Cristal Restaurant at Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort in Renfrewshire

Came for an overnight and had the dinner package. Food is well priced and gorgeous, the service is excellent. The wine choice and cocktails are tremendous. Well worth a visit. We will be back

Beautiful surroundings, professional waiting staff who were very attentive. Food was tasty and presented wonderfully.

I booked this as a belated Mother’s Day lunch being unable due to Covid restrictions to celebrate on the actual day. We arrived to find out there was an issue with the booking in that we were the only table booked and asked if we minded sitting in the bar. As the tables at the bar were too low for my mum to comfortably eat a Sunday roast and it was a celebratory lunch, we asked if we could eat in the restaurant. A couple of minutes later a table was sorted for us and we were seated. The menu was simple - two starter options, the roast itself and three desserts. I started with the smoked salmon and my husband and mum had the pate. The smoked salmon was delicious, not at all greasy and not too strong. Judging by the two empty plates either side of me, the pate was delicious too! The roast sirloin of beef was cooked just right- pink and tender but not bloody. The Yorkshire pudding was huge and the jus was stunning. I’d have been happy with a cup of it! I opted for the cheese selection for dessert while the others had Creme Catalana. Again, clean plates all round but by now we were too full for the planned after lunch cocktail so we headed out for a walk around the grounds and admire the stunning scenery. To a person the staff who served us were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Our waiter, Mark was faultless. I can only imagine it must be hard for the wait staff working under constantly changing restrictions but they were a great advert for Mar Hall. We will definitely be back. Many thanks.

Service from the young man at the bar was good he was very friendly and chatty. I was very much looking forward to the meal in the Cristal, given its a 5 star hotel, I think. The service was alright, you could tell they were a bit under pressure. I wouldn’t say the staff were overly friendly but they didn’t have time to have any small talk. It was quite robotic to be honest, it was as if they really didn’t want to talk to you. I had the scallops to start and they were lovely, my friend had the pate/parfait and it was tasteless and we are big fans of pate. Onto the mains my friend had the venison it looked as if it was cooked perfectly however it was served with beets and peanut butter which totally overpowered the lovely venison. It didn’t state peanut butter on the menu so we were quite surprised when it was on the plate and it didn’t go. I had the lamb rack and potato gratin and it was nice. Nothing spectacular. For the dessert we opted for the cheese and you can’t go wrong with that, just not enough crackers to go with but the almonds served with the cheese were very tasty. they don’t seem to have salted butter anymore and the butter they do have comes straight from the fridge so you can’t spread it on the bread or crackers. My friend had the dark choc & praline cremeux which was hugely disappointing, seemed as though it had melted on the plate and was just a pile of melted chocolate. I remember the restaurant used to offer a selection of breads and they were warm it was so nice with salted butter but they don’t do that anymore. We had coffee in the hall and the coffee isn’t good! Overall I would say it was mediocre and I expected a lot more. If they worked on the small things it could be much better, spreadable butter, nice warm bread, not so robotic service, tasty mouth watering food, better crackers for the cheese and nicer coffee I’d go back.

With covid-19 the evening meals are in the room at the far end of the Hotel - in the room where weddings would take place. This is a great rom with wonderful views. The limited menu for the season means if you stay more than four nights and you have eaten all on offer. Great service and food. The tables were well spaced out and despite the wearing of masks, we managed to talk with those serving.

Did not stay in the Hotel, but ate in the Cristal Restaurant. Food awesome, staff lovely, what refreshing change. Shame we are here during Covid mask wearing. Hope the hotel continues with its successful presentation of what is available.

My husband and I came for dinner and were so very disappointed with the quality of the food. The setting and atmosphere of the restaurant couldn’t be faulted and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The food however, left you longing for the greasy pub grub you could find down the road. From the limp, lacklustre salad to the rubbery, over cooked (and probably pre frozen) cod for mains, I had nothing positive to say about the kitchen at this supposed 5 star resort. Stay for the spa but not the scran.

This was billed as fine dining. It was not. Mar Hall is a beautiful building with a grand entrance as you approach the restaurant. Unfortunately there were several bar tables left uncleared of food and drink - on a Saturday evening. This did not set a good impression. We were told we’d be in the Cristal restaurant- don’t think we were judging by photos on trip advisor! A lovely room but huge, cold and zero atmosphere. Service was friendly but slow - lots of apologies. Waited 20 minutes for our first drink - which I had to send back - Aperol with no spritz! So waited again by which time we’d had 2 of our 6 tasting courses. My partner ordered a soft drink - arrived in a tennents glass - hardly fine. The food was ok at best. Veloute was lovely. Won’t be back.

