Creams Cafe Leicester in Leicester

This is usually my go to dessert place when we go out as a friend group and we usually have some ice cream for take out ! Today we decided to eat in but since we had a full meal before only two of us (we were 4) wanted dessert so we ordered waffles with ice cream for them to share . When my friend went to order the man who was taking the order asked if that will be all and when she said yes he said are you all sharing she said yes and he said this is not allowed u need to at least order 2 items because this is a restaurant ! And he proceeded to waffle about the place being a restaurant and how we need to take away if we only ordering one item ? And when we tried to explain that we are both full and that the table will be used either way he said I am not arguing further so we left … a stupid rule that has now meant I am no longer stepping a foot in this restaurant and will be telling everyone I know to avoid the place ! Zero communication skills and horrible customer service don’t waste your money here as there are many other small businesses that would appreciate their customers more . Forcing people to order more food just for you to make money is not okay !

Customer service is absolutely Horrible i was served by a man who is probably the owner from the way he was acting and have never been so appauled with this service. I ordered icecream and had 2 friends with me and he wouldn't allow them to sit with me as i ate because they didnt order anything he was also very rude about it , when the shop was completely empty .hated my experience with my friends I used to love going to creams when they're icecream was actually good quality but now it's not worth the money honestly. And the owner is so rude would never go again. No wonder the shops always empty.

Well basically the owner of the cafe was a greedy little thing. I went out with my friends to get some dessert after eating lunch mind you at this point we were all full and we just wanted a little treat so we choose to order one thing off the menu and share it. But the owner was like no can do and wants us to order more for us to stay. Not worth the food for the terrible costumer service

Manger or owner there is arrogant & rude . No wonder the place was empty . went to buy a orange machine . The guys a scam , and time waster . Silly man learn some business ethics .

Me and my friends were refused service by a very rude and arrogant man today because of a nonsense rule that everybody at the table has to order something. He said to us “Everybody at the table has to order something and you are not allowed to share”. When I questioned this, he said it’s because it’s a restaurant. I am not sure about you but I have never been forced to order something at a restaurant ever in my life. Would definitely NOT recommend this place if you are looking for good customer service.

Nice dessert cafe, met a guy called Neal who served me and was amazing. Had a great experience.

On arrival the place was really nice, we ordered our drinks/ desserts and it was delicious. Then as we were sitting there talking and the manager (presume he was the manager) started shouting at one of the staff behind the counter in front of us. He was horrible to the staff member but the individual was polite, kept calm but you could tell he was embarrassed. If the individual made a mistake so what we are only human! Nobody deserves to be shouted at like that. The manager needs to go for anger management or sacked. I would not return to this restaurant and give my money if this is how the staff are treated in from of customers then what happens behind the scenes!

This is the first ice cream place I found they don't provide testers. Without test how can one decide . The oreo shake is same like other creams.

The staff was nice and friendly. The owner was arrogant and rude. I just a brought a regular milkshake for 5.50 and the taste was Okay but it give me the biggest food posion I ever had. I felt pain in my stomach that I never felt before.

Some good deserts can be found here at Creams. If you have a sweet tooth, pop in after a meal or to celebrate an occasion. Prices are okay and portions could be larger, but I say that from a greedy mouth and a hungry stomach. Never let down on quality.

Terrible experience me and my other friends were trying surprise my friend a day before her birthday and because we didn’t know we got kicked out for lighting a cake with sparkles and we didn’t know we weren’t allowed to do this the birthday girl was paying for us all while the cashier was being very humble and nice the b!tch manger came and kicked us out which was so humiliating because he could of been nice about it and let us of but no he kicked us out and my friend burnt her thumb the place was so warm that you can’t even breath and the menu was overpriced anyway don’t come here!!!

Service was appalling. Ordered Strawberry Frappe as it’s on the stand menu located in every table and the waiter states they don’t sell this. Then why advertise something if not sold, it’s misleading… So we then ordered 2 English breakfast tea and crepe and 30min later we are still waiting. Absolutely shocking. I don’t recommend.

Service was awful took 45 mins for one dessert and tea wanted to try frappe from new menu said they dont do any of them even though they have them on every table.

