Pleasant staff doing a professional job. Enjoy going there.

Overall it's too expensive and quality isn't anywhere near as good as local individually owned competitors. Food over priced and standard quality. Better quality food in IKEA and less than half the price. Service was good. Professional and friendly. Atmosphere is the same as any chin coffee shop. People taking laptops and pretending to be in meetings.

Rude, obnoxious and extremely poor service, I only asked for the seats outside to be wiped dry only to be told it will only rain again By Kev. Maybe he was building an Ark out the back expecting it to rain for 40 days and nights, it was clear today and didn't rain for the remainder of the day. The best they did was to nonchalantly hand me some paper towel which wasn't enough and give such a response. At this point I thought I might have to make my wife and myself our own drinks, I told him I won't be coming hear again and he said we don't want you too, then threw my drink down the sink. I requested a refund and was told to wait outside, which I refused as my refund was not forthcoming. I eventually got my refund after he had served two other customers. I visited this costa on many occasion having never before being treated this way, I have never had a problem. I am sure he would spin some tail denying my side, check your cameras as he is not to be trusted.

No idea why people are obsessed with chain, support local businesses

We'd always gone to the nearby Cafe Nero, but after an unsatisfactory experience, we gave Costa a try. Much nicer feel, very clean and welcoming, with pleasant and helpful staff. It's Costa every time from now on.

Coffee was pretty good and had good latte art. The flat whites are ridiculously big and very expensive, but that's no fault of this specific Costa. The seating area at the back is incredibly dark though and not in a cosy way, very uninviting.

Came for a simple Americano which was luke warm and somehow bitter so hiw you can burn the coffee and serve cool is beyond me. Anyway was dropping my daughter off as her Brownie unit was singing here as as I'm stood waiting a very rude and confrontational large man starts having a go at me about moving things round and the store being closed and banning us from entering. ( i had not touched a thing) Luckily before I told him what I thought one of the brownie leaders stepped in and had words but he was so rude and unreasonable with both of us just because the girls wanted to hang their coats on a chair Never seen customer service this bad.

I ordered the Black forest and cream hot chocolate drink with a white chocolate trillionaires slice. If you want a total sugar rush, then these two are perfect! At over £7 for a hot chocolate and a small cake, this isn't cheap, considering the seating and decor of the place. It's hard to rate the atmosphere in a small cafe within a supermarket. Parking is obviously no problem as it is within a superstore.

We have been to all the Costa's in formby, birkdale a d Southport. The people we support in the community always ask to re visit Formby Costa inside the Tesco. The staff are all amazing. Always have a very happy welcome and take time to greet them. We have been going here for a long time now and we are all on first name terms. The service us fantastic, food is good. Atmosphere is very relaxing and happy.

Great breakfast on the go. Gerard and Keiran were really friendly and welcoming creating a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.

Called in Costa coffee here many times the man how served me couldn't keep his hands for inside the paper cup & wen putting the lid on the cup he couldn't keep his fingers from inside the lid of the cup , I brought this to his attention for the second time hygiene was not on his agenda

Excellent service from all the team. Alin, the manager, knows his regular customers and their orders. As a lady on my own, I am always happy to come here on my own for a coffee. Alin is extremely polite and calls everyone madam or sir. He always says thank you also. Lauren, the barista who served me, also knew my regular order which is a small soya cappuccino with cinnamon on the top. Definitely 5 star service all round.

Myself and my other half stopped by on our mbikes, mainly to get warm as we were frozen stiff despite him wearing half a cow and myself 5 layers, anywho, he grabbed a seat whilst I queued for our lattes. I kindly asked for TWO gingerbread lattes please with cream on top, after a 20 minute wait in line with a man behind me trying to snuggle into my back (maybe he was cold) I was charged £10.05 and given THREE watered down possible lattes, I thought to myself hey that's a tad expensive, I couldn't read the price menu as it was written in some sort of Old English font, I merely got on with it and took the tray to our table. I took a sip from one of the glasses, couldn't taste any gingerbread so gave it a stir with one of the 3 spoons (the other two had some sort of dried milk substance on I wasnt risking that, we have enough IBD in the family) still no gingerbread) my partners the same, surely the third had some in? Well it seems so, very slight I may add. The atmosphere was pretty bitter, clearly we weren't welcome, we were in clean bike gear, didn't swear, spoke with a northernish accent but somehow were tutted and sighed to each time we spoke, we managed to clear the cafe in under 15 minutes. Most likely wont be visiting again unless desperate. It was warm inside so that's something.

It is what it is. You get what you expect from a chain like this. The table clearing could have been faster.

So, apart from the fact that the toasted sandwiches were only toasted on one side, the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. A quite pleasant environment which was well managed and clean.

Lovely place staff great and as always coffee fab too.

Very poor marketing trick, running a free coffee promotion and stopping it a week before voucher runs out. Can't tell you what service was like and won't be back to try. Wasted my time waiting and a bit embarrassing being told no. Lost a customer for the price at a medium coffee.

Ideal for £7 lattes, one loo for everyone.
