The service and food is at the standard you'd expect from Costa

Generally a horrible atmosphere between the members of staff. The older one constantly rolling her eyes at the customers. Both looking as miserable as sin. Ruined my visit.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. They should be paid more 😃

Dirty floor, dirty tables but good coffee. It would take so little effort to lift this place up from a disappointing mess - just some staff who cared.

I went to Costa in Seaton today and I was served by a beautiful and sweet girl :) she said her name was Freya and she was very nice and chatty.

Dreadful experience today manager suddenly started on us for no reason so rude I personally will never use costa again . Utterly unfair really has upset our day .over priced and rude

The most pig ignorant and rude young women serving. Obviously far too important to deal with customers. We left without buying anything. 15:10 Sunday 14th October.

Its newly refurbished so all bright and clean with new kit and furniture. The coffee place to visit .Its like new

Visited Tuesday 22nd August. The service was so slow. Took 30 mins to be served food and drink. New staff should be trained prior to serving and facing the public. Consequently after waiting for food; sitting and eating: shopping in the store for a full week’s shop; then queuing at the checkout, we may have incurred a fine for staying more than 2 hours. Thank you Costa!

Tuesday 8th November and we visited here for a coffee with a friend. It was rather busy when we here and the staff were stretched but were doing their best. We did clear our table before we sat down, got a cloth from a member of staff, behind the counter, to wipe it down. She did offer to clean the table for us, we did it ourselves. It did take a bit of time to get served, we ordered two flat whites and a black coffee. It was worth the wait, it was a good flavoursome cup of coffee. The staff were busy but still managed to stay polite and welcoming.

We went just for a cup of tea and a slice of rocky road - the staff lady was very friendly and served us with a smile on her face. What more could you ask for?

Two flat whites and two cheese and bean toasties - they were perfect and set us up for the day. The staff were friendly and working extremely hard as the café was busy on the Sunday morning we attended. The café was clean and tidy and I noted the staff cleaned tables after customers left. It was a very good atmosphere.

The coffee lovely ! The food ok ! The girl serving pleasant ! BUT the place is filthy / tables doors/ floors / standing at the counter waiting or my coffee looking behind the counter it’s all grim ! How being a Costa has it been allowed to slip to this standard ? Needs a serious deep clean and organising , yes I get its small but !

A nice little Costa tucked in the corner of the Tesco superstore. The staff were both friendly and attentive and made my order without problem. Plenty of seating and you can even watch the trams leaving the station.

Used this Costa once before and it was ok. Smallish outlet in Tesco. Bit tired looking and stuck in a corner. Last time it was ok but they forgot to give me two beans for using own cup. This time they had run out of decaff coffee. Probably not their fault but got the feeling the staff would simply rather be someone else. Not the most enthusiastic. Can really only drink decaf so simply didn't bother and went elsewhere. Shame

Quick coffee and cake with my munchkin

A Medium Hot Chocolate and Blueberry Muffin. £4.70 and muffin was discounted. Popped in for a treat as booked vaccine at Tesco Pharmacy. Both staff were very smartly turned out, smiley and welcoming . It was quite busy but all was very tidy and organised. The goodies were delicious, and I felt very comfortable in a soft chair with low table. Well worth the calories!

Terrible experiences. Woman serving was horrid to me as I ordered a vanilla latte and I asked for a medium with milk. I should have said cows milk although milk normally refers to animals milk. She replied of course its made with milk in a sarcastic way. In trying to be clever she then had to ask what size although I had already stated this. The coffee tasted bitter as if she had contaminated it although the syrup probably contained artificial sweetener which I dislike. I will order another one from a different branch just to check if the taste is supposed to be like that.

Costa serve the best cofee. All places recommended for 100%. I'm a big fan

Coffee, usual Costa fare, quite nice. The service this time however was not, it was near the end of the day and the young lady in question quite clearly had no enthusiasm to serve. This is not what I am used to from this particular Costa.

I visited today to have a salted caramel Frostino which I have had before in Plymouth and Cornwall Services. This was nothing like my previous experiences and the salted caramel was distinctly lacking in flavour. I will not be visiting again.

We have been on two occasions recently and on both, during the pandemic, the staff were meticulous in keeping the area and tables clean and virus protected. Although we didn’t have coffee, the tea and snack lunches available were perfect and the distances between available tables were just right to avoid close contact with other diners. Overall a good experience giving confidence in social distancing and ability to enjoy the food and drink.