Terrible experience .. at creams Leicester . Drove and hour to go to creams at Leicester. Reached at 6pm today . A lady offered us a seat when we went in. Then as we were going to order, a guy comes ( possibly manager) comes and tells us “Sorry guys we can’t serve you today as we are terribly short of staff and there were three staff in there including the manager. Such a bad experience .. very unwelcoming .. will never return to this place

Neil was so patient and polite with our orders because we couldn't decide which gorgeous dessert to choose. Excellent service. Be back soon.

Wonderful tasty waffle with strawberry toppings I had taken today. Definitely I would visit again to try other waffles available in the menu card. Awesome place to eat tasty waffle at Leicester. But, little bit expensive which is only fact making me to think again before going there. All kind of waffles cost almost 8-10£. 😋

Underwhelming experience overall. The American-style waffles are dry and lack flavour unless drenched in sauce, and the quality of everything else was ok but not worth the prices. The atmosphere inside is also flat. However, the main issue is that the service is frustrating. The servers behind the counter weren't friendly at all which puts a dampener on celebrations (a birthday in my case) so I couldn't recommend it. Another example was when we arrived there were six of us but they only gave us one menu. The one exception to the service complaint was the young woman who cleared our table who was very friendly.

I really recommend this lovely dessert restaurant, lovely food with great customer service. Neil made sure to make us feel welcome and ensured the food came out promptly!!

By far the worst milkshake ever. It was just milk. And the ice cream was just all icy and hadnt been thawed properly. Wouldnt get a milkshake from here ever again. The only thing theyre good at is the sundaes.

The staff was super rude and arrogant. I entered this place for the first time to order something the moment I entered there was a man had a beard standing at the till shouted we don't have any jobs you can go! I didn't say a thing and I wanted to order but this reckless behavior with the customers isn't tolerated. I think you should study about hospitality if you're working in this field and should know how to respect the guests and not treat them like this.

The man that served us (Friday) he wasn’t wearing uniform so I am assuming he was the manager was rude! No customer service and got our order wrong but was happy with his “own” people. The toilets were so dirty, stains of poo on the walls. The seats were dirty too couldn’t even use it. Wouldn’t go back again!

Had a lovely visit with family, I tried the cookie dough with ice cream, perfect if you've got a sweet tooth! We also had the waffle, ice cream sundaes. Desserts were fantastic and really good, fast service.

Staff could be a little more welcoming. Menu has a decent range but no gluten free options for waffles or cones.

Rude staff. Insensitive to medical needs of the kids , absolutely rubbish cusomer service. Probably dont like customers coming in and destroy their peace (it calls them back to work)-

Came here this morning with my family was amazing had lovely waffles and amazing hot chocolates and milkshakes. The young man working was extremely friendly and welcoming. It was a lovely clean atmosphere would definitely recommend.

I ordered a waffle and a sundae for me and some other people. We were going to eat in so we sat at a table. As the workers were preparing the food in the dessert place I saw the guy who was making the sundae touch his nose. The first time he did it I was shocked but I thought it's fine I'll still eat it. He did it again and I was so disgusted. He touched the end of his nose twice not even the bridge of his nose but the end of his nose!!!! Which is very unhygienic!!!! When the lady came with the sundae which did look really good, I explained that I want a refund as I've just seen the guy touch his nose. She said to speak to the other guy so I did (the guy who touched his nose...... I think he may have been the manager). I just said to him I want a refund please. He said the sundae has already been made so he can't give a refund. I didn't want to be rude and say that I saw him touch his nose so I said that's fine I'll just eat it. The waitress was saying to him ask her for the reason ask her for the reason. I went back to the table and sat down with the sundae ready to eat it as I was being polite and didn't want to offend the guy that I saw him touch his nose. The waitress then took him to the side and told him that I saw him touch his nose. He was soooooooo furious and angry. He had no manners in the way he spoke. He was so hot tempered. He said what you want a refund because I touched my nose here........ so he admitted it too (showing me where he touched his nose but he didn't show the right place). He said of the 5 years working here (I can't remember if it was 5) no one has ever said anything like this and he found it ridiculous. He washes his hands "every 10 minutes". He said would I like him to wash his hands and make the sundae again I said no thank you I'll take a refund. He said okay but you cannot take a refund for the waffle as that's already made and I didn't make it the other guy did. He refused to give me a refund for the waffle!! He did give me a refund for the sundae that he made whilst touching his nose....... but I requested a refund for the waffle too and I believe I should have been given a refund for that too. So I sat back down as we already said at the start that we are going to eat in. He was so rude, horrible and angry that I said he touched his nose and I want a refund that he said okay I'm giving you the waffle as take away. He kicked us out of the dessert place!!!!!! That was so rude........... I was never rude to him throughout the whole situation and he treated me like trash. I have never been treated like this before in any food establishment. How on earth does he think it is okay to touch his nose and prepare food? And speak to customer in such a disgusting and rude way. I feel so sad as I never thought I would be spoken to in such a disgusting way when I was not even in the wrong. He did say what do you want head offices number now? I said no that's fine. It was him making all the commotion.

