Urban Fire in Lisburn

Sitting in Urban Fire coming down off the high that was provided by their cheesecake dessert (and delicious main course). I've never tasted cheesecake so good. Lovely welcoming staff, great service and fantastic value for money.

We were visiting Colin Glen park for the day, and went here following a staff recommendation. Rang and booked hour beforehand, 9 and 2 children. Top class - highly recommend Food was delicious, good portion sizes and good variable menu! Staff were very responsive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble Restaurant was clean, nice atmosphere and plenty of room around table

Waitress kept having to be reminded of our order,bringing the wrong order,repetitive music,was busy staff overworked, staff were fine considering busy shift,just badly managed decent food,soft drinks very pricey

We went on Saturday 30/12/2023 myself and my husband 2 starters 2 pizza ,I had mussels and shrimp it was cold the pizza seemed to be a pre made base ,it definitely was not freshly made pizza dough,we having been going to urban fire since it opened and this was the first time I had a bad meal I don't think I'll be back ,I did tell the waitress the starter wasn't hot ,not her fault but there was no apology I won't be recommending urban fire

Poleglass and Twinbrook etc needed a restaurant like this one for a very long time. Starters Chicken tempura & honey chilli chicken are world beaters. Best main I've had so far was the stuffed chicken with a white wine mushroom sauce served with soft buttered mash and the best vegetables you will find broccoli stems and carrots something else. Daughter had the smore brownie and I had the warm fudge cake what a dessert to end the meal. Kids menu is great very reasonable with plenty of options inc pizza which my daughter loved. Sides I had were Saute potatoes and gravy which were lovely. I love the fact they serve soft drinks in a tall cold glass nice an refreshing. Cannot wait to go back I highly recommend. 🇮🇪

Went out of there way to fit us in on short notice. The customer service was excellent.. nothing was to much with changing items from menu etc and quality of the food and presentation top class. Local gem of a place.

The food wasn't bad, very small portions though and the chicken tempura had tough, chewy batter on it. The staff were friendly but this wasn't enough to make up for the mediocre food. Will go back to try the pizza but wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my list of places to eat

The breakfast menu was very nice, the only questionable thing was the way they serve a soda, it might be cost effective but takes away from a proper fry. Well priced and fantastic service.

We went here for my daughter's birthday meal which happened to be on Father's Day. I usually love this place, but unfortunately we were very disappointed this time. Although the food was lovely and the staff themselves were friendly there were lots of negatives. It took approximately 40 mins before our order was taken (no drinks order taken), we had to ask for more room to sit, although the table was pre booked and they were aware of the size of our party. We had to ask several times for more napkins, drinks, cutlery etc. Food took a long time to be served, which was an hour and a half after our booked time, the kids were all starving! We had a cake to be brought out and I had to ask 3 times for this. It all seemed very haphazard with the food being served in dribs and drabs. Maybe they were understaffed? When we were presented with the bill, there was a hefty service charge added, now I don't mind paying a tip for good service, but this is not what we got! It was very disappointing all round. I'm hoping this is just a one off, but I'm not sure we would go back.

I had a wonderful experience at this place. The meal was excellent, and the staff was incredibly helpful, always willing to accommodate any requests. As someone with simpler food preferences, the staff were very kind. It's a great place in our local community. I highly recommend trying their delicious pizzas.

Great place. Can get realy busy at peak times, so book. Though a visit off-peak just as good. Have been a number of times and thoroughly enjoy.

The staff are amazing so friendly and work really hard. The food is the best food in Northern Ireland ! The food is such high quality and fresh and full of flavour I can honestly say this is leaps and bounds ahead of any restaurant I just had the pulled beef samwitch and it was the softy meat melted like butter. Was so amazing I had to get Ina and leave a review right away people need to know about this place with the best staff and food that goes way beyond the taste and freshness of any were I’ve eaten

A group of us went here for dinner, it was my first time, I had high expectations as the group I was with had told me it was a great place to eat. We had booked a table. Our drinks order was taken shortly after we sat down but it took over 20 minutes before our food order was taken and another 40 mins wait for food to arrive, I wouldn't of minded the wait but we were hurried out at the end. I had chicken stack with pepper sauce, it was OK for the price and my husband had a pizza which he said was ok but a bit bland tasting. Lantern style paper lampshades above the booths need dusting.

