Not a bad effort. Lovely setting, could do a lot more with the outside seating area.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch with a friend on Monday. Our waitress was very polite & friendly & attentive but not overly. Helena helped us to order an adjusted meal & we followed through with dessert. Top experience, thank you!!

The food is always ok here, never my first choice locally. Normally the service is dreadful, slow and mistake ridden but tonight we had a lovely, very professional server - Helena - and had no issues whatsoever.

Cosiest pub around Ruislip! Great service. Highly recommended! Food is on point and especially the Guinness! You won’t be disappointed. Slainte ☘️

Excellent service, good food and plentiful portions

We were served by Helena who made the whole experience very enjoyable because of her helpful and delightful manner. Will definitely recommend to friends. In particular we enjoyed the bacon chop with the large serving of pineapple. Really excellent.

Nice pub, right on the canal, with pretty view across the basin. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Our waitress, Helena, was super efficient, friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome . Always lovely food here but today, sadly, a chunk of the tough outer skin of roasted garlic ended up in the mushroom starter which was a bit off-putting as very hard and unpleasant. Apart from that the beetroot arancini was superb and the fishcakes were delicious. I come here a lot with friends, either for lunch or dinners, as we always have a great time.

Lovely pub on the Grand Union Canal. Sat in garden and ordered via the app. Food arrived promptly and was delicious. Staff friendly although once food delivered we were not "checked on" ....but all was well so not a problem. Sun shining always helps ✨️

This has to be one of my favourite Canal side pubs with lots of history in the surrounding area & lovely walks by the canal. After many years (10+) coming here I'd through I'll finally leave a comment 😊 Every time I'm passing bye on my Canal boat I always try and moore up near by for my 2 weeks stay & pop in and see Martin and his team. What's to like? A Great location,A nice garden with lots of tables. Free WiFi. A good selection of cask ale 🍺 &🍷 + Gin,Whiskey & cocktails available. Also Tea,coffee for the non drinkers & soft drinks for the kids. Doggy beer (water) is available for your pooches and well behaved dogs can have a doggy treat. Ask the staff. Muddy paws 🐾 are welcome at the bar but not in the restaurant. 🐕🐩🐶 Bar snacks available. A menu that changes every few months. (As with any village Inn It's not Cheap ££ but if you want cheap go down the local cafe!). But with a great menu on offer there is always something interesting on it & sometimes I have hard time choosing what to have to eat 😋 If you like your Sunday Roast pop in & try one,very nice. For the early morning person they do a lovely Breakfast/brunch menu (see my photos of the breakfast I had). Check the opening times for breakfast or just call them. What's not to like? Right PARKING...Let's get this out of the way, it's FREE for pub guests. YOU just need to enter your vehicle's registration at the console just inside the pub entrance or at the bar,any problems see the staff for help. If you forget to then you could be in for a fine! If you just want to park & take a walk along the Cancel then you Pay! There are a lot parking signs around the car park telling you to enter your registration at the pub so you can't really say you didn't see them!!. It can get INSANELY busy on a nice day and you may have to wait for your food,so just warning you! So sit back and relax,watch the Canal boats or the Ducks go by & have a drink🍷🍻 🙂 while you wait. Lastly, The WiFi here is ok Overall imho it's a nice place to relax and have a drink & grab a bite to eat. So if your passing by on your Canal boat or by car or just on foot drop in and check the Cory Carp out you may like it, just like I do. 😎 Enjoy! Excellent dog friendly pub with brilliant service. Portion sizes are plentiful. Jess was brilliant accommodating for a wheel chair user, despite being in the bar offering to take the order at the table.

Been coming here for years with friends and family, never had a bad experience. Helena & Natalie are an asset to this establishment, they were very helpful and quick in bringinh orders. Top class service from both and 5 ⭐️s

A fair and reasonably priced menu. Service has improved significantly under current management. Helena’s service this evening was second to none.

Service was incredibly slow and we had booked our table not just a walk in. Food OK but some had clearly been sitting around waiting for other dishes to be prepared.

Helena as our waitress made the experience more enjoyable.

Didn't eat here, but the service was great, the setting was lovely and the carpark came in very handy when we broke down! Popped in for drinks whilst waiting for the AA!

Lunch with my son.....served quickly and with a bright smile. My son had Calamari starter which he said was good. I skipped a starter. My son had the bacon chop meal. Unfortunately no chuncky fries were available so skinny ones served instead. He said the meal was delicious. I however was not so pleased with my sheperds pie.....so small and sloppy and served with more gravy and SALAD....which I thought was very strange....thought it should have vegetables, so.will not choose that again. Desserts were lovely......so a mixed review really..... I have had better meals there in the past.

