Lovely staff and absolutely stunning food - we never leave disappointed! And as a recommendation, try the iced vanilla macha!

Beautiful restaraunt with amazing food. The only disappointment was the glasses and water pitcher were covered in dry water marks so didn't feel "clean".

Fantastic for Gluten free! They had plenty to choose from, food and service were brilliant.

Visited the cosy club for the first time in the buttermarket Ipswich and was served tea in the dirtiest teapot I've ever seen! Will not be returning.

My partner and I came for dinner and drinks, and had quite the mixed evening. Cocktails were good, even if it took 15minutes to get them. The starter portions are very small, but quite tasty (beef and bacon croquettes, you get 2). The duck was delicious, but the mains don't come with any sides for some strange reason, so those need to be ordered separately. The rioja was the highlight of the evening, and its hard to get that wrong. The deserts were "okay". The staff seemed to be on holiday abroad throughout, with only one member of staff actually doing their job on the floor - which left our cocktail glasses, shot glasses, and the glasses for water, all piled up at the side of a table that seats two. I had to specifically ask for someone to do their job and actually come and collect the pile of used glasses so there was room to breath. Overall, it's overpriced mediocrity staffed by a cooking team and a single server. If it was busy then I'd understand the lack of attention to customers and their tables, but when a restaurant as large as this is filled to a capacity that barely exceeds double digits its hard to find a reason for the terrible service. Wouldn't recommend coming here, and we won't be returning in the future - we had to go to ocean fish platter after just to salvage our evening. 2/10.

Food is of excellent quality, much better than expected from a chain restaurant. We had plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options, as well as good steaks, to suit all of the group of 12. Beers at about pub prices. Wine by the glass close in price (per unit) to wine by the bottle. Good choice of wines. Fun atmosphere.

Love the food options for a Sunday hangover Bloody Mary. But my word the service is slow for food delivery

We went on a quiet Tuesday night .. the food was good service was attentive. They made pancakes for the kids even though it is generally only on breakfast menu. When there was a misunderstanding over the order - the team rectified asap and without question which is always a nice touch.

I met a lady there and all we had was a coffee. Very good coffee.

Lunch with friends, lovely lunch and coffee/tea. Felt a bit chilly, maybe turn the heating up a notch and some brighter light bulbs too as it seemed a tad on the dark side.

Very very average. Small menu with half not available. Fridges behind bar half full so half drinks not available. Short staffed so who is working is rushed off their feet and no time for any sort of customer service. Food turned up luke warm and just about weatherspoon standards. Staff dumped food on the table no offer of sauces ect never saw him again. Not the staffs fault as they have to much to do it's management cutting staff to make profits. When will these chain companies releases if you don't have customers you don't have a business so you need to give the customer the best experience when they have chosen to eat and spend their money in your restaurant. I don't wish to return so there because of the lack of customer services and a general lack of care you have lost two customers. There are only so many customers and if you don't have any it's close the door time. It will be closed within 18 months if it's not ill eat my words and return.

It was a quiet morning. We went for breakfast. It was over an hour before we gave up on waiting for the food. We had to leave without getting our food as we had an appointment to get to. I got the impression from the staff that people giving up waiting was normal for them.

A very poor experience all round. We booked a table for 6pm, it took five minutes for someone to even seat us. Our order was finally taken after fifteen minutes. Our starter did not arrive until 6.40pm and was tepid. Our main course arrived at 7pm, in two parts, mine first then after five minutes I had to ask a waiter where my wife's main course was. My main course was very nice; however my wife's burger was actually pink in the middle and hadn't been cooked properly, she had eaten some of it before she realised. The service was appalling, despite asking for water twice, we didn't get any until asking a third time. We complained and the staff agreed we would pay for the burger and didn't charge for our drinks, but still paid £27 for a really poor service and a bad meal. We were unable to have dessert as we had booked to watch a show and the late service meant we didn't have time. Really awful rushed atmosphere as well. We went having heard some good things but won't return, it really spoiled a nice evening out.

