I love going to the costa in mare Street the staff are very friendly and food is very nice and coffee is perfect I recommended to everyone to go there.

Ordered a hot chocolate, paid for marshmallow, cream and chocolate? Didn’t receive!!

Excellent service from Michaela at the Costa Coffee in Hackney! She was friendly and very funny, she bought our food to our table with a smile. I would recommend this costa to anyone in the area, and would like to thank Michaela for her excellent service.

Used to come here a lot, popped in as I was passing by recently and wow, not going back. Paid nearly 5 quid for a weak, watery frappe made with Instant Coffee and when I questioned it was met with a shrug. Toilets now locked and for "customer use only" and it was still dirty and the emergency pull chord was wrapped around the grab rails.

Service received is based on your skin colour. A obvious cognitive dissonance and a shame

I order from here frequently and they consistently forget items or give me the wrong thing, which, when you’re ordering 3 items for breakfast & one doesn’t turn up it can kinda ruin ya day

From Houston, Texas. This is the UK version of the popular Starbucks. Great service and more selections of baked goods and sandwiches in their brick and mortar locations than Starbucks.

I made the order via Uber Eat. The order turned up with one macaroni cheese missing but had a muffin instead. Tried to call the store but the phone line was offline so I had to go in myself. To my big surprise, it wasn't a mistake. They did that because the macaroni cheese was out of stock. No sorry, no apology, the lady store manager even said it was not her fault. My frustration was I paid £6.40 on Uber for macaroni cheese, if they didn't have it then should give me something equivalent , not just a muffin (I don't think a muffin from Harrods would cost that much). I paid for delivery then had to spend my time and fuel to go back to get into this ridiculous argument with her. I told her if the item was out of stock then they should mark the item unavailable so that customer will not have to pay for something they are not going to get. She said they couldn't do that. I am saying now that I have been working with Uber Eat and working with their devices and it's possible to mark item unavailable!!!

Been coming here to get my coffee for a while now I have to say there’s this barista it makes my terrible once I got charged twice for 1 coffee I did tell and show him my bank app that I got charged 2 times and all he keept saying system Then when ever this dirty person is working he try’s and makes my f coffee as dirty as possible the worst customer service ever at Costa Coffee by this person I have ever experienced so time to call it a day at Costa Coffee for me

I was supporting a person with disabilities to go and enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of cake. I was n’t pleased at all with the service of Juna. She was rather arogant minding her job in the bar rather than being keen to provide a good service. I wanted to give her some coins to give ma back exchange in notes, but she dismissed me immediately saying she has already pressed for the change. I come here quite often with the person I support as he lives in the area, but we have never received good customer service, staff is always unwelcoming and hard to put a smile on their face. After all these, once I arrived home with the person I was supporting, I realised the change I received was with £5 less. I went immediately back in the shop to ask for these money back as they were the money of this vulnerable person I care for. They had to check the CCTV and we’ve been waiting there for half an hour. Eventually they came up with the conclusion I was right and gave us the fiver. Apologies were made, but it was too late.

Nice and quiet in the morning if you arrive early. I go mostly for breakfast and it's cheap enough to get a hot drink and something to eat with a special breakfast offer.

The only reason why I’m complaining is that of the quality of the roast chicken sandwich? It was poorly package. Some bit was missing on the bread was hundred percent rubbish it was not sealed it came open The tuna melt was excellent, but the chicken roast was poorly package. I’m even scared of eating it because it was open

Don’t ever give zero sugar coke when I requested for original.

I ordered hot chocolate with Oat milk, and I believe got got a different milk. It tasted different plus now my stomach is churning so it definitely was the wrong milk. People please do better

Speedy delivery on order. Everything I ordered was correct apart. And packaged neatly with care. I was happy with my order apart from being delivered chocolate cake instead of carrot cake.

If you like coffee why would you come to a Costa?

Friendly and clean space. At times, it can get busy but there are plenty of seats. The drinks are served as requested and a good selection of snacks, cakes/pastries, and warm food.

I have always like costa, however I was at the one in Hackney Central just by the station and after ordering my coffee I was desperate to use the toilet and to my shock it’s like the toilet seat and commode was painted with bowel. Surely Costa does not expect mothers, desperate pregnant women, elderly or anyone to use that filthy toilet? You can do better than that!!! I should have taken a picture

The decaf latte (with an extra shot) tastes nothing like coffee! Trust me I drink decaf all the time and a bit of a connoisseur. Worst I've tasted in a very long time!

Decent place right next to the station. Paid parking outside, cash point opposite. Quite well located to be fair

Made too many mistakes , paid for small gave me medium, also drink tasted too sweet to how it’s supposed to be, I’m vegan and paid for vegan toasted hut gave me real meat and out my cake next to the hot products so it was all Meleted, not cheap, waste of my money

How you feel when you need a coffee and Costa is there. Feel much better after my coffee because I really need coffee to wake me up. Quick and good service. Very convenient location.

Had to go back in the toaster. I sent a note asking for a crispy sandwich and got ignored 🤔 not so good service

I’m actually so annoyed. One main item didn’t arrive, obviously I requested refund for that item. But now I need to order from somewhere else and pay delivery fee and service fee again. It’s just a waste of time too. They can’t update app from their side, if they don’t have some items??? Or call to my phone number and ask what they can swap that item to if they don’t have the original order item…. But don’t waste my time and money like this, with your unprofessionalism….

