Costa Coffee in Liverpool

First of all I had to ask for the barista to wash the milk jug as it looked like it hadn't been rinsed all day Whilst waiting for it to be put through the dishwasher I witnessed numerous drinks being made with reheated milk just being topped up each time I even saw a baby chinno being poured from a jug that had been left standing on the side obviouslyleft over from a previous order , the so called barista thought it appropriate to feel the jugs temperature and serve it

Staff are good but they need help on the shop floor. Tables are chocker with trays and used cutlery/ cups etc. Dirty tables and the floor hasn’t seen a hoover or a mop since god knows when. Sort it out costa and get the busy staff some additional help!

Only 1 vegan option for mains and 1 for dessert. Neither appetising. I think Costa needs to get with the times on that front. Despite this the staff are great and it is dog friendly!

I was there yesterday and the dark haired man who served others clearly ignored to serve me and refused to make eye contact or talk to me even though I was just one person. He went on to make the other coffees that his colleague was already making which I thought was super weird. His other colleague then came over after a few mins and asked me what i wanted. It was clear as day that the dark haired man didnt want to serve me because I was wearing a headscarf, and i know it was not in my head because I felt annoyed for no reason at the way i was suddenly ignored, and no eye contact. Sometimes body language gives you away lol. I didnt see the point of calling it out, but it was weird how the dark haired man completely avoided coming near where i was while I was was present at the till lol... Not coming here again anyway

Poor customer service A staff call Sophie who served me. She was very busy with their closing time. I asked every single things and she felt so disturbed when I was asking to provide. No napkin she gave it to me it was also not available for self service. She made an ice latte which taste not good and very poor serving. It’s happen several time staffs are busy with their own conversation.

Disgusting shutting tables off well before closing, went back to get a pastry, shelf origunally full, i was told by a young member of staff unsmiling there wasnt any, you obviously dont need the business

Hardly any food or cakes, attitudes of the staff disgusting. No customer service skills between the 4 staff and one of them was in charge. Told my parents who are OAP got to ask for extra hot on the drinks which never heard off. Told my parents if they don't like it go elsewhere. 4 bits of kids treating people like this is not acceptable My parents weren't the only ones to complain in the shop at the time either. Staff like the 4 in that shop today don't deserve jobs. Be wary of staff attitude at this store of going.better still don't go to this store.

Went in at 5:45 on 28/2/24. Both staff that were on shift were lovely. Very kind and smiles on their faces. I work in the Costa in Liverpool south parkway and usually go around a few Costa’s and not many staff are as friendly as the Speke retail staff. And i am usually very picky with my hot chocolates and I don’t like them being too chocolatey but this one I bought was perfection. I didn’t get a chance to see their names but they were both lovely.

Great place to stop waiting for boots to open. Bonus £2 reward off food. Had to try one of those almond croissants. 😋 Lovely

Needs to be abit of common sense from the staff, we paid £25 for breakfast pay on the card. Get no butter then get charged 10p for butter that we had to pay on the card again 🙄

The shop is fine, as well as food and drinks, however what made me write this review was the excellent customer service received by a member of staff called Bev on 24/08, around 9am. Bev was so nice and you can tell she likes what she does, which makes such a massive difference for customers! Don't know how Costa tends to praise their staff but they should really ensure they keep the good ones!

Every time I go into this place they are out of ice for cold drinks, (in summer). Today I went in and just got a Mac and cheese and it had yesterdays date on it. Working in hospitality myself I know how important date rotation is. I also went to use the bathroom and it was disgusting! Smelt rank like urine and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, what’s worse is right by the toilet it looked as though there was a very important meeting occurring. So these 4 people who looked very important wearing costa uniforms (managers?) knew the state of the toilet and I did nothing.

Lovely space. Great selection of cakes and coffee. Thought the tables were slightly dirty. The staff is busy doing their best to provide excellent customer service at the check points

Visited Sunday afternoon 5th feb … The 3 staff that were serving were extremely friendly and helpful, the young lady making the hot drinks was exceptional and went above and beyond to help myself and my sister

Slow service had to ask where order was as serving other customers that arrived after me. No apology only a lot of slamming about from the girl making drinks for her then to half fill drinks

Called into Costa for a warm choc with my 2 daughters. The youngest needed to use the toilet, when I went into the toilet this is how i found it. As i look after Cleaning FM i was absolutley appauled by the state of this toilet facility. Hygene was disgusting, toilets look have not to been cleaned for a long period of time. Hand rails filthy, no soap in broken empty duspenser, sink full of grime, wall tiles all stained and the worat thing the toilet was full of urine. I spoke to a male member of staff who excuse was that there was only a few staff.... What a disgrace! Hygiene disgusting.

Run of mill Costa so expect slow service. Staff will clear the tables but that is where it ends. Not once did I see any staff wipe the table. NB: Starbucks in Cineworld.

They have decaf so very pleased. Shame they didn't have any cinnamon.

Decor and toilets need refreshing as the place looks a bit scruffy but we mainly get takeout coffee from here which is fine and the staff are nice, there's just always a bit if a queue.

Fabulous coffee.now marks/Spencer food is available its far too expensive for the pensioners..should have a 10% day like all icelands are having....

Always love a flat white from here, also got the used coffee grounds to put on the garden see what happens

The Barista knew how to make a good coffee. Polite staff.Needs a total refresh

Went for a quick coffee while shopping on a cold day. The only seats were towards the rear of the store which I found really dark and the Aircon was on which was very cold. It's a typical chain, no real atmosphere and it feels dull and a little drab. I think it needs an injection of colour some good background music it lift the feel of the place.

I have to admit that I am a Costa fan so may be a bit biased lol. This Costa is easy for me to navigate my wheelchair. Friendly staff and great coffee.

I have a skinny gingerbread cappaccino in this coffee shop ☕ very covid safe and they make sure you check in on track and trace which makes you feel safer 😷👍.. very friendly and helpful staff,my favourite coffee shop in Speke and a nice place to relax or catch up. Thanks to all the staff 😁👍👍

It wasn't crowded we didn't have to queue and everybody stuck to the social distancing rules felt very safe

It was lovely to sit outside and have a catchup chat over a great cup of coffee. Could do with a few more tables and chairs but can't fault the place. Would definitely go again.

Brilliant staff, went there on my own with my 2 month old baby and they were lovely with us: finding us a table and bringing me drinks during a long baby's feed. Thanks a lot!

Asked for a honeyfomb cappuccino got a iced cappuccino and then when in to tell them i asked for a honey comb cappuccino i got Syrup in my iced cappuccino not a hot one haha couodnt be bothered staying longer to complain had to go work

Staff here were lovely! I had a Christmas coffee blend (as I don't really like their usual coffee) in a Christmas spice cappuccino (soya) and it was delicious

Great atmosphere and fabulous coffee

As a coffee addict any Costa coffee is gonna get 5 stars from me, I also buy their latte discs for use at home with my Tassimo machine.

Don't really like coffee but this was good

They serve alright coffee and high prices and don't clear tables quickly enough. But it was dry and comfy so that was nice
