Great chippy, nice staff and the fish is always great and the batter last night was delicious. And the amount of chips you get is excellent Top chippy, try it out

We have a family night of around 15 people every 3 months, I ring through the large order and the service is excellent, we have never had anything missing and they put it into individual family orders. The food is always excellent.

I recently visited Crispy Cod Fish Bar and had a thoroughly disappointing experience. The girl behind the counter seemed utterly disinterested and borderline rude, as if she couldn't care less about serving customers. It felt like she was being forced to work there against her will. To add insult to injury, despite placing my order before everyone else in the shop, I watched as others received their food ahead of me. It was frustrating and made me feel undervalued as a customer. Additionally, this isn't the first time I've been let down by Crispy Cod Fish Bar. On a previous visit, I found the fish to be dry, and to make matters worse, the same girl forgot to put salt and vinegar on my chips. Overall, these experiences have left a sour taste in my mouth, and I'll definitely be giving Crispy Cod Fish Bar a miss from now on. It's a shame because I was hoping for a satisfying meal, but unfortunately, the poor service and lack of attention to detail have overshadowed any enjoyment I could have had.

Very good fish and chips place! The owner is very nice and friendly. Despite only having the chips, which are amazing and perfectly cooked, there's alot of selection for a decent price. One thing to note is that this place is cash only but there are cash machines around and a post office in the McColls close by. Definitely a good place to go to!

Great local chippy on Lockleaze Square that offers everything from traditional fish & chips, through burgers and kebabs. They also offer pensioner and kids specials which is good for the locals. Easy access via local buses. Place is spotlessly clean.

We are buing here finsh n chips and kebabs in the bun for years. Never experienced any disappointment, from staff nor food.

With my wife’s experience of working in chip shop,she knows everything about fish and chips and her verdict is that the food from crispy cod is excellent.Staff are friendly and nothing is too much bother asked if they could skin our fish it was done with no quibbles 10/10

The first time we went we were let down. We tried every other chip shop in a 3 mile radius then came back. Every meal since (around 30 to date) has been mouth wateringly excellent. Food for the stomach and the soul. This place is what fish and chips should be all about. What you get can vary from blindly good to decent but it's always honestly and freshly cooked. We're not asking for minty peas and a slice of lemon. All my family love it when they come to stay. Recommended meal: "cod and chips" feeds me, the wife, and the cat.

This is the best chip shop in BS7 possibly all of Bristol. ,friendly staff and amazingly well cooked Fish and the perfect chips . Try all the rest and then have the best at the Crispy Cod !

One of the best chip shops in Bristol - and I'm fussy. Chips are proper fish shop chips, the fish always has a lovely crispy batter, the oil used is good, and my partner loves the chicken kebab meat which is gluten free. 5 hygiene rating too.
