Costa Coffee in Barnet

Today 29.01.25 ladi at coffie shop (dark blonde hair) was absolutely rude !!!! Never back again She comments my order on front of me in rude way Other lady dark hair was ok but that blond was terrible I ask for not too hot coffie she give me very hot coffee!!! But her comments never forget!

Visited on Saturday 28/12/2024 at 11am it was not busy at all the Romanian girl behind the counter didn’t acknowledge me standing in front of her instead she was busy talking to her friend in Romanian other girl came over and served me and this Romanian girl started to shout at me for no reason what my order was so she can take my money. Extremely extremely rude attitude no customer service skills at all

I work for Gail’s bakery. This evening 10/12/24 at 17:30 I went to Costa with my family to have coffee. The girl who was behind the counter was absolutely rude and aggressive. I asked her what time you closing? She answered me why I’m asking ??? WHAT? Why I’m asking? Because I’m a customer!! I asked her questions instead of answering me she was cleaning and then ignoring me!!! Absolutely bad customer service I will never come back!!!!!!

Always positive lovely ladies with a smile on their faces. Lovely hot chocolate for this weather. Great facilities!!!

Really disappointed with the service. The hot chocolate I had ordered spilt completely and soaked the bag and I had to reorder it. The delivery driver showed no remorse for what happened, even if it was accidental. They dumped the bag on our doorstep and when I answered the door they had already driven off on their motorcycle. I would have appreciated it if they had come to the door and explained what had happened to my order but they did not want to seem to take any responsibility.

I am Costa customer ; I buy at least 2 coffee a day , today I really needed to use the toilet, I went to the shop and they didn't let me use the toilet ; they said I have to buy something to let me in , I went to McDonald's anyway, but it wasn't nice from this shop

People please be very very careful. I went today with my friend for coffee and someone stole her phone. I feel so bad because my friend is also pregnant and she should not get stressed. Shame on the gypsy women who stole her phone. Be alert she comes straight to your table and begs for money she has also a big leaflet with her and she takes the phone under the leaflet. Big credits to the manager who was willing to help us with the cctv cameras and advise us with the nearest police station. Thank you for your help. I hope we find the phone, fingers crossed🙏

Went on a Saturday morning around 11am and got a coffee to go. Very clean and tidy, the staff seemed organised and were working on various tasks. Young lady served me (maybe Southern European or Middle Eastern) - polite, friendly and efficient. A pleasant atmosphere. I was hesitant to go because of some of the reviews I read, but was pleasantly surprised. Also, the seating area is big and looks in very good condition, so next time I'll stop by for a coffee to have in.

I made an order, Cortado with sugar and an iced caramel latte which I can't see any straw and sugar it's been the second time this has happened can you please make sure at least put a straw for an iced latte it's difficult to drink it in public

İ Were there today service was very bad 2 GİRLS work there the got my order but they did not ready my order after me came 4 costumers they gave to them their order and I wait there with 2 kids when I told them I wait here for 20 minutes and you do not make ready my order they did not apologize they are very rude I do not Recommend to anyone

This shop is a little gem. Coffee is just perfect and the staff is very kind and polite always.

Awful experience, aggressive staff, very rude when I asked about price and meal deals. Asked for the manager and been shouted. Never again.

If there was a lower star than 1, I would have used that for the staff. I felt racially discriminated. The two staff members happily getting their pictures taken and chatting without acknowledging that I I have been standing looking at them for a while. Costa has always been my preference but never again am I setting my foot in this Costa. Please treat people with respect and dignity as it’s everyone’s right!!!

I was there on Sunday at 15:30 And they said in the very rude mood they are closed. They been 2 Romanian womens ( I speak the language)and they start to complain to each other about me.. Was very very rude conversation.. Why the website saiing it’s open till 16;00 f there is no service at 15:30?

A very un hygienic costa. I saw Rat when I visited the store to order cofee. Never go back as there is health and safety issue.