I've tried to have luch with my wife and my 1 year old son, but unfortunately, we have been waiting over 20 minutes and nobody took our order. Was only 1 lady working on the floor, running for one table to another. The menu was looking very interesting and I was planning to get Butcher's Brunch but I had to leave.

This was ok. Just it took so long to get 5 drinks. Coffee was burnt and just cold when we actually got it . Staff were friendly but just not a place to be to get a coffee. Staff didn't know the difference between a latte and cappuccino and the glass of coke was vial. Tasted like a cola pop had been melted. Was not carbonated and flat. Even from a glass bottle would have been better as it seemed so watered down. Perhaps because it was sat waiting to be served for so long....

Great place to go for some fine dining and a cosy drink

Food and drinks are awesome, the venue is lovely and ‘cosy’, if you are in town or visiting Ipswich i can’t recommend this place enough, for the beer lovers out there, i recommend the Hofmeister! Great pint and a great glass

We took our Granddaughter here for brunch before we went to the pantomime. She loves coming here as she loves the pancakes. Today unfortunately she was out of luck as they had run out of them and weren’t expecting any until Monday. How do you tell an 8 year old that a restaurant has run out of her favourite. We had a few tears and would have gone somewhere else but we’re tight for time. Come on Cosy Club this is not good service. We didn’t really even get an apology.

I very recently visited for diner, prior to going to the theatre. I chose to eat from the Christmas menu, choosing 3 courses. Service was great, and the food exceeded expectations, the belly pork in particular being a delight. The Cosy Club is always my choice when visiting the centre of Ipswich for a meal prior to an evening out, good food, nice atmosphere and professional, but friendly service.

Tha food was lovely, gluten free menu too! All was good, Our only fault was the male staff member, who took our food order!! He brought out( after a long wait) starters and main together, well no good eateries will do that, you have your starters and then main about 15 min later, when we mentioned it and said that we were not happy, he basically said that yes I know I wrote the order down wrong, he was not pleasant and said it was our fault!! Won't be eating there again, it spoilt our evening, it was hubby's 60th birthday too!! We got a discount off the bill, from the lady server, but the man was very rude!

Had the service been up to scratch the overall rating would be higher. When you order food, starter followed by mains you expect there to be a gap in-between courses!! Not according to the waiter who served us! Both courses arrived at same time so the mains would be getting cold whilst eating the starters! He was most taken aback when I asked for the mains to be taken away and made fresh when first course finished! It was a steak which takes 15 mins to cook, over an hour after starter finished and numerous reminders given before food finally arrived! This was very nice but it was obviously a deliberate delaying tactic by the staff! Spoilt what was a birthday celebration dinner!

Just came out of restaurant and had to write a review, food was perfect, really impressed Service was fantastic, Nial served us and was so professional it made us feel really special, he seemed like he'd been doing it for Years, was super surprised he'd only been doing this job for 6 Months loved the decor too, was really quirky and Interested, added character and gave you lots to look at etc can't wait to return

The food is OK but not many choices and very over priced. There was over an hour between us ordering and food being brought which wasn't great. However staff are very friendly and lovely cocktails

Came here with friends on a Saturday and had a great time. It was nice and warm as been a little cool when we've visited in the past. We all loved our food & drinks no complaints at all. The Christmas Dec's were nice. We will return 👍😃

Have never been here before we were met and greeted and shown to our table. A very nice lady ( Paula) was our server and made us very welcome. Food very tasty with a few glasses of wine. It was 6pm and not to busy so the atmosphere was quite.

Dined on a Wednesday evening with friends for a birthday, sat down for 7.30pm, drinks order took at 7.50pm, drinks arrived at 8.10pm. Food order took at that time, food arrived at 8.45pm. Why so slow when it was not even busy. I'd hate to think how long you'd wait in a proper busy service. Lots of choices for food, but also quite expensive I think. Desserts - a good choice but expensive for what you got. Soft drinks appear to be pricier than alcoholic drinks. Good Job our bill was checked because a pint of house diet pepsi is £6.60. A pint of Henry Westons cider is £5.85 in comparison. The price was altered for me after I queried it. It is a nice place to visit,nice atmosphere.