Had a meal in here last week. Couldn't fault anything. Staff were lovely, food delicious and portions were brilliant. Cracking extensive menu. Plenty to choose from and a reasonably priced multi course offer

Update April 2023 Went last week, it was a lot quieter and the food was even better! I think the loo issues I mentioned have been addressed so props to them for listening to reviews! Now I'm full on 5*! I'll say again had the restaurant been on the Lisburn Rd, Botanic or any of the popular areas to eat out, I'd say it would be impossible to get a booking. So please don't move lol! 😂 Went here the night before Christmas Eve. Location: Location is surprising being its at the side/back of a shopping centre. I truly think a different location and you would have serious trouble getting a booking! Atmosphere: It's loud, boisterous and energetic. Not necessarily a bad thing but if you want a quiet meal perhaps this isn't the place to go. Not sure if this was due to the season or its like this all the time. Food: Food was fabulous! Plenty of variety, really tasty and good portion sizes. I got the mushrooms to start and they were gorgeous, they were breaded with a cheese filling, gorgeous! Then I got the smoky stack burger and it was a proper homemade burger and was gorgeous. Chips were fabulous! I've been going off chips recently as they were seeming to be all the same; tasteless and seemed to be made with either a processed or potato substitute but these were proper boiling hot, crispy, very bold 😁 but light and absolutely gorgeous homemade chips. I didn't get dessert but my sister said her brownie was to die for. Service: Service was great, plenty of staff, helpful but not the overly attentiveness that I don't like. Accessibility: I add this bit in as I need somewhere accessible. This is were it falls down a little. The door is difficult to get into. It's wide enough but very heavy, thankfully another patron held the door open for my Mum and I or it would have been very difficult to get in. The tables are very close together, this made it very difficult to get a rollator around and in fact they had to move chairs to allow us past. This made the initial impression not very favourable and I was a bit frazzled by the time I sat down. Lastly the toilets. There was no separate disabled toilet. The main toilet was made accessible too. This isn't always a good thing. Disabled people for obvious reasons need longer to go to the toilet and then if someone able bodied is in them then the disabled person has to wait, which again isn't great. Also the toilet roll was out of the dispenser and on the floor which makes it difficult for a disabled person to get not to mention the germ factor! Lastly there was ordinary liquid soap (like carex) which was almost empty. The pump had been taken out to get the very last dregs out. This would be difficult for a person with limited hand strength and again there's the germ factor. Overall I think the food massively saved the place. If it hadn't of been as good as it was I think the accessibility issues would have really stressed me out and gotten me frustrated and interfered with my enjoyment of the meal, so thankfully my lasting impression is fantastic and I look forward to going back. I'd just make sure to get a table at the front of the restaurant and hopefully they see this and change the small things in the grand scheme of the toilets. 8.5/10 but could have easily been a 9.5/10!

This is our second time at Urban Fire tonight. We found the staff extremely helpful. We had one in our group who has celiac disease and therefore cant take gluten. The waitress did everything she could to accommodate. The meals were all lovely and we came out stuffed. Would highly recommend to anyone. One useful thing for the owner... It would be good to have a dedicated menu with a few items that are gluten free, this would save the staff a lot of trips to the chef to find out what they can tweek to accommodate those with a gluten intolerance or are celiac.

Called in for lunch and both food and service was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Little hidden gem, lovely food, good service and reasonable prices. It's BYO so if you want to have a drink with dinner bring it with you. Able to accommodate large booking of 12 adults and 5 children.

Me and the wife got a late booking last Sunday at urban fire and have to say the food was outstanding would highly recommend and definitely be back again

Not long home from here and the meal was great. Staff very attentive and nothing too much bother for them. I am a very plain eater and the waitress so so nice about changing sauces etc for me. Very generous size portions. Definitely value for money. Great to have such a lovely place in our local community.

Had lunch here and the food wasnt bad it was just ok. Honestly not worth the money was charged £50 for 2 starters and 2 mains. For some places that's not bad but not this place. 4 our star prices for 2 star food. Honestly I would recomend going somewhere else. Highly overpriced for the the quality of the food.

Horrible experience. Over 2,5 h waiting time when the Staff told 1h. Food wasnt even warm when finally arrived. No apologies or explanation about delay. Not worth of waiting time. If you're not able to deal with that many orders dont accept them or be honest about actual waiting time.

