Costa Coffee in Sandwell

I did not receive the cinnamon bun however I have never received a full order

Nice and clean 👌 staff very professional

There was a item missing from my order. This is now about the third time this has happened. In the last few orders.

The service on Sunday was fantastic, full credit to the individual who took our order.

I collected a too good to go bag here on a Sunday. The person serving me was a bit off with me at the time but I reckon this was due to stress as the cafe was busy and just had 2 workers. So I did not take it personally as such. Food I recieved was good. Parking is difficult but that's bearwood high street for you.

Staff looked at me like I was an alien when I asked whether if they had organic coffee or organic milk.. I wanted to sit inside but the chairs all covered in stains, the fabric was filthy and therefore took out..

Delivery took ages. Order cappuccino large. It was only half filled. The panini was luke warm. The frappuccino was ok, probably the best item of the order even tho it was just ok. Not happy at all

I am a regular customer at Bearwood Costa it is my favourite Cafe. Recently I had a conversation with Fiona one of the batista. She has a passion for child development. She wants to encourage children to read and draw. So I donated colouring books and crayons. Fiona gives them to the children and then displays their work on the notice board. I think Fiona should be commended for her efforts. I have called it the Fiona Project. Fiona is a credit to Costa.

Manager rob seems to bully his employees. As a customer I don’t want to sit and have to witness that. This place seriously needs looking at will not be back.

Whoever has the service contract to maintain the place should do better. When I went there. The electronic pay points weren't working so you had to scramble for cash. Then you had to use a combination code to use toilets . Not sure if it's staff toilet but when you finally get in the toilet , the seat was broken. This costa needs a better maintenance company

I think it has change hands ,service slow only one person working ,and there is a funny smell in there now ,will be not using this Costa again

Not safe or welcoming for lone women or disabled customers. The manager, Rob, was extremely hostile and rude to me for the crime of eating a Greggs sausage roll at the same time as drinking a Costa coffee. He barked at me without making eye contact; “You can’t eat that here”. He ended the encounter by saying “You wouldn’t bring McDonald’s to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. Now I’m telling you to leave.” I also heard him tell a young female member of staff that if she wanted to use the toilet then the time would come out of her break. I have autism and multiple disabilities and this Greggs/Costa routine was something I’d been doing for two years. I complained to Costa’s head office and was told by a man named Karan Kotwal that Rob is a good friend of his and he could not imagine him behaving in such a manner. Karan then told me if I wanted to continue my complaint to “bring it on”. I then received missed calls at 11pm every night for a week, which only stopped when I furthered my complaint to the CEO of Costa UK. I was offered no formal apology by Rob, Karan, or the Costa group. They gave no acknowledgment to my disabilities, nor did they acknowledge the hostile attitude or inappropriate behaviour of Rob. This is a discriminatory business ran by a bully. Avoid.

I was met by a lovely lady called Fiona J Victor. Excellent customer service and she made my drink perfect! I do wish we had more people like her because she was polite and effiecient in her job, unlike the workers at cape hill! I hate going capehill cos the manager there is rude. No customer service manners! I can’t stand their rude behaviour and I tip them. Not anymore! Only divyani can’t remember her name. Beautiful person !

Handed my cv Into store on many of occasions not once have I been called for a interview or even acknowledged very under staffed I go in today to find them interviewing new staff and other new members there also.An acknowledgment would have been sufficient

By far the best costa I’ve been to. Clean environment and fast and friendly staff.

Went into the store, staff was so rude he was on the phone to someone shouting moaning so loud spoil the atmosphere for everyone; we all got scared the way he ran around the store. Some people left their drinks and left the store. Bad atmosphere…could not relax in the place.

The chap that works as Barista is excellent. Very hard working, Cap with Soya was on point, cheese on toast, not the tastiest, just decent.

Clean, nice place for a little tea break. Staff are friendly.

Nice and quiet Costa. Has their own Costa WIFI. The Baritsa lady kept calling me "sweetheart" which was nice. Close to the bus stops, and walking distance to the Hagley Road Birmingham / Sandwell border in Bearwood.

Amazing branch, the guy working there is super helpful, fast, wish costa can get copies of him for the other branches 😁

Not a great service I came in a while back. Staff look confused and the manager rob…? Is very passive aggressive and bully’s the junior staff. Won’t be back

Awful experience. It has really put me off going to going to any Costa ever again. Rude and racist server called Rob. My friend and I ordered our drinks, we were going to sit and work for a while, both being professionals working remotely, however once drinks were made we were literally told we couldn't sit in to work and told to leave if that's what we were doing, I was speechless. I ordered a drink in drink and I left the drink untouched and left Costa...plenty of people were sitting and working, of course none if them were of colour. Experience really has given me Costa anxiety. Haven't been to a Costa since and will not be going to one ever again.

Shame my cake was dry. Coffee was nice.

Everything good but staff is very rude

Rude staff member lacks how to interact with customers. Coffee is not good as usual but adding poor customer service, two star review is exactly what they deserve. Experienced on the 6th March at 09:15 at Bearwood Branch. I think it is better to buy from local coffee shops rather than making Costa bigger.

