On 11/07/24 at ~12:30, I felt unwell & asked Costa staff for a small cup of water to take medication. Instead of a simple act of kindness, I was met with a patronizing response & told to buy cup & water in Tesco. This dismissive attitude towards a customer in need is deeply disappointing & unacceptable for a reputable establishment.

Not aimed at specific branch, but my soya latte from there today, good Lord, absolutely horrible. I thought in the past it was due to requesting 'extra hot' and perhaps their new brand of soy milk doesn't take to that very well, but this was a normal soya latte and it tastes like the last couple, dreadful. And, 45p extra if you want oat or coconut milk, how behind the times is that?? Terrible.

Asked for coconut milk and was given cows milk… I’m not a vegan I actually have a mild dairy allergy. At least they made another but I won’t be coming back

The two members of staff that worked on the morning of Friday 21 April were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I received excellent customer service from both the staff and was treated in a way that made me feel a valued customer. It was one of the best experiences that I have had.

I ordered a chocolate fudge brownie frappe and a cheese and tomato toastie on Thursday just gone. He took his care making the drink and I haven’t had a brownie frappe in a long time as no one makes it that well but he really made it taste great. Thank you!

Usually always friendly (but not in an in your face way) and hardworking staff, clean and spacious - much better than some other Costa's imo. What I will say though, and this is probably more of a problem with Costa in general, is there are now absolutely no gluten-free sandwiches etc ! Sometimes I want to pop in and have a sarnie, not just a cake, but everything seems to have vanished gfree wise ! Is any way you/Costa could consider bringing some stuff in for us who need or prefer to have less gluten, guys?

After a bad experience with my last costa visit at another cafe I was hoping for much better service. I needn't have worried. Quick polite staff who worked well together. Coffee as always was very good. I highly recommend this costa coffee franchise.

I’m coming here since years as I’m local, but now lot of things had changed. Staff untrained, sitting at the back, waiting for customers to say hello to them, to notice they’re there, no greetings. Place is not the same it used to be.. there’s one girl which I see almost every day, she’s always smiling and cleaning.. very hard working! I don’t know if she’s the manager, but the other members are useless! Get new good staff!

Terrible value. Just bought a ham and cheese toastie that had hardly any filling. The thinnest slice of ham and almost 0 cheese. If you are hungry at lunchtime, go elsewhere.

Had to pop into Costa in Harrow Tesco to ask for an empty cup to pour some coke into as my 85 year old mother was about to have a diabetic hypo - her blood sugars had dropped dangerously low to 2. The lady was cashing up and ignored my request for a cup instead started shouting at me to tell me she was cashing up. I explained this was an emergency and I wasn't interested in her money, i just wanted a cup, she then more or less threw one at me still shouting that I shouldn't have come to the counter as she was cashing up. Whilst I attended to my mother she continued to give me filthy looks; it took approx 20 minutes for my mothers blood sugar levels to rise and we narrowly avoided her collapsing and going into a diabetic coma. No thanks to the member of staff who was incredibly disrespectful, totally unhelpful and showed no interest in helping us in a potentially life threatening situation. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from this member of staff - shame on her.

Stick to getting beverages only. I bought a cheese and ham toastie. When it arrived it was not toasted on one side, see photo, I only realised this when I bit into it , as the toasted side was up. therefore the other side was soggy and totally untoasted! Not what I'd refer to as a toastie. When I complained the reply was it's grilled, no apology, really. If I'd wanted a grilled sandwich I would not have have asked for a toastie as advertised. Their attidute was take it or leave it, we have your money. I'll not be spending any more money in there.

Ming Sing is our go-to local Chinese takeaway. We love the food and the service is personal, warm and friendly. They are also open to altering dishes according to taste, which really makes a difference. We've been repeat customers for some time now and will continue to be :)

It was more synchronicity than accident that the first Wetherspoons emerged from the first year of Thatcher: the rise of this business model walked hand in hand with the gradual erosion of the Working Men’s Club, where subsidised beer was part of the overall energy of what was on offer. Back in the day, men would sit so very loyally in these institutions, often finishing a shift, going straight there to either nurse beer or watch what entertainment on offer. It wasn’t urban myth that women of the seventies and eighties marriages would walk to these clubs and serve their men the dinner there, or come in for a row. The proverbial stay at home wife still exists, though today a far different creature, being kept happy with holidays, cars and home furnishings. This bar has an ignored tourist base: all Wetherspoons now, regardless of geography should be aware of the Arbnb market. But, like all chains, it has no hope of dealing with this energy, preferring instead to deal with the constraints of blanket brand approach. Here, moments away from the most exclusive boy’s school in the country exists a dogged Trinity: heavily pierced and tattooed staff with relationship interconnectivity with staff elsewhere in Harrow bars, gossip with customers that are not too happily married. 2 fiercely compromised gentlemen of note need really badly to hold court: one a compulsive gambler and self appointed Town Cryer/Snitch, the other a coke addict, needing cheap boooze and proximity to a nearby club that facilitates more time away from the missus. Both are guilty of rumour spreading to qualify for Anglo Saxon Village punishment. Further back from the seventies, gossips, snitches and muck spreaders were Cukked: bathed in excrement and shamed. The third aspect to this Trinity is the barring policy of Spoons. Here the really nasty alternative life of a post grad is eased with the power to barr. The town itself has the barring from this bar as a kind of weird Badge of Honor. Everyone who has it in them to give money to this institution has been barred at one time or another. Note that it took a huge amount of effort to have Greene King barr a very irritating individual claiming to be the cousin of Tim Martin. His very best friend sits here whilst others remain barred. Another visit is due. The poor social media (almost), says it all. Wetherspoons has it’s critics but remains a great brand. Reliability, social cohesion and a sense of history are it’s strengths. BUT, it has a tendency to be one thing in the centre of things and another in the suburbs and regions. It need not be so. A visit to The Beaten Docket in Cricklewood is where a traveller will find groups of guys playing cards, backgammon, enjoying each other without a whiff of a chance of one of them stabbing the backs of the league. Centrally located Spoons are a boon. If thinking that this bar represents brand or locale it serves, think again, go instead to the Three Wishes in Pinner or the Spoons in Baker St.
