced food that was tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. As an added bonus the onions were home made and I'd recommend getting an extra portion. Staff were friendly and approachable. No issues with orders and plenty of sauces were provided so no issues there.

Variety of seats inside and outside Indoor and outdoor play areas for children, kids loved this! Food portions seemed small but tasted nice and fast service from the workers The restraunt seems a bit run down and needs some work to freshen up a bit, especially the toilets.

Went for lunch on a gloriously hot day. Sat in the garden with my sister and my toddler granddaughter. The food was lovely, and the way they presented the toddlers' pizza was great. It was cut into neat triangles, with sides. Cath was so efficient and helpful, as usual. My only criticism on the day was that the play apparatus was absolutely scorching and dangerous. The park should have either been closed due to a very hot slide or needed to have a shelter to shade it. Luckily, I tested the slide and stopped the toddler going on. However, this upset her and wasn't fair.

Absolutely disgusting the tables are sticky the menus are going to be the start of the next pandemic and the food is rancid and cold and to top it all off the staff are rude and clearly don't care do yourself a favour and see what's in McDonald's bins instead it will be more hygienic

Really abysmal experience of breakfast. No food in the buffet breakfast or the continental breakfast area for long periods. No cups or glasses for drinks. Very long queues because of this with people complaining and asking for their money back. Felt really sorry for the two poor working girls who were taking the flack who were doing their best. Severely under staffed.

Cooked food really good and fresh. The continental was well stocked and there is a good choice of cereals and juices. The coffee is pretty good as well. Unlimited breakfast £9.99 each. Not bad value. Will definetly visit again and highly recommend.