Fantastic experience, beautiful venue. Met a lovely girl Jodie on the bar recommended a cherry whisky sour which was incredible. Couldn't recommend the place anymore.

I came here with some colleagues for a social evening, really attentive and helpful staff. I really enjoyed the dirty chicken burger.

They change staff and management like I change my underwear. Staff are polite and nice but not enough as other Clubs I've been to. Not even a year and change menus or staff ..

Gluten free, vegan ,vegetarian menus and options - I agree with another review that there are many options, more than initially listed on outside menu. They asked me before seating me if I had any allergens then offered the applicable menu. This place has a nice, relaxing atmosphere with relaxing music playing. There are restrooms for customers. There are many places to sit and different types of seating areas. There is a bar and an extensive drink menu at the tables - non-alcoholic and alcohol. I ordered Summer Green Risotto with additional chicken (gf, extra cost). Felt healthy, fresh, and was absolutely delicious; good portion size. I went during non-busy part of day. The entrance outside of Mall by the church and to left corner. Decor wonderful, old wood floors.

Came to the cosy club with friends for my husbands 60th. Everything from start to finish was excellent. The staff, the food wonderful. We had a brilliant night cosy club made very special. Would definitely recommend the cosy club for birthday celebrations 🍾

Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Basic over priced food and a moktail is £7 whilst a cocktail with 2 shots of alcohol is £10, seems far too much for a decent fancy squash.

Very slow service. In a largely empty restaurant it took almost 45 minutes to get food, and a main, a dessert and coffee took the best part of two hours. At the very end, tired and obviously wanting to leave, I was obliged to wait at least another 15 minutes before I was permitted to pay, in a near totally empty restaurant. The food was perfectly ok, but I can't recommend eating here. Who needs the stress?

I went for an evening meal with friends last night, the food was really tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. It made for a lovely cosy atmosphere.

We had a great time at Cosy Club! The food is high quality, tasty and beautifully presented. We had the arancini and think it's the best arancini we've tried! The salted caramel cheesecake was amazing too, no spoilers but it has a nice surprise to it ;) The decor is great and the staff are very good- Ben was our waiter and he looked after us so well. He was friendly, professional and went above and beyond. He made us feel really welcome. Will definitely be going back!

2 cocktails for £11.95. Can't argue with that. Great venue for a meal or just drinks.

Really lovely building and decor. The food was average, we had a club sandwich (the sourdough must have been left under the hot light too long as I was unable to bite or cut it, it was beyond crispy) and the buttermilk chicken (which was nice). The fries were great. The coffee and mock cocktail were really nice too. The only major complaint for me is the attire if our waitress (who was lovely by the way). It is wholly inappropriate to wear a fully sheer blouse which completely shows underwear (bra on full display) to serve customers food. Perhaps a standard and modest uniform should be considered.

A very relaxing place for friends and family to have lunch or coffee

I asked for the brunch, but couldn’t get it as it was 4pm… which would be ok if we hadn’t had to wait 15 minutes for a table! I went for the vegan risotto which came out cold… once reheated the small portion of risotto was hot, however the veg was woody and I was still hungry. Not worth the money, won’t be returning.

Great place to dine in. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. They were dog friendly and could accommodate diet restrictions (gluten allergy / celiac) very well. Definitely recommended if visiting Ipswich.

Had a lovely lunch if Santorini sandwich and fries. Absolutely delicious. Although the bread could be slightly more toasted We were served by Ben who was very attentive and noticed it was my birthday and gave me a complementary glass of Prosecco which I thought was a lovely personal touch. Lovely food and staff along with a nice relaxed atmosphere. I look forward to my next visit.

Came for brunch, super quick service, amazing food, great atmosphere, lovely decor. Hacienda hash was gorgeous! Will definitely be returning! We parked in the buttermarket and were in and out in just under 1.5 hours

We had a mid week dinner and the staff were so welcoming (particularly Sophie) who went above and beyond to make it a special experience. The menu was exceptional and we all had a great selection and enjoyed it thoroughly- we will be back soon!