I dont understand why in this Costa is always so rude to their clients and cannot offer just basic customer service. Even if you client has not understood sth on their bill or has made a mistake you ought to just explain them in a nice manner and not just point them out to leave. I was treated like a horrible person today just because I didnt understand what I am paying for as the lady was not explaining it to me but telling me off as i didnt know I would get charged for the oat milk and I didnt know that 2 sizes are mini and small and I asked for the smallest which in Costa would mean mini but not for the rest of the world but because I said small then it wouldn't mean mini (like really). Yes it is my mistake but why cant you just explain that to your client nicely instead of giving horrible looks and tell them to go forward and not ask and then even make fun of myself. Utterly disgusting behaviour. I only hope you dont treat your loved ones like this.

Very average coffee shop with average staff who appeared not to really enjoy their jobs.

Poor customer service, worse costa coffee I have ever been. Even though been working for costa over 2 years.... Ordered mint chocolatw chip cooler, which should Look green hovewer they were too lazy to wash a blender from previous cooler so my mint chocolatw chip looked brown.... I Will avoid this store..!!!

Waited over 20mins for a iced coffee which they forgot from my first order, rude unapologetic staff with no customer service skills etc, will avoid Costa cafes from now on!

Can't go wrong with a Costa coffee - there have been plenty of coffee shops in Barnet who have come and gone - but it's great to see Costa sticking around. Highly recommended with some nice outdoor seating in the Spires shopping centre.

Good Coffee what more can you ask for!

It was very empty-looking without the chairs & tables and no customers but the coffee tasted as good as usual.

One of the worst Costa Coffee's I have visited. The tables were incredibly messy and no one was cleaning the lobby. When we asked the staff at the till to clean a table for us they all proceeded to ask us to ask the other staff members, there were only 3. Finally after complaining, they actually cleaned A table.. the place looks really run down, not sure if we just caught it on a bad day.. wouldn't go back there again.

First decaf latte in month from my regular Costa store which is open again. Counter is made like a bank counter. Everyone and everything is benind plastic blindes with two pass through slots which makes communicating with the staff hard.

Nice small quiet Costa for a Sunday can read the papers in peace nice coffee pleasant staff might be busy in the week with the kid from the college over the road but I’ll just come on Sunday then 👍

THEIR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE VERY GOOD

We ordered two iced flat whites. When we got them they were warm with no ice and no foam. When we complained the staff were hostile and said their foam machine was broken, and instead of telling us before making the drink, made it wrong without telling us and tried to make it our problem. When we said they should have told us their machinery was broken they started arguing with each other and we ended up walking out with no drink, no refund and an odd aftertaste not consistent with any coffee I've ever had. Really appalling for a Costa.

I just wanted to thank the staff at Costa High Barnet for being polite and friendly, and also for their hardwork. The place is so clean and tidy, the girls are doing above and beyond their duties. Thank you my dears for exemplary attitude!!!

Would be better if the tables were organised in a sensible way. It feels cluttered up and not relaxing at all. Looks messy and unwelcoming.

I find staff are often quite rude at this Costa. I am very friendly and often say hello enthusiastically when I go to order. I have often been ignored. Baristas are so-so, defiantly far from a good Costa.

Serves burnt coffee, then when you raise the issue with staff and request a replacement they'll serve you another burnt coffee... :/

The coffee and service is lovely, can't fault it. The shop is very small but there is a out door seating area to make up for it.

Ordered a white hot chocolate and a latte, both were lukewarm. 1 star, and that's only because we were able to shelter from the rain.

I'm up visiting a friend and we decided to come to Costa, the staff wasn't too sure on what was going on, no one showed us a smile. We ordered two mint hot chcoclates, they wasn't very hot when we received them. If your looking for five star service you won't get it here.

very bad experience as they gave me a 10 day expired lemon juice and i was not happy about that. Also i ordered a small hot chocolate baby chino temperature it was as cold as milk and the taste was disgusting. This is very bad service and i would not recommend this coffee shop to anyone.

Rude baristas. Not polite. A client poured her latte and they were pissed off, they didn't offer the client another drink, didn't clean the table. Horrible people. Shouldn't work in such place!

It is small and has limited seating. Staff in general are nice and the hot/cold drinks are great.

No toilets available for customers. Terrible WiFi signal. Coffee is ok, always by the speck. Friendly staff.
