Comfortable with usual Costa range of drinks and food. Pleasant staff.

I popped in on the morning ofTues 22nd and was greeted by the lovely friendly staff . I was acknowledged politely and nothing was too much bother. A guy and a lovely girl were on the till and serving and were every inch the professional U would expect . The place Is always clean and tidy .yes I go quite a lot lol.Thanku guys. Good coffee shop just beside Spruce field with the option of a drive thru. Staff all really friendly. It's very clean. Typical Costa quality and you get what you pay for in the bigger chains.

Go to the drive thru quite regularly, although the last few times I've noticed only one person on it at any one time. Was in earlier today and it was much busier than usual, one girl on the drive thru, making drinks, food, taking orders & payments etc. She did very well for being on her own and was very kind and courteous, repeatedly apologising for the wait. Would love to see there be more help for drive thru staff being left on their own. Other than that great experience overall and will be continuing to return to this costa!

My coffee stop when on my weekly early morning trip down the A1. Granted McD's nearby and cheaper but, you get a batista prepared coffee You pay for what you get. Just a word about the Costa Ireland app is not worth downloading- avoid. No member benefits at all.

Staff are always kind, courteous and helpful, always willing to correct mistakes! Everyone always seems to be in a good mood, and always help where they can. Have been in the cafe and through the drive thru, cafe isn't perfect 100% of the time but its understandable given how busy they can be at times. Drive thru can be slow at times, but I also know people are usually doing coffee runs for work so thats also understandable. I don't think a lot of the reviews on here actually encapsulate how busy the cafe and drive thru can be at times which is where people give bad reviews.. You can see the staff doing the best they can and that's all we could hope of them. Keep up the great work guys!

The most disinterested, disrespectful and rudest staff members at the drive thru. We went past this morning for a simple family coffee order, 5 coffees and 1 hot chocolate. They made cheeky comments repeatedly about the number of drinks ordered and sarcastically said "thanks for that" about the size of our order (once again only 6 simple drinks) and then proceeded to badmouth us between themselves by saying "when I used to work in Starbucks you had to phone ahead for such large orders". We will not be returning to this costa, and I would heavily recommend others do the same.

Terrible service, had no food in stock except ham and cheese toasties and staff were standing round chatting

Worst drive through coffee shop experience I’ve ever had. The customer service was extremely poor and the staff were simply unhelpful and unprofessional, seeming to be lacking in training with inadequate communication. Took several attempts for our order to be made only to receive incorrect items and pay for the wrong order to which the staff responded in a dismissive, disrespectful and disinterested manner. Very disappointing and distressing and I won’t be back. Would discourage others from wasting their time also.

This costa coffee shop offers a cozy ambiance with ample seating and a diverse menu of delicious treats and beverages. However, a common setback seems to be the inconsistency in fulfilling specific orders accurately. For instance, my wife's iced latte with various additions 9/10 times arrives with errors, which can be frustrating. On the bright side, the regular Americano with milk consistently hits the mark, providing a flavorful kick. It appears that a more structured approach to training and supervision, especially with a mix of experienced staff, could enhance the overall quality control and customer experience. If you have strict dietary needs, it might be best to exercise caution due to the reported inaccuracies even after us confirming orders with the staff.

The receipt printer was out of paper so my request for a receipt was refused. Otherwise staff were helpful. It was busy and the queue moved slowly. The tables were very clean. Good range of Vegan and Veggie options. Vegan toastie and ginger nut loaf were great. It was very strange that an iced coffee to sit in came in a single use plastic cup.

Worst Costa IV ever been in. Staff so rude and unhelpful.. felt uncomfortable ordering as all staff just looked at me like what I'm a doing here. Non of staff speak to one another about orders. Just had a staff member shout over counter with out saying excuses me. Was your order with coffee. Just a nod whenever I said yes.. millennials maybe.. not trained properly 100%. This place needs a miss

As a very regular customer of this store, I have noticed standards drop steadily in recent months. But today’s experience was the worst yet. I noted 7 staff - 3 wearing headsets and covering the drive thru, leaving 4 in the main servery. With the queue backing up to the door, there was plenty of time to observe the chaos of what was going on. 2 members of staff were clearly new and had no idea how to work the till. Only one of the other staff members took an active interest in assisting them, but they seemed to prioritise other duties before doing so. With no supervisory staff apparent, quite unacceptable amounts of time were spent waiting on them to work out what to do. The situation was certainly not helped when staff from the drive-thru, when not busy, came into the main servery to chat and laugh with other colleagues. I queued for almost 15 mins and when no new orders were taken for almost 10 mins, we left in disgust. This was just the latest bad experience in this particular Costa and therefore I would appreciate if management for this store would contact me as I would like to discuss this and other recent experiences with them. Until then, I certainly won’t be back and will actively discourage others from visiting also.

