Thursday night is open Mike night. Listen play sing. It’s a bloody good night Every weekend is a party, bored! Ask Rachel to put the karaoke on. Listen to local live music on a Saturday night. Play pool, fussball, watch live sport, lots of table games for children and adults.

Very traditional old pub with lots of history. Very friendly staff always a warm welcome and made to feel right at home. Good selection of ales, guest beers, lagers, and wine. Plenty of car parking spaces and a large beer garden that overlooks the Trent, it's always kept clean and tidy.

Cracking pub, Jacquie the landlady is a wonderfully warm and welcoming person. Myself and my partner enjoyed the open mike night, some fantastic musicians, even had a go myself. Look forward to visiting again, more Guinness and hopefully will sample the food next time!

Had been invited to meet up with friends for Thursday night open mic. Not sure what to expect but an excellent evening. Jackie landlady exceptional hostess, very welcoming and remained so throughout the evening. Open mic very gentle easy to listen to guitar and singers. Dog friendly and a couple of good ales. Great evening not that many on the night we went so come on folks support Thursday evening well any evening Jackie will be pleased to see you.

To start with Jackie you are an angel anyone who makes there customers feel so wellcome as you do its worth a visit alone we felt like part of the family ,so relaxed chilled out amazing, as is the food, I went to try Italian and see food, had starter and main muscles and see food pasta, wow and Tracey had Italian style pork she was enjoying that, she had to doggy bag what was left but didn't see it home picking daughter up from nursing shift after she soon sniffed that out on way home she said how amazing it was and got to visit, there's a little bit of a wait for food because it's all freshly prepared no ping food about it and very well priced, lovely oldy cozey place,recommend to anyone go make a night of it plenty comfy sofas to chill.All in all amazing place very polite and caring staff .off the beaten track for us but God its worth it, thanks all for lovely chilled out night see you again soon.

I had an amazing experience here. Food was amazing, if you like Italian food you will definately like it as there is a good range. I had a home made beef burger and it was fantastic. Nice country pub with entertainment sometimes makes this place very homely.

This is a great restaurant \pub, the staff are so friendly , an nothing is too much trouble , we stayed in our motorhome overnight , the food is great , especially the the homemade pizzas , an the sunday dinners are lush , highly recommended this 👍👍😊😊

A great thursday evening. Arrived early and had a tasty homemade steak pie with chips and peas then stayed on for the well supported open mic night. A great evening with a mix of different musicans playing a range of music. Definitly recomend

Watch Dog Day Afternoon ( Top band), inbetween spots were treated to an amazing, free, cooked buffet by the staff!! Very crowded but totally understand why!!!

Called on way today as we were few miles away and lady sounded lovely. when we arrived she knew it was us. Friendly, warm, cosy & sofas and lighting to die for for a night in your local.. I'd love this as my local. Food was bloody lovely 😍 defo visit again

What a little gem of a pub. The landlady Julie is really lovel...you can tell she loves what she does. I was meeting someone there so only had a chip butty. I say only, the triple cooked chips were wonderful. There is an extensive Italian menu which looked very tasty indeed. Has a good sized beer garden with brollies. Will definitely be returning. Also has a good sized car park

Absolutely brilliant well worth a visit

This pub is so lush, oldie worldly and the staff are very welcoming...my partner and I visits regularly! { this is my first post } This pub has gone from strength to strength, I have lunch yer quite often and, the food is fabulous... the homemade pies are delicious with a great choice of fillings, the chilli and the triple cooked chips are so lush...my partner and I, Son and his partner went yesterday [ Fri ] and they do fish & chips night and, it was amazing, beautiful beer batter on the fish and, the best we have tasted...The desserts are gorgeous too 👍Thank you to all the lovely staff and excellent service, see you all again very soon 😷

Been back since my last review and would like to re evaluate my last review of 3 stars. the staff are lovely and very down to earth easy to talk to and get along with. We even tried their meals which I have to say was amazing 👏 the chilli was exceptional best i have had in a long while the only improvement I would say to give a 5 star would be more drink selection but during these times we are in it is understandable each time I go this place seems to keep getting better

A lovely historic pub with an open fireplace and comfortable seating. Disabled facilities and a large beer garden to the rear. Ample parking spaces. Great food choices with seasonal menus. And dog friendly. A great stopping off point for cyclists, bikers and hikers. A warm and friendly welcome from the landlady who served some great real ales at a very reasonable price. The wooden beams and pleasant decor gave this pub an old world charm harking back to how a village pub once was. I recommend a visit and like myself you will find yourself returning again and again.