shockingly abysmal service, never in my life have i experienced anything like it. the man working at the till should be banned from working in hospitality. i checked previous reviews and multiple people have already showed concerns about this man’s lack of composure and empathy when dealing with queries or situations. as a hospitality worker, i am beyond disbelief at such a disgusting attitude. it’s a shame, as I was a big Creams fan and other staff have been nice during previous times I was there. this was the first time i encountered this man and the last for sure. I wish i could give 0 stars. I will not return and I will encourage others to do the same.

I recently had the misfortune of dealing with a business that left me utterly dissatisfied and disgusted. The customer service and overall experience were abysmal, characterized by rudeness, unprofessionalism, and a complete disregard for the customers. I feel compelled to share my experience as a warning to others who might consider patronizing this establishment. First and foremost, the customer service was shockingly terrible. The employees seemed disinterested, apathetic, and outright rude. Instead of addressing my concerns and queries, they brushed me off with curt and dismissive responses. It was as if they couldn't care less about providing assistance or ensuring customer satisfaction. Such behavior is inexcusable and reflects poorly on the company as a whole. Additionally, the stock available was outdated and far from satisfactory. It appeared as if they were trying to pass off old, stale products as new and desirable. The items lacked freshness, quality, and relevance. It was clear that the management had neglected the responsibility of keeping their stock up-to-date and appealing. This kind of disregard for the customers' expectations is simply unacceptable. To make matters worse, the taste of the products I purchased was downright awful. It was as if they had no regard for quality control or maintaining a consistent standard. The flavors were bland, off-putting, and failed to live up to the advertised expectations. It was disappointing to spend my hard-earned money on items that were not only unsatisfying but also lacked any semblance of taste. All in all, my experience with this business was extremely disappointing. The very bad customer service, rude behavior, old stock, and terrible taste left a lasting negative impression. I strongly advise potential customers to seek alternatives and avoid this establishment at all costs. There are countless other businesses out there that genuinely care about their customers and strive to provide a positive experience. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a more enjoyable and satisfactory shopping experience.

The food here is really nice and it's great just like all the other 'Creams' around the UK. My only gripe is that the portions seem to have decreased but this might just be a general 'Creams' thing rather than just in Leicester.

Really bad customer service, I came to order an ice cream for me and the misses then she asked if she can use the toilet and the reply was its only for customers. We said we are going to order and then he walked over to us as in saying order first before you use the toilet.

Worst crepe ever! - had to wait 45 minutes last week and when received, the ice cream had melted and cream all soft. It was also cold, will not be revisiting.

Nice waffles - only problem is some stuff wasn't in stock, so had to go for an alternative.

Been here a few times, large choice of options but previously Creams used to have even more sundae options and you could even create your own sundae in the past, which is now no longer offered. Cookie dough is a decent portion but clearly cooked in the microwave rather than in the oven which would give it a better texture. Frequently don’t have one of the cookie dough options available (E.g. no milk chocolate cookie dough today) Denied any tap water when we asked for it, which is just bizarre! Have been to other Creams elsewhere which have tap water out for everyone to help themselves to.

The food is always of good quality and you won’t be waiting too long. The staff are also nice and while a small place, there is plenty of seating accommodating from individuals to pairs to groups

A huge selection of ice cream that was very pricy but tasty. But unfortunately I found it to be very dirty. In particular the menus and tables seemed very filthy which definitely raises hygiene issues. They were also out of most ingredients. Edit: returned and unfortunately the place is still dirty and the menus are vile and badly need replacing. Unfortunately the place is so dirty and unhygienic that It put us off our food. We won't be going back.