Nice enough Cafe. Music can be a bit loud sometimes and there isn't enough parking for volume of seats

I am very disappointed with the experience me and my mum had here. For it being a relatively new Building it was filthy. There was rubbish everywhere, inside and out. No-one was cleaning the tables after people had left. No one was cleaning the barista area between making coffee. (Again it was filthy). The seats themselves were filthy and ripped. Toilets were disgusting and the disabled toilet even had poo smeared up the back seat. It was left and not even cleaned. Bins not emptied. Toilet roll not even in its holder. The service was awful. The staff were miserable and not very engaging - bar one male staff member. I wanted to bring my mum out for a nice coffee, and to be honest we didn't even want to touch anything the place was that filthy. This Costa would really need to manage their staff and teach them how to clean, speak/engage with their customers, manage fast cleaning after customers are finished or I could see this place shutting down very quickly. Safe to say I will not be back here.

Cappuccino tasted like hot water. Coffee granules burnt out, similar standard to the ability cafe at lady Dixons. Sort it out!

Great place for a coffee and chat with friends

Aidan Bacon is the most amazing barista I’ve met, very fast, he even went as far as expressing love to my coffee which added to the amazing taste of my iced coffee, special mention to a guy called Ben he’s good too, I’ll be going again definitely.

Aimee is a fantastic barista! She always makes the most delicious coffee. Every cup she serves is perfect. Aimee makes every visit to the cafe a delightful experience.

Mr. Bacon crafted one of the finest bubble teas I have ever encountered, Also Mr. Bradforage kindly served me at the counter and Mr .Leech was the gentleman who took my payment. Exquisite service overall. 🙀

Been here a few times; disappointed every time and won’t bother going again. Service at the till is incredibly slow. Portions are small and expensive. Car park is cramped. And the WiFi is very, very slow. Really won’t be bothering to stop here anymore.

On numerous visits I have had difficulty connecting to the Wi-Fi in this Costa outlet (Sprucefield). I have no difficulty at other Costa outlets

Top class coffee house with top coffee and eats. Highly recommend this coffee house.

Nice new Costa coffee handy to Sprucefield and it's a drive-thru if you fancy. The coffee is OK, but my Dad and I were there early on a Sunday morning and the staff all looked like they'd rather be somewhere else and it was all a bit disorganised. There were so many baristas making the drinks but nobody was coordinating things so there were drinks made and set aside until someone checked the trays for orders. May be teething problems that will be ironed out as it's opened longer.

Whilst this Costa has been open for a while, I don't find it as somewhere I want to go on a frequent basis. There is no vibe. The staff aren't really on the ball and not the same as the Costa on mainland UK, which are much better

Notably, there's an ongoing frustration with the sizing options as they never seem to offer medium cups, always small ones! Furthermore, the quality of supplementary items like straws remains a significant problem. Straws from the current supplier dissolve within a mere 10 minutes, consistently leading to customer dissatisfaction. This issue is exacerbated by substandard lids, which not only increase the need for straw usage but also pose spill risks. Given the imminent arrival of a nearby Starbucks outlet, poised to capitalize on any dissatisfaction among our customer base, urgent action is imperative to address these issues. Safeguarding your market position and upholding customer satisfaction levels is paramount to prevent loss of business!

Coffee and food were spot on. But inside was cold and not cosy. Hoodie / Coat required.

The hot chocolate is very cold and there is no taste. The employee who works is very angry. Not welcome. They served us coffee that was spilled on the plate and was not clean 🤮🤮🤮🤮. The sweets look very old. I wouldn't expect the taste to be this bad 🤮🤮

Great location for a coffee and meeting friends or for business meetings. Coffee and service always good, can be a bit tight for parking though and you may have to park in Currys and walk the 50metres or so to the shop. Plenty of tables and seating, good drive through.

Love Costa, my favourite coffee, sitting in or taking away. Staff are lovely, polite helpful and always in good spirits, not grumpy. My favourites are the lattes, Christmas sandwiches,and sweet items, carrot cake us gorgeous, tiffin bun and lemon curd tarts, all very much worth a taste. Enjoy!! 😁😁

This Costa is now one of my favourites. Friendly young staff who work hard to provide good snacks and decent cups of coffee rather than standing about having their own private banter (which happens in some OTHER coffee shops and puts me off returning). Recruitment and training seem to be well managed. Thanks. You've guys made it a regular favourite.

