Food is a little pricy, but overall not bad.

Prices are ridiculously high and we were robbed of £13!!! We only noticed on arriving home as we were in a rush. Cashier overcharged us and never gave us a receipt and thereafter disappeared. Terrible service.

The workers aren’t well-trained. The food isn’t clearly marked with allergens. I found a gluten free panna cotta with blueberries and the package label listed allergens, and it was ostensibly gluten free. It was incredibly tasty! I’m pretty sure the baked goods on the separate cart were gluten free- made with almond flour, etc but they were not labeled with any ingredients so I couldn’t tell. The workers told me one of the salads had a gluten-containing vegetable protein so I had to avoid that, but they were not knowledgeable about gluten free beyond that. The food line wasn’t long but atmosphere was crowded and the tables were dirty. The bathroom line was incredibly long down the hallway, so I left.

For a quick snack inside the British museum it's fine, but nothing special...

I went to the British Museum for 6 days and had coffee and snacks here each time. Of course, there are some staff members who are not bad at dealing with customers, but on average the coffee was not very good and the staff seemed unmotivated. We have 20,000 tourists visiting every day, so it's a shame that our job now has to deal with the large number of customers in front of us rather than providing good customer service. Still, I wanted to spend as much money as possible on the British Museum, so I purchased various items each time. The cinnamon rolls were very tasty.

Great little cafe conveniently located in an awesome museum. Prices aren’t cheap but it isn’t unreasonable. Well worth it for the convenience of extending a stay at the museum without going hungry. I had low expectations seeing the negative comments about price / dietary restrictions but was pleasantly surprised. It isn’t a Tesco or a Michelin star restaurant but great for a museum cafe.

During the visit to the British Museum, I had a simple meal at the Court Cafe in the atrium. I ordered a set meal for 11 pounds, which included a bottle of drink (pink lemon juice with berry flavor), a sandwich (ham and lettuce flavor), and a dessert (chocolate Mousse?), overall it's a satisfying meal, but maybe because it's a Sunday, it's crowded, the seats are hard to find and the food is a bit rough. It can only be regarded as a meal to fill the stomach.

Visited today at 1:30pm and had a £11 meal deal. Staff struggled with customer facing: didn’t get any acknowledgment and I basically was just told to tap my debit card. I asked for a tray and the member of staff looked inconvenienced and handed over a dirty tray with some sticky sauce and some cheese gratings. Staff needs to be managed and trained to adequately handle customer facing and be taught some basic good manners

Absolutely nothing gluten free to eat. Nowhere to refill water bottles in the museum. I'm having to leave 2 hours earlier than I planned because I need food and water. Yes I could buy a plastic bottle of water here, but I won't do that on principle. What century is the BM in?

A lovely location but an uncomfortable experience. I can just about tolerate the thievery and exploitation upon which the very existence of the British Museum is founded, but no amount of historical context or creative internationalism could justify the price of my coffee and cake. And despite having literally just bought said coffee and cake, we were told we had to leave immediately for the museum was closing, the plates taken from under our noses. Why did they serve us if this was the case? Just like the original owners of most of the exhibited items, our experience was ignored and our personhood was undermined. We were charged £8 for the pleasure. I know it's just a cafe at a museum, and that I am grateful for and enriched by the British Museum as a source of knowledge and space of learning, but, like, get your coffee and cake somewhere else. If you're going to this museum to find enlightenment or understanding, don't let this cafe take you for a fool.

Consistently rude service. Don’t think I’ve ever seen the woman with blonde hair smile! Surely she’s in the wrong job! Coffee and food are good. But really not worth it for the curt staff.

The tea was basically plain water and the pumpkin spiced late tasted like water from a sink. Definitely can’t recommend it.

After a long day traveling, The Royal George was our first stop in London. So glad we did. Friendly Scottish banter, Ged and Sam couldn’t do enough for me and my family. If you are in the area, be sure to pay this place a visit. You won’t be disappointed We’ll be back 👍