Delicious Sunday lunch here, plenty of easy free* parking and opportunity to walk along the pretty canal after. *Remember to input your car reg number else you may get charged by parking people.

Came as a guest to celebrate a Golden Wedding (party of 8) Starters and mains were very large portions and delicious. Mini pudding 🍮 crème Brulle however virtually served in an egg cup !! Given a desert spoon to eat it with which didn't even fit in the dish which caused a laugh. Used coffee spoon. Wouldn't call it mini more minutes.. Other mini puddings were about the size I would serve as ordinary portion. Would however definitely recommend The Coy Carp for ambience surroundings and food and service. Will define back.

Have visited Coy Carp 3 times in last 3 weeks, as it had been recommended by friends, and have had good food and service each time. Good food, wide selection of beers and dog friendly section too. Will be visiting again soon with more friends. Can highly recommend, and praise is not given lightly from me. I also used the Coy Carp for a Wake following my late brothers funeral and they could not have been more supportive, sympathetic and accommodating to our needs on what was a very emotional day for myself and my family. Martin and his team went above and beyond our expectations and everyone present commented on this. Thank you to all at the Coy Carp.

Staff were great however food order came to £37 for just sharing platter triple cooked chips didnt come with slaw as ordered - lunch time visit no check back - sadly took me a few years to return - still no improvement

I hadn’t been to the Coy Carp in years and decided to try it again on a whim. I’m glad I did. There was plenty of seating inside and out on a Saturday evening in summer. There was lots of food to choose from, and everything we ordered was delicious and homemade. The service was excellent. It looked like the interior had recently been refurbished and to a high standard. Will definitely be returning.

My prawn and scallops bake had no scallops in. The roast dinner was not hot, and no salt was available, so not a good experience, and it was a birthday meal. After calling Coy carp, I spoke to Martin, the manager, who was a very nice person. He apologised for the bad experience I had and could not have been any more sincere, and offered myself and my husband a free meal when where ready. This place is one of the best restaurants i have ever been to, I recommend it 💯. 👌🏾 Thank you, Martin 😊 today's my birthday, and Coy carp have made my day. Jill.

Aubergine gratin was super delicious! The veggie burger was filling - we've had a veggie burger elsewhere that was almost like meat it real fooled us. We enjoyed eating in the garden, but had to change tables because an umbrella was broken, and we had to put it up ourselves. But inside is pleasant and inviting. Lovely.

The food was really good as was the service….I just thought out waitress could have done with a little more training. She brought me a soda water instead of a tonic to have with my Gin…which I’d asked for, I didn’t mind but it’s something that could be improved on.

Great service by Trina and bar staff, food was nice, could be better, the skewer was a bit dry, but overall a happy experience, will come back.

The salad my partner had was not freshly made. How do I know? Well, she asked for no onions, so they were removed from the top but not from any further down. Glad it's just preference and not allergy. Also, her chicken was tepid instead of warm, and the salad was only dressed at one end. My slow cooked pork was good, but it came out on a bed of mash, which had obviously been kept under a heat lamp or similar 🤔 judging by the crust on the top. The service, from Nathalie, was first rate. The position of the establishment is very nice, with a river on one side and a canal on the other.

I have not been here for years, and was delighted to find how good it is now. Very pleasant and spacious ambience in the dining room. Good choice of dishes on the menu, we both really enjoyed our lunch. Prices are very reasonable. Our waitress was lovely, and professional - a star.

Latest: Has it changed? No, however, the garden area is really untidy and needs a good clean. Picturesque, traditional pub. More seating out than in. Lovely place to be, especially on a sunny day. When busy, you can wait a while for food and drinks. On these days it's best to get there early and to book in advance. The pub has very pleasing views in and out. We found our waiting staff to be friendly and polite. They dealt with all requests happily and efficiently. The ambience of the place is amazing. Quaint Bridge, characterful decor and features

Great food and good location. Lots of tables. Friendly service. Quite close to an airstrip, so expect many small aircraft buzzing around if you sit outside. QR code ordering system doesn't 100% match the options on the menu, so we had to order at the bar.

I had come with a friend during week for lunch and we both thought great menu choice, well presented, fantastic service so returned with hubby for Sunday Roast. I had beef he had trio. Food was fantastic, found all staff so helpful and hard working giving 100% . Had a cosy corner table with our little dog by the bar. We will be back for sure. Thank you Coy Carp!

Loved this place. The food was pretty good, but best of all is the beautiful setting it is placed in next to a river and scenic surroundings. The inside is nice and warm, service was good from all the staff. Would recommend a visit.

The staff were utterly amazing! The food was lovely and everyone really enjoyed their meals immensely but for me, the outstanding part of the day was the staff who looked after us, especially a young woman with glasses. I cannot praise her enough!