Excellent experience all round. We visited the Cristal Restaurant at Mar Hall recently for the seasonal tasting menu, which was a Christmas gift. The staff were all very friendly and professional from beginning to end. Every one being a credit to Mar Hall. We were asked if we were happy with the menu and as my husband doesn’t like fish, they happily substituted a couple of courses. All the courses were beautifully presented and tasted even better. Compliments to the chef/kitchen team behind the scenes, it was a lovely varied tasting menu. Although the portions looked small on the plate (it IS a tasting menu after all), we were both really full by the end of the meal. So much so, that I grudgingly had to pass over half my dessert to my husband. We couldn’t fault a thing. We had the most delightful time and hope to return soon.

I booked dinner here for 6 people knowing we might have to cancel at short notice. The lady I spoke with was so accommodating and hospitable despite knowing I was using prepaid vouchers,that were a very good offer. We changed the booking slightly at the last minute, no problem whatsoever. We really appreciated the help. The welcome was so warm and genuine that we felt most appreciated and spoilt. Our food was fabulous as were the drinks and service. Zac, our waiter was exceptional. And it was hard to standout, as all the staff were great. However, his pride in his place of work and the enjoyment he gets from serving well makes him a credit to Marr Hall and Scotland. A proper Scottish welcome, from the heart. We all agreed it was a relaxing, welcoming, non pretentious, excellent value for money experience with very good food, beautifully prepared and presented. We look forward to returning very soon. Heartfelt thanks for a very memorable evening. Ps. The Irish coffees were declared the tastiest ever by our parents.

Booked lunch for 4 people and we were very excited to be going to such a grand place. On entering we were greeted with the smell of food as you usually find in an old folks home or a canteen. This was not pleasant. As we were shown to our seats we passed a room with the door ajar where there were silver containers for keeping food warm. I then realized this was where our lunch would be coming from. Our starter were ok and portions quite large. The main unfortunately which we all had was very disappointing. Roast beef was delicious and perfectly cooked for me. Soft and melting meat. The gravy was over salted. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were like bricks. Other veg was fine. Two of the party ordered the biscuits and cheeses at £12 extra. Not value for money. All in al I would not go back. Can’t believe they have 5 stars.

4 of us went for the 6 course Tasting Menu at £59/couple. These 6 courses were an sample of the main menu in the restaurant and it was fantastic value for money. The portions were very generous indeed and by the time the desert came around we were full ! The Celeriac Soup was lovely as was the Botanist Gin Cured Salmon, which was followed by a very tasty Chicken and Smoked Ham Terrine. The ''mains'' were up next with the Poached and Roasted Alloa Chicken then the Pan Fried Shetland Cod. Both these dishes were lovely. Some of us managed the dessert, I'm afraid it had me beat, but apparently it was wonderful too. This is a spectacular room, old world but very cosy and warm. Great service from the staff, we will go back and try the A la Carte menu in the near future.

Lunch at Mar Hall was nice. Good service from the young waiters.....no waitresses? Soup tasty. Cod very tasty. Small portions but just enough. No atmosphere.

Had not dined in the Cristal Restaurant for a while now due to various issues, but what a delight to return recently. The dinner was just fabulous.....everyone enjoyed so much...but far more importantly the staff were an absolute joy to deal with...and what a difference that made to our evening. The restaurant itself is an elegant place to dine and am glad to advise can highly recommend once again.

Went for Sunday lunch and it was fab. Great service, good menu selection and generous portion sizes.

We went for Sunday lunch with friends (on an Itison deal) and thoroughly enjoyed it, such that we have already booked again.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch in beautiful surroundings. Food was fantastic and service was excellent. Can’t not find any faults at all .

An absolutely beautiful room to dine in. Paintings are exquisite. Service was good. Felt rushed though as there were very few people dining. We were only offered a set menu which we were a little disappointed with as we were not on package deal. We had looked up the a la carte menu online & had looked forward to it. My husband enjoyed the pork belly but I was disappointed with my cod dish. I felt the curry was overpowering. The duck Terrine was very good & sticky toffee pudding was good. Enjoyed a good bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine. The atmosphere could have been improved if the music was a little louder as there were only about 10 people dining & it was very quiet.