Lovely peaceful and relaxing Costa shop. Well laid out. Vegan ham and cheeze sandwich is delicious and melts. I had a large soya hot chocolate which was delightful. Staff are friendly and toilet is clean.

The manager was very helpful with me choosing my coffee and didn't rush me at all. He walked me through everything and gave me the best tasting coffee I have ever had!

Their hot drinks are decent but the iced drinks always tastes and smells funny. This has been the case everytime I've visited this branch and then to top it they were serving hot frothy milk on an 'iced' cuppacino. So drinks were served at room temp.

I believe any organisation that locks their bathroom doors for customer only deserves less than 1 star. Bathroom availability in London is a widely known issue, at rush out on a Wednesday morning there is no justification.

Bad service when it comes to picking the right order or 1 item is missing from the order.

Am a regular here, and have always found the staff and manageress to be happy and smiley and always know what I want before I get inside and make you feel welcome. a credit to Costa.

Took about 15 minutes to get a simple black americano, would have been longer if I hadn't told the person making the coffees what I was waiting for (this info hadn't been passed on by the cashier). Left the shop with my coffee to board a train. Have noticed that the coffee cup/lid smell mouldy/musty so cannot drink the coffee. Bad service. Bad hygiene. Avoid.

The people serving were very nice, the tables were clean and the worker opened the toilet for me when it was locked after cleaning due to flooding. Coffee was nice but I feel sorry for the staff who have to deal with certain type of clients - for the 2 hours or so I spent there with my friend, we witness people swearing, shouting at staff and accusing them. Also, two very dirty women sat next to a guy who was occupying a table already, chatting loudly while he was working on his laptop and didn't even ask if they could sit there. He was too polite to tell them anything though, bless him.

Hardly any sandwich filling. Hot chocolate had no cream, the cup was only half full. I think it was normal hot chocolate as it didn’t taste like orange. Really disappointing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with my order and one of the staff even changed my saucer when I tried to carry it to the nearest table. I will be coming again when I in the area.

Only two stars because I paid £3+ for a coffee, sat down, then two workmen came in to start drilling and banging installing something into the shop. Coffee was ok and hot and staff seemed efficient. Don't like these chain commercial shops in general.

I am a regular to this costa and find the staff friendly interactive and welcoming each time. There always seems to be a free seat available whichever time of day I visit. The only let down is the standard of the coffee served. I enjoy a well crafted flat white. I almost never receive the same consistency or texture expected for this drink. It’s either too hot or tepid warm and rarely in between the two! Would be great if the team were to undertake extra quality control training to improve the overall standard. Recommendation to team member Aphrodite, she always has a smile on her face and works tirelessly :-).

So i work in hackney this is my 6 time buying hot Chocolate from them, now why am writing this review is because the hot i chocolate i got each time I go there, taste like water down hot chocolate, they all tasted like when you finish a good sweet hot chocolate after then put sone water in the cup and then drink that water that what it taste like chocolate water, works need to learn how to make a good hot chocolate

Mixture of busy and calm times, must try hot cross bun range (latte, cappuccino or hot chocolate). Why not try mac and cheese bacon toastie.

Best Costa I’ve been to. Friendly staff, fast Wi-Fi and decent furniture in good condition. Docked a star because Costa’s coffee isn’t ever very good, but it does the trick.

I love this coffee shop 'cause they've got vegan lattes and dairy free cappuccinos.

Staff was a bit miserable but I find most places these days have staff that are rude, miserable, and just don't care because they know that customers will cone due to the name on the front COSTA.... Its a shame really.. There is no more decent customer service anymore......

Having to use the track and trace to be 'ALLOWED' to sit inside is absolute discrimination. I don't have a smart phone. I was told to i wouldn't be allowed to sit inside. Ive waited months just like many others to be able to do normal things especially having mental health issues from being locked indoors. All.the stuff ganged up i felt very intimidated and embarrassed. I just want to drink a coffee inside out of the rain. This treatment isn't acceptable.

I come to this place to get away from the world I now and to enter world of craft and delicious coffee and fresh cakes. If you looking to spend a quality time I would suggest Costa ts peacefull here . I visit Costa almost every day just to have coffee that I like.

Costa was brilliant the staff are very good and efficient and they are doing very well with adhering to the Covid19 guidelines.

Really nice staff, I order a few latte and americano's for me and the lads n break, and they were quick, and courteous, love Costa, and love their take away cups, I like them so much better than their Green Rivals : )

Love it here, staff are friendly,polite and helpful. Social distancing, can take off mask only when eating/drinking in. Hand santisers are available upon entry, clean and tidy. Loving the honeycomb cappuccino and latte version.

Great Costa taste, great location. The only thing was that the door didn't close shut properly, so there was a bit of a draft coming in. Apart from that it was lovely.

I love Costa coffee I can't fault it. I love their Latte with lacto free milk but now started with coconut milk. The staff are as good as gold. Their point system needs to be looked into. As it's useless. You need to get more points for the money you spend.
