This used to be my favourite Costa. Since the recent refurb it feels like they want you to drink your coffee and get out. Harsh lighting and uncomfortable seating. Take-out's fine👍

I love going to costa my favourite place for a chat and drink . But the toilets are a mess and smells well bad. That goes for all the costas ive been in they never sèem to be clean and tidy and in some tbe hand dryer doesn't work or theres no soap . Staff are pleasant and food drinks are great a good choice of everything. Just need to improve on toilet facilities

I tend to avoid Costa in Hereford, if I can, but this one, at The Old Market, is consistently the slowest of any Costa I've ever been in. It seems particularly bad today, possibly because it's a warm day and quite a few people have ordered iced frappe type drinks, but they're being made in at a time. Perhaps one of the two machines is broken, but I think that's something they should be prepared for.

Well, what can I say I came up to Hereford after 29 years so much has changed. This Costa Coffee cafe, is in the old market square, where back in my days I was able to walk around the market, & see the old cattle fences thst was there a long time, coming here with family members it was a nice atmosphere, good priced food & coffee, queues were quite long so had to stand to be served for a little bit, great seating arrangement upstairs with some good ole views. Only problem I can pick up on, is the tables could do with a very good clean, as quite sticky to touch, obviously been cleaned with chemicals that leave there mark & sticky residue, giving that feeling it's not entirely clean. Other thsn that staff are polite, helpful & the whole experience will make me go there next time when I need to come up for a few days to meet family. Thankyou. 👍

Pretty standard Costa, was happy with my visit.

Thank you to the lovely staff who helped the rescue of our lunch and drinks after my MS meant I dropped our order on the table. They cleaned it up and replaced all spilt drinks and soggy food. Amazing service.

Amazing place nice to go for coffee ☕️

It closes too early (I'm not from UK, so having cafes closing at 3 or 6 pm is too early). And 30 mins before the close time, they would be storing all products. So I recommend, if you want to have coffee in Costa Coffe (or any other place), keep in mind that you have until 5 pm to really enjoy it IN the place. In their screens, they said they have mapple products, but it was not true (I went to 3 different places) Coffee is not strong; therefore, sometimes the beverage lacked of flavor.

Edit: October 2023 Things have picked up at this Costa. I've had two spot on flat whites two days in a row and made by two different ladies. We'll done keep it up! i was stood there at the till waiting to be served and the two ladies were more interested in talking to each other and doing other things than serving me, i get that you’re busy and you have a to do list but at least serve a customer first, it’s embarrassing for costa, a chain coffee group to be acting like this. if anyone is looking for a coffee shop to visit in hereford you’re better off going to the coffee cart instead of this place, they actually know customer service

Usual costa choice. Loved the area it was in and that you could sit out even if it was raining as seating is covered. Sadly, however, the toilet needed a good clean, and tables needed clearing.

Terrible out of 5 items order ALL 5 were wrong. The drink lids had come off the hot drinks cause a mess everywhere. They sent a cake instead of Mac n cheese???? Very very disappointed.

Costa is normally quite good with deliveries, but today the drinks arrived barely warm and half full due to spillages on the way (driver told us this), the food had been crushed and mashed, also barely warm. Quite disappointing, really.

Service was a little slow, girl seemed a bit flustered making the drinks. All OK and as expected.

Asked for a white hot chocolate; I've had it in other costas and it tastes good, then obviously barely put any flavouring in here and I just paid £3.70 for a glass of warm milk-

Placed the order at about half 10. I went out at 2pm and it still hadn’t arrived. I want a refund it’s absolutely shocking.

I threw 2 coffees across the table and my wife! The staff were so quick to tidy it all up, replaced the coffees and helped my wife sort herself out. Top marks guys.

I ordered and drink and a millionaire shortbread but I only got the drink - no millionaire shortbread. No impressed as I paid nearly £3 for it.

Really nice and cozy place, me and my gf come here all the time before collage to get work done and just to chill, nice friendly staff, nice and quite place, the atmosphere is super cozy and comfortable seats, would 100% recommend :)

A very small Costa so you'll be lucky to get a seat if busy. But a really nice little shop 🙂

Didn’t take it to my street I have to walk the street over and my coffee came half full when I ordered a large and it had loads of form paid 3.85 for it to come half full I would like a refund if possible please

Personally I'm not a coffee drinker. But the hot chocolate is great. Decent amount of seating upstairs. Staff pleasant and premises clean. Just what is needed.

Visited on the 16th of December, at approx 17:00pm... Helen was absolutely fantastic, so lovely and friendly, her cake suggested is delicious and the coffee is great, as usual.

It was... D I R T Y ! From the milk jugs caked in layers of dried milk and crumb-covered countertops to the floor and toilets. Men were coming out the bathrooms and not flushing their waste, everything needs to be cleaned everywhere, and I guess customers educated on basic toilet etiquette and hygiene. There flat-white is served like a cappuccino with far too much milk and was luke-warm.

Always order from here, but 9/10 often get things missing. last time we missed a sausage bap. this time we received two shortbreads instead of a tiffin. The food is nice but only when you get what you ask for.

The Brownies we received were not the correct brownies. Ordered salted caramel brownies and got pre packaged Belgian chocolate brownies.

Fast delivery BUT yet again, cold coffee and the toastie was overcooked and all messed up on delivery - this Costa puts the toastie in the bag on its side and not packed flat, so it falls apart.

We ordered hot chocolates which was just milk with no chocolate. Horrible tasting. Biscuits and cookies never turned up. Bag and drinks smelled like cigarettes. Horrible.

Usually service is pretty good but lately they are too understaffed to handle themselves when it's busy. I ordered a frappe to take away the girl put it in a glass so I apologised and told her I need it to take away. She just poured it into a take away cup, which sure is fine in theory but it made a real mess all leaking out of the cup the cup turned out to only be half full and the cream turned flat thanks to being tipped from one cup to another. I appreciate they are busy but if I'm paying nearly £4 for a drink I want it perfect and as advertised. Maybe they should get more staff in so they aren't so rushed and slap dash about things

Very fast delivery and great drinks! The only issue we have is we asked for marshmallows and a flake for the hot chocolate and it didn’t arrive!

Always a lovely place to go for a coffee! Quick and friendly service, the location is central to the shops so you can rest with the bags for a while with a nice drink and cake 😂 the seating goes further back so it's quieter back there if you prefer somewhere to work. Also, it seems clean every time I visit!

Restaurant didn't package the frappes properly. So most of both of them had spilled everywhere.
