They make some absolute banging hot chocolates

Very spacious coffee shop. Clean and quiet, with friendly and efficient staff. On first floor but helpfully has lift access.

Somewhat tired looking, needs a good clean and spruce up, chairs are worn and stained. Coffee was good

Be careful. Just had a baby chino and it’s so hot it’s not drinkable. I put this review as a warning to parents as my son would have been burnt if I didn’t check it first.

Normally I have nothing but praise for this Costa but not today! Firstly the fridge was practically empty so we had the last 4 Mac and cheeses. Then I was a bit put out as all of the seating along the window was blocked off and when I asked why I was abruptly told it was so the staff didn't have to clean back there. So we sat on a very small (too small for 4) dirty table in the middle as there was no where else to sit. Only to discover that My 8 year olds meal was off, it was disgusting. I did let the staff know and they said I could have a refund but only in cash rather than back onto my debit card. They didn't offer something else to eat and overall I found the lack of customer service skills very poor today. Today's visit has left a bad taste in my mouth in more ways than one!

I visited this store on Thursday 17th March at the Tesco in Royston, and the 2 ladies displayed the best customer service I have ever experienced in a costa. Demi was so friendly kind and helpful with not just me but all the customers and she would share a joke and showed a genuine interest. Very personable. She brought over our food and coffees and it seemed like we were the only customers. But everyone received this service. 5 stars amazing these staff are a credit to the company. I will definitely be returning

Absolutely shocking I put bad review on about this shop cos long distance lorry driver parked up for the night to be told sorry you can't get a dink and food from here cos you not in a car lol maybe I should drive the lorry round next time

Generally dirty, no deep cleaning gone on in a while! Tables not cleared. Seemed to be plenty staff though.

Great service. Staff are really polite and attentive. Nice atmosphere to either relax with friends or to catch up on work. Spent hours working here.

Very good coffee today, Taste as it should be, like it strong with dense texture Today I give Costa in Royston/Tesco 09 out of 10 Needs to be cleaner Coffee machine area untidy Today been another visit and coffee being below average. Weak and to milky despite I paid extra. Coffee loses its flavour if not used within a couple of minutes after grinding. No Rocket science, Baristas should be trained better to get it right. I love my coffee and don't mind to pay a fair price but it should be a pleasurable experience in return. Does Costa care???

I find Costa a bit pricey but it's OK for the occasional treat

If you want a quick coffee then fine. However, the place is always grubby and tables left uncleared. If you want something to eat and a sit down in peace, go somewhere else.

Staff are great and love having coffee there!

My favourite Costa by far. There doesn't seem to be a big staff turnover so the baristas are established and know what they are doing. The layout is spacious so is great for accessibility (pushchairs, wheelchairs), unlike a lot of Costas which are very crammed in. And of course being above a Tesco means it's a great place to relax before/after shopping.

This is a poor Costa outlet, reported to Costa several times with no improvement.