Food so tasty and beautifully presented whilst served by top quality staff. There was nothing to find fault with this restaurant. The breakfast was also stunning with an excellent choice of food.

Enjoyed a lovely meal in the Cristal Restaurant set within the spectacular estate of Mar Hall. With it's impressive Edwardian decor and relaxed atmosphere the restaurant has perfect surroundings for a romantic meal for two or with a group of friends. All dishes were cooked to perfection, using fresh and seasonal ingredients. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Had a great experience and would highly recommend.

Staying at Mar hall for the first time golf in the afternoon Iain and his colleague were friendly and helpful 5 star service However Scott in the crystal restaurant should be on the stage he makes your night and is a star performer

We stayed at Mar Hall and had booked a meal here. We both had a main and shared a dessert. My partner had the chicken and I had the aged steak. I did say to my partner to try a steak as I thought it would be superb. It certainly was, it was fantastic, I would argue the best steak I've had, in terms of the quality of beef and also the manner in which it was cooked (medium-rare). It was just beautiful. Thanks to the chef. Pared with a couple of glasses of Malbec, spot on.

We recently had dinner here. The walk to the restaurant through the Grand Hall is stunning. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed vibe for a formal dining room. The customer service provided by the staff is first rate. There menu provided a good selection of dishes. Our order was taken promptly, the food was served promptly, was well presented and hot. Most importantly each course was delicious. The Haggis in Whiskey Sauce was fantastic, steaks cooked to perfection and the desserts were beautifully presented.

This is a wonderful restaurant set in the Hotel, The menu in the restaurant was somewhat limited and it was a shame that chips came with everything at dinner but the aged steak was delicious and the service was excellent.

Staff were attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent. Good choice on the menu. Very reasonable cost wise too. Recommended.

We ate (or tried to eat) at Mar hall's restaurant before evening dinner. There's casual menu served at the bar. It comes from the same kitchen that serves evening dinner.

The food is fresh and lovely, but is very overpriced. The atmosphere is very subdued and a bit staid, not a place for party people. Although the food is to the standard I like, I do prefer to eat somewhere that is a bit less hushed. Perfect for a romantic dinner for two though.

Beautiful architecture, pleasant room. Staff willing, not quite five star service but satisfactory. Menu, no a lacarte but reasonable menu choices. Not high dining but 'posh scottish' and well presented and tasty. Why the use of slates for pud? Wine prices, a range, but starting at reasonable.

Had an amazing meal at Mar Hall Estate, we were greeted and seated immediately, i had requested a bottle of bubbly at the table for when we had arrived, there it was.

This was my first time in one of the suites and the whole overnight stay was a delight. We will be back and will certainly have a meal too.

Excellent ambiance and first class food. Very attentive service with 3 course set-meal for £35, very good value for very good food. Highly recommended.

Website makes a big play of the scallops dish, which didn't feature on the menu at all. In fact there was no al a carte menu at all, instead there was a set menu with no sides and we were told there were no chips (we hadn't asked for chips)

The setting was lovely and the choice on the menu was very nice. I would recommend this restaurant and it would be a great place to celebrate a special occasion. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Food was delicious and the service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. The dining room was very Grand and elegant but the staff and service was not stuffy.

Evening meal was tasty and nicely presented.

Relaxed, formal atmosphere in cozy surroundings. I felt that it wasn't outstanding, but the food was nice and well presented. A few hiccups e.g. asked for an item and did not receive, did not have the wine we wanted (however the staff catered to this).

The food was amazing and the wine was lovely too! There's a nice atmosphere in the restaurant too so would definitely go back.

Unfortunately the restaurant visit was disappointing. The food is not worth returning for, service was average and lacked atmosphere.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch with daughter and son in law on their trip to Scotland. Staff very friendly and excellent service. I would prefer to have sirloin of beef in preference to slow roasted blade of beef for a Sunday roast. Surprised they were not busier lots of unoccupied tables.

We stayed in the hotel and ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Dinner was amazing the food was beautiful. The service was first class and very relaxed.

Sadly not a good experience this time.......but will say no more as superbly management contacted as a result of negative comments made on another site. Delighted to report that things have vastly improved regarding service etc and more especially will be returning soon for hopefully ...as always...a fabulous experience.

