Floor filthy tables and chairs worn out split and dirty....needs a good clean! Wouldn't recommend how hard is it to sweep floor for customers

Dreadful experience - took a client for coffee and to discuss some work. Man who o believe was manager was incredibly rude and derogatory to young girl who was working there. Coffee he made was awful! Wouldn’t return abs felt embarrassed taking client there.

The staff were polite and efficient. The coffee and latte were up to the usual standard that I expect from a Costa's. The floor like the tables was clean and tidy and as one customer left the table was cleared and wiped down.

Stopped off to do some shopping, don't live local, asked the wife if she would like a snack before shopping. She chose BLT which she said was average. I picked an egg mayonnaise, well thats what it said on the box; it was in fact one boiled egg, plus what I can only call a mist of mayonnaise no discernable sign of any butter, no taste. And using the old dodge of putting all the filling in the middle of the sandwich so when cut in half it looks full ( nothing round the edge ). When I complained to someone I thought as the manager He apologised and told me it was nothing to do with him as they are outsourced , and for the pleasure of this I was charged £3.00. Costa should employ less staff, there were 8 people working there and invest more in giving their customers a better product. The sandwich was very very poor , and the response to my complaint was pathetic. The only plus to this story is that you only get stung once

My family and I visit this branch of Costa daily, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and will remember regular customer orders. The price for coffee is the same as any espresso coffee shop...it's not overpriced for what you get. People forget that the old Tesco cafe did very cheap low quality coffee which is why it was so cheap. That suits me and others fine at times but sometimes if you want a nice espresso style coffee then Costa is perfect. They offer money off if you take cups back and use them again and the Costa loyalty scheme also means you get money off if you are a regular customer. All in all I must say that despite the coffee being good it is the friendly, welcoming attitude of the staff that being me and my family back so often

This branch of Costa has had a refit recently which has definitely made it brighter. Coffee and pastries etc are very good and service is excellent with staff greeting you and making you welcome

I do wonder why Tesco, a fair value retailer, has jumped on the overpriced coffee bandwagon. Costa (cost, yeah) and Starbucks (bucks, yeah) are expensive enough in their tarty clubroom-style premises - we do not need Tesco to betray its value-for-money heritage to push £2.75 cardboard cups of ordinary (not bad, notice) coffee.at us. Get back to £1 tea and coffee and watch the cake and sandwich sales soar!

I think Costa coffee is the best by miles. This branch is not the best I've visited, but not the worst either. It's a convenient break before or after shopping, a handy place to meet up for a chat or business meeting, or a place to grab a coffee to go. Food is ok, but as with all Costas, pricey.

I returned to the scene of a poor coffee break in the hope that things might have improved. The coffee was just the same but this time I opted for a coffee and walnut cake. This was expensive, dry and almost without taste. The overall rating with not improve until they take some care and improve their standard.

The service in Tesco's Costa Coffee was quick enough and the flavour of the coffee was OK, but the panini wasn't that hot, the tuna filling thin and watery and the melted cheese not entirely melted. When you consider we paid almost £4 for the panini plus £3 for the coffee we were left somewhat dissatisfied with the fare.

The most amazing Starbucks I’ve ever been too, the location is lovely and the store itself has so much character to it, my drink was made perfect by the friendly and helpful staff! The lady helped me pick out a coffee and she was so knowledgeable about coffee, it was so nice to actually talk to someone who not only knows everything about what they are selling but so passionate too! The store was clean and tidy, couldn’t fault it! I really enjoyed my coffee and reading my book here, made me feel like I was sitting at home! Will definitely be back when I’m in Saffron Walden next!

Good coffee and good service staff are mainly friendly and seem to know how to make a good coffee. Lots of choice food as in all starbucks is expensive for what it is but cakes are not bad this is one of the better places to refresh at this service station

Quite pricey, but a relaxing, unhurried atmosphere in attractive surroundings. Good service and so helpful to have a car park.

Lovely Pub. Outdoors has been recently upgraded and it shows. Food is currently Smash Burgers, which are great. Onion fries served alongside are a bit lacklustre. Good beers and pretty efficient staff. Will certainly go back. Only criticism is the number of young children who seem to have been left to entertain themselves. Not the pubs fault.

The pub was very busy when we arrived and extremely noisy. Happily we found a small area towards the back of the restaurant where a lovely gentleman named David was working. Welcoming people and taking orders. Such a gentleman. Calm, efficient, took the time to explain ways of payment. A noisy group of youngsters were spoken to quietly, immediate reduction in volume. Our food arrived surprisingly quickly considering how busy it was. Everything was hot, cooked well, and nicely presented, 2 drinks, fish and chips, ham, mushroom pizza plus side salad, £42, happy with that. And excellent service, thank you David x