Only offered a takeaway today. Their coffee machine wasn't working so we went elsewhere. Staff seemed uninterested.....

This Costa is in Tesco but has no seating area outside and staff in there were not friendly at all. Not sure why no outside are to enjoy your coffee but think they did have one on my last visit to Seaton 2 years ago.

Has changed its layout and the atmosphere is too noisy.. coffee, however is inline with other outlets

Have been to this Costa many times on holiday, and hasn’t always been the best but things have very much improved! Staff are very friendly and helpful, coffee made very well and accommodated specific requests. Food cook nicely and staff working hard to keep tables cleared and clean. Well done!

This Costa is inside Tesco supermarket. Firstly upon ordering our coffee's I noticed that when the member of staff was making our coffee that the some of the coffee from the machine was missing the cup and running down into the drip tray, when I mentioned this she said - "that's the way it was supposed to be" (what?!). Anyway, the lattes were very disappointing - if you closed your eyes and tried to guess what it was you would have said "milk flavoured with something, but I don't know what". I wouldn't have called it coffee - it was the worst and weakest coffee ever, so unpleasant that I left some of mine. To eat we had toasted teacakes, and while the price of these was reasonable they were dry to eat as you are only given a scrape of butter with them. Felt we had wasted our money.

Costa coffee is now inside Tesco. Good coffee served as usual and the view is of the Seaton Tram station, so you can watch the trams go in and out.

Staff always seem to have time for their customers very welcoming the only let down is no outside seating

Visited here yesterday with my son lunch cost £32 and honestly it was disgusting, apart from the chicken wraps. We were given our food with no cutlery or napkins and when asked for sauce we got 2 sachets and told “we don’t do mayo” I asked for more tomato sauce and got we usually charge by the way for sauce, fine I said I have no problem paying but told it’s ok for today! Well I dare not ask for napkins so I went to the toilet for roll as no cutlery given so had to eat with our hands and as for my mixed berry cooler well ..... no ice no drink just froth, staff so curt and not approachable I didn’t want to complain a definite avoid eatery

Used Costa at Seaton Tesco for many years and sat outside with our dogs enjoying the sun and friendly people outside also, bombshell is they’ve closed outside entrance and Seating outside taken away, poor poor poor reason is shop lifters use Costa entrance way to escape with unpaid items, hello do something about it Tesco, we also stopped shopping in Tesco in protest £150 a weeks their loss just because we can’t sit outside drinking our beloved Costa coffee.

I would liked to have commented on the service however, whilst I understand the reasons (high shop lifting levels in Tesco) for the closure of the electronically accessible door closest to the Tram station (now used as a store room)it now meant that I would have had to make 2 long return journies for myself on crutches to the Tesco main entrance and back to the cafe and again to exit. Surely an alternative electronic solution controlled by staff could have been implemented. Although given some of the other comments about overworked and pressurised staffing perhaps this is an ask to far. Consequently my patronage was forfeit.

Nice place for a chat with friends

Always find the staff friendly and helpful even when extremely busy. Standard of coffee does not vary (as have found on occasion at other Costas). Good selection of food and always clean and tidy. Ideally situated in Tesco store and close to sea front. Seating area for dogs only outside which is a pain when wet/cold and when people are smoking outside.

The staff here are very nice & so is the coffee but it's never that cheap. If you want a light lunch or snack then nice food but again can be quite expensive, but is nice & for a treat or if in the area it makes a nice stop

Very poor lately compared to other Costas we visit. Espresso tends to be 'flat' with little or no crema, sometimes even tastes a little burnt. Cakes stale and lacklustre. Very young staff seem miserable and overworked.

Costa seems to make awful coffee. The baristas don't take time to make proper coffee.

In today great service from Abby and Manager Neil have run out of brown bread for toast not good

It's a nice enough store but the staff are extremely slow. Plus there were random crates of cardboard just lying around the drinks fridge. I ain't one for going on about health and safety, I just moved around it and carried on queuing (and queuing and queuing and queuing) but it takes one person making an actual complaint and then the store management get into trouble.

Needs updating and they hav a problem keeping staff who are not always that good can b grumpy and unhelpful do hav some good long term members of staff though.

