Always good service, friendly and helpful staff

Just popped in for coffee between shops 2 hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows and one large latte 😋can't beat Costa .service spot on. very busy but managed to get table atmosphere bussing it's my go to place ❤️

I have never seen such a dirty place, no one from the staff cleans the tables, there are dishes and crumbs on the tables, I want to run away from here as soon as possible, I do not recommend visiting

As it is Christmas! Well, 8/12/24 I thought I tried something different as a Cappuccino caramel Cappuccino. I wanted the Christmas Nutcracker, but you have to sit in for it. I had the cajun chicken panini; it had, of course, chicken cheese and herbs in- delicious, heated up. 😋 I originally felt like a brie & cranberry panini, but you can choose only what is there. Both came to £9.49 Very good customer service. It was extremely busy in Costa. Has a large seating area. Team Valley retail park is definitely getting very busy.

This Costa is ridiculous! It always takes ages to only get a black coffee! Won’t be going back anymore.

Excellent service and Cheerful staff, Jess made me feel very welcome and sorted my complex order within 5 minutes of walkng through the door with a large queue. 10/10 will visit again, very clean considering how busy the place is during Christmas rush on lunchtime.

Bit rank really. Decent coffee but store was a bit of a mess. Dirty toilets, syrup on the cup, other rubbish across the store. Not what you would expect from a retail park store. No toilet roll in dispenser, all on top of sanitary box. #minging Bad review comin’ thru!!

Collected my beans on the app & had a free large latte with cream! The guy that served me ( I did not get his name) was really helpful explaining that if you take your own cupin to get your coffee you can get 2 beans on your app instead of one! I did not know that so now I do I will lol! Clean & tidy, lovely staff & great coffee, what more could you want?

I'll admit I spent too much money at Costa over the years, and it is expensive, but a very nice coffee.

I've downgraded by original review as it's simply not as good as it once was and the staff who did make it good, have long gone. Service is slow, tables and floors uncleaned, toilets awful. The staff seem lazy and unorganised. Now the worst Costa in the Gateshead area

Great service, great meeting place but the chairs need a clean or replaced.

Average British coffee shop modelled on Starbucks ,staff Push bee coffees with no information other than the coffee is great, i mention about nothing almond but still received a ciffe with almonds in it, won't be going back sadly

As a Costa places goes this one ranks lowly. Service was intermittent and the staff were not on a par to other local ones. Food in Costa never seems to change, even though the menus do. Prices are dear and are not value for money. Drink was not as ordered, latte came out as a flat white. Tables around also not cleared in a timely manner or cleaned after each customer. Also no toilet facilities which makes this the first one in over 40 not to have them. (Probably to get more customers in). Won't be repeating the visit and suggest you go to the one in Next instead.

First visit to this particular "branch". It was busy with most of the tables occupied. Great service done with a smile and very helpful when I was trying to scan loyalty card.

Good food. Staff worked hard but not enough of them as cafe area floor and window ledges grubby.

Great coffee, as always Prices are great, too. The only downside was actually finding the building. The signage from the sides is non-existent. Even from the front, it's not very easy to see.

Very busy costa store. Plenty of seating inside and outside, and with it being in the middle of a retail park there's plenty of parking available. I would imagine it's rarely quiet in here however there's plenty of spaces to dine in. Clean store, and clean toilets too. Plenty of cakes and toasties to go around which is all that counts!

Hot milkshakes and hot coffee milkshakes are recommended

Quick Service, Friendly Staff, Plenty of tables for customers to enjoy what they purchased.

Lots of people even on a weekday so clearly a well positioned Costa! Obviously standard fare for a chain but the staff are always lovely here.

Just called in for a takeaway coffee and was busy at lunchtime , I noticed that there is only one toilet, just doesn't seem enough especially if you have a disability, the toilet was disabled access etc, but surely more would be required?

The most lovely staff of any store, I always leave with a smile on my face and they are all so lovely! We need more people in the world like the staff of this Costa coffee shop!

Lady serving was friendly and bubbly until it came time to serve me, then her whole demeanor changed - I have trouble speaking in public and she made it so much worse. My order changes seemed to annoy her and I had to repeat myself several times that I wanted to take away even though she asked every single customer before me what they would like with a big smile on her face. I'm really not sure what I did to make someone treat me so differently to anyone else, I felt very emotional afterwards I just couldn't understand why she would completely change when I ordered.. I was just wanting a nice treat to begin my day and I was in a good mood until that. My order was wrong and when I said it was they ignored me and continued to serve people. Absolutely ruined my morning, a very horrible start to the day - definitely only using drive thru at peel from now on.

