Creams in Scarborough

overpriced for what I received, a small slice of a clearly defrosted product, and delivery time kept changing

Fantastic desserts, I just wish delivery drivers could read/follow simple instructions instead of phoning and asking to meet them in the street. 5* for Creams though. Massive portions, waffles will do between 2. Will definitely buy again

We ordered several hot drinks and waited at least half an hour to receive our order. After around 20 minutes one of our party asked what the delay was. There was one young lady by herself and explained she had a number of orders. After over half an hour I went and asked again where our drinks were. The lady told us she was just about to do them. I did state that if she wasn't able to do this then we would like a refund. At this point she prepared our drinks. I asked her why she was on her own and she said she'd asked for help but was still waiting for another colleague to arrive. I suggested to her for future reference that if there were a number of orders she should advise customers that this was the case. This review is not a reflection of the lady who served us but of the poor management of the establishment. Not sure I'd want to return.

Brilliant choice of everything ice cream, gelato, sorbet, waffle & crepes etc. good quality and fully loaded with a choice of toppings. Two adults and two children ordered: crepe, waffle and double pot of gelato). Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

Can’t rate food as it hasn’t been delivered but we’ve waited nearly 2 hours for our order and they won’t even answer the phone

Tables were dirty, it was unwelcoming as it looked like they were closing early and there was a bit of an odd smell. All in all not a pleasant visit.

The food itself was relatively good, however unfortunately the thick shake I ordered had shifted in the bag so leaked into the box containing my nachos. The nacho cheese was also rather cold in places either due to the aforementioned milkshake leak or the cheese wasn't stirred enough as it was being warmed up. It would also be incredibly useful if milkshakes were delivered with straws as not everyone has straws at home.

Ordered the crepe with lemon, lemon juice. No taste at all to it. The flavours need to be stronger.

I gave it a good go and will eat most things. But this isn't nachos, not even close to being edible. Cold value nacho chips, American style cheese the consistency of wallpaper paste. Also some green stuff that I can only presume to be a artists rendition of guacamole.

Partners milkshake birthday cake was spot on.. mine spiced cherry milkshake had no cherries whatsoever When I queried as thought theygave me salted caramel .. she said nope that spiced cherry . Did not taste of cherry at all

Lovely cookie dough and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and service quick. Am looking forward to going again

Not as good as I've had before

My go to dessert place in the entirety of yorkshire!! I’ve been visiting this specific creams for over a year now and they have never let me down. The servers are lovely and the food has always been superb. Couldn’t recommend more!!

The staff are kind and patient. They served us very quickly. The food was lovely.

Unfortunately this wasn't worth it. The cheesecake bottom was burnt. Not brown burnt but black burnt. It was stale,also very hard but also melting at the same time. The tapioca balls were hard,the tea tasted odd, perhaps because of the straw,it was smelly and we ended up using different straws,the plastic cups were sticky and squished so we transferred the drink into a different glass. The wait was an hour, I wouldn't mind the wait if it was worth it. Pass,sorry.

Every time we go past it, all of the outdoor chairs are stacked up inside the cafe. This place permanently looks like it’s about to close for the day. It always looks the opposite of inviting for potential customers. Are the staff doing this on purpose? Try hiring staff who actually want to be there and do a good job. Edit - walked past again the other day. This place is staffed with young teenage girls stood in a circle gossiping! 😂 you can’t be serious.

The carrot cake is warmed up like a chocolate cake all frosting looks horrible and the raspberry cheesecake the same 🤮looks nothing like the picture was well disappointed when it’s our treat for the night aslo tried ringing and there’s no answer

Walked in picked a menu up, was talking to my 6 year old about what she wanted. Got snarled at that they couldn't do pancakes. The back counter was covered in mess and food. The lass then proceeded to just go on her phone instead of serving us. Went over road instead and had a 5 star experience. Avoid this place isn't worth anyone's time or money doesn't deserve to be in a prime location.

Lovely place with super friendly and helpful staff! Clean and tidy. Drinks were great, and they don't skrimp on marshmallows and cream! Make sure you visit if you're at the North Bay in Scarborough!

Lovely place and friendly staff

Food was spot on. We had a varied selection between us from Nachos and waffles to warm cookie dough to sundaes. All servers really quickly and with a smile. The 2 young ladies serving were extremely friendly and helpful and assisting with an awkward running out of a specific ice-cream for a fussy child by doing a taste test to find an alternative and still making it look like the missing one. Top notch! Highly recommend it for the service alone. The only small negative was the lack of any atmosphere, there was no music or anything to entertain customers, but we soon got past that when the food arrived and we entertained each other with taste testing all the food

First visit here and we enjoyed our desserts! Plenty of choice on the menu, we eventually decided on cake and a crepe. One young lady serving by herself who was pleasant enough and said it would take a few minutes as she was on her own, didn't take long for it to come out which was good. Quite expensive, spent over £20 for 2 puddings and a hot drink. Quite dark inside too. But otherwise it was good, shocked to see all the bad reviews!

