Costa Coffee in Liverpool

I came in last week feeling terrible but a staff member called Ruby, made me feel so much better after a nice friendly chat, I know where I’m getting my coffee from now on

As others have mentioned with the anger issues, the manager is extremely rude. Even worse, she will offer you a job at one of the Allerton franchises (Optimum Group franchise) under the instructions you hand in your notice, and then when you attend, they don't know who you are, and they claim the job is no longer available. She was extraordinarily rude and abrasive when informing me of this error. Do not give your money to a company (Optimum Group) that does not follow UK employment law

Rude asian staff. As a delivery driver I’m like a colleague however she doesn’t let me to use the toilet. I proved with my phone that I’m a driver but she was extremely discriminate. I will report to uber eats and deliveroo also. Never had same issue with any places…

Was served by a guy named james. Terrible service and drink was not what I asked for. Saw him sneeze on some poor old man’s roll, the man was so nice aswell and when he asked for a refund he shouted at him

This has to be one of the worst experiences if not the worst in Costa, A really rude manager I was sitting in the table inside I had my coffee from the counter and I had a bottle of water that I bought from outside, I had my water bottle in top of the table she came to me so rudely saying you can’t have stuff from outside, I said but I had my coffee from here, she said don’t argue with me or I will ask you to leave, how rude, never going back there again 👍

I think I’ve been to over 30 Costa cafes over the course of my life and this is without a shadow of a doubt the worst one I’ve visited. The canopy above the main door is filthy and the outside has dirty chairs. The staff were miserable and I hate to type that but they truly were. The toilet which could only be accessed by a code was absolutely disgusting. It had clearly not been cleaned for a while. Absolutely shocking and a shame that an area like Mossley Hill has to put up with it on its doorstep.

James M was amazing had a great time in store I kept on talking to him and he was chatting with me in between his cleaning found the perfect coffee place to read my books in he offered great book suggestions will be my regular place now that the staff has been sorted out

Came in with my girlfriend to get a coffee and study James M was amazing he kept chatting to us as he cleaned about was talking about books we’ve read will come back

James was very helpful chatted with my grandson about marvel as he was wearing a Spider-Man shirt helped me carry my tray over to our table very nice young man will be back

This has to be the worst costa coffee ive been to. The manager was so rude she obviously has anger problems . I watched as she spoke to her staff and i was appauled that she thinks she has the right to speak to people like that 😡 i think costa really need to have a look at who they employ to manage shops as some people have a real bad attitued . The shop was a mess tables wiped with dirty clothes 😡 WILL DEFINATLY NOT BE GOING BACK HERE !!!!

My order was wrong. I asked for 2 ham and cheese toasties. But got something completely diffrent which i could not eat

Really friendly team and the usual great Costa coffee.

They dont open on time. On the door its posted 7.30 and you can clearly see the workers in but they dont whant to open till 8

I live virtually next to this costa along with a load of students who all work in customer service including myself. I never leave bad reviews because we all have bad days and I know what it’s like dealing with a customer service job. But I actually avoid this costa now because I’ve never met such insufferable, rude & miserable staff. I actually feel bad for one of the younger girls there as she seems lovely but the mixed raced lady in her 30’s/40’s and the woman with tattoos all over her neck look like they’ve been held at gun point and speak to you like it’s your fault they work there. If you don’t like your job, leave.

Always clean, friendly staff who make great coffee.

Absolutely miserable service. Took my 95 year old dad in there and asked for a milky coffee. ( not familiar with the different types of coffees available). The sales staff (Lisa) made me a coffee with milk to add. When I asked her about having a milky coffee she rolled her eyes and looked at the other sales assistant. Very disappointed with the service. Seriously we need people who want to work in hospitality to be able to serve with kindness and a smile. Not sassy attitude

Everything was great, but I like my coffee really 🔥 and this one was not, apart from that it was a very clean, had friendly staff and service was great.

Ordered 2 large coffees. 1 was full, the other was barely half full. Was supposed to be cappuccinos but never seen one like this before. Looked like basic instant coffee. Very disappointed as usually it’s very good!

Poor service, didnt clean our table from others empty tray. No communocation.

