Crispy Dosa in Harrow

Unforeseen circumstances meant I was back in the area for a few months, and had to venture into Harrow a few times for business/shopping. Went to this venue several times, and it really delivers for the price! In fact, for the price, its excellent. Very flavourful food, friendly staff and you get bang for your buck!

I yearned for something vegetarian as had been consuming a predominantly meat diet this week. I tried this establishment as had never been. I ordered takeaway Mysore Dosa and a Manchurian paneer. Both came to £18.99, which I felt was not cheap. Both the Dosa and paneer were reasonable and acceptable to my palate.

Mediocre tasting food, potato filling for dosas totally mashed!! Chutney accompaniments taste did not enhance. Not for us.

Was excited to take my mum and sister in law for dinner here today. Sadly, this was one of the worst dosas I’ve had. I had a plain dosa and it was pretty much flavourless! The chutneys & sambhar are what make a dosa nice, but they lacked any flavour. We spent £40 here for dinner and just seemed a waste! It’s a shame as there’s such potential. It was just a real let down.

Food was absolutely awful as was the service. We had to wait for over 30 minutes for our dosa and when it eventually arrived the potato curry was all mushy and watery! When we complained they weren’t and said that’s how it should be!! Wouldn’t go back here again…food not worth the money….extremely poor customer service.. We asked for serviettes & extra water, got neither!

Food was not good and manager was incredibly rude and aggressive when we asked if it was possible to change one of the dishes (which was inedible as so spicy!) for another one. I will never go back to this place!!

I regularly visit this restaurant. The food is really nice and worth every penny you pay. Tarak who always serves us is a wonderful host. Very polite and good service. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Their dosas other dishes are especially tasty - they have a wide array of different kinds and they`re all prepared fresh to order. The service is friendly and fast, which is always a plus, and the prices are affordable. They also serve up interesting dishes such as the Cheese Masala Dosa, which combines two amazing flavors in one!

I booked Crispy Dosa's outdoor catering services for a birthday event at home. It was a tad slow initially to communicate as they were so busy (a good sign from my perspective) but they came back to me and were able to work around my timings to provide the service times I wanted - despite my booking at short notice (less than two weeks). The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff (Vaithi and Abdu) were very polite and took the time to explain to my guests the variety of filling options. The menu was quite extensive and my guests had fun trying out the chocolate Dosa (which went down very well!). They cleaned up after themselves and left the garden in a clean state. I received lots of compliments on the food and would highly recommend Crispy Dosa for an outdoor event. It was different and well received - i'll definitely be using them again!

Went to Crispy Dosa in Harrow for the first time and found the experience on the high side of average. The dosas we had were good but the ambiance was quite average. Not as nice as Saravanaa Bhavan as the menu items there are much more (see my reviews there). Any extra items, chutney and sambhar were provided at both places at no extra cost but I didn’t find Crispy Dosa as welcoming. We would still go again.