We were invited to a private birthday lunch and it was really lovely. Held in a large well appointed room. A large table for about 20. The menu was really nice with plenty of choices. All the dishes were enjoyed, nicely presented and very tasty. A very relaxing day which was enjoyed by all in a super venue.

Visited for dinner and apart from a mix up with menus...had a wonderful night. Food delicious and staff helpful. The restaurant is quietly elegant and we then moved to the Grand Hall for coffee and liqueurs. Mmmm lady singing....a little too loudly.....which causes problems for us just wanting to chill and have a nice conversation. Why do singers need to be sooo loud. Maybe a sign of old age on my part.....but tone it down please!!! However we all had a great night and look forward to returning. Highly recommended.

Unlike previous poster Terence we found the decor and ambience of the restaurant lovely and very much in keeping with the building. The food was excellent as was the service from perfectly trained and pleasant staff and for someone to post that they should be compared to day releases from Barlinnie is not only rude but downright insulting. However I have never had the occasion to visit Barlinnie ............. Our room was also lovely and the views stunning especially on a sunny day. Would not hesitate to stay again or even visit just for something to eat

The food was very fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. Although the setting is very grand the service and atmosphere make this an excellent choice for dinner.

The Cristal Restaurant is a tired old lady now, and way past her prime. The dining room itself has all the atmosphere of a not recently dusted mortuary, although the food is not bad value for money. But -- like the rest of the hotel -- definitely not five star. The only choice for dinner was from a set meal (no à la carte menu). My starter was cold (almost frozen) and tasteless, although the main course was a little better, but not in any way outstanding. The maî·tre d' was "wearing" a suit several sizes to small for him, and the waiters were an odd collection, looking and sounding more like day releases from Barlinnie. Neither gave the refined and genteel impression expected of "a five star hotel". My wife was kept awake most of the night by a rattling window which the night service made no attempt to try and resolve, other than offer to wake me too, and move us both to another room. At 2:30am in the morning? Its rather distressing to see a beautiful old house like Mar Hall (or Erskine House, to give it its proper name), unable to maintain standards, and revenues too, I assume, and so forced into selling off its lands for Logistics warehouses, and yet another "exclusive development of twenty prestigious properties".

We have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is wonderful and the staff helpful and knowledgeable without being sycophantic.

Delighted from start to finish delicious food and wine and brilliant waiting staff who were all very attentive throughout . 5 pm deal well worth the money . I had only previously been for spa treatments but will be back again and have been most highly recommending the restaurant to everyone I can . Thankyou for the best date night my husband and I have had out in ages .

Had booked a dinner, bed, breakfast with my husband for my 30th. Had a family dinner in the Cristal restaurant that evening. The hotel is stunning. The service is perfect. I would have eaten everything in the menu but had to choose just one thing! The cheese soufflé was the best thing I have ever had. So delicious. The seafood risotto with baked salmon was to die for. I love this place, I cannot fault it.

Ate here on a 5pm deal and enjoyed it. Both courses we had each were lovley. Enjoyed the wine and service was attentive with out being over powering.The only reason didnt give 5 stars was the lack of choice but i would still go back

I had taken my Aunt for a lovely 2 course Dinner - which both of us enjoyed. It was my Aunt's 80th Birthday and the chef had very kindly surprised us by preparing a very special dessert plate congratulating my Aunt on her 80th Birthday (a lovely and kind gesture to my Aunt). Which was beautifully written in chocolate and lots of sweet desserts to eat which was gorgeously delicious.

Visited this restaurant recently with a friend, and despite being the only ones in the restaurant we had a lovely lunch with very friendly and attentive staff.

Lovely setting fantastic dinner excellent service. Relaxing evening nice bar with a cozy fire. Have been before and enjoyed it just as much. Don't have to eat in the dinning room you can get food in the bar.

Brilliant chunky beef burger and a red Hot Chili Concarne which needed a lot of extra sour cream plus a fire extinguisher ! The Chef should put a burn warning on it! Great place to walk your dog overlooking the Clyde. Lovely view

Visited for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed it. Great service in the Cristal restaurant and food. Marr Hall is a lovely but its always the small detail that lets it down. One toilet miles from the restaurant for example. However, on a positive note the food was very good. After lunch we had coffee in the Grand Hall which is very relaxing. Definitely a nice treat.