We had an amazing experience at the cosy club Ipswich! served by both ben and Liam we had amazing service, never waited a moment for service and everything was no problem, The best hospitality I’ve had in a long time. amazing food too, I had the vegan cauliflower dish and it was really amazing unlike anything I had before. my partner had a burger and said it was great to thank you so much for a great experience! :)

I can honestly say that I won’t be returning to the costa club in a hurry, waited an hour for my food which was cold and bland and the butterfly chicken was burnt, sent back, yes they gave us 50% off the dish but no sorry no update on the food, it wasn’t busy so no excuse. I have to leave this review as a lot of restaurants are not providing the service to there customers the waitress was blasé the cocktail waiter had no personality, really don’t recommend this place at all, I’ve eaten here in the past and was spot on, but they really need to up the staff on customer service. Cocktails bland and watered down but charge you £11. Not a restaurant I will miss going too. The positive out of this is my friends had fish and that’s probably the best you’re get

feel let down . this was are favourite place in Ipswich to eat but the last two visits have not been as good went there tonight we had garlic prawns on toast it was over cooked tasted burnt . i ordered a burger and it was pink on the inside my partner had steak that was supposed to be medium rare but was rare , really feeling let down wont be going again , the waiting staff was very nice and helpful , its a shame

Came here on a Wednesday with my partner for some good food and a great time - and had exactly that! Ben, the wonderful guy who served our table for the evening, was simply brilliant. Very helpful with the menu, as well as the wine, and overall ensuring we enjoyed what we came for. We had 3 starters and a steak each, recommended by Ben, was a perfect meal and left feeling very ‘food happy’. :) In summary, a great time and a big thanks to Ben, you made our night and were a pleasure, thank you very much! An amazing experience, the place itself was lovely but the staff made the experience - the chef was wonderful and the treatment from all staff was WAY above standard - the care and efficiency put in, the dedication to detail and immaculate service has made this place my favourite!!

With its "gentlemen's club" vibe you feel immediately at home here in Cosy Club. The service was speedy and attentive and the food was scrummy: had 2 tapas - harissa torn lamb and Korean fried chicken. Chicken was devine. It was splendidly washed down with 2 pints of Moretti and a glass of house red. Set me up nicely for live music at St Peter's: The Paul Simon story, which was brilliant. Looking forward to dining at Cosy Club again😃👍🍺

Believe the hype; this place is great. Comfy and with an exceptionally high level of service and quality of food.

Great decor in the place, I feel like I should have put on a waistcoat and a pair of Brouges to visit. Love how part of its restaurant and the other is a bar. The staff were great, and when part of one of the orders was messed up, they knocked that off the bill for us. I wish they had one of these near us.

The food was absolutely lovely however the service was pretty slow and they didn't have stock of a few things. Everyone that was eating there had empty plates that needed to be cleared with staff that weren't busy. There was us and another table that went up to the bar to pay because we were waiting so long. After the mains, table service was non existent. We wanted desert but our plates weren't cleared and no dessert menu offered as a result. When we left there was a staff member laying/sitting on the floor. Although they were very polite, it was rather unprofessional. Can't fault the food though, was amazing.

Usually the food is great and service is OK. It was hard to get a drink from the bar as the bartender was flirting and not giving anyone service. Overall, it's a good place for meals but not so good for just a drink.

What had happened to this place. Used to be so good. Took 45 minutes to breakfast to arrive. Some of the order wrong and one of our parties food cold. We’d seen it sitting on the pass for at least 20 minutes. They did knock our drinks off the bill.

Food was ok a bit pricey for what you get. Service was great and reactive but they must have the same electrician that Wetherspoons employ because at midday lunch time it was dark and dreary inside.

Lovely breakfast at Cosy Club for Mothers Day this morning. Our waitress was a young girl with long brown hair (didn’t catch her name) who was brilliant, very polite and friendly. A lovely touch of a free glass of Prosecco for my Mum. Food was delicious and atmosphere was great. Thank you x
