Costa Coffee in Glasgow City

We visit this Costa on a weekly basis. It's always very busy and the customer service of the staff is always very high none more so than Lauren. Her customer service to all the customers is exceptional and I suspect she has a very bright future in Costa.

I was waiting for my toastie and one of the colleagues called Sophie actually spoke very rudely asking “are you waiting for something” she was chatting with another customer who seemed to be a regular. Was not happy with her attitude at all, especially since I was standing minding my own business just waiting for my order!

Staff are very friendly and quick to prepare food. Only complaint is that tables are not cleared regularly enough when it’s busy.

Use this Costa all the time it's staff are great

Went here for Black Forest after being turned down at other Costas. I asked one of the girls if they had Black Forest before I ordered and she was happy to go and check for me. She was very polite and friendly. Kris at the till was really helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate us making up for the poor service elsewhere. The hot choc was great. Hard to get a seat here but that’s through no fault of the staff.

Open air café in the main corridor of the mall so it's quite cramped. It's a Costa so you know what you're getting. Staff are generally friendly and quick at serving.

I use this Costa Coffee outlet a lot.Grest service nice staff and I like Silverburn .

Have to say the staff in silverburn are all great.I pop in regulary for a quick coffee always use this store & was having a particularly bad day today & just chatting with the staff here restored my faith in humanity.They genuinely show an interest in your conversation .Always remember you & ask how you are doing with a smile(which in my job is priceless).The coffee is always amazing & nothing is ever too much trouble for them.I hope head office know/appreciate what genuinely great staff they have working in silverburn..Well done to them all.If I could give more stars I would.

Best place in braehead for a coffee and treats, unfortunately, shame there is no choice of low sugar or sugar free for diabetics please remedy this as soon as possible as there are a few diabetics.

Very busy and service was a bit on the slow side. If you like coffee get an extra shot in your Americano. Bit week otherwise.

Costa outlet in walkway of the shopping centre. Usual products available and usual standard (better than Starbucks). Can get busy with a fair wait to be served and there is limited seating.

Placed order and she forgot to put panini in oven and give us the cake we ordered and paid for. We had to ask for the food twice.

Arrived 1726. Told takeaway only. At least half the tables blocked. Counted at least 4 staff. Refuseddlexibikity when asking to sit down...seriously?! Would you like sugar with that? Frankly, the staff tail is wagging the Costs dog. Closing to discuss the Christmas party one hour early. And the manager duesn' t arrive till six. Isn' t hybrid working just the best?! Never going fur a coffee ever again. Simply rubbish customer service ethos?! No

Service was quick and the choice of food extensive. Seating area was quite scruffy in place and tables needed a good general wipe down after every customer.

Typical Costa coffee shop in what it sells but this one is out in the open. Located right in the middle of Silverburn. Nice place to have a coffee and watch the world go by.

Just dropped in for a Costa for the first time in a while. It's 5:40pm on a Wednesday. Not busy at all. Asked for a medium latte and I was not impressed. The barista puts the milk on, lets the jug sit there with the steam wand on full blast while she checks her Instagram and Facebook. The milk was left sputtering past its boiling point as she replied to her pals message. She then pours this into a cup along with the coffee which had no crema. For those who wants to burn their mouths off, this is the place to go.

Reasonable as always, staff very friendly, coffee okay, nice island with people milling about.

Place looked untidy and it didn't look very clean either considering it was first thing in the morning

Usually difficult to get a table (especially at weekends). Prices are reasonable, service is quick and friendly, same as most other coffee shop chains.

You have to ask for a glass for your water even though you are sitting in... so do you get your coffee without a cup? Shouldn't have to work that hard to have a decent experience. That said, service in this one was much quicker than the other ones I had been to recently, where incidentally, I also had to ask for a glass.

Horribly slow service... 10 min wait, for a 2-3 person queue? Very inefficient....

Was disappointed as my Mum had buy one coffee get one free voucher, but was informed in shop that was only Costa Coffee shop in Asda store she could redeem the voucher, dont know what difference it would make to accept the voucher in all Costa Coffee shops as we were just meeting up for a coffee and chat.

They had no napkins I had to ask for sugar the, I'm sorry to say that service has went down hill recently.

Best part of Costs Coffee at Darnley is the staff, very friendly, cheery and welcoming. The staff usually on drive through make your day by welcoming you. Drive with coffee fragrance and crisp voice we need to start a day. They are very busy, cars can be waiting outside, on the main road, because of the que but it's alright. I can understand the parent's frustration on the road who wanting to go and drop off or pick up their kids. Just one suggestion, if Costa can put signage for waiting cars to come in few folds, so minimum waiting is on the road. They have sufficient parking, not used all because of coffee shop closed. This can be used as alternative. One staff can come outside and guide the cars just like McDonald's do or may be issue the order number ticket and move them from window so que is shorter on the roads. Over all best place to visit and hear most cheery and helpful staff. Pick up your coffee before you drive anywhere.

Not a bad Costa, was much better before it was revamped. Staff doing a good job during Covid but as always there is a Kevin or Karen who gob off. In this case a middle eastern Kevin who did not know how to play nice. Tried to jump the queue to sit down and was told to do wan (very politely) to leave the seating area as it was after 5. The Black Forest Hot Chocolate was good but not as good as the (I cant believe I am saying this) Kilmarnock store.

Not a lot of tables available so expect quite long wait time as people are still sitting reading papers and using phones even when their drinks and food are finished. Usual nice coffee although could have been a bit hotter!

Waited long time to be served. Then went to table which was so unstable spilled the coffee etc. Which was replaced. Staff pretty thick and unable to think on there feet. Unstable table was put back in place when i left, a need for better staff and staff training.

OK, usual stuff. Of the three members of the team there when I went in, 2 had no interest in customer service. The manager (I think, not wearing a Costa uniform like the others) was unhelpful and unbothered about a customer waiting to be served.

I like this Costa, the way it’s designed the open-ness of it. HOWEVER they seem to stick their laziest staff in there. They shut 2 hours before they are meant to without fail everyday, they chase customers away, they block of seated areas 3 hours before they are meant to close and start serving only takeaway only at the same time. A costa I like the look of but staff aren’t the best

Costa Coffee was in Galway but has closed down due to Covid-19. While visiting in Glasgow I found this place in Silverburn. It's in a central island in about the first third of the complex. They operate Social Distancing and there is usually a queue unless your order is 'to go!' The service is friendly but brisk. I find many 'to go" services are this way mainly as a side effect of Covid-19. As to this Costa - Aside from the friendly staff and their efficient service, the menu et al is the same. I've visited a few times this week and found my time enjoyable.

Staff so rude need training on manners. To busy talking among themselfs. I asked for a decalf coffee witch wasnt a decaff and cause me to have a vertigo attack. No tables to sit at cause off the situation with covid. Staff telling people in cue thay had to wait twenty minutes. Will not be back. If i could off gave it 0 stars i would

Very enjoyable coffee staff very nice and helpful

Visiting from Canada.Had a double espresso(great flavour)and a cheese toasty warmed up. Fantastic!!!!

Poor service, not many free tables, several tables were filled with dirty dishes, staff (Cassius) not interested. Very disappointing.

Slow service, clearly needed more staff. Staff polite and friendly, hence 3 stars or it really should be less . Dirty tables, dreadful hot chocolate ( very watery) & cheese & ham toasties covered in over powering mustard! Quality of products need to improve.

Waited almost 15mins in the queue for a cooler only to be told the ice machine is broken. Put up a sign so that you don't break the faith of your soon to be ex regulars...