First time at this restaurant and we were very impressed.Portion sizes were just right, presentation very good and quality of food also very good. Staff were helpful, pleasant and unobtrusive.Price included a free glass of prosecco which made it excellent value.Would definitely recommend.

Lovely restaurant, we were staying over so had booked a table. Service was great and they were very attentive, we had scallops for starters and steak for mains. Would return.

Visited with family and a friend. Beautifully decorated for Christmas....just a delight. Food, as before, absolutely delicious. Everyone remarked how enjoyable and well presented everything was. The staff on hand were very attentive without being totally in your face...something which I personally hate. A perfect night ending with drinks in the long gallery. Very highly recommended.

Visited here as part of our stay at Mar Hall and have to say it was excellent from start to finish.Service superb and food was fantastic as well. Had requested Champagne in advance and it was chilling at our table when we arrived. Set the tone for the night. Food was second to none and overall service was superb - drinks filled up frequently and breaks between courses timed perfectly. No rush to leave at end of evening.Highly recommended.

Great staff, great wine, great food, beautifully intimate restaurant with a wonderfully helpful host. perfectly cooked lamb and a generous cheese board.

We had dinner and breakfast in Cristal which I can easily sum up, The food was very good, not amazing but very decent and very high quality service.

This is by far and away an AMAZING place to be a member of. The golf staff, Andrew, Graham, Euan and Johnathon are an absolute credit to the place. I have never been greeted so warmly and this is on every visit. We have stayed at the Hotel many times and its our favourite place to stay. Food is outstanding and the staff are excellent. I can't recommend here higher. The course green keepers are also a credit. Golf staff in particular need this fedback as the are a MASSIVE part of your success. They are huge advocates and the service is beyond reproach.

Eat here at least once when staying and you will enjoy the most amazing food and wine you could wish for. Service to match and in such a beautiful room.

We arrived on a Saturday and when driving up the well kept driveway to the main door we commented on how well looked after it looked but that came to a sudden halt when we arrived in the main car park.A grim, old building that it is (a former hospital and actually looks like one) badly needing spruced up awaited us but we were sure that 5 star service wouldn't put us off our meal.When entering reception the girl looked at us as if we shouldn't be there and we wondered if the cleaner had taken some time off as, quite frankly, this wasn't 5 star cleanliness.The decor inside the place is quite eerie, tired and badly needing some TLC whilst the food in the main restaurant wouldn't be out of place in a works canteen. This hotel would probably be better sold off to one of the main hotel groups as they may invest in it which looks a few years overdue.Probably more of a let down for us but clearly satisfies other people.

Had dinner here as part of a 2 night stay at the hotel. Decor is stunning and the staff were lovely and friendly. Food was very good but quite expensive. Certainly a beautiful place for a special occasion.

Great service,great food, reasonable price, tired decor. The fillet steak is as good as you'll get anywhere. Staff weren't sure about the sourcing of wine and fish dishes on the menu but overall service was great.

Visited the crystal in March of this year for a birthday celebration. The meal was excellent as were the helpful staff. At the higher end of price scale but O.K. for a one off special occasion.Would readily recommend this venue to family and friends and have already done so.

We have been there before and enjoyed the meal with staff very friendly and helpful.It provides a great atmosphere although it could do with a make over.Reasonable value for money with a good selection of food and drinks.Would go back.

Too many tables shoved in one room. The chandelier is nice , the food is ok but expensive. Catering for the tourists and the very rich locals, so if you come for fish and chips well sorry, oops. Looks like no one has children who dined here as never seen any and no highchairs, could be wrong but looks like a place for rich fuddy duddies to eat in.

It feels odd to admit to eating here on a meal deal, but that's just what I did. Being on the Mar Hall mailing list pays off, as they emailed round with a deal on a rack of lamb main course for 2, for £35.Being gluttons, we opted to add starters and desserts, and a bottle of wine and all were entirely delicious. The lamb was really top notch quality and cooked to perfection - the chef in his fancy chef hat came out to carve it for us which was nice.All in a delightful setting, with pretty good service, this is a recommended place to eat from me!

Never one to disappoint, the Cristal restaurant is grand in every way. From its opulent decor to beautifully prepared food, it's always a pleasure to dine here.

We had a very enjoyable meal in the Cristal Restaurant. Staff very polite and helpful, yet discrete. Beautiful surroundings.