They do make a nice coffee but the staff have no time to even be polite to anyone as your just a number waiting for your order ttxxxxxxx

Popped to this store today have to say the two members of staff that were on were lovely the manager Rob couldn't do enough and the young lady Georgia who has only been there a few weeks was pleasant professional at all times both were very busy and rushed off thier feet but were still smiling friendly curtious I shall be popping in again well done guys well done Costa

Very good coffee, a little more cleanliness in cups and teaspoons

Nice place, very friendly staff and plenty of room to find a seat. Just remember the toilet is locked but the code is on the bottom of the receipt. Parking a bit of a nightmare.

Love Costa staff are brilliant love the new manager Rob his great and is a good asset to these group

Really a very welcoming environment

The standard Costa experience - decent high street chain coffee and food. Friendly and helpful staff elevate the experience. Seating inside and out (not that Bearwood Road is the nicest to sit outside in due to traffic volume, but it gives an option for a fresh air pit stop!)

As a rule of thumb I prefer it when the staff follow basic hygiene rules. The guy behind the counter was picking his teeth, wiping his nose on his arm and then serving food. Gross. My food was prepared by the other staff.

I start working in bearwood area recently and as a coffee addict , I can't start my day without my coconut milk latte from Costa , I've been visiting the place every morning for the last 2 months , I would give the place 10 stars if I could , nice coffee and very well trained staff , the team very polite and they always greet you with a big smile . And would like to thank the manager Annie and all her team for the hard work . Keep it up guys you are doing a wonderful job .

Nice addition to the area. I mainly use the delivery service. Never had an issue.

Average drinks - no different to a costa Express. Had a really avrage hot chocolate there on more than one occasion. Opening times are wrong on google search too. Go to the local coffe shops instead - Why Not Bearwood, Jonathans, Happy Coffee etc

Very nice take away treat 2 x Terrys hot chocolate drinks. Look forward to the opportunity of being able to sit inside again.

Went in today and waited and as usual the snail pace service was the same, from what I could see three staff on and only one working on the counter and she was busy doing the deliveries for uber, unfortunately this seems to be happening quite a lot now and have seen several people give up and walk out, today I did the same, i enjoy having a Latte but if this kind of service continues, I will be taking my custome elsewhere.

I wish I'd gone here sooner! A great find on the High Street. Loved the space, the drinks and food. Everything freshly prepared and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.

Rude and racist costumer service . Stuff don't like to surf costumers they behave like they do a favour no them job . Dirty floor and windows , dishes are no wash properly . My latte was look like cappuccino . Menager speak like she is better then anyone else . I'm not recommend that place .

I like the location, the drinks, the decor and the friendly staff. Only peeve is the opening hours could be a little later like 9pm close.

Staff member refusing me to use the disabled toilet when I am in a wheelchair myself. Was very rude to me and my carer when it's the only accessible toilet I can use.

I"ve been to this cafe several times but this visit today was by far the worst and I was actually served by the manager this time so that does not reflect well on the standard of service customers receive here. I ordered a cheese and tomato toastie and a pot of tea which came to just under £6. The manager proceeded to sling my saucer onto the counter followed by the cup. I think he was trying to show off but the impression it gave was slapdash. My toastie was plonked on a plate with the napkin shoved between the two halves. I went to get another from the condiments counter only to find there were none. This has happened before but usually there is a roll of blue paper towel but there was none today. I chose a central table to sit down at only to find that the air conditioning vent was above my table which made it positively chilly. I moved to another table which wasn't much better. This table was next to cushioned seating which sank when you sat on it and all the tables were positioned too far away from the seating so you had to lean over to reach my plate. Eventually I moved the table closer only to find that the napkin I had been given had stuck to my sandwich where it touched the melted cheese. I now had cheese all over my hands and no napkin to wipe my fingers on. I then left my plate and handbag and went back over to the condiments table to see if I had missed the napkins first time around. I found a sign that said that in order to protect the environment save waste, napkins were available from my barista which I felt was fair enough. I couldn't catch anyone's attention so had to queue up to get a napkin leaving my food to go cold. When I did get to the counter I was given a total of nine napkins. So much for protecting the environment... Needless to say I won't be visiting again...

Slow service and expensive cakes probably wouldn't go again

I ask for Skim Milk, but been given Full Milk instead, which l find a bit heavy. I have to throw it away being only halfway drank.

Good coffee and a relaxing place to enjoy it.

Unfortunately, not the best experience at the Bearwood branch. Severely understaffed, only 2 staff. Tables were not cleared which seems to be the case everytime we go, so nowhere to seat. My order was wrong. No cream and a tall chocolate instead of a small one, spilling of whole sides and no spoon given. For the price Costa is charging, it's not good enough...

The lady with the blue hair had the most wonderful smile and brightened up my day. Also the coffee tasted great.

The staff was really not focused at all and that costed me money. I ordered hot chocolate, cakes and a croissant. First they put the hot chocolate in a cup while I wanted take away and then they didn't even put my croissant in the bag. I discovered that when I was already in the bus. Their inability to focus cost me the.money for my croissant....they were even with the 3 of them! I hope the manager reads this and has the willingness to still help me out.

Friendly staff and good service

Tried the orange latte and my friend had gingerbread and cream latte, the cups was only just over half filled with coffee the rest was cream. Couldn't really taste the orange and the drinks was luke warm. Very disappointed.

Was dirty personel don't know how to serve , give dirty plate and Spon when costumer say about that women say is no problem. Not nice
