Cowley Inn in Hillingdon

Ate three times before no problems unfortunately ordered last night and the chicken and mushrooms was mouldy the egg fried rice was greasy and no eggs it’s a shame because it’s my local but will never eat again or would not recommend to anyone

This is my go to Chinese. They always deliver promptly and the food is always good. I've tried others, but none are as good. Sometimes they deliver extremely fast.

Spent £60 on food only for half if it to either not turn up or wrong thing sent.. nearly half an hour later they finally turn up with the items but the rest is now cold! Total waste of money and as for discount offered for next time.. there will not be a next time!

Egg fried rice had hardly any egg in it and the spring rolls were tiny. The curry was ok . Not again

We had chicken curry and the chicken was just lumps of fat. We have used Cowley inn for years and this was the worst meal we have had. Looking at other reviews it looks like we will have to find another Chinese restaurant for our treats.

Paid over £40 for a Chinese for two and were looking forward to enjoying it watching the rugby. When it arrived, I had to go outside as the driver couldn't find us which is fine but he was just waiting in the car. The restaurant only opened at 5pm but he had called to say he couldn't find us at 5.15pm. (Delivery was estimated for 6pm). The main gripe though was the quality of the food. It was truly awful. All cold apart from the fritters. The hor douerves were dry and cold. The special dinner curry had leaked the sauce and was tasteless. The plum sauce which came with the other one just tasted of salt. The pork in the set dinner was so over cooked (and cold) you could actually snap it, definitely not cooked today. When I phoned to complain, the kitchen said that is just how they cook it! I will not eat there again and I suggest you don't either. No refund offered and the kitchen did not even offer to speak to me. The lady who answered the phone did apologise though. Avoid! Such disgusting food and customer service.

Absolutely rubbish placed my order 5-15 they emailed me to cancel my order at 7 to say they have cancelled my order No telephone call or reason why just refunded my card Will never use them again And will let everybody know in my neighborhood know

The food arrived quickly, but the food was horrible. Chicken was like frozen nothing fresh about anything. The sweet&sour sauce was very weird& bright pink. Had to pick the chicken out of the chicken curry couldn’t even eat all our food.

Good food, I order here regularly. It’s a shame about a lot of the 1 star reviews too of people saying they ordered there all the time but 1 not so good experience led to a 1 star review and another saying the food was great but someone else got their food first…. ….. very good food and very reasonably priced too.

Customer service good, delivered promptly and piping hot. Enjoyed the wonton soup, satay skewers and pork. Everything is well cooked and fresh. Singapore noodles lacked a little depth of flavour and Sui mai dumplings were average. Otherwise would have been 5 stars!

Not enough potions for the price

Food is quite ok, just the egg fried rice wasn't up that great today the rest was tasty.

They are 'cash only' which is a rarity these days. And very poorly, from a customer service perspective, they do not tell you when you place your order on the phone but only when you arrive to collect : meaning that you have to trapse around the corner to an ATM .. as an alternative to just walking away . Crispy chilli beef good : aromatic duck presented in chunks, not shredded, so lacks usual expected flavour : otherwise OK but nothing to write home about. Would I patronise again ? = No.

Tasty food. Great customer service. The lady who takes the orders over the phone is the most fantastic/witty woman I've ever come across! All round great service. From taking the order to the delivery at my door. 5*

Always good food. No MSG used in cooking otherwise I would have arterial fribulation. Benn using this takeaway for more than 20 years. Used to be called Phoenix. Always good food. And reasonable prices. Keep it up guys 👍❤️

Half my food didn't come. Their phone isn't working. Not impressed .

Had spring rolls honey bbq spare ribs beef curry egg fried rice beef chow main highlight spring roll wont be ordering again

We order here all the time but tonight it was vile. The chips and spring rolls were not a normal colour. Over cooked and all you could taste was grease. Absolutely disgusting.

Fresh friendly service the duck is to die for.

Not a bad takeaway but the crispy seaweed starter was covered in sugar ... far too sweet for me anyway. Nice staff and easy to park outside. Get the seaweed sorted and I go for 4 or even 5 stars but only 👍👍👍at the minute 😉

Nice food it's a shame the young Chinese man on the front counter is so rubbish at his job I meen how hard is it to serve customers in the order they arived like I say good food but I will never return while they have an inaequate on the front counter plenty of others around.

The food is bland and tasteless, really dissapointed with it, we spent £40 & have left well over half as the food is honestly quite unpleasant.

Got a delivery through just eat and hated every dish. Ordered ribs, very bland and tough. Vermicelli noodles beef and chicken, both were bland. 4 other dishes were all bland and nearly all of it ended up in the bin! One of the worst Chinese meals I've had in a very long time!

Brilliant tasty food , always our go to chinese!

I have ordered from here many times, and it is usually very good, but today the food was tasteless and carelessly produced. Also the delivery driver tried to short change me, when I pointed this out to him he said he didn't have the right change. I wont be ordering from them again.

I have been a customer for over 18 months and the food is always superb , cooked brilliantly with really top class ingredients. I can especially recommend any King Prawn dish - the prawns are succulent and so large .Many thanks to all the fabulous staff and chefs .
