Costa Coffee in Liverpool

Not enough staff to clean the tables, the staff do their best but there is only so much 2 people can physically do, I feel sorry for them. Still the same months later, 😔 still plenty of dirty tables 😳 Update 2025: what a difference a few months make, credit where it's due this Costa now has spotlessly clean tables and more staff. The staff are great and friendly and we go in at least once a week after our Tesco shop. 10 out of 10 👍

Came here on lunch time. A bit busy, but plenty of seats. Likes the design and decorations. Tried the festive hot chocolate and it was lovely. Comfortable place to chat and enjoy the time.

I have been to the Tesco here plenty of times and had never went to the Costa here so thought I'd see what it was like after shopping. There's a variety of coffee and teas on offer as well as cakes and biscuits which were tempting to buy but decided not to.. I chose to have their green tea which tasted basic, and thought the price of it was a little expensive but nonetheless you could get away with using the same tea-bag twice like I did it so depends on your interpretation. There's plenty of parking via the Tesco carpark and is easy to locate once in store, you just need to find the tills and head straight down to the end of the store and up the stairs to find the Costa.

Always enjoy coming here at the weekend to relax. Clean and spatious, and generally cheaper than the other Costas.

Been here lots of times when shopping always clean Except the odd occasion when very busy and staff shortage at the end of the day staff do there best Doing a very hard job .cleaning isade more difficult by the usual minority of customers and children leaving lots of messy tables and floor. Can only applaud staff.

I enjoy going to this costa, we'd been to the crem to take flowers, we called in for a warm drink and a snack and did some shopping in tesco afterwards

Although there were 3 baristas it seemed to take a long time for my drink to be prepared.

Staff are awful, not customer friendly.

Not sure if my experience was a one-off, but i queued for 20mins for a cup of coffee at 4pm on 23/11/22, to be served by staff who couldn't care less!

Handy place to drop on before or after shopping shame it's often cold and tables aren't cleared that often.

Staff are very polite. Shop has recently been redecorated and it looks very nice, worth a visit. Inside Tescos Allerton.

Ideal after your shopping to stop have tea or coffee and cake

Very helpful staff explained what coffee my wife wanted . Area we sat at was very clean and sitting was very comfortable . Also a lot of papers to read and plugs were usb ..

Having tried several Vegan things I didn't mind that the "Smoked Ham & Mature Cheddar" toastie was Vegan. Alas, that was a mistake. Nothing about it tasted smokey, nor the slightest bit hammy. Instead I was left with the slightest hint of cheese goo on half toasted (the bit on underside was simply bread) "Toastie" 🙄

Standard, Costa coffees and cake. Nice and convenient.

Coffee just as good as most of the other Costa coffee shops I have visited. Air conditioning made it feel a bit chilly.

Based above Tesco this is a lovely respite. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Always friendly staff and plenty of seating

Always our first choice for coffee. So flavoursome and reliable. And you always get a seat.

Very nice coffee as always. The young woman working was attentive and polite. As far as I could tell all of the tables were being cleaned immediately after customers left and the one way system was clearly set out with guiding arrows and signs indicating the exit point. What more could you want?

CLOSED. YET. AGAIN!! Only take out, and not accepting legal tender. Has Costa run its course?

Within Tesco, Allerton Road, Liverpool. Professional, friendly and helpful staff. Disabled and was asked if needed assistance in carrying purchases to a table. Reasonably priced.

Fine but when are costa going to pay their fair share of taxes and put more wealth into the pockets that they make huge profits from!!!!!!!

It's nice in here but very overpriced. Problem is there isn't a Tescos cafe so had to use Costa. They also charge more if you are going to be eating in. So for example a muffin was 1.65 but they charge 1.85 to eat it inside.

As with most Costas not clean enough for a food provider. Member of staff brushing the floor while people eating and drinking, dust flying everywhere. Then not washing hands before serving!

Luv Costa! Coffee and flat whites are my favourite, and the innocence apple juice is delicious, so my brother said, but they could do with offering alternatives to their food range, I'm not into biscuits, calorie laden cakes, they don't do gluten free sandwiches, and why don't they offer fresh fruit? Apart from that, it's a really nice place for a cuppa and a catch up with family and friends. We'll done Costa, you just need to change a few things food wise, as your coffee is excellent,

Nice little costa but usually a big queue as they never seem to have enough staff on. Some nice sofas and chairs by the windows, normally occupied but comfy if they are available

Can't understand why people want to pay ridiculous prices for coffee and snacks

Typical Costa good coffee etc . The difference were the staff who were just lovely , helpful and professional. I was there approx 4.30 to 6.00.

The amount of money I spend in here& they refused to heat package baby food up& never gave me alternative way.

As always, coffee and food fine. Great service, didn't have to wait long and atmosphere great.

Oh dear, big queue and one member of staff!!

Very slow service ,tables littered with dirty dishes. Only brown bread and it was only 10am.very disappointed

Overpriced, slow service, generally naff. Avoid.

Sunday morning 10.30am visit whilst my car was being washed. Long queue as only 1 staff member working, so couple of customers simply turned around & left. Got to give credit where it's due though, the Barista was doing a fabulous job, making coffees, heating breakfasts etc & kept apologising to customers for their wait. Well done....and my flat white mocha was as lovely as ever! 😁

I love the coffee but the stingyness of butter portions and serviettes is a joke. Every other Costa gives you enough butter for your toast but not Tesco costa. 'We'll have to charge you ' when I asked for a portion of butter Guess I won't frequent this coffee place