What a wonderfully indulgent place to visit. Our Daughter was desperate to have some bubble tea and we also added in a waffle. It was delicious. We will be coming back that’s for sure. Thank you so much.

Bubble tea was sour, the tapioca balls were hard and the straw made the whole drink taste strongly of cardboard for the super expensive prices expected higher quality

Ordered some bubble tea but didn't come with straws. No Napkins either. But the food itself was very nice, ordered a few times before and has kept a good consistency. However when ordering the Bueno waffle, the waffle wasn't done fully and tasted a bit to chewy and was a bit hard to break apart. Usually the standards are a higher...might be a one time thing.

Placed an order via justeat visiting scarborough for the week we're local to this place yet after we placed the order we was going to add something on called the restaurant no answer rang 5 minutes later still no answer, get our justeat notification saying driver has set off tracked it says nearby then immediately says delivered! .....wasn't delivered accepted the order took our money and never delivered our food fully refunded by justeat thank god but avoid if you're visiting no correspondence and will just take your money!

Went last year and was lovely, think they have new management went again last week and was awful!

Disgusting. Waffle was raw. Supposed to be popcorn chicken waffle came as one big raw lump. Paid for extra custard got two spoon max in bottom of a paper cup. Crumble was prebought frozen rubbish. Cookie dough was a tiny portion for £11!!!

The milkshake had been knocked over in the bag leaking right through into the cookie dough ruining it, the bag was given to me dripping milkshake out of the bottom the driver blatantly knew and just rand back to the car, the whole delivery ruined and not eatable there was no milkshake left in the plastic cup. Can send pictures I need a full refund

Ordered a cookie dough and 2 milkshakes, the milkshakes were lovely but paid £8 for a cookie dough that was undercooked, stuck to the packaging sheet, looked like 3 cookies just stuck in a box with chocolate sauce. Very underwhelming

Absolutely s**t order food online while open( not a cheap order) food was supposed to delivered in 30 - an hour, when the food was supposed to be delivered we got a message saying that the food couldn’t be done and we were getting no food but got 2 £5 vouchers which doesn’t even come to half of the order. We haven’t received any money back and can’t get though to them as they have now closed with is convenient.

Chocolate Sundae was 90% Mr Whippy icecream or similar! Certainly not worth over £10! The Chocolate crepe didn’t come and got given a chocolate waffle that my partner does like, so in total £25 wasted! This is 2nd bad order in 3 months, shame because this place used to be brilliant but not anymore. Buyers please be aware, don’t use this restaurant, they don’t know what customer service is. Wouldn’t be too bad if they rang you if they are going to substitute an item. Not using again!!

No strawberries on the waffle we ordered. Milkshakes were not strong in flavour and cookie dough was a wet texture, not like cookie dough, that was hard to eat. Think it was overpriced for the quality of food.

Dinning area tables were all messy, had to move boxes and drinks to be able to eat in even than there was crumbs and crushed chocolate on the table. Not a nice place to eat in especially with all the outside table and chairs in the corner of the room when theu should be outside (its midday on a Saturday and sunny outside).

Order on Uber Eats, only delivered half the order and then don’t answer phone when try and make contact. Food good but poor customer service.

The food was delivered quite quickly but was disappointing. The portions were small and not well cooked- I would describe it as overpriced.

Wanted my little girl to experience her first creams....she was very excited. Was really disappointed when it arrived as both crepes were cold and not warm like they should have been.

Walked along the beach front assuming we had ample time to arrive, over one hour before closing time we get to the door to find the staff locking up and going home - waste of my time!

Visited here yesterday, for coffee and cake . This place has gone to the dogs , we came here last year and it was lovely but not so this time . They have taken away the seating inside so it’s outdoor seating only, we was charged £14.90 for a latte, a cappuccino a picece of cake and a piece of cheesecake, the drinks came in cardboard cups and tasted awful , they tasted like powdered drinks topped up with hot water instead of proper drinks , they were plonked down on the table , we wasn’t asked if we needed any sugar and none was provided and we wasn’t even given a spoon , but I expect that would have been a bit of stick if they brought one , the drinks ended up in the dustbin , which by the way is sat right next to the eating area, the cheese cake was given to us in what appeared to be a styrene burger box with a plastic fork and the cake was just put in a paper bag , no plate or spoon to eat it with . Such a shame as on our previous visit last year we sat inside , had REAL cups and saucers and EVEN a real spoon and the cakes were served on REAL plates WITH forks to eat it with . Come on peaches and cream , if your charging those sort of prices at least respect your customers as without us you wouldn’t have a business, and you have just lost two customers as we won’t be returning , you get better treatment at McDonald’s and that’s saying something . Very disappointing.