I always enjoy meeting up with my friends for coffee in Seaton her. Very friendly and efficient staff and always a decent drink! I tend to try everything and I’ve not had a disappointment yet.

I’ve been to my fair share of Costas. Have to say this one is my favourite locally. Great spacious feel, plenty of sunlight ( unlike the other Costas nearby, which are all quite cramped ). It’s seen a few changes of staff but the manager must have an eye for them, as they’re always a cheery bunch. The happiest i’ve seen any team, and have been pleased with their polite and jolly service.

Being Diabetic is a bit of a pain to say the least, especially when you do go out. As for flavored coffees, which I adored as I previously spent, in all, twelve years in the USA where flavored coffees rule, I cannot drink it much as the syrups can have much sugar. In that Costa, my Christmas Gingerbread style coffee was a dream: no sugar in the flavoring! Also, the sizes were very good! As cool as Starbucks for this one! IMPRESSED! Also, the place is kept very clean and the staff is brilliant. Add to that the fact that even the toilets use some recycled rain water...just stratofab place!

Fairly busy Costa and the staff are friendly and were working hard at a busy time. Had to wait 10 minutes but don't mind as the staff were working towards reducing waiting time. Great coffee

People always complain about the waiting time for ordering anything in this place, yet they never take into account the small size of the work station and the very few staff employed. They do a great job despite how busy they get and arriving at a lunchtime on a Thursday we were served promptly. The cake and hot drinks were great and we always love going here.

The cafe was filthy on our last visit. Management advised, but haven't been back.

Usual Costa experience, handy as it adjoined Tesco. Next to tram station and new Jurassic centre. Meeting place for mums and babies so can be bit noisy.

Clever place to put a Costa cafe, Always very busy and good atmosphere! Staff always helpful and a deserved break from shopping! Could do with more daily papers .

Really tasty coffee and lemon tart was delicious. Not sure about the layout as it feels more of a corridor to the toilet rather than a cafe. Staff were really friendly.

Quite possibly the worst coffee shop in Seaton why people go here is beyond me . Tables are all ways full of dirty cups never enough staff and no sign of anyone being in charge . Last week I bumped into a friend whilst shopping in tescos so we went for a coffee once we got a table cleaned we were both gobsmacked to see the sanctuary and nappy bins being changed during the lunch break the man then went and carried more from the staff toilets though the cafe . I know this has to be done but not during opening hours please

We always enjoy our favourite Chai Latte here. The Staff are friendly and the coffee to die for. Nice comfortable seats and very clean.

What a lovely place to go always busy loads of people in there family friendly wheelchair friendly all fabulous it easy a lovely hotchoclate and lasted for ages when I had to take it to work.

What a massive waste of money for the smallest drink I've ever seen. Meant to be a Lindt just tasted like a baby chino what a disgrace!!!!!!

Just spent £2.95 on the smallest hot chocolate you have ever seen. Said it was lint but tasted like a normal hot chocolate. Wont be coming here again.

Lovely to pop in here after shopping , all looks clean and tidy today dispite reading the other reviews . We had toasted sandwiches and two hot chocolates and two tiffin cakes , the sarnies were lovely , the hot chocolate though was too chocolatey , very strong tasting not milky like I usually like it , think it was made with hot chocolate powder not proper chocolate like most places now , a little disappointed . The tiffin slices were lush but one was enormous and one a lot smaller but the same price . The toilets in Tesco were terrible didn't look like they had bee cleaned since the morning (it was now 5.15pm . ) I know it's Tesco and a big store with a lot of people , but this means slit if people will use the facilities and should be kept nice and clean .

We go here a lot. Ever since it opened actually. They have always been a friendly bunch of staff. The customers I expect can be quite demanding. Coffee is consistently good. They are very busy and popular. So there is a fair amount of wear and tear on the place. In the summer especially sitting outside is a joy and the location gets lots of sun and shelter from the wind. The traffic is a long way off too. It's a great place for kids as there is a huge piazza there for scooters etc and dogs are made welcome too. We go to lots of vistas in this area. All good but this is our favourite.

Great cappuccino and friendly staff. Always busy but worth the wait. Nice outside seating area if the weather is nice. Attached to Tesco so can get busy at peak times. Thee hours free parking in Tesco car park or a nice ten minute walk from the sea front.

It's a cheap thrills for the kids, babychino @50 pence each, shame it's a chain and in tescos.