Made a reservation about two hours prior and mentioned we were a group of two vegetarians and two vegans. When we arrived, they had a customized printed menu for us! Food was terrific, service was top notch.

We had a wonderful meal here last Friday night in the beautiful surroundings of the Cristal restaurant in Mar Hall. Lovely choice of menu and wine list and the food was gorgeous. Great staff there, knowledgeable and helpful and so pleasant. Would certainly recommend eating here.

Although I've dined at Il Posto many times, this was my first visit to the Cristal Restaurant in the main hotel building. In keeping with the hotel, the dining room has a dated charm while being warm and comfortable. From the hotel receptionist to the waiting staff I was impressed with the overall standard of customer care and service. The food, of a high standard, but, with many high quality restaurants in Glasgow the chef has his work cut out in a very competitive market. Will I use the Cristal Restaurant again, probably, I enjoyed the meal.

Four of us had dinner at Mar Hall this week. For our starters we had ham hock terrine and chicken liver parfait. For the main course we had chicken and salmon. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll definitely go back.

Sorry - but everytHing we were served was cold - the soup but what was most disappointing was the cold chateaubriand ! Congealed blood not a 5* restaurant!

We came for the Mother's Day carvery as a treat for Mum. The starters were great but the vegetables on the carvery were dried out and tasteless, the Yorkshire puddings were not great. Overall disappointed in the meal as I'd heard the normal a la carte is very good but I definitely wouldn't rush back for a carvery again

Beautiful surroundings and stunning food.I had sea bass which was cooked to perfection and my husband had lamb, cooked just the way he loves it.Really lovely evening and would highly recommend!

The best thing about the cristal restaurant was the ceiling in the dining room. The setting was lovely but the chairs needed refurbishment. Staff were attentive and efficient. We ate on a 5pm deal otherwise I would have been very upset at paying over £70.00 for such a lacklustre meal. Our starters were O.K. but not exciting. My main course of roast beef with all the trimmings had undercooked vegetables, slightly overcooked beef, and an inedible yorkshire pudding. My husbsnd's lamb rump was better but too well done for him, and both our mains arrived on cold plates, therefore the food on them did not stay warm for long. We decided not to risk a pudding. We are unlikely to return

Wow what a setting! Amazing good,staff everthing u need.the drinks list was really good.and not expensive.ive eaten all over the world with my partner and wee both agreed,the food was perfect.cant wait to come bk! My man said hel take me every month! Can't wait!

So romantic the dining room,great choice of food,which I love! The service was amazing the staff are so kind.the chef needs a thank you as it was bizzy but the food was to a high standard! ⭐️I've been 7 times now and going again on Sunday.great for all occasions.

We've eaten here a couple of times, both times using a voucher. Our latest visit was on Sunday evening, maybe a year since our first visit. Why we waited so long to revisit, not sure. Won't make that mistake again. This hotel itself is simply stunning. An old style building, which wouldn't be out of place in an episode of an Agatha Christie novel. It's spotless and beautifully decorated. The staff are welcoming and polite. Directing us where we should go, and never being your face unlike some other venues. The restaurant sets itself out with plenty of space between tables. No having to listen to the next tables conversation. Our food arrived promptly, but was obviously freshly made. We both had the same starter. A twice baked cheese soufflé with a salad on a slate. What can I say, a work of art which tasted amazing. Then main arrived. A roast beef Sunday dinner and a roast lamb. Both meats were cooked to perfection. We asked for pink, but no blood, and got exactly that. The meat almost fell apart. The accompanying veg just as tasty. Then the same sweet. Sticky toffee pudding. I'm still salivating 2 days later! Lovely. I could go on a t length about our visit but I won't. I will only say, give it a try. There is a market menu, 3 courses, for £35. More than worth the value. We'll be back!

The drive up is lovely. Speed bumps bit annoying, but annoyance soon disappears when you arrive at the hotel. Overall impression of the setting and building is quite beautiful. Cristal Restaurant is through main lounge area which is very pretty. Staff in restaurant very smartly dressed. Drinks order and food taken at same time. Drinks brought promptly. Lovely sitting in such grand surroundings sipping on a white rioja. Starters arrived wonderful and nice size. Well presented. Main good size too and throughly enjoyable my lamb dish was very tasty. Very impressed.

Excellent evening although steak not cooked to my Liking amends made by given free round of drink all other courses beautiful