Beautiful place, While waiting in a long queue, we observed staff serving pastries, to be fair they used the correct tongs but pastries were falling into other types of pastries and just being left lying. The floor behind the counter had empty coffee cups lying, trays of dirty dishes sitting. At the coffee making machine it had coffee spilled everywhere, know one seemed to have a clue how to tidy up as they went along. Girl who served us with our toasties just sat them down on the tray, no eye contact or manners to say enjoy. The only member of staff that seemed to know what she was doing was the girl clearing the tables.

more like a daycare centre for kids rather than a professional environment tbh, although a ginger girl(didn't catch her name) was very lovely and got me and my daughter served quickly.

Coffee in this Costa is never consistent. I only go here because I like the drive through option.

Service was VERY SLOW even though there was a lot of staff on. Told the server our order twice, and it was still wrong. Part of order was missing, 1 plate between 4 people for our muffins and tray bakes, no napkins given had to ask a member of staff for napkins as none out for customers to lift, and my latte wasn't hot. Very poor service for Costa. I won't be back to this branch.

Drive through is a shambles, ordered two medium hot drinks & 2 cakes, repeated order several times, still ended up somehow with 3 large hot drinks and 1 cake, when I said it was wrong she just looked like she had no idea what I was on about and offered no solution at all. Don’t waste your time or money.

Love this place, although it's busy the staff are friendly, the service is great and it's clean. And how do you not like their coffee? There's upstairs seating, and I can't make any negative comments . Though I wish it stayed open later, like 11pm.

greeted by overflowing bins and rubbish all across the outside drinking area. Food was covered in flies likely attracted by the prep are floor that was filthy. Coffee was tasteless, my syrup wasnt even mixed in to the drink and lay at the bottom of the cup in a seperated mess. My kids hot chocolates neither tasted of chocolate nor where they anywhere approaching hot. Avoid.

Very young, inexperienced staff always work here on a Sat no experienced manager to hand to help sort issues or make sure orders are correct. Shocking, they seem to employ young adults under the age of 18, so they are paying the lowest min wage and never have the same people working in there.

Sprucefield offers poor quality service and products. The crew is very young and inexperienced and is left unsupervised. The coffee shop is dirty and the coffee is served in dirt. The countertops are dirty and wet, milk is spilled, coffee is scattered around the barista's workstation. In addition, there are 4 people waiting at the Drive thru window nothing to do and the main queue in the shop is very long waiting at the cash register. Generally, there is loads of chaos and lack of organisation. It's a pity, because the place has potential.😥

Went through the drive thru and ordered a caramel frappe with no cream which I emphasised twice and off course they give me it with cream. To make matters worse they don’t even put any caramel in it. Such a simple order and try get it wrong £5 wasted!

Got a large cappuccino and a mango bubble iced tea from the drive through. No other cars there so was quick enough. Coffee could have been fuller and the iced tea didn’t look as good as the picture but both still tasted nice. Update: Really nice seating are upstairs. Had the new maple muffin which was delicious. Some staff members friendly, some not so much.

Drive through was incredibly slow

Very poor customer service, staff are very cheeky in regards to taking orders. Been there numerous times and has been no visible management supervisors. The drive thru is a good idea but poorly executed, with orders either being wrong or over charged.

I decided to call at Costa for a coffee when we entered the shop there was a lovely feeling it was so bright and clean, the young man that served us had a fantastic personality and made you feel very welcome, I definitely would recommend Costa Sprucefield.

I wouldn't recommend this Costa at all. Staff didn't make the right coffees for us and what they did give us was not nice at all. We were already back on the road before we realised they were not what we ordered.

Says they are open until 8pm. Only if you are driving. The workers there are that thick that they don't have the thought process to serve my purchase into a takeaway cup, which is what I was wanting anyway. Your door is jammed open, so provide the service!

I understand that I have given it a low score for the atmosphere, but maybe it's because of the time of the evening that I was there. In saying that it was a Saturday evening at about 7.30pm. They had the upstairs closed off and were given your coffee in takeaway cups at this time. I understand stand this as it helps with closing up and makes it faster came closing time. I'd just wished the upstairs was open at this time just to see what it was like. Staff were very helpful and polite,this always helps no matter where you go.

In my last 5 visits they have got the order wrong 3 times. Guys its just coffee

Lovely Costa, two floors inside so lots of seating and it's nicely decorated and bright. One big problem though is it has the smallest car park, I managed to get the last space on a quiet Friday morning.....certainly will need to expand if they want customers in through the door! Pricey like all Costas but staff were nice.

Good sized Costa cafe with drive through. Plenty of seating over two floors. Site has a small car park. There are a few seats outside. Good selection of coffee, tea and iced drinks. Traybake selection is pretty good. Staff are pleasant and helpful.