Visited the store today both Holly and Lisa are lovely girls most friendly staff always chatting and smiling with customers and I’m always in here getting my drinks lisa is great at getting the que down and making a amazing drinks always to best standards !! Store always clean and tidy

Usually understaffed especially as to how popular this place is, but customer service is good, drinks are nice, but some of the food has been left out for too long. Usually expensive, do not order ANY ICED TEAS. I made the mistake of ordering that, tasted like extremely bitter tea, and someone had squeezed in an out of date peach. Food as always is INSANELY good, mac n cheese as well as ham and cheese toastie >>>>

I used to love Costa, their service and staff were lovely but lately its very centred on speeds and its usual crowd and I think they're short staffed because yiu can stay on the queue for long minutes. The prices increased but the quality is the same

Not as quick a service as the store used to be. But still lovely coffee.

Received someone else’s order after waiting ages took over half an hour just to assign a driver. Obviously I didn’t accept the wrong order, yet delivery driver knowing it wasn’t accepted put it down as delivered Now I have to reorder and try to get a refund! No helpline, no chat to talk to a person, store won’t answer phone, all I can do is email. But now driver has put as delivered, what do I do??? Honestly don’t bother - for a business this is ridiculous 👎🏻

Food & drinks were cold will be complaining to costa avoid at all costs plus someone did not put lid on properly so my coffee went everywhere in the bag so was a waste of time

Coffee was nice but the toasties were undercooked. Staff were polite but completely disinterested. The shop itself is not very inviting, decor is sparse and cold.

Delivery on time but the store called to say all 3 cakes I ordered where unavailable, I had added a note stating No substitutions ( which has happened ALOT lately, and why I added no subs) so no cakes I asked for a refund, only when order arrived no refund included, i tried calling the store 10 times but strangely no one answered! Ridiculous if you haven’t got what I PAID for give a refund 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄

Stone cold ham and cheese toastie and coffee not worth drinking or eating delivery time was 10.05 turns up at 11.35

This Costa has only just reopened after a complete refurb and looks beautiful. The counter has more space, lighting is better and really nice chairs, it still needs a few finishing touches but is lovely overall and the staff are very friendly and make wonderful coffees☕ I recommend to all to give it a try.

Another useless Costa franchise. They are incapable of operating click and collect at all (you still have to go queue at the counter to tell them you've placed an online order at which point they start making it). Staff are so painfully slow that you'll give up the will to live before your coffee ever arrives. Oh and they never close off your online orders so you won't get your loyalty points. Hopeless

they didn’t have the toastie i originally ordered so they substituted it, they did give me a phone call but i didn’t answer which was my fault ! but they also threw in a free brownie :) food was great and came really fast !

I didn't receive my order - it was hour and half and I couldn't wait for a coffee longer than that , I had a meeting to go to . Please refund me ..

Always find this a very relaxing place to visit. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The food is a bit limited ATM, but I'm sure that will change soon.

Social distancing measures in place but coffee perfect and on time. Best take out cups around. Warm for quite a while.

Don't eat the breakfast wrap it's awful! I bought 2 for my son & I. The wraps were burnt. The egg whites were like rubber & I couldn't find the bacon! The coffee was lovely but £8 for 2 wraps as they were is wrong.

Coffee not wonderful, drowned in milk and both coffee and decaf coffee was tasteless. Coffee had 2 shots and the decaf was a coffee bag, never again.

What looks like a tiny shop from the outside is completely misleading as when you get inside, the store stretches back really far. Despite being a franchise, the store looks well maintained with plug sockets everywhere for those that need to plug in their laptops and phones. The staff seem friendly and chatty too, which helps make it a really nice place to stop for a cuppa. If you're parking nearby there's ple ty of free parking available on the side streets outside the store.

I don't frequent Costa really, because you don't get much for your money! The furnishings are nice though if that's what you like.

Good drinks but the staff let the place down - they have one person who clearly can't be bothered and it always puts a downer on our visits.

Enter the brown cave of depression if you dare! The place needs a makeover. Imagine decorating a shop with no windows in fifty shades of brown!

I never come to Costa but chose to today. I was sitting enjoying my coffee and watching mums with prams and their children get in the que. Only to my surprise I saw children grabbing drinks and crisps and pastries and putting them in the prams and then watching them check out to pay and never paying for them. Sorry but you will have no choice but to keep raising prices if this sort of practice keeps up. It's very sad but people will always find a way to get something for nothing. Concerned customer.

The lady at the till had no idea what I was asking for. I clearly pointed at the advert behind the till at what looked like a slush thing for summer and what we got was a luke warm iced tea. Really felt like I'd done something wrong and felt uncomfortable the whole time I was there. This was the first time I've been to Costa Coffee will be sticking with cafe Nero and local place from now on.
