Costa Coffee in County Durham

My coffee was served quickly & by a lady who was on her first day. She was polite & cheerful Thank you! The coffee is always good & so are the cakes etc etc. I was good on this occasion & just had a coffee.

Staff on the till Gabby although super busy was super polite friendly and helpful, the lady making the coffee didn’t catch her name but always on coffees super fast and good coffees each time!! We always come back

Cake came squashed into a think cardboard thing (not a cake one) and obvs resulted in just a pile of mush, awful. Didn’t receive cake received a pile of what was once a cake that had been forced roughly into a tight thin packaging and ruined.

This store suffers the same fate as many Costa stores, slow service. In fact in my experience the speed of service is inverted against the number of staff available. The more staff the slower the service. It doesn't always need to be that way, I have experienced other Costa stores that were super speedy. I'm afraid after the recent closure of the nearby Starbucks store the demand will increase so the team need to pull their socks up a bit to keep up on with demand. The atmosphere in the store is nowhere to be seen. It just feels so antiseptic. As always I find the food great at Costa. It could be cheaper though so not giving full marks.

I ordered 2 items and only one arrived

Great service and friendly staff. They even allowed us to feed our little lad in his pushchair, even tho we asked for take away drinks.

Rather crowded but it's a popular place. But good coffee as always!

Although I'm on a diet now, if your not then try the biscoff cheescake 😋

The biscoff cheesecake we ordered had a foul taste. We were given unwashed cutlery, asked for a replacement. Coffees and hot chocolate we ordered was very bland.

Ordered white and normal hot chocolate both had more milk and water than chocolate and it was more watery feel. Also lotus biscoff had a bad taste. Spoons given were used.

Busy and rather too small for the number of people, it's very popular. All the usual Costa fare, very friendly and efficient staff

The jugs that the store where boiling there milk hadn't been washed for a good while which made the coffee taste bitter. I noticed alot of people were leaving there drinks half drank when I was stood in the queue. I love costa but wouldn't go here again at Dalton Park. The tables hadn't been cleared for ages. People were siting with others Customers cups plates etc untidy store.

My order didn’t even arrive. No cancellations states delivered but never came. Shocking

We had a lovely hot Capachino, cheese cake and millionaires shortbread deeeellicious, served by two lovely friendly assistants.

The staff are polite and very helpful.

One star deducted as staff had to put in long customer loyalty card number due to the QR code scanner not being accessible on customer mobiles, caused through loss of wifi signal in the store. As much a frustration to staff as well as customers.

First class facilities and service. Just what you would expect. Also a toilet with two coat hooks, a very rare site these days. Well done Costa Team

It seems the staff don't know what products are in the place.

I'm not a massive fan of the interior of Costa because it tends to be loud and echo but ... It has nice drinks. The M&S range of sandwiches is a nice improvement. Could do with gluten free options. Always seems to take so long to qué for your drinks. Which is a shame.

Service was slow and disjointed. Plenty of tables empty but most of them dirty, with previous customers crockery and rubbish left behind. Staffs were friendly and polite.

Worst coffee I have ever had. Chemical taste. Will never got back!!

The cheese and ham toastie is the worst I have ever eaten. Minimal amount of ham and a tiny bit of cheese in the middle on one half. Staff were great by the way. Disappointed and still hungry.

One of the better Costa coffee shops I've been too. Friendly staff and usual fast service. Good variety of sandwiches and cakes, with well positioned seating area for your convenience. But think its about time to get rid of all the screens, bit of a pain now.

Got a flat white and it was flat, tasteless, my machine at home makes better coffee