Great milkshakes just unfortunately we never receive straws with them and they’re thick shakes so really hard to use normal sized straws that we have at home so a little disappointing

The driver pinched our food and the manager of the restaurant (Creams) had to personally remake our order and bring it put herself. Definitely not acceptable!

Amazing shakes, quick delivery & great value. Only thing negative to say, was no straw, but didn't stop me drinking it and doesn't affect my rating!

Order a milkshake? Enjoy them putting a ton of ice cubes in to water it down and save some pennies. What the heck. I'd give negative points if I could. How difficult is it to put milk and ice-cream into a blender? Literally over HALF of a 7 (SEVEN) quid milkshake was ice cubes. Most of them not blended, see picture.

Gorgeous treats, they couldn’t fulfil part of my order but rang me promptly so that I could choose something else and added an extra pot of icecream with a lovely not apologising for any inconvenience. 5⭐️

Waffles really good, but charging 6.95 for the smallest piece of carrot cake is mind blowing! Seriously sort it out 👎

Came in last night with my son and niece and had a really good experience. Seems to be under new management who were very attentive, helpful and nice. My son has a severe sesame allergy and they took this very seriously which is always appreciated. The food was well presented and fresh and my son and niece said their waffle and crepe were "amazing!" and "really delicious!" Large portion sizes and loads of options.

Fantastic service, really nice food and massive portions the waffles are to die for!

Went last summer and the staff were awful. They were rude and it felt like I was just an inconvenience by being there. And everything felt rushed and unorganised. However it's reopened under new management and its lovely. Polite staff who were are really friendly, the food was perfect, will 100% be coming next time I'm on the beach.

Waffles are very nice and a good amount of toppings. VERY much let down by the poor management, staff were very rude, as we came 30mins before closing they didn't want to serve us at first, wouldn't turn the pancake machine back on so had to settle for waffles. Love waffles but won't return until better staff training o3 new management.

A warning to anyone who's vegan/has allergies: THEY NEVER HAVE THE VEGAN CREPE/WAFFLE MIX! We've been a few time and at this point, there's no point in asking. The staff aren't polite and are not willing to help with any inquiries. Sure the food is nice enough, but not worth all the hassle of even trying to order what you want to eat. If I could give it less stars, I would.

A message for the business owner - Pull out your finger! Poor business acumen leaving your business in the hands of young and unexperienced individuals (their pretty much TikTok generation kids with poor initiative and customer service skills). My review reflects many other's experience at Creams. Fix up before it's too late!!

Absolute joke this place. Got loads of kids in there doing nothing, meant to be working. I walked in with my daughter. No one in front of me waited for about 5 minutes. No acknowledgement....I asked is anyone serving they looked at me like I was an alien from space! Anyway walked out ....been in here before very expensive and never great! Don't waste your money.

If I could give this no stars I would! AVOID this place, we walked in just before 8pm, I had phoned ahead to check closing time as website says 9pm . The girl on the phone said 8.45pm. So plenty of time to eat a dessert. However on arrival all the chairs in seating area were on the tables so I asked if we could sit down. No the girl said we don’t allow people to sit in after 8pm. I said but you don’t close until 8,45pm she replied we need time to clean down! There was no one else in there and I counted 3 staff standing doing nothing apart from looking at us in disgust that we’d walked in and they might have to do something! My daughter then notice that on the door it actually said they closed at 23.00. One of the girls said yes it’s wrong it needs changing. We were then told it was take out only and that was there policy after 8pm, however the price was no different to the eat in menu! creams of Scarborough this is why businesses fail we were 2 families of 4 for the sake of wiping a table down after we left you lost our custom. Maybe when you do get round to changing that door you should state that it’s take out only after 8pm, maybe then adjust your prices to match other take out dessert shops in the area or change this policy completely to allow customers to sit down in your restaurant. Then you might get some customers in your empty restaurant after 8pm. Very poor customer service. We went onto holy cow which was totally amazing and lots cheaper. So if your reading this and looking for a great dessert with friendly staff go there instead! Unfortunately this lady can’t offer eat in but her prices reflects this.
