Went for a quick lunch while visiting the area. It's definitely worth it, the food was great!

Walked in randomly off the street, feeling a little peckish, with an hour to kill, so ordered the chicken burger and ate every last crumb. If the rest of the menu is as good, then the food here is fantastic. The single burger filled me up comfortably, but I did manage to finish the chips.... just. Great value for money. I, for one, would definitely visit again if I'm in the area. Thanks for the great food.

As a solo diner, and not being a local, I googled options for vegan food in the area and Sandra's Corner came up. I wanted a small independent place to eat where I would feel comfortable eating on my own. The reviews were great and my food order didn't disappoint! Lovely pizza with a thin and crispy base, followed by Trillionaires Tart which was very decadent! Sandra was a delight, so helpful and friendly. If I'm back in the area, I'd definitely visit again!

Wanted to try this place for a while now. Ordered take out bbq pork roll and chips. We were not disappointed!! Good size portions of very yummy hot food. Can't wait to go back, we will eat in next time. Thank you!!

My wife and I went for lunch on the 3rd of August to order porto dish known as a francesinha, it was amazing it was just like being back in the city, a sandwich of sausage ham steak fried egg on top of the bread encased with cheese in a bear sauce, all served with chips, Not for the faint hearted Stunning Dean&Ann

Just finishing eating at Sandra’s corner and had to jump on and leave a review while I’m still sitting in my seat! Why? Because this is one of the best meals I have had in a very long time!! If you want flavoursome food… eat here! If you want the freshest food… eat here! If you want reasonable priced food… eat here! Basically just eat here, you will not be disappointed!! They offer eat in or takeaway and everything is so fresh. Can honestly say it was the best pizza outside of Italy!!! (Maybe even better than in Italy 😉)

We stopped here on our way home... we like to try to eat nicer food than what is offered in services. What a lovely find. Fabulous pizza and the dough balls were sublime. This is freshly made food that is gorgeous. We also really enjoyed our doggy bag of desserts on the way home. Thank you Sandra for looking after us so well.

Amazing ribs, had the hottest sauce and was warned it was really hot. They were hot but didn't overpower the amazing flavour. There are plenty of gluten-free options and really friendly staff.

Went with a group of five, and we all loved our food! My francesinha was one the most amazing meals I've had in a long time, largely due to the sauce. (But don't order this particular dish unless you're ready for a lot of food!) In fact, the sauces were top notch all around!

What a joke they are the worst place and so rude and useless they refused to refund me yet they explicitly said that MY order was given to a random person in a jeep they didn’t call me or ask the person for the name just handed the food of and said it’s too late he’s back now bearing in mind I spent £40 for them to steal. And they said oh well they’re eating your food now

Absolutely brilliant food, atmosphere and Sandra is a superstar making you feel so welcome. We cannot rate it highly enough, we were on a stop over on our travels and this will definitely be a must go to place on our next journey 🤩

Would give more stars if I could. After messing up my order myself, Sandra was an absolute angel and redid my order. After a long 13 hour shift this was so much appreciated. The food is always so scrumptious and even my other half, who is gluten free, can enjoy a treat from Sandra's Corner.

Best Portuguese restaurant in Grantham

Good place to go for lunch or dinner, very good and well prepared food, good indoor and outdoor space, 5-star staff

So, I’ve noticed 'Sandra's' for a while now and to be honest, i presumed it was your run of the mill English caff. Far from it. The owner 'Sandra' is Portuguese and the fare is naturally 'Portuguese" I only wanted a light bite so picked the ‘Prego’ (its beef) Sandwich which I washed down with a couple of cups of coffee. So the verdict, the café is clean and tidy , the service was impeccable and the food didn’t take long to arrive and my oh my it was to die for. For the life in me I cannot understand how people frequent the chain store food places in town when this is but a stones throw away and serves far superior food and at an equivalent price if not cheaper. For me , this is my new place to go.

Thought we would try this for a change to our normal takeaway but we were very disappointed. The bread was hard and you could only taste cheese and nothing else in the steak sandwich. The chicken burger wasn't any better. Certainly won't be ordering again. Waste of money !!

Came here yesterday and I must say the food was amazing. Sandra was great at explaining the traditional Portuguese cuisine. The food was amazing. Definitely be coming back again.

Just had our food delivered and to start with they forgot our cans of coke, didn’t have cheese on the garlic pizza like I asked. Pizzas was stone cold and stale and the chips had been reheated so was disgusting. Waste of money! Won’t be ordering from here again!

Overpriced! The £15 sandwich was awful, cheap meat and no flavour, the sauce was like chilli and tomato soup and was horrible. The milkshake was undrinkable. Pork and potatoes were quite nice. But in all, seriously disappointed:(

OMW so delicious! Got a prego with garlic mayo and a bafana, and shared some roasted baby potatoes. 1 roll could easily have been split between the 2 of us, but so reasonably priced. Definitely going back soon!

Entering Sandra’s corner for the first time felt warm and extremely welcoming. The staff is incredibly polite and friendly so don’t be afraid to call for a takeaway, dine in or ask questions! The ambience is comforting as the interior is simplistic and the decorations are modern and pleasing to the eye. This takeaway/dine in cafe focus on great, yummy food that will definitely leave you satisfied and they also focus on eco friendly utensils and storage boxes when ordering a takeaway. If you like to eat meat, pizza, sandwiches, chips or is gluten free, vegetarian and vegan, they offer a wide range of choices for you to have. If you fancy a pizza, they provide you with great amount of options so that you are able to choose what you want as topping - (vegetables, meat, fish.) I don’t think the cost expensive either and you eat delicious food in the end :)

Visited here on way to skegness been driving around for a while for a place that do sausage batches not many places around for that.. found this corner cafe very friendly and helpful nice separate room for us to eat which was perfect for our autistic son as he can get very irrated eating in places but seemed calmer as we were in our own little room xx

Dropped into Grantham hungry on a Sunday morning on a long drive up the A1, and couldn't find anywhere open - then slammed on the brakes driving past "COSY ORNER CAFE" (they may have lost a C somewhere) - which didn't look up to much, but had an "Open" sign in the window. The decor is, well "1950s boarding house parlour" might be the nice way to put it - not exactly appealing, but unpretentious and yes, in its own way cosy. Tables and chairs are solid and uncrowded. A few other customers in already, who looked up, but didn't start muttering or staring. The waitress who emerged from some other room arrived quickly and was bright and friendly: so far, so good. To be honest, we had mainly called in to use the toilets and get a cup of tea, but it felt worth taking a gamble on the food. The gamble paid off. I ordered a full English (reasonably-priced at about £6 including extra toast) - noted that the menu (which is all solid traditional British fare) specifically invites customers to request any substitutions that they wish and the cafe will try to accommodate - 2 bacon, 2 sausage, fried egg, beans, mushrooms, fried bread. My wife wasn't going to eat but saw a fellow customer being served a roast dinner (at 10.30am) and decided to go for that - several large slices of roast beef (nicely browned, none of yer fancy continental pink), roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, yorkshire pudding, carrots and leek - £6. We shared an enormous pot of tea (later topped up with hot water on request). So what? Well, the reason I am bothering to enter this cafe's details on Tripadvisor and write this review is that this was, without exaggeration, one of the best meals I have ever eaten out of the house. The food is absolutely first rate - top ingredients, well cooked and presented, served with genuine hospitality. This appears to be a family-run business, reflected in the quality of food and service. Next time I am driving down the A1 I will definitely be turning off at Grantham.