Burger was nice,but chips wasn't great very hard,milk shake didn't taste good, have to say staff were friendly and helpful,but won't be returning

Had run a little low on some supplies but still lovely food and super friendly staff.

Food was alright, I ordered a buffalo chicken burger however it wasn't remotely spicy and the bacon it came with tasted gross, but the atmosphere was great and everyone else I was with seemed satisfied with their meal so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, who knows.

Just v bad experience. Ruined a family afternoon with horrendous service which was amateruish in the extreme. The food had great potential. My pizza was nice on the Monday after everyone else had ate their order on the Sunday. Wouldn't write it of though if they can separate the food and pizza situation and take accountability.

Ordered pizza for the first time, order was 1 hour 20 minutes even though stated would be 45 minutes, hardly any toppings on the pizza and no fire sauce as I ask, ordered because a friend recommended won’t be ordering again, had a lot better pizzas than this

Ignored when arriving at door, 2 adults and 2 kids. Seated after a bit of a wait, while eyeballing the staff and realised we had no menus, grabbed ourselves. On the ball for an order but we weren't ready. Ordered kids meal, chicken stack, squid and pizza to come at one time. Squid was rubbery, yet breadcrumb pale and falling off, soaked in a mayo sauce and served in a rice steamer. Nice idea but made food soggy. Pizza was good but burnt around the edges. Chicken stack was small in relation to cost. Kids burger dead on but didn't include the price of a diluted juice - even if we didn't get the ice-cream. Room for improvement with customer service front and value for money.

Went for early dinner at 4, to find out they don’t serve pizza before 5. Even on a Saturday. We had to make due, we were 4 adults with 3 kids between us. Not one of us enjoyed our meals, mussels were rubbery, chicken was dry. Maybe the pizzas are good, but we won’t ever know. Also, parents be warned, no changing tables in the toilets.

The restaurant is amazing. Food quality and portion sizes excellent and the staff are lovely. I have never had any complaints. The pizza was the best I've had in years. Would remind you of the fantastic quality Goodfellas used to be 20 years ago! Unfortunately I was there last week and ordered pizza,the quality has taken a serious nose dive. The base was soggy and toppings just piled on they did not cook properly. I was very disappointed. I've just ordered a delivery, pizza quality the same, soggy and stuck to the box! I had also paid extra for extra toppings none of them were added, this is the third time I have ordered extra, paid and not received, I think its now enough for a full pizza! Urban fire please reinstate the person or whatever has changed to the making of your pizzas as they are so bog standard and unpleasant now I don't think I'll be ordering again! 🙈😭

If I could rate this place zero stars I honestly would. Not a single person spoke to me in 20 minutes of standing waiting to be seated when I had a booking made hours ago so I basically just had to walk out even though I was also five minutes early. First of all a woman who appeared to be a manager ran out with a crying boy straight past me and ignored me then left me there and made me move to another part of the restaurant to stand in the middle of service while everyone was looking at me and I’m just as confused as everyone else then after all of that she doesn’t even come back for me she just walked straight past me again and in the end of all of this still not a single person is at the desk and not a single person had even spoken a word to me and now i’m just leaving because that was definitely the weirdest restaurant I have ever visited, or attempted to. The woman was also shouting at some people in a car before they drove off with the crying boy. Why? I have absolutely no idea. Not even that busy and every one of the workers just stared at me and walked straight past.. nice way of running things

Birthday celebrations at Urban Fire! Wow..my son who turned 7 today had the best birthday dinner with his family at Urban Fire. After our amazing meal, the staff turned the lights down and brought out a cake for him. Everyone in the restaurant sang happy birthday to him. He felt so special and I will remember his delighted expression forever. I feel so lucky that we have the little gem Urban Fire in the Colin area for local families to enjoy. I will definitely be a return customer after tonight’s experience. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff..special shout out to ‘Beyoncé and Cher’ our waitresses this evening. They have a special working and friendly relationship that I as a customer vibed off! They were so much fun and I hope they are working again on my return. Thank you Kelly ❤️

Absolutely out of this world! The food is just incredible, i cant fault urban fire one bit! My favourite place ever, me and the family go every week and i have my booking in for the next few weeks. Seriously if you havent tried it yet you need to go. The menu has something for every1. So much variety.