Costa is OK but it's hit and miss whether you get a good brew or not ,I always get chai latte made with soya ,but most times it just tastes like hot milk ,when it's good it's good but not very often .

Well done to all the staff today. Even it was constantly busy and had que. Still remains happy to serve us. Shout out to the three (3) staff who eagerly strive to meet what customers requires with a smile! I had Frappe salted caramel and latte for take away. Even it was vert busy they handle it well.

Busy, with shared parking which can be an issue. And very limited disabled parking. (3 spaces shared) Good food.

Staff were very helpful on my visit. It was very quiet on a midweek afternoon, I have been there on a Saturday when it was very busy and the service was not as good.

Lovely little place for a pit stop. You always know what you are getting with a Costa. Tables were cleaned away quickly for the next customer, and the toilets were clean too.

Love going here when in Team valley.

Over prices with underpaid staff that don't care and let's not go into their tax affairs! Go somewhere local and help your community instead.

Just want to give a huge positive shout out to Kimberly who I believe is the store manager. Came in today Saturday 10th June with my autistic son who loves the hot chocolate from here. Seeing he was wearing his ear defenders to help him moderate the noise she stopped and asked if we were OK waiting or did we want to go to a table and she'd come see is with the tablet. On this occasion my son was more than happy to wait, and when it was our turn she made sure to wave at him, smile and say hi. Little touches like this made it a very very positive visit. Cannot fault the staff/service/or the food & coffee,this branch is the best.

Arrived early asked for latte and toast. Had to repeat the order as the staff were continuing their conversation - who was in today and isn't this new company app rubbish!!! Not appropriate in the presence of clients. Staff member put toast into the oven but didn't switch it on! That was pointed out to her by another staff member and my server just laughed. There was a laptop in the centre of the serving area so trays and drinks were being passed over the top of it. Was given my coffee and tray and stood and stood until my toast was ready. All other Costa venues I've been to would always offer to bring it over. Not here! I also had a free coffee reward due - it wasn't offered though. Not impressed at all....

Overpriced poor quality coffee staff rude to the point of why bother? Starbucks not as expensive and the quality of service and hot drinks and food out weighs the second rate Starbucks

If you're stuck down the team valley without caffeine and contemplating death a flat white is just about bareable, anytbing else is a cup of milk with a hint of coffee.

Staff are lovely and even when it's busy they are very efficient. Always well stocked up.

Dear Barista guy, No matter how many times you repeat that it's a legal requirement for you to add an 'O' to the lid of my oatmilk latte, I didn't want you to do it because you were going to use the pen you had hanging out of your mouth. Nice latte however.

I purchased a large latte which was luke warm, I then asked for it to be heated up and was told I should have asked for a heated coffee. That being said when I then received the Latte back it was like a cup of hot milk not very appealing, will not return

Busy in the run up to Christmas but still able to grab a seat. Staff were lovely and service was super prompt.

This place is always busy, so expect to wait in line for a bit. With that being said there is always plenty of stuff and the queue moves quickly. Quality of drinks is better than other Costa and the stuff pays attention to your drink. The ambient is also very cosy. I wish the stuff would clean the tables of empty glasses more often though. I find myself doing it every time I visit, even on occasions where it's not that busy and there is plenty of stuff available.

Overall a good experience. I felt a little bit cramped whilst seated. Very loud when full. Nice range of drinks and food. A bit pricy for food. But will definitely pop in again when I visit the team valley.

Just came for a cuppa with my Mum - the gent serving was lovely and friendly, the hot chocolate I had was delicious - I drank it right to the bottom which is unusual! I'm sure we'll be back.

First customers of the day as they opened. Our table covered in coffee rings and crumbs as was the table next to ours. Crumbs all over the floor, seats and window cills. Filthy metal window frames and glass. Nice coffee shame about the state of the place.

Waited at 6:50 am for it to open at 7. As it states on Google, for it not to open. Anyone know the real opening times? 🙄

Love this coffee, have been before, this time was loads of staff but still seemed to be waiting ages.would still go again.In a great spot in retail park.

We always enjoy our latte's at this costa. The barista's are knowledgeable and friendly. We were served today by a young lad forgot his name but it was his birthday today he was so helpful when my friend wanted to know what was in a frappe.

Upon entry I was greeted with the most eclectic array of cakes and pastries I've ever encountered at a Costa establishment. After an insignificant time I was met with a smile by the barista who took my order and quickly prepared it without error. I took my order and sat with it in the calm and clean surroundings of this modern coffee house and enjoyed the unique cake I'd selected alongside a beautifully prepared mug of coffee. All in all a wonderful if brief experience.
